The folks were friendly but they come up on the vehicle inspection site, and they state they do not do vehicle inspections. They charged me $100 for an oil-change that I swear would cost about $40 anywhere else. I have a feeling because it's Westlake/Rollingwood I was paying the "area" tax. They promised the vehicle within 30 min and that happened. It was clean when I received it back, but there are a plethora of choices out there so I won't be back. read more

This place is awful. Badly organized, unnecessarily expensive, and not customer friendly at all. Not only did I get some attitude from the employee, but also the guy next to me ended up leaving because the guy working wouldn't check him in. Usually at other places, you can check in, leave, and come back when it's ready. Apparently not here... they also don't take appointments, which is a sucker. They tried though. They did vacuum the floor of the driver and passenger, but not the backseat? Thanks, I guess Lastly, regular oil changes are usually around $18-$25. This place is $45 and then $32 after the coupon. Worst service I have ever received. I went in for a routine oil change and was told my air filter needed to be changed. I agreed and in 10 minutes my car was ready to go. Within the hour my check engine light came on and I returned to Jiffy Lube to make sure nothing happened during the oil change. Turns out the air intake hose had been messed up during the air filter change - but they offered to replace it for free saying the part would be there in 5 days. Sounded good. It wasn't. 5 days later I called to see if the part was in - and was told it would be there in 5 more days. 5 days after that I call in, and am told it will be there the following Monday. I go in the following Monday and am told that the Manager had picked up the part, but had to leave town suddenly and accidentally took the part with him. But he should be back in two more days. Call back in two more days, Manager says they need my vin number to order the part. .... Which means the last four things they told me were all lies. I call in to corporate and complain, get a call the next day saying they miraculously were able to get my vin number and get my part in. Dealing with slow service is one thing, but dealing with a business that outright lies to you is another. I will never go here again nor do I recommend anyone else does. read more

Signature Service - HAH. I went in specifically asking just for an oil change...nothing else. Then the upselling begins. "Sir can I have you step to this terminal and go over the service?" Knowing that I had already topped off the wiper fluid and adjusted my air pressure the day before, I still agreed to all the other fluids in what I expected was the cost on the screen. Of course I'll get $10 off he says. So they show me a screen for $70 and with $10 off I'm expecting with tax somewhere about $66.. Oh no sir, there is $30 for the signature service. Hmmm...that service did not do anything. I asked them to recheck the tire pressure because it needed to be at 31/34 F/R. After two tries they still neglected doing it right. They washed the windows...well except for the handprint that was left on one. I really do hope the other fluids were topped off...I guess I'll go check to make sure. Don't waste your time. Drive a bit further or find a local service station that actually values customers instead of treating them like ATMs. BOOOOOOOO Jiffy Lube. read more

I took my car here on my lunch break. It is not my usual place but I was behind on getting my oil changed and needed it done quickly so I chose this location because it is near my office. Positives - My car was being worked on within 5 minutes, they changed my oil quickly and I did not have any future problems. Negatives - they try to up-sell everything!!! Even with a 15% off coupon it was still the most expensive oil change I have ever gotten. and....THEY SCRATCHED MY PAINT AND DENIED IT! One of their free services is a window wash, which I didn't really need since I had washed my car 2 days before. They used a rag on a buffing tool and there were small circular scratches on the right side of my back window, and on my trunk (just below the back window). When I went back (less than an hour after I left) they denied everything, saying the paint damage was already there. It wasn't, I know every (ok, all 2) blemish on my car and it definitely was not there before. How can I be so sure? Because I had opened and shut my trunk earlier that morning! I will not be returning, a 10 minute oil change is convenient but I would rather wait 30 minutes and not get new damage to my vehicle. Thumbs down! read more

I find this shop to be relatively fast and convenient. Although they will try to sell you every service available, I usually keep it to a standard oil change and get out in no time flat. While they may not be the cheapest, they are fast and more convenient than most other shops I've been to (e.g. Lamb's, Goodyear, Newberry Automotive). This shop also gets props for redoing my rear differential service when another shop noticed the fluid was still quite dirty only 1,500 miles after the service. I called Adam and was told no problem if I brought it in. No cost, no quarrel. Out of there in 5 minutes! Go early on week days to get the early bird discount. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the service I received here. I have had my oil changed at other locations and had no complaints. I received a coupon via email for a $19.95 oil change at this location, so I decided to give them a shot. When I got there I showed the guy my coupon and he told me to hold onto to it until they finished. They finished. I gave him the coupon. He said he had never seen that particular coupon. I ended up paying $45 for an oil change. I typically pay $30 at the other location and that comes with a free car wash. I will not be going back to this location. read more

