The owner and his family have been serving Hong Kong-style street food to the community for over 30 years. Before opening its storefront on Bayard Street in the summer of 2023, it was an iconic food cart on the corner of Grand Street and Bowery. I stopped by ~30 minutes before closing on a Saturday, so it wasn't too busy. I've heard it can get hectic during peak hours, so be prepared for a crowd or long lines--this place is popular! The store is tiny, with only 4-5 stools lined up along a counter. It's a no-frills vibe that's designed for grab-and-go. One thing I really liked was how welcoming the place felt. The walls are decorated with photos of the owner and his customers over the years, which adds a warm, personal touch. You can tell he's proud of his business and genuinely values the connections he makes with customers. My eyes were popping out with excitement as I scanned the menu.
