I have been dreading to get an oil change ever since the light came on and usually a few hours are cut out of my weekend when I have to do this, but Vanessa, Hunter and Kristie had me in and out within 30 minutes. Seriously outstanding customer service. I went in just to get an oil change and my tires rotated before a road trip. The guys here discovered that one of my lug nuts was stripped and let me know that my drum brakes were so worn out, it wouldn't have been safe for me to take that trip. Other service stations might've taken my money and missed or ignored the other problems, but I feel really lucky that I chose this location and potentially avoided an accident. When I left and panicked cuz I smelled something chemically, Josh even met me down the street to check it out and confirm that the smell was normal and temporary due to the oil change. Came here for an oil change. Quick service and they gave me all my options while explaining each one. I drive a lot so it was nice to know what oils work better for that rather then just being told a total for an oil change. The only reason I stopped here was because I needed to leave town quickly, due to an ill relative, and was already over-due for an oil change. Toyota had a three hour wait and I needed to go ASAP. This place had a vehicle in each bay and no one waiting line so I figured I would be finished quickly. The guy told me it would be 15 - 20 before they got my car in there. It took over an hour. Then they called me up there to ask me what oil I wanted and I told him the conventional oil. According to their sign that's what I needed. However he goes on and on about how I should get the synthetic. I don't know anything about cars, I'm in a hurry and I just want him to leave me alone, so when he offers me $10 off for having to wait I just say "whatever" since with the $10 off that's what the conventional oil costs. Of course after I talk to my husband, it turns out I didn't need the synthetic oil and I was pretty much taken advantage of. Oh well, there won't be a next time for me at this place, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it. It was over $40 too. For an oil change! read more

Besides the fact that there's hardly any wait here (even on the weekends), the waiting area is clean with comfy chairs and a nice bathroom. Ted, who I believe is the service manager at this location, is probably one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and seems genuinely happy to have your business. There are two other reasons I really love this place: 1) The Heartland Jiffy Lube website (which this location is franchise of) frequently has $10-20 off coupons on their website. 2) This location is next door to a Genie Car Wash and offers a special promotion of a free car wash with an oil change--and that's available in conjunction with the coupon on their website too! So, it's really a fantastic deal. You get a good, fast, and friendly oil change at a price that's hard to beat. Look Yelpers, I hate to review this Jiffy team so highly because I know that means that I'll have to compete with you all for service time the next time I need an oil change or a belt checked. Truth is though, the WM Cannon Jiffy Lube team are the best, of the best. If you are a southie living in 78748 and you go to Groovy Lube or some other terrible shop near us, you shouldn't. Josh is fantastic! I would give more stars if I could. Overall the establishment cares for their customers. Josh is honest, cares about the customer and helps educate them. One of my lights came on this morning and I thought it needed an oil change; however after Josh checked the oil said that I didn't and could come in 1500 miles later. He did my last oil change and in the past at other places they wanted to be dishonest about what my car needed. He also checked my tires and filled them up. Wow, After a horrible experience at Groovy Lube on Slaughter (they forgot to add transmission fluid during an oil change and my car had to be towed) I called frantically needing to get my transmission flushed. The man on the phone...an older gentleman...was kind and downright fatherly and said come on in and we will take care of you. He just sounded like he cared. I was already impressed before I stepped foot in the place. There were about three cars in front of mine but they took the time to explain what they were going to do as well as drive my car around a bit to see if it was acting like I described! I can't help but say great things about them. I even got 10 dollars off. (which I'm sure they offer everyone but it was a nice touch) After they were done... I had both managers come out to my car and thank me for coming by and ask me to come back. THAT IS WHAT I CALL SERVICE. I will use this location again for my next oil change. Well at that place Ted and his team are trustworthy, they explain you what they'll do to your car (if needed) and might suggest you to change some pieces if it's time to do it. You go there and the final price is always reasonnable. It's more than a Juffy Lubes to me, it's a place where you go without feeling worried, Ted is really a