Great spot for cheap eats. You can order a nice bowl of noodle soup or get a combo meal for under $15 and walk away satisfied, which is super rare these days in this economy. Some of the highlights for my includes a very unhealthy Fried Meat Patty ($7) (but it's sooo good), Braised Beef Noodle Soup ($15), and Special Wonton Soup ($6). They're known for their $1 Big Meat Bun, which I did not try.

We ordered several different dishes so we could try a variety of things, and overall everything was really good. The standout by far was the pan-fried dumplings with cheese... every single bite somehow tasted better than the last. I also ordered the soft noodles with peanut butter sauce, which were flavorful and very satisfying. The braised noodle soup was pretty good as well, and you could really tell from every dish that the noodles are made fresh. We also tried the wonton soup, which was solid, although I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the broth (not much flavor). Ordering there is really easy with their system where you order up front and they bring everything to your table, and the inside was clean with very friendly staff!

Heard about the grand opening specials & went to check it out. It is only available yesterday and today. Each customer is allowed to buy a big dumpling for $1 or beef noodle soup for $5. Only one choice. The usual price for the dumpling is $3 and the noodle soup is usually $14.95. There was a line but moved quickly. I ordered the $5 beef noodle soup, steamed chive dumplings and peanut noodles. There was a short wait as I got it for takeout. The staff packing orders made sure people got their orders. There is a decent amount of seating and 2 clean bathrooms in the back. They packed the orders well. The $5 noodle soup was a good deal. Nice touch with the egg. The steamed chive dumplings were good too. Peanut noodles were a bit bland. Definitely have to go back when the grand opening settles down. I wanted to try the hot and sour noodles but they didnt have it today. Will be back to give it a try.

Grand opening I tried the combo today pan-fried bun with pork bone soup for $14.95 The pan-fried pork was delicious and the soup was very refreshing. You place the order at the counter and they serve it to you at the table and also no tipping! They are having a grand opening special for the big bun,for only one dollar each. One per person. normally is three dollars each. The big bun is very juicy.. The servers are nice and efficient.. The interior is bright and modern and clean..

Came here and tried the two noodle special that was happening and the $1 bao. Everything only tasted so so. The meats in the noodles were not great. The meat tasted unseasoned and the texture wasn't great. One bowl of noodles had more noodles than the other. The soup base was alright I guess. The fried pork was not bad but had way too much fatty pieces. The bao was juicy I guess but the overall flavor was only so so also. Even with the special combo pricing, I felt like based on the flavor or the food, it was overpriced. This is a self service place so technically there's no need to tip, and I think my friend saw that upon entering, but there was still a tip request on the receipt. The place was quite busy on a Friday evening, which was to be expected, but the store was spacious enough to accommodate.

Affordable and self serve! You order on an iPad and they hand you a numbered buzzer. My 5 bao set with hot and sour soup was ~$15! The pan fried buns were definitely the highlight - they had crispy skirts that were super yummy. The soup was not as good - it wasn't a classic hot and sour (was things like tomato inside).

Our first day in NY we went to Chinatown for a food crawl/and speakeasy search. (we had great tips from our niece). We happened on Bao Noodle house and the steamed Bao Buns were so tender, and the veggie meat filling was just over the top, I am drooling as I write this - it was that good. Can't wait to visit again. Thank you Bao Noodle House for an amazing meal!

It was my first time at Bao Noodle House, and I had an amazing experience! It was easy to find the restaurant from the street; loved the cute mascot in the front! Prices are reasonable and there's a wide variety of food on the menu. It's a quick service place so you order and pickup at the counter, find a seat, and bus your plates when you're done. I tried a lot of foods as well as a tea, and everything was yummy! They also have a unique item I've never seen before - pork and cheese bao!

BEST PLACE FOR FOOD IN NYC! -Clean -lots of options -kind friendly staff -DELICIOUS! Me and my mom were walking around Chinatown starved and everywhere was packed and it was like discovering an oasis in the desert when we stumbled upon Bao Noodle House! It's obviously not super packed because it's new but it surely soon will be ;) We got lambs skewers spicy and I also added chili oil, wonton soup, and soup dumplings and also passion fruit tea to go. We were also given a free sample of cheese and meat scallion dumplings and they were delicious! The restaurant is a little selfserve and you get your own toppings and put food tray away. But delicious and clean and wonderful. And great place to escape heat.

Starting a business is hard and when you advertise a $1 "Big Bun" to draw in new customers, it better delivers. After a few minutes, the bun was handed to me in a box container in a plastic bag with no napkins. The box container was appreciated but that was where ownership could cut costs in packaging and focus more on delivering a good bun instead. The Big Bun was not what I'd typically call one in my traditional Cantonese upbringing as in a pork bun with egg and Chinese sausage. Instead it was simply minced meat; no green onions as advertised or anything else to cut through the richness of it. With a slight hint of MSG hitting the back of my throat, I knew I wasn't going to come back.

