I have no idea why this place has four stars. I've gone here for an oil change, been told it would be 30 minutes, and 30 minutes later-I was quoted another 30 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes after I had walked in, I saw that my car still had NOT been touched, and I asked for my keys and left. Ridiculous. Where do I start. Let me just go ahead and tell you they broke my 2005 Tacoma and thankfully after $6000 in repairs Toyota let me trade it in for a 2012. I usually go to Toyota and I closely follow the required maintenance in the manual. However I needed a quick oil change before my drive from Austin to Nevada. When I arrived at jiffy lube and was being serviced for my oil change the employee was reading everything step by step that my truck "needed" off a computer screen. I politely insisted no fluids, no filter just a oil change. He gave me a look and kept reading. He left me know choice, but to firmly insist I only would like a oil change and please don't touch the fluids. When I was driving across the Hoover dam the very next day we began to hear a loud grinding/cranking noise coming from our truck echoing all throughout the dam. Unfortunately for safety purposes there is no stopping while passing through the dam. We stopped at a gas station located at the other side of the dam across from the Rose hotel in the middle of the desert. Turns out the rear differential cap fell off and there was oil splatters all over the rear. I texted and emailed photos to the district manager. The has station called someone at the hotel. The hotel plumber was so sweet. He used a tub plug and Teflon tape to hold in synthetic oil. My truck made a cranking sound after that. When we returned to Texas jiffy lube said they were expecting us. They replaced the cap and gave us a refund and filled up the correct oil for the rear differential. They also had no recorded of us ever coming there the day it happened after that. When I arrived at Toyota they said my rear differential was cracked in 3 places and missing a piece. The damage was a total $6000 repair process. I will never go to jiffy lube again. read more

They told me that the rear differential on my FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CAR needed work. I may be a twenty-something female from the 'burbs who has only been a car owner for two years, but even *I* know that's BS. They are really pushy about upsells which made the whole experience annoying and insulting, not to mention the rear diff conversation which has led me to label this place a scam. Incredibly rude staff. When I caught Josh in a blatant lie I was told I was welcome to take my car somewhere else. I sat down to continue to wait and he then proceeded to try to pick a fight with me. I said look, I'm just sitting here waiting, minding my own business, why are you trying to continue this argument? He rolled his eyes, sighed loudly and said "people, I swear" aloud in the waiting room right in front of me and everyone else. I have never yelped about anything other then restaurants, but when you experience exceptional service it is important to tell the world! Last week I took my car into the WIlliam Cannon Jiffy Lube. From the moment I pulled up the employees greeted me with smiles and were overall just a pleasure to be around! It was a Friday at 5:30pm and they had my oil changed in 15 minutes and as I left at least 4 employees wished me a great day! It is refreshing to see old fashion service with a smile in these times! We received less than welcome customer service at the jiffy lube up the street from this location (@manchaca & slaughter). It was a busy day at that location, so we decided to go up the street to this location and I'll be back here from now on. Upon parking the car, Drea found out what oil our car used and what all we wanted done and told us that we could leave and come back in an hour. This made our experience amazing. There is a LIST of things Jiffy Lube has on the receipt I was given, that indicates WHAT EXACTLY was checked on my vehicle. You know all those extra frills they claim to do - check your tire pressure, check the battery, and all the other fulids on the vehicle. As I was checking out, I asked the customer Rep -" Are you sure the transmission oil was checked?" As I had just noticed it was very low (and had come from Kwik Kar on my last oil change where they had supposedly checked it and if they had really checked it- it wouldnt be low). It was dangerously low. Response, " Well, I didnt check it myself, so let me go ask". He came back, saying that they were checking it now. I asked about the tires - as I was about to go on a long road trip and again, the same response that he had not personally checked them, so let's go ask. Obviously, the response was a no again, as the other employee was now checking each tire for correct pressure. I went through several more items on the list that Jiffy Lube indicated they had performed and each time... each item was then performed, NOW that I had asked for it to be. After I felt more confident that Jiffy Lube had indeed performed the checks they were claiming to on my receipt, I went to my vehicle- only to find a the same dirty mats that Jiffy lube had indicated that they had vacumned. I asked for the vehicle to be vacumned and told the manager how unhappy I was with the service. Now that oil change prices have gone up to $60, I expect for each and every item on the list to be checked, the first time, with out me having to ASK. I used to pay $20 for an oil change and now all of these supposed "frills" have been added, like you really are doing something extra- going above and beyond to check out my vehicle and yet they are not. More time was spent on trying to get me to purchase additional work on my vehicle and paying $25 for an air filter that I can go and purchase myself at the Auto Zone for $10. No thanks. i will not be returning. read more

