I've been coming here off and on for years and have always had nothing but great service. Always very friendly professional staff and quick oil changes and inspections. More recently, Joe L. has been very helpful (hope I have correct name, that's the name on my receipt). He made a recommendation regarding my A/C that turned out to not be the right solution. i have had my oil changed for years at jiffy lube and always waited for them to pull my filters and ask if i wanted new ones. that at least told me they were doing the all points check. this time round i was so disappointed in the lack (yes lack) of service. i was the only car in the bay. the guy working the register didn't acknowledge me while i was in the lobby. i saw them vacuum and wiped my windshield and checked my head lights. they didn't check the air in my tires and i asked them about it. the guy at the counter said well i am sure they checked ur tires but let me ask. he went outside to my truck which was now out of the bay and said they look like they are at 35psi. they didn't check my filters and i assumed they checked my fluids. i paid and drove home. two hours later while heading out to dinner i drove up again to the lamar location. one of the techs came out and i said my coolant light came on. he asked me to pull my truck in. the guy from the inside counter came out and asked if i had been in before ! i said i was just there two hours ago. geez. he looked at my windshield and saw a valero employee parking sticker. he said well i figured you took your truck to valero? he made no sense. he opened my hood and shook the coolant container. he filled it and said it was low. i asked why they didn't see that it was low earlier. he just shrugged his shoulders. he said they normally charge for coolant if they see it's low. i said that was fine but clearly they didn't look at anything inside my truck. i am worried that they really even changed the oil and repacked the filter. not going back!!! horrible service. read more

This was the worst experience getting an oil change ever. I went to pull my car in where the guy told me, but he got frustrated with me not being as straight as he wanted so he yelled at me. It was loud in the garage and I misunderstood his next command and he yelled at me again before throwing his hands up in the air and loudly exclaiming for someone else to "help the chick in the Mazda." Once I was passed on to another person, they asked what kind of oil change and I said I wanted the most basic, cheapest kind. By the time the oil change was done and I looked at the total, they had charged me for high mileage and my simple oil change was $85. One of the nicer guys told the asshole behind the counter that had originally yelled at me and quit working on my car to give me a $10 student discount, which he did not do because it "wouldn't let him"... how convenient. I literally wanted to cry because they made me feel so dumb and like a pain. I will NEVER return. As I was watching during my visit they left a hose attached to one mans tire as he was set to drive off and that was a mess. They failed to hand out receipts, and it seemed like other customers were visibly frustrated at their lack of customer service and efficiency. Go literally anywhere else please. They provided me with outstanding service. While driving my wife to Medical Park Tower for surgery, one of my wiper blades blew off of my car in heavy rain on Mopac. I explained my situation and they immediately resolved the problem by locating &!replacing the wiper blades. As a result, I was able to be present for my wife when she came out of surgery. We need more businesses run like this one in Austin. read more

Relatively quick for me but I was the only customer at the time. They really tried to upsell me on things I didn't ask for. Made it clear that I wanted the 24.99 oil change. When the guy was at the register he told me it would be 39.99. Very annoying. He said it was there special to top off all of the other liquids and vacuum. I told him I just wanted an oil change. Bottom line. Be prepared to say no to all I the extras unless you really need them (. In the end i still ended up paying 5 dollars extra because my car apparently needs more oil than others. Something they should have told me before hand. Argh! read more

Went to this jiffy lube today to get my car inspected. The guy doing my inspection told me that my wipers had a tear and needed to be replaced. He said I could get them there for $14 a piece or I could do it myself elsewhere. I clarified that if I didn't get them replaced at that moment would my car fail the inspection he said yes. I said ok then replace them. When I was called to the counter to check out the young man informed me that my car failed the inspection. I was dumb founded. I said for what reason? He said a crack in my windshield failed me. I said then why did the other guy tell me that he'd fail my car if I didn't get my wipers replaced? He said he didn't know and went to find the guy who did my inspection. Needless to say I demanded my old wipers to be put back on my car and told him that he should have never told me that my car would pass by replacing the wipers. I paid my $18 and then the third person I had contact with at this place told me I had 15 days to come back for a reinspection. I will never, ever go back to this or any other jiffy lube again. read more

These guys are great! I have brought my VW Jetta and Jeep Cherokee here countless times for a variety of things including headlight replacement, oil change, check engine light, inspection, and a flat tire. They have been very nice, helpful, and fast every time. They are also informative and will take the time to explain to you what the issue is with your car, or what the possible problems might be. read more

