Only go here if you want to pay for services that are NOT DONE to your vehicle. Tried to charge me $50 for rotating the tires although I was standing by the car when they only put air in the tires. When I questioned the tech he said he was going to do it later. You know, after filling the tires with air like any shop does. Also charged me $60 for replacing the interior air filter, which was not replaced. That is their favorite thievery item among other things. Since it is behind the glove compartment inside the car. I took it in for a synthetic oil change, but I have no way of knowing if they actually put in synthetic oil in my car. So even if you're standing on top of them, they still rob you blind. Do not take your vehicle to this business. I am sure I'm not the only person that they charge for services they do not provide. In fact, it is likely how they make a profit. Took my vehicle to this Jiffy Lube for an oil change; about 30 days later, my low engine oil pressure light came on. Checked the oil dipstick and it was dry as a bone. I had to pour in about 3 quarts of oil to drive it to the mechanic, all of which had spilled out onto the ground because as my mechanic discovered, the oil drain plug had not been tightened, thus causing all of the oil to spill out onto the ground. Hopefully there is no permanent damage to my engine, but I don't know yet. The repairs cost $400 in addition to time and stress. I went back to Jiffy Lube to speak to a manager. Clearly he did not want any of the customers to hear anything I was saying and made me go outside to talk to him. Then, he tried to make me leave OUT THE BACK?!?!? I went back through the front desk/waiting area despite his instructions and he told me to get out! I had to go through HELL getting THEIR MISTAKE fixed, and the he's mad I showed up and told him about it? I wanted to be helpful and inform Jiffy Lube about the situation so they would not make the same mistake again and nobody else would have to go through what I went though. Curtis has 10+ years of experience, the assistant manager, Elder, has 10+ years of experience, and the senior mechanic, Douglas, has 10+ years of experience. In addition to an oil change, they advised I needed to do the following. They also took me to my car to prove their suggestions and then walked me through the repair process. - Engine light warning came on - Gas Cap Warning light came on - CV arm was broken and needed to be replaced - The radiator cracked and needing replacement - Water pump broken and needing replacement - Calipers broken and needing replacement - Rotors and Brake Pads severely needed replacement - Muffler has a large hole, and one of the supporting brackets broke off causing rattling - Differentials fluid flush - Transmission fluid flush - Oil change - light replacements - and more... Never did I feel pressure from the team to do any of the item they recommend unlike like the dealership. I appreciate that!! They showed me exactly where the problems were and how they would fix them. They provided the repair costs upfront. They were able to locate parts that were not on their shelves and had them rushed delivered within an hour. They got my car up and running in two days! On day one, they finished phase one and allowed me to drive home and to return for phase 2 the next day. On day two, they completed the work in record-breaking time!! Their repair price was significantly lower than the dealership!! I had them repair everything! The cost to repair everything on the list was significantly lower than the dealership. I'm talking about thousands less. I couldn't believe their repair costs and the speed at which they repaired my Jeep. Professional service at it's best! Outstanding communication! I had a blown headlight that I needed fixed before it snows. The manager on duty told me that it was too much labor. ‍

This location saw me coming from a mile away. Young, single mom who knows nothing about cars. Came for an oil change and tire rotation. A week later, my car starts VIOLENTLY shaking and braking by itself. I called the shop to inform them and they asked for me to bring it in to check it out. After being there for over 3 hours (for a scheduled appointment), they stated it was my inner tire rod. over $500 for that repair. A week later, same thing happened to my vehicle. I call them stating that my vehicle is still doing the same shaking/braking it was before. They ask me to bring it in AGAIN. Stupid me, brought the car in thinking they would make it right. They stated it is now the OUTER tire rod and that I should have gotten an alignment after their last "repair". They never told me to do that, so they took it to the shop next door to receive an alignment and the replacement of the outer tire rod. This was ANOTHER $500 out of my pocket when I had nothing wrong with my car before my oil change. well, low and behold, a week later the same issue is occurring. I took it into the shop stating I was not paying a dime more and they need to either refund my money or repair my vehicle. After over an our of them inspecting it, they stated a WHEEL WEIGHT came off my wheel and lodged itself in between the brake pad which is where my issues were coming from all this time. I recorded my conversations with these "Managers" and was talked down to and treated like this was my issue and not theirs. HOW ON EARTH did they not see this the many times they "repaired" my vehicle? What's even "funnier" is when I took it to a reputable shop, they stated the brake hose was pinched by a dented clamp and it looks as though they damaged it during my tire rotation that I had done during my oil change. They not only hustled me out of over $1,000 at their shop, but my cost of repairs at the other shop is $1,000 as well. I am SICK to my stomach and if they do not make this right, I will be getting an attorney ASAP. DO NOT GO HERE!! Even for an oil change. read more