A new restaurant that is semi affordable. I only put semi because they current have specials that are nice such as the $1 big bao limited to 1 person but going by normal prices they are around average in prices. Taste wise, the food is pretty average. The service is also pretty average. You wait till your little device beeps and grab your food. I think they hyped pretty much died by the time we came as there weren't that many people here.

$20 lunch combo gets you a noodle soup + popcorn pork. Tried the pork rib and broth were okay. The popcorn pork? Crispy, flavorful, absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back for that fried pork!

    Interior

Cute little noodle shop in China town with great prices! Got these peanut noodles for less than $6 and they were delicious. My favorite part was that they had soy sauce, chili oil, and sriracha at every table. The inside was also very clean, including the bathrooms. Service was also quick and nice. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. You throw your own food away when you're finished.

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. We had leftovers that they graciously packed up. Solid choice. I hope they stick around as they do bring a different cuisine to the area.

OMG-I just enjoyed one of the most delicious and flavorful Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls EVER!!! Run, don't…read morewalk to try this! It was so delicious. See my photos. The Ahi Tuna was the perfect and proper color it should be. The flavors were SPECTACULAR-WONDERFUL!!! NOTE: WAGAMAMA has added to their menu, since my last visit, so you now have a RAMEN SELECTION, and other yummy additions. I was too full from my spectacular Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to try the Korean bbq Chicken Wings ($8.95) but, I will definitely be back to try them!! I'll post menu photos so you have an idea of the delicious food choices. (April 2026) My very first delicious bite of Ahi Tuna had a heavenly garlic flavor, it was wonderful, and the sweet green seaweed with rice only added to the wonderfulness. Vertical slices of cucumber, onion and scallion, also add deliciously to my wonderful Poke Bowl. Toasted sesame seeds, too. SIMPLY MARVELOUS!!! Remember to be sure to mix the poke bowl rice as you eat, so that you mix the rice with the yummy sauce that may accumulate at the bottom of the poke bowl. I usually eat a little while, THEN, mix the rice. This was so good, I had to eat, eat, eat, before I could stop to mix. LOL. That sweet green seaweed was so yummy!! A lovely mix of flavors...the garlic, the sweetness....I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH!!!! When was the last time you enjoyed a dish so very much that you felt like standing up in the restaurant and telling everyone: THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Well, I felt like that, but I didn't stand up and tell everyone, but I did tell the manager, who happen to come to the table to ask how everything was. And I let him know how much I was enjoying the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. He explained why and how the tuna was so flavorful. We had a delightful brief foodie chat. What a joy!! The service is very nice here. I like the atmosphere too. And the music, which is cool; it does not interfere with thinking, or having a conversation. I really like it here . The women's rest room was very nice, and clean, with a Dyson Hand Dryer, so no paper towels on the floor. Yay! Helping our environment, too!! And I like the black and white wall paper, too. See my photos My last visit I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the same non-alcoholic beverage, " Asian Mint Limeade", from the MINDFUL DRINKS area on the beverage menu. ($9.50) (April 2026). A nice treat! It does have a light carbonation (bubbles). This visit my delicious meal was from the BOWLS SECTION of the food menu, it was the AHI TUNA POKE BOWL ($17.95) (April 2026) With warm, and hot weather on the way, I know I will be enjoying this AHI TUNA POKE BOWL again...and again! If you love good food, good service, and a very cool environment, put this location of WAGAMAMA on your list ! (East side) LOCATED On THIRD AVE, at East 39th Street. There is OUTDOOR SEATING, too, with red umbrellas. See my photos. Enjoy yourself here. Totally delightful. There are several locations in Manhattan. I did not know that. So, the one I have dined at is ON THIRD AVENUE, at EAST 39th Street. Look for the Red Umbrellas outside, at the corner of East 39th Street and Third Avenue. Enjoy!!!

I would rate this a 4.5 instead of a 4 but Yelp doesn't do half ratings lol…read more Yesterday, I was around the neighborhood and noticed Wagamama while wanting lunch. I remembered i liked my experience going to one in London in 2024 and decided to go. I love how attentive the wait staff are, a little too attentive. A waitress, she had long hair and a nose ring, approached me when I was just glancing her way during eating. I didn't need anything, but I appreciate the favor. That same waitress gave me my receipt too early like she wanted me to leave ASAP. This was right before I asked to look at the desserts after I finished my meal. A "Would you like some dessert?" would have be appreciated. Cedrick, my principal waiter, was phenomenal. He decided to take care of me after no one was at the hosting desk for 5 minutes after I arrived. I had the chicken potsticker ramen and it was delicious! The potsticker was seasoned very well: my favorite part. To drink, I had the Asian Arnold Palmer and it was a cute drink! Only downside is the sweetness was not even distributed through the drink, even after I mixed the drink. Even though I had an issue with the service, I saw how caring they were (he looked like a manager now) to a family that came after me with organizing their seats and getting a baby chair. I just wished they gave me the same respect instead of rushing me out the door.