3 hrs later and they just tell me that my oil change is done but they can do my state inspection because our computer just went down..... but you can drive down to are other locations (20 minutes away) to have it done. Get to the 2nd location he said it will be a 45 minutes wait because the guys out to lunch. read more

I will never go back to this place again, the first time I went, when I told the guy that I just wanted a regular oil change, he insisted that I must use the expensive synthetic oil and said that my car "Required" it! I felt I was being taken advantage of because I was a female so I said never mind and proceeded to leave, the next thing I know the manager comes running out explaining that the guy was new and didn't know any better - they did my oil change, also insisting that I needed some new kind of filter, (not the regular oil filter) which I went ahead and bought and I went on my way. So today, I go back for my next oil change due and the manager, the one that told me last time that I didn't have to use the synthetic oil told me my car needed it. He also tried a scare tactic telling me that if I chose the regular oil, he would have to make a note in his system that in case something happened to my car, that Jiffy Lube wouldn't be responsible. He was showing me my services from the last time which also included a tire rotation! No way did they rotate my tires - I think I would have remembered that! Anyway, I feel that this place takes advantage of females and I don't appreciate scare tactics when all I want is a simple service. I promptly told him forget it and left and went right down the street to a Shell place and they were "wonderful"!!! Never again will I step foot into any Jiffy Lube!!!! read more

Busy busy for a Saturday. Only two men working and they had me out quicker than I had to wait lol. I guess he was the assistant manager he apologized and gave me a coupon for being short staffed. Not his fault but they got the job done asap. They didn't push any sale on me either unlike other places I been. I plan on calling corporate. The poor guys working hadn't had a lunch and was already after 3pm. Shame on jiffy lube, there needs to be more employees at this location!!!! read more

It's rather difficult to engender much excitement about a Jiffy Lube. Unlike a restaurant that serves sublime margaritas, or a music venue that is patently first-rate, oil-change shops are among the grungy, yet necessary stations we must frequent every 3-5,000 miles of our lives. This Jiffy Lube is as good as it gets -- hence, the five-star rating. Unlike other oil-change shops, where you risk being lectured by some sanctimonious mechanic on how your vehicle is about to die due to some obscure oversight on your part, this store has excellent customer service. They greet you promptly when you arrive, patiently walk you through your service options, and do their best to get to your vehicle as soon as possible. They also offer reasonable discounts by way of loyalty rewards (half of third oil change or something like that) as well as frequent manager specials. And they have a state inspection station to boot. Beyond everything, I think the excellent customer service makes this the place to go for an oil change. Like getting a root canal, no one really looks forward to an oil change. They know that at this Jiffy. Rather than imprison you in a dank customer holding cell, they do their best to get you back on the road as soon as possible and to make what is typically a unremarkable experience as pleasant as possible. read more

They told me 45 mins and it's now been 2 hours for a tire rotation/ oil change. Nothing "jiffy" about that!

(Please also read the update) Have been there last week for an oil change, have selected high mileage oil and also the guy told me I'm low on coolant and should pay extra $4 for it which I said Ok. I went home without checking anything and the day after that I checked the coolant level and I saw it was below low level!! What?! Then checked the washer fluid, same thing it was below low level while on the invoice it is said it's been added as well as coolant, so I went there and they did what they were supposed to do on my first visit. How I can trust these guys on the oil change they did?! I am seriously considering not going to any jiffy lube anymore. ---------- Update: After writing this review, I was contacted by one of Jiffy lube's manager named Mike Chegwidden. He took care of the issue and refunded my money which is really important for me. At least the great thing about jiffy lube is they have good customer service even though some branches may not be good. Definitely I recommend jiffy lube, but not this branch at all. read more