honest guy! ZERO STARS. I brought my BRAND NEW Ford Escape here for an oil change in the middle of December. A month later, my engine oil light and check engine lights both come on. I take it to another mechanic to get it checked out. Turns out when they changed my oil, they did not screw something back on that had been causing my oil to leak out, so my engine had been running with low oil. The mechanic who discovered it, took a picture, and sent me back to show the mistake to Jiffy Lube. I go show them and they offer me no refund or assistance. I ask them to run diagnostics because my check engine light was STILL on and they say the code that popped up was unrelated to the oil mistake. I take it to two other mechanics, spend $100 in getting diagnostics run. Both mechanics tell me that yes indeed, the Jiffy Lube mistake did cause my engine trouble. I take all my receipts and pictures back to them. They finally offer me a refund for my initial oil change and I say no I deserve a reimbursement for all the money I've spent cleaning up this mess. They tell me they will send off my receipts and paperwork to their district office. It's been 3 weeks now. I play phone tag with them, they call me back a few times just to say I should be hearing from someone higher up, which has yet to happen. DO NOT trust this shop. Not only did they do something that could have caused permanent damage to my car, but now they won't clean up their own mess. I am extremely furious and am still awaiting my refund. read more

The panel on the underside had fallen down for the third time. I pulled into this Jiffy Lube. They put in four new clips for free and did not charge me. Their clips have held the panel up. Additionally, I have my oil changed here regularly and they are always helpful and friendly. I recommend them highly. read more

I had my first oil change which costed $24.99 as advertised on their sign at the jiffy lube located at 8602 Brodie Lane 3 months ago and had a GREAT experience. Today I went in for another one this time at this location on william cannon and was expecting to be charged $24.99 b/c that's what I had last time AND they still have a sign advertising that special. The customer service employee asked if I wanted to same oil change as last time and I said yes. They weren't busy at all so they did the work very quickly so that was a positive. However, after I paid and looked at my receipt he charged me $34.99 (plus tax)!!! I asked him why and he said well you said you wanted the same oil change from last time which was the signature oil change and so we did the same thing. He went on to explain the added benefits of getting the Signature oil change vs. the Value oil change. I told him that I didn't look at the reciept carefully at the last location so maybe they did charge me $34.99. I decided not to make a big deal out of it b/c I'll get free refills between each service so it would be worth it b/c my car leaked oil. After I had left, I looked at my receipt from the other location and they charged me $24.99!!! So the guy lied to me!!! Unless his computer was wrong but I highly doubt it b/c what is on my receipt is what should be in the computer!!! If I didn't need free refills I would've driven back there and complained, show them my receipt from the other location, and ask for my $ back!!! Normally I don't like to leave bad reviews but this is the first time I'm doing so b/c I feel that customers should know this. I'll never go back to this location. If you do decide to go to this location and you want the value oil change of $24.99 make sure to ask SPECIFICALLY for that! If this was an honest mistake on their part, they need to be more clear with customers and asking them which oil change do they want and mentioned the cost so we don't feel like we've been cheated!!! I would rather drive a little bit further to the other location b/c I feel that I can trust them - 8602 Brodie Lane. read more

Do NOT use Jiffy Lube. They ruined my engine with a bad service job, and now they are dragging their feet to fix it in spite of being told by a third party investigator that they are at fault. Initially I tried to be understanding, as I know we live in an imperfect world. But the lack of communication, and overall poor customer service has made my patience grow thinner by the day. They also tried to peddle some off brand secondhand engine as the possible replacement. The whole process has been wretched and frustrating, and I have now been without my car for a month! Beware. Jiffy Lube has a reputation of charging customers for services not performed and other fraudulent practices https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jiffy_Lube#Controversy. I was hoping based on the Yelp reviews that this location would be different. Instead, I learned a $30 lesson this morning. The shenanigans began when the employee at the desk showed me some light brown film coating my oil cap. He used this as a scare tactic to sell me an engine flush, claiming that my engine would break down if I didn't have the service done. I declined, as the film was relatively transparent, I'm the