Tomato Soup Beef Slices Rice Noodles, Jis Fried Tofu, Jis Fish Maw Soup Rice Noodles(Without Chicken), Passion Fruit Sparkling Juice
    Lila L.

Came here for lunch on Wednesday at 1:30pm and were seated right away. I got the combo deal tomato soup rice noodles with beef slices, fried tofu, and passionfruit sparkling drink which was a great deal for $17.95. There was a significant amount of stuff (cabbage, tomato, fried tofu, enoki mushroom) in the soup and it was really filling. Service was fast and attentive; we got our food within five minutes of ordering. Only thing I would say is that the passionfruit drink was too sweet for me otherwise a solid choice to dine at if you're craving noodle soups.

My coworker and I popped in on a weekday for dine-in lunch, and there were plenty of seats. I got the R1. Supreme Fish Maw Chicken Soup Rice Noodles based on her recommendation and WOW that broth. So so flavorful, I can't wait to have it again. Next time I'd probably order the R2, which is the same item but without chicken pieces, because I was so full and couldn't finish the chicken pieces. Service was quick, everything looked clean. I look forward to being back!

Delicious fish tofu & mushroom noodles soup and the pot they provide keeps it hot longer! So perfect for a chilly winter night and the staff is very friendly & attentive. Located in a very convenient location in Chinatown and spacious restaurant.

Huge portions of yunnan rice noodle, with some interesting flavors that I haven't seen at other rice noodle shops! I shared the fish maw and chicken and mala flavor noodles with my partner. They come in a huge stoneware bowl and is quite hot and retains heat well. I liked the mala tang the most, but enjoyed trying the fish maw and chicken. Service was fast and friendly. There was plenty of seating in the restaurant and could accommodate larger groups. Rice noodles feature most prominently, but there are plenty of other noodles and rice dishes too.

Love this place. The noodles are super flavorful. The tea is also very good. Staff are friendly and patient, and you can get a stamp card to become a regular. Portions are good size.

Second time here at Ji Bei Chuan and their noodle soups do not miss! Tried the sauerkraut fish noodle soup this time and it was amazing! The R1 special fish maw is always a must-get! Happy hour 20% off for dine in between 3-6pm Mondays-Fridays really cuts the bill! Love this place!

First time here. The noodles are absolutely delicious. I ate it for two days because the portions were so big. Get it spicy. Gives it the perfect kick! Tender and well cooked meat. I would pass on the pumpkin pancake. It's good. Has red bean in it but I think it's reheated.

I was craving soup noodles in this cold weather and stopped by Ji Bei Chuan to check out their chicken fish maw soup. The soup was hearty and rich, with strong chicken and fishy flavors. It was exactly what I needed! The rice noodles 米粉 were also solid and reminded me of the noodles I grew up eating at Hong Kong cafes. It came with several tender chicken pieces (dark meat) and four pieces of silky fish naw. Because the soup was already well-seasoned, the chicken which was also seasoned itself became a little too salty. The noodles also came with some veggies and mushrooms. You can add additional toppings to any noodle soup and I wish got more mushrooms. My friends' fish and tofu noodle soup and tomato beef noodle soup were both solid. Theirs were a part of the lunch set, which came with a choice of appetizers and a drink. The fried tofu and earwood mushrooms were both good, pretty standard. Staff were nice and helpful. Food came out quick. I really appreciate how the noodles were piping hot and remain hot in their stone pots - but be careful cause it can burn you. The prices were also very solid - $50-60ish was enough for my party of 3 to walk out with stuffed bellies and leftovers!

Been here a few times and it's pretty good. The rice noodle soups always hits on a cold day. We ordered their tom yum and mala soups and both were flavorful. The wood ear salad is yummy and the mixed beef was okay. The service is fast.

I've been to this chain a few times at different locations including this one. Originally I tried their recommended supreme fish maw, which features a light broth with their signature ingredient, fish maw. Overall, I thought the dish was good, although personally I wasn't a fan of the texture of the fish maw itself (3/5). Later I've also tried their other flavors including the sauerkraut fish and the chicken dry toss noodles and enjoyed these much more (5/5). The service here is very quick.

The number 1 is the best !! The fish maw is cooked nicely and the chicken is cooked perfect - which isn't easily done. I've also had their fish and tofu before which is also pretty solid. Get their chili oil. They also have specials where you can get a noodle, drink and app for under $20

This is a big franchise in China, followed with the flushing one this one is pretty new to Chinatown. It's not really traditional yuanan cross bridge style nor the Guilin style. But a mixture offering soup base and dry options. There are many soup base flavor tailor to different taste you just need to choose your protein. I tried their R1 fish maw chicken noodle soup, I was surprised that how bland it tastes, the broth also didn't contain much collagen that it supposed to, instead it tastes water down. There are maybe one four pieces of chicken and minimum toppings, I guess $17 don't get much. The portion is normal, I was able to finish everything including the broth. Appetizer crispy pork was not crispy. Soggy and flavorless I had to ask for extra chili flakes to enhance the flavor. The brown sugar rice cake is nice, deep friend and covered with brown sugar and syrup.

This location used to be one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants. Was a bit sad that it's closed but was pleasantly surprised that this new restaurant has one of the best chicken soup I have had! The R1 Supreme fish maw chicken noodle soup certainly hit the spot on a chilly day! Chicken was very tender and soup was very flavorful. Portion was huge and can be shared by two people. In fact, I couldn't finish it and took half of it to go. Staff was very friendly, and service was quick and attentive. Pretty spacious restaurant and some decor remained the same. Would definitely come back again.

I hadn't been to EDH in a while and was happy to see they do have later hours (with a smaller late night menu). The place was pretty busy at 10:00 PM last Saturday, with a wide range of diners, which is good for business. The food though, at least that night, was really disappointing. My friend had the chicken dumplings. He said they were okay. I thought they were overcooked. My steamed shrimp shumai were fine, but steamed, they didn't have much flavour. The edamame, on the other hand, had way too much when it should have almost none. I don't know if it was excess salt, MSG or something else, but not good. I should have sent them back. I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen.