Went here yesterday for a simple oil change and inspection, but got straight up HUSTLED into buying a $150 transmission service. They were friendly at first, the manager, Joe Lucero Jr., took me outside and asked what oil I would like for the oil change and after I decided, the young blonde guy working on my car chimes in "oh I went ahead and topped off her coolant, it was low" and the manager said "okay we won't charge you for that- do you want us to go ahead and do the transmission service too?" and although I didn't know what he was talking about, it seemed like it was no big deal and possibly even free, like the coolant had been, I replied "sure". I then denied a $95 rear axle service which he showed me on the screen the price of, (hadn't shown me the price of the "transmission service") and I went inside. After some time a different employee inside began asking me what I was getting done because he thought it was taking a while which I responded "just oil change" and he began shaking his head as he reviewed the services I was actually having done according to the register computer and muttering "they've been doing this a lot". He showed me the charge for the transmission service had been $147.99 (this is the correct price) at which point I began panicking and feeling sick to my stomach. He then opened up to me that this service is almost pointless and that these two employees outside servicing my car had "done it" (read: hustled) "to" another woman earlier that day. He then advised me to "ask for discounts". Later while I was waiting alone I cried in the waiting room and the younger technician outside saw me and looked away. Each and every person at this jiffy lube ought to be ashamed of themselves. Throwing away $150 on an ostensibly pointless service when you're struggling financially can be devastating. Although when the manager came in to ring me up he applied something like 15-20% discounts on some services (maybe they do this to feel less guilty about conning people, "oh it's fine we topped off her coolant and gave her 10% off the oil change") and I just tried not to cry and got out of there as quickly as I could after planning on spending no more than $80 for oil change, windshield wiper replacement and inspection, but walked out of there having spent $226. Learned more than one lesson today but most importantly will never be returning to Jiffy Lube stores. Ladies save your money and go somewhere with some quality and integrity. read more

The service was HORRIBLE! First, I want to point out that these guys will tell you that the wait is only 20-30 minutes long, "that you're next", etc. But in reality, you'll have to wait about an 1 1/2 hour (at least) because of random situations: someone was able to be seen before me because she forgot her insurance needed for an inspection, and was allowed to come back and jump in front of everyone! A mechanic took a look at my air filter, but when I left, the air filter made a loud rattling sound, resulting in my having to come back the next day! And yes, wait a very long time. I've wasted too much time to go elsewhere, and I have to allow that same mechanic to repair whatever he did to the filter. But trust, I will NEVER come here again. read more

I just returned from taking may car to get an oil change. My mileage said it was due. The attendant looked at my oil, said it was still clean and was at 60% oil life. There was no reason to change it yet. She also added that it was a little bit low, so Jiffy Lube topped it off at no charge and asked me to return when I did need an oil change. I'll definitely go back. read more

Took my car to this JiffyLube location to get an oil change...noticed an oil puddle on my garage floor a week later. Checked the oil and I was down a quart. My car is fairly new so I knew this issue was probably related to the JiffyLube service. Took my car to another shop near my house and they advised that whoever did my oil change didn't replace the o-ring with the oil filter which needs to be done each time so that resulted in oil leaking heavily. I was fortunate to catch this before the car got too low on oil and caused permanent engine damage. In addition, they put the oil filter cap on so tight it had to be broken off and replaced. ~$180 dollars later my car was properly fixed. I contacted this JiffyLube location the next day, provided them my repair receipt and they agreed to refund my previous oil change cost but advised they had to go "up the chain" for my other expenses. I called the general manager that works at this location "Jr. Sanchez" 30 times to remedy...he said he would call me back on three different occasions but never called back. I finally had to go to the location personally to "address" the issue with him. He then referred me to the district manager's "Luis Martinez" phone number. Luis called me back (first call back from anyone) and got the ball rolling after 10 days of me following up on the issue with the general manager. He said he would submit the proper paperwork and would contact me with a reference number for the refund of my expenses....Well, you can probably guess, he never called me back to provide it so I contacted him 3 days later and he said the check should be mailed that week...no response was received when I inquired about the reference number that was suppose to be given so we'll see if it actually shows up. I have NEVER experienced such a lack of customer service in my life...At best they are incompetent...at worst they are liars. If you damage someone's vehicle you should bend over backwards to follow up with them and rectify the issue and that didn't happen without me pushing HARD. The staff seemed okay and pleasant but this place has piss poor management from top to bottom. Read the other reviews here as proof...you are taking a HUGE risk if you take your vehicle to this location for servicing. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. read more

I bought a Groupon for an oil change and used it at this location. They basically did a bait and switch scam. The Groupon was $25 for an oil change with Rain X window treatment but they charged me full price for both and merely credited the price of the Groupon (it was still valid for another 4 months). I've been in contact with both Groupon and Jiffy Lube's corporate offices over it and the best they've given me is a claim that my little Hyundai Elantra sedan is a 4x4 so there's an extra charge. The car only has front wheel drive and it's disturbing that an auto garage can't seem to tell the difference. I've already set an appointment with someone at the state Attorney General's office to discuss this (they are violating Texas' Deceptive Trade Practices Consumer Protection Act) and am also interested in filing a class action lawsuit if others have had similar experieces with overcharging or bait and switch from this location.
