On the day of install his crew showed up and were professional, detailed, and cleaned up after themselves. They took pride in their work and inspected every section of the artificial turf to ensure precise application. Unfortunately we had an issue with our window flare causing problems and this is where Chad really shined. He acknowledged our concerns and went above and beyond to help resolve it. Transparently I was being a bit of a Karen too when the issue happened. Despite this Chad stayed professional, understanding, and was doing everything he could to make sure we were happy. The experience humbled me and reminded me that not everyone is out to take advantage of you. There are still some really honest, kind, and reliable contractors out there. Chad is definitely at the top of this list. I really appreciated that his goal was to do right by us. I will definitely be referring, praising, and telling everyone about CST and Chad. I know our backyard alone will speak volumes with how beautiful it turned out.

The main seam down the middle was done very bad in which i believe he noticed right away so his crew re did it. When they re did it, they left nail heads an inch above ground. This caused my son and I to keep stepping on them. He came back to hammer them in but now the seam showed terribly again. This led me to believe the high nail heads were intentional to fluff the turf to correct the mistake. Now the seam is very visible and they have stated they can't do anything to fix it. The second issue I noticed was the scratches in the sidewalk his crew left. My driveway cement already isn't the nicest so it doesn't matter to me too much, but this could be a bigger issue to someone who has a nicer driveway. There are some issues with the old brick they expanded from and attached the turf too. Now needs to be re grouted/re bricked. Although Ignacio was very kind, I would have paid a bit more in hindsight to have a nicer job done. I've attached pictures of the main seam.

We opted for the MSI putting turf with fringe pet turf as we have a dog and maintenance would be easier. They were able to get us quickly scheduled and got it done in just one day. They took care of excavating the original grass, digging out a few inches of dirt, covered it with a weed prevention layer, then filled it in with gravel and leveled it out. Then they were able to install our putting green design we discussed with beautiful curved edges. We had a water drain running underneath already and they were able to connect to it to help with water drainage in case of heavy rain. Overall, we absolutely loved the end result and spend so much more time in our backyard practicing our putts and even short chipping from a nearby mat. With less maintenance and noticeably less bugs we even have movie nights here and the turf has held up well. Worth the money and long term investment as we got more usable space for the family with rates below the average costs in LA.

When we agreed on a date/time for him to come and give an on-site quote, he actually came on time, with a sample of turf, ready to go. I appreciate that. Once I got the ok from the boss (wife), he started the job that week and I NEVER HAD TO FOLLOW UP WITH HIM. He would be calling and texting me that he had a question or suggestion due to something we didn't think about at the time. The photos are actually 2 jobs. Job #1 - Backyard - turfed area & side dirt area. This was a HUGE TASK. The area was so un-leveled that we would have pools of water sitting there after a rainy day. It was IMMENSE to backfill the dirt and get everything setup for concrete/turf. These guys made quick work of it AND kept the area tidy after the end of each day. You rarely see that sort of attention and professionalism anymore. Job#2 - Front yard - new privacy plants & clean up After seeing the work Marcos did in the back, I didn't hesitate to start work in the front. Why? because they failed to mow or tend to the trees and scrubs . At the time I was in poor health yet and still I've had to trim trees and scrubs and still have to pick up what is CLEARLY BLOWN trash!!!