I stopped here in need of an oil change. I was happy because I was the first in line when they opened at 8am on a Monday. I was greeted promptly when the store opened and I gave them my keys and sat in the waiting area. Now the waiting area honestly isn't anything great. You have an old coffee maker, magazines, tv, and a unisex toilet. I was asked to come out to the bay to give them additional information. I learned that my air filters needed to replace. Now I know they we're not scamming me because at my last oil change at a different place told me I would be due for new filters on my next visit. I am a repeat customer and have recd good service. However, today I had routine servicing and the mechanic told me my coolant fluid ($100)was very dark and really should be changed. When I was concerned about total cost, he told first told me he could get 20% off. When I said "okay," he changed it to 15%. Later, when they wanted to change the "differential fluid" ($100) and i said we needed to choose the one that needed it the most, the manager said there was nothing wrong with the coolant; that it looked good. The manager then told me he could only give me 10%. Not cool! When I spend almost $400 on a product, I definitely expect honesty. Lying is not a good way to sell and I doubt that I'll return. Deceptive and misleading policies. I went to this Jiffy Lube, not because of the price, because they are more expensive than most places that change oil, but because they tell everyone that they offer free "top off" service in-between oil changes. They make this claim making NO distinction between synthetic and conventional oil. So, when I went to get my oil checked, I was told there would be a topping off charge for synthetic oil. ($8 qt.). I asked why they didn't inform customers of that fact BEFORE or in ADVANCE of buying their oil change... they didn't seem to think that was important. With all the specials being offered for oil changes in Fairfax, I can't see why I would go to Jiffy Lube with this "bait and abandon" policy. PS: They did, reluctantly, top off my oil, after complaining. Not to be repeated again. read more

This was a VERY disappointing experience. I was met with belligerence when I asked the person claiming to be the manager to be careful when removing my oil filter. My change oil light was left on, so I had to return to the store. When I requested that it be reset, the manager said that he was not able to do it as it required an iPad, which he claimed wasn't working, or an OBD meter, which he did not have. Given that neither of these are necessary to reset the change oil dashboard light, I had to use my smartphone to look up the procedure, which was implemented by the person that serviced the car. Why was such an incapable person left in charge, and why was I charged $100 for a VERY poorly executed oil change. This happened at Location # 1250....STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!! read more

Update: 6/9/2014 - The manager saw my review on Yelp and in writing, stated that he would offer me a $20 store credit in "good faith" if I in "good faith" removed my Yelp review....tsk, tsk. tsk! True Yelpers cannot be bought off! And of course I did not share with you that I am a Yelper prior to working on this issue because then I am absolutely certain my experience would not have been the same as others. Hate to admit it but I was once a short - time fan of this location in particular but have never been a fan of Jiffy Lube as a franchise. There are so many other places that can do exactly what they do for a cheaper price. In addition to the fact that I am always in favor of giving a Mom and Pop or small business a chance over large chains. I have had my new car for less than 9 months...I have had to have my light bulbs changed three times and unfortunately discovered that their lovely warranty period is a whopping 3 months?!?!?! As much as car repairs can be, I'd think something more than three months would be acceptable....and if not, then at least very well publicized. I spent over an hour trying to resolve this issue with the manager/owner/some dude. Time is money so at this point, I will suffice it to say they've just lost a customer. read more

What is a checklist for if it is not used? Can't trust a good job was done since they didn't do many of the items they checked off: Wash interior windows (no; we have dogs; we can tell) Fill windshield washer fluid (no; over weekend an entire gallon was used to fill it) Inflate tires to pressure (no; light remained on) Vacuum floors (no) Maintenance light reset (no) I was leaving from work and tired so didn't go back and complain but called. No apology.. If I there is evidence of work not done.. I wonder what was really done. I would never trust this place. read more

Wonderful customer service!!! Came in today as my car was having trouble starting. Curtis(the manager) had about 5 people checking my car to see what was wrong. He let me watch them check it out which made me feel very comfortable! After finding out I needed a new starter one of the employees quickly went to another location to get the part and I received the work at a great price! My car was running great and was clean and vacuumed when I picked it up! It's been a long time since I had been to this shop. I pulled in recently because I needed an oil change and remember the good service all those years ago. This time the service started off with a pleasant greeting when I drove up to the bay and I assume the work was done ok. It's just an oil change. My disappointment started at checkout when I went to the counter to see the manager watching firework videos on his computer with a few other staff distracting the guy checking me out who was more interested in what they were doing. I could get over that since it's just a few minutes out of my day. My real disappointment leading to this review was discovering they changed every adjustment with my seat, took nearly all my change except a few nickels and pennies and washed my windows with dirty water leaving a thick film. I get the guy pulling the car up to or out of the bay may need to adjust the seat forward or back but why raise the seat all the way up and all the way forward, move the lumbar support all the way forward, and fold the headrest all the way forward so my neck was kinked when getting in? I wish I would have said something then but decided no big deal I'll make the adjustments back but on my way home I couldn't help thinking the only reason for doing that was to mess with me. I can also get over taking the change since it was probably less than four dollars but why do that? I was courteous sand respectful with them so I don't get it. Needless to say I'll never go back. read more