car's original owner, and am careful about changing the oil on a regular basis. I noticed the person disappear to the garage soon afterward, despite no other cars being there. After some quick Googling I confirmed my suspicions, discovering that Hyundai discourages engine-flushes as they only help in extreme circumstances, and can potentially cause irreversible engine damage. Once my car was "ready" the employee warned me in an I-told-you-so manner, "If you decide to check your oil now, it will still be black because you didn't get the engine-flush." Immediately my BS radar went off. I paid for the oil change and checked the oil in front of the employee - sure enough, it was as black as it was the day prior. I complained about this and the employee repeated that I should've gotten the engine flush, which by then I knew was a boldfaced lie. All of my car-savvy friends agree that I got swindled, and that it's a strong possibility that either the oil this location uses is of extremely low quality, or no work was done at all. read more

Jiffy Lube has the most negligent and incompetent employees who refuse to take any responsibility for their own actions. My car was completely ruined because of them and they denied my claim and wouldn't rectify the situation. On 11/23/2019, one of the employees said something was "cross threaded" on my car. I told him I didn't know what that meant, and asked if it was something that needed to be fixed. He said no, it was just a cosmetic issue and it didn't affect functionality of anything, so it didn't need to be fixed. I trusted this, because I believed he was a knowledgeable person when it came to cars. On 01/28/2020, I went to Jiffy Lube to get an oil change and as far as I knew, everything went well. No issues mentioned. On 06/22/2020, I went back for another oil change, where the tech asked me repeatedly if I had "gone anywhere else". I told him no, and he said that for some reason, the drain plug was super-glued to the oil pan (as opposed to just being screwed in). He again kept asking me if I went somewhere else and insisted some other company/person must have done that. I, again, told him that no, I had not taken my car to be serviced anywhere else and nobody else had touched my car. Finally he said they would fix it, and told me to come back the next day and they would order a new drain plug and put it in the car. So, the next day I come back and everything's "fixed" as far as I know. Now, about a week and a half ago, my car breaks down on the side of the road. The oil light came on and the "red triangle of death" light came on. I checked the oil and there was absolutely no oil in the car whatsoever. I had to get the car towed to a mechanic and the mechanic also confirmed there was no oil at all, all of it had leaked out. They said that when they looked at the oil pan and drain plug area, the drain plug was covered in silicone and tamper seal. They also said there's no way that drain plug was new because it was so damaged. Jiffy Lube never fixed the drain plug, all they did was put silicone and tamper seal on it. The mechanic said it was the worst hack job he's ever seen. I know nothing about cars and even I know that silicone is not a good sealant for a CAR. So first, they messed up the drain plug by putting superglue on it, then refused to acknowledge that they were the ones that did it, then "fixed" it AKA completely lied to me about fixing it. The engine is completely ruined and needs to be replaced, along with some other parts which totals to thousands of dollars. I have to buy a new car because the car is damaged beyond what it's worth. I contacted Jiffy Lube corporate last week and requested that they either pay for the repair costs of the car or pay me the value of the car (same year, make and model) because I would not be in this situation in the first place if they had done what they were supposed to do and they said they sent the case to the individual franchise owner and they would look into it. The franchise owner called me and never asked me any questions, just blamed me for "not looking on the invoice". He told me that they wrote on the invoice that 1 quart of oil was missing and I should have known that there was a leak. Why would I look for problems on the invoice when verbally they told me "Okay you're all good to go, everything's good"?? If it's something as important as a lot of oil missing from the car, that it something that should be told to me VERBALLY or at least say "Hey, we wrote some stuff on the invoice, you should take a look at it". That was extremely negligent of them to not verbally mention to me and make sure that I KNEW. It seems like they just wanted to save themselves legally by being able to say "oh we wrote it on the invoice" and didn't actually care what happened to me or my car. He also said that because they told me that something was cross-threaded, I should have known it needed to be fixed. WHY would I know I needed to get something fixed if I asked the guy does it need to be fixed and he said no, it's a cosmetic issue. I trusted the guy who supposedly knows about cars. The franchise owner told me last week that he was sending my case to the claims department and they would get back to me within a few days. They didn't get back to me so I had to call them this morning and the lady on the phone told me "Oh well the claim's been denied so they won't contact you back in that case". They refuse to even call me back now or rectify what they did in any way. read more