This is not totally against the employees working at the time they did all the service offered this place has an upper management issue. There were two employees that were very polite and held open doors for customers and myself. But, a couple of others needs some training on the level of their voices when customers are present and the language used. Also, there is so much that does not work at this location. WiFi didn't work, TV did not work, credit card system had issues the printer prints so,light and with blank spots the invoice is hard to read. Unfortunately I was told these have been an issue for a while and just keeps happening. There must be someone that goes from location to locations to check over the business needs? read more

I had my transmission flushed here and had future transmission issues. I took my car to the Jiffy Lube on South Lamar in which they said this location is responsible for filing a claim to fix the issue. I originally brought my car in and they said it was a recalled part. I called the dealership and they said that was not the case. I then called and spoke to Allen (manager), who would not process a claim and hung up when I asked why not and where do we go from here. I called back right after thinking it might have been an accidental hang up, and he acted like he never talked to me and was outside working on cars. The staff is unprofessional and will not be bringing my car back to this Jiffy Lube. read more

Oil change in 10 minutes? Yes, please! I came here after work today and was very impressed with how quickly they looked at my tires (light came on for being low) and do an oil change. I don't know about the rest of you, but in my past the standard was about 45 minutes. I would highly recommend this place to anyone living in the area. read more

Awesome service. Came in for an oil change with a pretty old car that's been sitting for a while. Not only did they also top off the wiper fluid as included in the service, but they must have moved some leaves off the A/C fan because it's running so much quieter now. I would share burning stars if that were an option. Although this happened in October of 2020 at my (then) neighborhood JL on Bee Cave, I now have learned of their nasty "technique" for dealing with their permanent damages. I was there for an oil change and some nonhuman put Coolant in and it mixed with my oil. They will offer to go to court, but because they're owned by Pennzoil, they will bankrupt you unless you drop out first. Support Local First. read more

I am a dumbass and know nothing about cars, and saw a weird sign on my dashboard and googled it- which meant low tire pressure- and then called up Jiffy Lube and they were so kind(probably knew that I am not experienced at handling car stuff). As a rule of thumb, I stay away from car service chains - local shops generally perform better service - but I gave these guys a chance and I was extremely impressed. Friendly staff, fast service and a comfortably waiting room in case there is a wait. They even vacuumed out my car while the oil was being changed. Now they are a chain, so you do still have to go through the up-sale tactics, but there is no pressure and they're very easy going. On the flip-side of that criticism though, they asked if I wanted to rotate my tires ($20 - fair price) and it turns out I really did need a tire rotation - a win-win. read more

Was told that to change my back differential fluid on a 2003 ford explorer that it would be about $100. UHM, what? Was told by a mechanic friend that it should be around $40 at most, and Jiffy told me my friend didn't know what he is talking about (this friend happens to go to UT for mechanical engineering, after being a mechanic for 15 years... I would trust any vehicle in his hands.) It gets better. So we (boyfriend and myself) politely decline and ask to leave because we would do it ourselves, then was approached by the OTHER assistant manager that they don't have the right equipment, it is not a stock drain. Dafuq!? Have had this car since it was new and nothing has been modified to my knowledge, and it's a damn ford explorer, it's as basic as it gets. Homeboy says it's some special type of drain plug. Other guy who is offering to do it casually says "I was just going to drain it from the front" Allllright... This is the guy who says that my friend doesn't know what he is talking about?? Took it to the chevron down the street, bam, only $40. (And was informed it is the most common type of rear diff drain.) TLDR; jiffy says it will cost an arm and a leg, and then an assistant manager mentions they can't even do it after a declined offer to service it... Go to chevron service station just a few hundred yards east... Dishonesty and ignorance at it's best. read more

This Jiffy Lube ruined my perfectly fine 2004 Camry. I went in for an oil change last month and afterwards started to hear a clicking noise. I took my car to Jiffy Lube and they denied any responsibility for the clicking noise claiming "all we did was change the oil." Well, obviously a terrible mistake occurred when they changed my oil because now, my car engine is completely ruined. I went to Don's Automotive on South First who immediately knew the engine was ruined and asked if I ever let my oil run low. I have never, ever, not once gone more than 3,000 miles without changing my oil. You can see the metal shavings in these pictures that I took at Don's Automotive when they took a look inside the engine. I had to resort to suing this business in small claims court due to Adam (leader at this Jiffy Lube) not being willing to make this situation right. Do not take your car to this establishment. Google - "Jiffy Lube ruined my car" and you will see many posts from people. I am now part of that list. read more
