Jib Lanes has fallen so badly. I used to love coming here now the management has gone to the dogs. I'm bowling in two leagues in this house and every week something is wrong with lanes. They have cosmetically improved the look but the mechanics beneath their ook speak for themselves. The second worse is the ATM machine for some reason it does not take chase Visa cards this has been going on for several months with no action taken by anyone. I spoke to the manager today and he said nobody told him. I went and gave him a demo and he said it was my card and bank yet I used three different cards to demonstrate and only one stayed in the machine. If my card didn't work or was locked how could I use it to buy food from the kitchen? In short avoid this place if you can if they don't want to give you good service dont give them your hard earned money.

This is usually a fun place to go bowling--unfortunately, not this time. I went at 3 pm on Saturday; the place was empty. I was in lane number 2, where the balls just kept getting stuck. This happened throughout the hour, which cost $75. I called for help several times, but no one came. After going to the front desk, the worker had such an attitude. I love supporting small businesses in my neighborhood, but this was a disappointing experience!

Overall a decent bowling alley compared to the other options. I looked at Hillside, Whitestone, and Jibs. Due to the holidays, I called ahead to all of them before deciding to go back to Jibs, which I used to go to a few years back. It was always not too crowded and they had a deal if you go earlier in the day on weekends. You can purchase by game or time spent. We went with the 2 hour rent-a-lane package for $95, which covered shoe rental for all 5 of us. Only 3 of us needed shoes, but it was already included anyways. We were able to complete 3 full games in the two hours while not feeling too rushed in the end. There was only one person behind the counter for F&B so service was on the slower side considering there were a few other groups in the area all ordering food. Pro-tip: Keep the game going if you are bought the timed package. Whether it be using the bathroom or buying food, make sure you are stepping away right after you play so as not to delay the game. They also have ramps to help kids bowl straight!

I grew up in bowling alleys because my mom & dad bowled every weekend BUT I haven't been bowling in decades ( except for one time for a grandchild's birthday party) We came here for my youngest sons bday after we had dinner, it was a great idea. We had coupons from one of my daughters restaurant, we only had to rent the shoes (6.00 each) and the first game was free. We bowled a second game and that was only 24.00 for all of us. There were numerous racks with different size/weight bowling balls to choose from. There's also a few arcade machines in the front as you walk in to play. There's a cafe or snack shop but we didn't investigate that.....yet The place is large and very clean, completely different from the bowling from the bowling alleys that we went to decades ago. They have lockers in the restrooms to store your shoes & personal items. The bathrooms were very clean also We were horrible at bowling, I surprisingly won the first game and my oldest daughter won the second game..... we decided to create a bowling team so we will definitely be coming back to this lovely hidden gem

Jib lanes, the alley is located in an almost "Subterranean cave" surrounded by apartment buildings. Look for the bowling alley sign or you will miss it. The bowling alley boasts a pro shop, Snack bar and vending machines. The lanes are maintained nicely and the equipment is decent, bowling ball selection is sufficient. Now the ball return area is shared with the other lane next to you. I wish other bowlers would have the courtesy to free up some space. Do you really need 8 bowling balls for 2 players?? Pricing during Holidays are a little steep. I recommend going during non holidays and early before the league bowlers come. They cater birthday parties as well. So if You want some Peace and quiet, ask to be placed away from the party area. Finding parking is a nightmare since all the spaces are already taken by tenants in the nearby apartment buildings. So be prepared to walk a little.

Wound up here for the 1st time thanks to a groupon. Would never pay full price to come...was impossible to find a bowling bowl that was the right size for me. And it's just musty and dingy inside. The biggest fail was the concessions. Who doesn't like some greasy junk food when they go bowling? Our pizza took 15 mins to order and another 25 minutes to make and was not worth the price. The one bartender was so apathetic when I walked in to order a few beers I had to wait for her to finish a conversation before she'd take my order. The attitude of the employees here reflects no customer service in the slightest. Never again

    Mmmm balls.

Neighborhood joint that's been around for ages. The place is kept pretty clean considering how old it is and that it's semi underground. It has everything you need in a bowling alley: lanes, various sized and weighted balls , Pac - man with giant screen , junk food , the amazing multi colored bowling shoes , insulting friends with embarrassing names for all to see on the screen .Yep, all accounted for! This summer they have a great kid and family discount going on; visit their website. I paid 5 bucks and print out daily tickets for my son to bowl 2 games. Every. Single. Day. Of summer. (Just have to pay for shoe rental) Also, other family members pay a *cheap* one time fee to bowl with the kid (s) who are registered for the summer discount. How can you refuse that? The woman at the counter was professional, courteous, friendly.... in other words, she met all of the criteria one looks for in customer service. Lanes are polished and didn't see any issues with them. The maintenance guys fixed lane issues when my friend got his balls stuck. The one thing I really don't like here is that they have broken balls out. Alot of kids play here, and if there are visibly cracked balls around, someone is gonna get a bad booboo. Just get rid of them. There's plenty of other age old balls around that aren't dangerous. Overall, great cheap, nearby place to kill time during these long summer days or nights.

After searching for a bowling alley without a crazy wait on a Saturday, our search brought us here. $25 per person special to bowl for 2 hours. Cash ONLY. OKKKKK... They do have an ATM on site if you're into that but we went to the bank (10-15 mins away - Chase). The place is VERYYYYY old-school and hasn't been updated in 20-30 years, no joke. No frills - just come in and bowl. No arcades, no other extra games (therefore, no kids running around like crazy...) They have a bar and a little kitchen where you can get some junk / finger food. $3 for a soda. $10 for frozen mozzarella sticks. Parking both and in front and back but looks more like a construction zone (probably because there seemed to be construction next door.) I appreciated it for what it was - a bowling alley where I bowled a couple of terrible games. I did like how a) it wasn't too crowded at all, and b) it didn't have music blaring in the background.

The guy at the counter gave us shoes and assigned us a lane. I requested bumpers and a ramp for my 2 year old grandson. We started playing but the score wasn't registering. The man came and started it for us -- without my asking for help. The equipment worked and we had fun. I would come back again. They sell socks in a vending machine and had a CASH ONLY sign. The man said no more leagues because they may close and can't promise 36 weeks of games.

Personally think this is a good place to bowl, sing, and do other things like pingpong and pool, but the location is not ideal. Port authority gets really sketchy after dark. Not only do they offer bowling, they also have a full restaurant/bar and arcade! You can seriously spend hours there!! Great time! I reserved a lane for 4 ppl on a Saturday afternoon, with no problems. They even offer a 25% discount when you reserve online; albeit they do charge an online service fee of about $11. But still, in the end, we saved $20. The total bill came to $108 for 4 ppl for 2 hours of bowling (including shoe rentals). We bowled fast, so we were able to squeeze in 3 games!! You're also able to order food via a QR code, and they'll bring the food to your lane. My niece ordered mini mozzarella sticks and devoured it! Two thumbs up! lol Customer service was very friendly and helpful. This was a stress-free experience! ** The only problem was their restrooms. OMG, I don't know what happened but the restrooms were flooded the entire two hours that we were there. We were still able to use the restrooms if we needed to but it was soooo gross. We were standing in an inch of water (I hope it was only water!!). Hopefully this was a one time problem! But all in all, this was a fun afternoon of bowling. The arcade and games looked fun also!