I had been getting my oil changed at Jiffy Lube for the past year and also taken advantage of their fluid top-offs prior to long road trips. They've always been pleasant and quick. They do offer a transmission flush every time I go, even though my car has to have this done by the dealer, no biggie. Also, this location offers a free car wash at a neighboring business with every oil change. My negative experience was on my last visit. It wasn't until a few weeks later when I decided to check my fluids that I noticed my oil dipstick handle was broken off. I had to use pliers to pull it out of the tube. I hadn't done this, no one mentioned it to me at Jiffy Lube. I assume they closed the lid on it. No big deal...it's like a $8 part. However...with my car they discontinued that part and you have to replace the tubing and o-ring with a new dipstick. Cost ~$38 with shipping. I know things happen, it could of broke off while I was driving, but they were the last to touch it and I feel like they would of mentioned if it was degraded bad enough to break off. My other experiences with them have been great. However, I did decide to start changing the oil myself. read more

went back bc i got a free oil change after i complained about them online..they were really nice and everything, but then 2 days later i notice my car is leaking oil..just brought it back up there this morning..was told that they didnt wash the old oil off so it was leaking the old oil..i told my boyfriend what they told me and he said that is BS..he said they are basically lying to me..so i hope they tightened something down to fix the leak..im going to keep my eye out on the oil to see if its still leaking or not..if it is leaking, then they def messed something up because i had no oil leaks before...maybe i shouldnt have taken it back there..but had no money, needed a oil change..didnt think they would mess shit up again...grrrr read more

I was going to do a drain and fill on my radiator, but after realizing I was not equipped for that, I called the Jiffy Lube at 1111 William Cannon, since it is closest to me. It was Sunday, and I was the only one there. They did ask if that was all I wanted to do today (due for oil change, according to my sticker, but I always run a little longer between changes) I said it's all I can do, no pressure about any extra services. I am a woman-many times I have been pressured other places being told something HAD to be done. Not here! In and out, really fast! As I was leaving, I noticed I needed to air my tires, the warning light had come on earlier. I asked them if they had air there. They replied YES very enthusiastically, and I backed up and they filled my tires. Light off, I was on the road in no time at all! Y'all ROCK! :) read more

My husband and I bring all of our cars here and have for sheesh 3-4yrs? Sure the prices are higher than some places and they do try to talk us into extras (that's their job) but my husband knows his way around cars espec. ours so he tells them no plain and simple. We've always had great service at this location though. The only thing I can say is know your cars and get a backbone people. Best Jiffy Lube location I've ever been to! Just went in for a standard oil change and I was prepared for the usual beat down by the automotive industry's up-saling. I was met with the most professional and respectful experience I've ever had trying to get an oil change instead. The manager asked what I wanted, I said regular-grade oil, he said okay. He informed me about other things that were coming up for my car, but didn't bully me to get them done right then, or even to go to Jiffy Lube when I did need them. He just gave me facts, let me know the time it would be done (super fast service!), and the price up front. I went for them to top off my fluids before I took off for my road trip to Chicago. On the way home, my car started smoking. OMG, that scared me! It turns out that they did not replace the dip stick right and oil was coming out and spewing all over my engine. $20 of new oil and funnel later my car was ok. I got home and I called them to let them know what happened and the manager was super rude! He basically asked me what I wanted. So I told him that I at least wanted a refund for all the oil I put in my car and clean off my engine. He told me that he would have to call his manager who would have to call his director and asked me to call him back in an hour. Are you serious? You have already inconvenienced me and you want me to call you back? And you are acting like this is a huge inconvenience to you? Whatever! I never called back and I will never go back if this is how they handle their mistakes! read more

While this is not a review on a most recent occasion (although it is safe to say I have never returned to a Jiffy Lube since,) I feel that coming back to post this will hopefully help people make the same decision. Point in case, this entire chain needs to be closed. I brought my 2006 Celica GT for a simple oil change, and while I didn't have any qualms with the wait time, I cannot believe what happened when I came back to pick up my vehicle. When I got in and started the ignition, it sputtered and died. Tried to start it again, and got it going. Pulled out of the lot, only for the car to die on me in the middle of William Cannon (going 40mph, mind you.) Got it started again, only for it to die before even getting to a stoplight. By now I'm thinking "oh hell no." Managed to turn around and get it back to Jiffy Lube, only to be told "oh yeah it was doing that when you brought it in." I stared at him dumbfounded, and god I wish I had taken his name down. He was trying to tell me, my 2006 Celica with less than 50,000 miles on it (yes, can you believe it? This car was very well treated) was suddenly dying in the middle of driving it (on a full tank)... and I wasn't informed of this upon pick-up? I made him open the hood and sure enough, his techs had left the battery connector loose. Suddenly his blatant lie to my face about my car "already having a problem" was thrown out the window and a brief apology was given before he left. Their negligence could have seriously put me in a car wreck, had traffic not been unusually light at that moment. To this day I cannot believe he had the gall.. read more

I do not know where to begin to be quite honest with you because when you are dealing with a very honest person, that makes the world go round. I came in to Jiffy Lube for an oil change hoping I can make it on time before they close. I showed up and Von the service guy was probably the best customer service employee I've had in the last 15 years of my driving experience. I am female and when I do not bring my significant other with me a lot of times the guys at these mechanical shops will try to pull a fast one on you because they think stereotypically that every woman is stupid and naive. Well I had to go in by myself and because it was after work, Von not only was he quite honest with me about the things I needed but he did not try to take my money he actually tried to save me money. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone! This is coming from a female who's had bad experiences going into shops or mechanics trying to pull the wool over you. This is the part that sucks and they will do it so be careful out there but if you need an oil change or balancing of your tires go to Jiffy Lube but only this location!! read more
