Came in for an oil change and tire rotation about 1 month ago. While the service started good near the end they advised me that my rear brakes were almost metal on metal. I told them I just did them within the last 2 years and that they shouldn't be bad yet. They showed me the brakes. Hard to tell from where I looked. I Wanted to see if there was any warranty left on anything before proceeding. I was given major attitude when I declined a quote. Fast forward to now I ordered new brakes (on their advice) to install myself and got to taking the old pads off to discover there is still 60% of the pad left... I will not be going back to Jiffy Lube for any kind of service. My company I work for does a lot of work through here as well and will be suggesting a new service place. (Which I was also denied the ability to add my vehicle to the company account... was going to pay for the oil change myself was just hoping for my company's discount) read more

It had been years since I went to this jiffy lube because they didn't secure the drain plug property and I was leaking oil. I just recently went back, and this time I paid for my coolant to be topped off. A few days later I popped the hood to check the fluid levels. The coolant cap was gone and the power steering fluid cap was off sitting on the engine. Finally all the fluid levels were low. So they took the caps offs, never top them off, and closed the hood. Too many things have gone wrong just getting an oil change for me to ever go back. It's too bad because I like the convenience of just driving up even though it's an expensive oil change. read more

On November 4th, my husband brought our 2019 Subaru to Jiffy Lube Bloomington for a routine oil change and differential service. However, after a recent visit to the Subaru dealership for regular maintenance a critical issue was discovered. The front differential gearbox was empty of fluid. The dealership believes the intended differential fluid was mistakenly put into the transmission. This mistake not only resulted in a $10,000 repair estimate for a damaged transmission, but it also posed a serious safety risk. A lack of differential fluid may cause a seizure, which could have led to a serious accident at highway speeds. Despite contacting the Jiffy Lube Bloomington manager 5 times and reaching out to the corporate office, this complaint is not being taken seriously. I have not been given a path for processing my complaint. Instead this serious issue has been brushed off by management. As we wait to hear back from Jiffy Lube, I share this experience to warn current and future Jiffy Lube Bloomington customers about the lack of responsiveness and professionalism we encountered when dealing with a serious safety concern. read more

Jiffy Lube failed to put the oil filter back in correctly & caused my engine to leak oil & seize. When reported they said it took too long to happen so it wasn't them. They also said the mechanic told them it was a gasket. The mechanic told us they told them twice it was the oil filter. Upon going to the bbb website we found that they have multiple complaints saying they have blown engines & do not appear to be taking care of anyone. So unless you have thousands of dollars to put into your car stay away from this less then reputable crap show. Let me get this straight. You refuse to call us back but you want to know when we are available? You are sorry now but not taking responsibility for your failure & just blow it off when initially contacted. All because why? Are you just trying to look good on a poor Yelp review? The quote for a new engine is 10k. There is also our 12 hours round trip to get my son home, gas, & hotel. That will double when we have to go get him & bring him back to Omaha where the car is currently at the shop. If you care at all you will already know who to contact & how as I have called corporate twice & rather then you calling me within 72 hours you told them it wasn't your fault. I live ten miles away, but came here because it's one of the highest rated oil change places in the Twin Cities. My dealer said it would be a week to schedule an appointment. I came at 8am to beat any lines. I got right in. I was asked which oil I preferred, I chose synthetic because it's what's recommended, but felt no pressure to pick the pricey option. They asked about my wipers and cabin air filter, I just said they should be fine and that was it. They told me my engine air filter was fine, no need to replace it yet. I also had them put on my winter tires. They just charged for a rotation. All went very smoothly and I felt zero pressure for any upselling. Will definitely get my changes here instead of the dealer. read more