DO NOT COME HERE My dad always made me change my own oil so I'm perfectly capable of doing it but being on the more lazy side I started visiting this jiffy lube because they have the best ratings. My dad told me to never go to jiffy lube but of course I didn't listen with the low prices an convenience how could I resist! The first time everything was great so I thought. The next time I go they tell me the stick from my transmission fluid is missing and I literally hadn't even opened my hood since I had been there last. The guy was cute so whatever I don't think anything of it 1 thing could have been a coincidence no big deal. A few days later after my second visit I'm hearing this scraping sound and I'm thinking wtf I just had my brakes done not even 2 weeks ago what could possibly be going on. I set an appointment with my mechanic the next day. The next morning the scraping is so loud I have to pull over on my way to work and I look an what do you know! It's the sheet of metal from the bottom of my car scraping against the pavement. I had to pay my mechanic to come and jack it up an remove it completely because these idiots couldn't even put it back on right. Literally just a few screws. I couldn't even tell my dad because he would cuss me tf out an get on my ass. Moral of the story tho is listen to your dad and DONT COME HERE they are lazy an do a half ass job. I took my car in for a simple oil change, the second time I have done so at this location, and after receiving my service drove less than 5 miles to DSW in sunset valley. When I got out of my car, there was a strong smell of burning plastic. I was in the store less then 10 minutes before I was notified that me car was on fire in the parking lot. After the fire was put out by the fire department I drove back to the Jiffy Lube and showed the manager a picture what was left of my car. He reassured me that "Jiffy Lube would do everything in it's power to make this right". I have yet to hear anything from any representative from this company. Now I have to assume the responsibility of a car payment for the next 6 years, as my car had just been paid off 7 months prior to this event. About a week after getting my oil changed here my skid plate nearly came off while driving through town. It started dragging on the ground from the one screw they left on it! If I was more religious, I probably would have heard all the prayers they said hoping it would stay on until they could get my money again next time! After this happened I remembered the technician hesitantly telling me that "some screws got lost" between that day and "the last time you were here." I know for a fact he said this to deflect any responsibility from his team losing the screws. It's funny how that happens when all you have to do is remove the screws and put them back where they belong. I do it all the time on my own and I don't over charge myself for sub par oil; and in this case, extremely disappointing service! The only reason I have to suffer with going to a place like this is because I know my apartment complex wouldn't appreciate me changing my oil in the parking lot...it's called being courteous, and it's something jiffy lube could definitely take a note on! Needless to say, I will never go back to this location, nor will I ever trust another location with the simple task of changing my oil and putting the screws back where they belong!!! I shutter to think how much worse this could have been, or how many other corners they cut doing other types of services on other cars. After looking at the plate I also noticed they had tried to pry off a piece to access the oil filter, but it obviously didn't come off, and now what used to be flat is now bent and no longer covering the opening - potentially rendering the purpose of the plate useless! Thanks so much for the awful experience, jiffy lube on William cannon! I guess I should have known this could happen when I saw the water fountain in your lobby that was overflowing so much that a large puddle of water was collecting by the electrical outlet. But who am I to tell you how to cut corners in your own shop... 04/18/16: After I originally posted this, my girlfriend and I both received automated messages from jiffy lube offering to make the situation better. They asked for more information on the issue and for contact information....here we are about two weeks later and still no resolution to this issue!! Even their customer service is bad. I had a feeling that there was sincerity in this gesture, but looks like they can't even follow through with their unsatisfied and poorly treated customers. Do yourself a favor: get on YouTube and watch how to change your own oil. Very easy, costs less, and it'll be done right!
