Great local spot for breakfast. We went as two large families and the staff got everything correct which was amazing for a group our size.

I came with a large group of ladies (separate checks) which I'm sure is a nightmare for servers. We got a slow start but once she got into the groove, service picked up. Our server was friendly & patient with the group. Food all looked delicious. I had eggs Benedict & a cubano espresso. Both were pretty good! I didn't get any pastries because I didn't see them on the menu but I caught a glimpse upon exit. Everything looks great. I'll be back for a pastry & coffee in the future. read more

Wow. Every ingredient was the highest quality. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the tomatoes were at peak ripeness, the fruit was deliciously robust, the coffee equally so and the cream was fresh and cold... I'd come back for the cole slaw alone! The chicken on the salad was perfectly grilled and juicy. Prices are the lowest in town. Obviously this guy is passionate and cares deeply about what he does. This is one of the finest new eateries we have been to. Jose, the owner goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. His creations are delicious and we have been back four times in a month. We stopped for a bite at J Goody Cafe Bakery - our first time but definitely not our last. As soon as we walked in, we felt a warm and friendly vibe. Linda was our server and she was happy and welcoming. The vibe never ended as this was her demeanor each time she approached our booth. She had a wonderful knowledge of any menu item, including the baked goods. I had the cranberry pecan pancakes and with this flavor combo, it brought pancakes to a new level! The specialty coffees were so delicious and they come in two sizes, very reasonably priced. We couldn't leave without bringing home some baked goods. I just had a taste of the chocolate cream pie and it was exceptional. It was difficult to not eat the entire piece but at least I have some for another tasting. J Goody is a welcome addition to our area which was sorely in need of something exceptional and different. We've found our new favorite place!! read more

Absolute hidden gem! This place is tucked into a strip plaza next to an Ace Hardware store. This newly opened location has a nice, clean, open dining area and the staff are all very friendly. We tried breakfast, and I am so glad we did. Our food, all three dishes were all excellent. Fresh and homemade dishes that were quickly served hot and decent sized portions. The coffee was excellent, as was the bacon, and the grits. They have excellent rolls baked fresh too! I highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure! read more

Everything about this place is great. Lynda the waitress/hostess is all smiles and as good as it gets in the service industry. Started with chicken noodle soup which is the best in town. Have had the turkey/Thanksgiving combo......it was delicious, the NY Strip steak....terrific (I've been there multiple times), sandwiches great. Very comfortable atmosphere. Favorite lunch spot in Tampa and I've been to all of them. The owner has come out of the kitchen on multiple visits and couldn't be a nicer guy.