They are open on Sunday - which is an extra bonus. They didn't update the car computer to reflect the oil change. I was in desperate need of an oil change, but two days before Christmas it was almost impossible to get in anywhere! Every other oil change place in Bloomington was solidly booked out for a week! I was nervous about taking my car to Jiffy Lube because the overall price is slightly higher than other places in Bloomington. However I found some good coupons on their website and decided to see if I could get my car the oil change it so desperately needed! This place is awesome! Not only were they able to offer me an oil change on the spot, but I believe it only took 15 minutes to get my oil changed even with a customer ahead of me. Everyone who worked there was extremely helpful and very nice. They did not try to upsell me on anything or convince me that my car needed extra services. They ran a thorough check of the car and did print out a list of things that did need to be done and I will go back to them because their customer service is amazing! I will be back. This place has honest workers, is quick, has extremely nice knowledgeable people and they even drove my car to the door so that I didn't have to walk outside in the cold December air. I was in dire need of an oil change and called five businesses that were booked 1-2 weeks out. This Jiffy Lube location said first come, first serve. Me and kiddos drove there (about 10 minutes away) and I was expecting at LEAST a 1-2 hour wait. For them to change my oil, a filter, and vacuum the entire #superhotminivan took about 25 minutes. I asked if I should rotate my tires and Scott didn't hesitate to tell me I actually need new tires so that would be a waste of my money. I've never been to a Jiffy Lube, but the day I rolled up to get an oil change I was impressed. As soon as I pulled in, employees scattered to tend to my car. I was greeted, directed where to wait, and asked if I would like to try to the, uh, fancier (more expensive) oil. I said no and wasn't hounded about why I should. Thank god. What's this? Someone is vacuuming out my car? I didn't ask for that, is it complimentary? The nice manager behind the counter assured me it comes with the service. That, and a nice wipe down of all my windows, inside and out! Nice. I was asked if I needed any new windsheild wipers. Well, yes, but I don't like to pay $35 for it. They charged less than half that, no hidden "installation" fees. Yes, go ahead and change my rear wiper. The nice employee then very quickly went through a check list of fluid levels, tire pressure, and who knows what else, but I like that he did it quickly. It shows that they are commited, go the extra mile, and his speediness acknowledges that I don't want to spend 20 minutes talking about windsheild wiper fluid. Quick, easy, painless. The manager handed me not only a printout of exactly what was done, but cited exactly how long it took ("11 minutes 31 seconds", wow!), coupons for my next visit, and a free car wash code. The question is, will I be back? Awww yeah, and you should go to. I'll tell the world about this awesome service that went above and way beyond my expectations. I usually go to this location for oil changes. Now that my car is out of warranty, I don't really get service done at the dealer. I do when the car is under warranty, because I don't want them to try and weasel out of a warranty repair and blame it on some random shop I went to instead. Now that I'm out of warranty, I'll go somewhere cheaper! So I go to this Jiffy Lube. The pros are, it is 3 blocks from my work and they almost always have some kind of coupon available. There is usually some kind of $5 or $10 off coupon on their website, and if you go in and get the earlybird special you get another $10 off. This makes the price much more reasonable. I hold off on going until I can find a decent coupon for them. The add-ons will get you though! Be careful! Yes, it IS important to change your air filter and cabin filter. BUT, These items are pretty cheap. For my car, they both go for around $15 each on Amazon and they are super easy to install. Just look on YouTube for a how-to video for your particular car. Generally anyone who can put together Ikea furniture can handle changing an air filter. So when Jiffy Lube wants $40-$70 for this service, I just politely say "no thanks" and do it myself. Also, JiffyLube will put a sticker in your car telling you to come back in 3,000 miles or 3 months. Check your owners manual. Many cars these days recommend every 6 months or 5,000 miles. You might be going more often than needed! They've done generally good work. I'm in and out quickly. It's priced pretty well. No complaints. read more

Horrible customer service! After being quoted three different prices for an oil change, I get my truck back and they moved every mirror, the wheel and drivers seat to drive it 30 feet. And to top it off they didn't even bother to write the correct mileage for my next service. Just took a jab and gave me 4,367 miles to next service. WHAT?!?! Can't say it was them for certain but found my running board cover broken this morning as well. Learn from my mistake. Don't EVER go to this place!!! read more

I waited for 5 minutes upon arrival before anybody acknowledged me. The employee came in, said "What do you want?" I said I needed a standard oil change. He said, "Pull your car around." I did. Then I sat back in the lobby and waited for approximately 5 minutes. The same employee came back and asked for my keys, which I gave to them. Then, without saying a word, he went back out, got my car, and drove it into the shop. They began performing an inspection on it. After about 2 minutes, I became uncomfortable because I hadn't been checked in, and nobody was informing me what was happening or why. I walked into the shop and expressed my concerns. The two workers looked at each other, rolled their eyes, and laughed. A different employee told me that this was just the way they did things around there. After I expressed that it wasn't like that at my last visit, they again rolled their eyes and scoffed. I was finally checked in, which went as follows. "High mileage oil?" "No, just the standard please." "34.99 or 24.99?" "24.99 but no vacuuming please." "We don't even do that for the 24.99. You can wait in the lobby." I waited for another 2 minutes or so, at which point he came in, told me my total and took my card. He handed me my card back, and told me the receipt might be a little messed up because the printer wasn't working. The receipt was three streaks of text, completely illegible. It was obvious that the printer was out of ink. Nobody discussed the diagnostics with me, and my check engine light was still on when I drove my car out of the shop on my own. I am absolutely disgusted with the quality of service I received and will never return to this, possibly to any, Jiffy Lube. I later received an email asking me to do a customer satisfaction survey. I filled out the comment section saying why I was so dissatisfied. I checked the box saying I would like somebody to call me back. Three months later, nobody has. read more

Even when they have every stall in use I have never spent more than a half hour waiting for my car to get serviced.
