When arriving it looked like a small old school shop. This could be hit or miss. Talked to the guy who came to check the tire out and he recommended that the tire might just need a patch which would be 40 bucks. Sure, why not? Guy came back out in 10 minutes with a freshly patched tire, popped it back on and said 20 dollars. I was amazed. Haven't had a problem since. Respect to Friqui Tires. *****

After my mother expressed concern about the cost, he offered to reduce the charge to $114, which only reinforced the impression that the original price was arbitrary. When she stated that she would not be returning, his response was, "We have plenty of customers and don't need your business." Regardless of whether the price increase was justified, treating a loyal customer, especially a senior citizen, with such disrespect is inexcusable. Businesses have every right to set their prices, but they should also treat customers with honesty, transparency, and basic courtesy. My mother left feeling taken advantage of, disrespected, and unappreciated after years of supporting this business. Based on this experience, neither she nor our family will ever return.

If the tire was patchable all along, why was replacement the first recommendation? This felt less like an honest assessment and more like testing whether I'd just accept the upsell. This isn't isolated either. On a previous visit, my wife was told she had a serious alignment issue that was "super unsafe." Tesla had just completed routine service with no such concerns flagged. Between these two incidents, it's clear there's a pattern of pushing unnecessary services on customers who might not know better. Quick service means nothing when you can't trust the diagnosis. I understand shops need to make money, but building long-term customer relationships through honest recommendations would serve them far better than what feels like exploiting people's lack of knowledge. I won't be returning, which is unfortunate because the speed and convenience would otherwise make this my go-to shop.
