My family has been going to this Jiffy Lube for 19 years. For the first time in all those years, I needed a "top off" of my oil. They told me that it wouldn't be free, as advertised, because of the 3 month, mileage rule of some kind. And then they charged me $6.99 for one quart of oil. I wanted to share my wonderful experience today at this location on Harlem Ave., service center #1160! I've been coming here for oil changes over the last several years with a couple different vehicles and the service is always quick and efficient and the staff is always respectful, friendly and pleasant! Ashley, who works the front desk, has always been a very nice person to deal with over the phone and in person! But, today was extra special because I had my 3 year old son with me and we drove away leaving his balloon behind in the customer waiting area! I was just across the street, at a red light, when one of your employees, Nick Nemeth, ran up to my minivan and knocked on my window to hand me my son's balloon!! What an unexpected surprise! Thank you Nick! Not many people go that extra mile these days for customers, but Nick did! He saved me from probably having to return with a very sad little boy! read more

I gave this Jiffy Lube 3 stars because the last time I went there, I left with a grease stained front carpet on the driver's side. Which is funny because they put a little paper sheet on the floor before they enter in order to avoid this. The guy just decided to take it out before he drove the car out of the service area to me. The steering wheel was sticky from greasy hands, also. I actually wrote an online complaint to Jiffy Lube and they sent me a $10 gift certificate. Great - I can get that out of the Sunday paper. But overall, I don't think I'll return to this center because I just didn't feel comfortable. You know the type of place where you want to ask more questions, but you can tell before say one word what type of response you'll get. The " don't worry about it" type of response. read more

Not sure how many stars to give. Went in for an oil change. Got my car and started driving home. About 6 miles later my oil lamp light came on, which never ever does even when I need an oil change. I was smart enough to pull into my in laws drive way, 2 blocks away from when I heard a noise and saw the light. Called my mechanic and he towed it to his shop. Nothing was done until the manager of this Jiffy Lube came. Well, they put my car on the thing that raises my car and figured out that the people at Jiffy Lube never capped my oil can. They took care of any charges that incured and gave me a free oil change. Never went back for a free oil change, was scared to. But kudos to the manager who drove 20 minutes to my mechanic read more

Excellent service - right down from the gentleman who escorted me from my car to the office to the front desk where Dakota managed billing. As a girl, it is sometimes intimating requesting an oil change. However, the lively crew at Harlem avenue left me completely at ease. I left feeling not only confident in the services provided to me, but also a bit more educated on my car itself. Without hesitation, I would recommend this location for any services needed. Very fast service! This location is by far the best I've been into. Pretty much pulled up, left car and keys in line to be serviced and was led to the waiting area which had coffee, magazines and a program on tv explaining why some of the services are needed. Jiffy lube had all my information in the computer from past visits which made choosing oil and other options much easier. Topping off my fluids was included. I think I paid like 2-5 dollars for one of the fluids but I can't remember. Before paying for the service the bill was explained to me and out the door I went! One happy customer. Five stars is not enough for this Ryan and his crew. Every time go to other locations i normally wait 30- 40 minute and man forget going to the dealership last all day event. This team had us out literally in less than 15 minutes. I was about to tell them i was going next door for something to eat and they said we are almost done......now that is one fast service. ...no overboard upsell just a good crew doing ther job and doing it really well! I had a bad experience with another location and wasn't sure my tires had been checked (since many other things were not done like vacuuming and window washing) so I stopped here to have them looked at. Marco was super helpful and courteous. He checked my tires right away, even though they looked pretty busy, and gave it a quick test around the lot. Giving one star to this questionable establishment is generous. I came in last Monday and asked if they could top off my oil. When I left they verbally told me they had topped it off and checked my tire pressure without any charge. I was happy with the service and went on with my day. However on the way home my oil warning light came on. Assuming the sensor was not reset, I carried on with my week until I was able to find a day that I could revisit. Yesterday night when I came in, I informed the employees of my prior visit and waited patiently for my car to be ready. When an employee named Ashley came back to the counter, she informed me that there was virtually no oil in the engine and that there were no signs of leakage. I reaffirmed that I had been there one week prior, where she condescendingly told me that the oil could be leaking internally. As a teenage girl, I felt the tone of Ashley's comment implied I was not competent enough to know that the chances of the majority of the oil in my engine burning internally (enough to make the sensor go off) before I even got home from my initial trip was HIGHLY unlikely. I responded with surprise by my treatment and when I began to express my bewilderment at her comment, she again in a belittling tone, told me that she was not an engine expert and recommended I take my car to a mechanic. Frustrated, I ended the conversation and told her to give the car as much oil as it needed. At this point I called my dad because as a high school student, I do not own the car. When she returned to the counter, I asked if they had record of my previous top off, which she reluctantly looked up and informed me that they didn't. I, for the third time, explained that I had been there a week prior and was verbally told that they had topped my oil off. At this point, I began to come to the conclusion that the employees did not do as I asked on my first visit. In response I was not even granted the courtesy of an apology or acknowledgment, rather a patronizing "okay..." as if she couldn't even pretend to care that one of her fellow employee's mistake could have caused my engine to cease. My dad was on the phone and was concerned by my treatment and potential damage to the car, as he over heard the entire conversation. Prior to this experience I was very satisfied with the services I received here. I believe I was not considered relevant or important due to my age and the service provided was unprofessional. read more

Since the management changed, I haven't seen better service or more awards then any other jiffy lube! They're fast, efficient, and always on point. My car is a real piece of garbage. I've had it serviced here maybe 7 times? Oil changes, flat tires, headlight replacement, brake inspection, and diagnostic check engine light. Oil change was smooth and fast. I've had two tires replaced here and they gave me options and recommended fairly priced tires. Free JL coffee but there's a D n D across the street and a mom and pop cafe just west with better coffee haha. Staff is friendly and two managers Rose and Nick have always been impressively professional which makes all the difference. read more

I regularly go to this Jiffy Lube for oil changes but this review is for a flat tire I had. I was about 2 blocks away from home and realized I had a very flat tire! I had never had a flat tire before. I slowly drove to Jiffy Lube and as I was turning into the bays, the tire came off of the wheel. I had no idea what to do. They looked at it and informed me that the tire needed to be replaced. I was shocked and asked why it couldn't be repaired and the young man told me that the tire wall had been compromised and if I repaired it and drove on it, it could blow out, especially traveling at high rates of speed. He gave me an estimate of 3 different tires to choose from, one being the same make and model as the other 3 tires on my car. The estimate had the price of one tire for each model he showed me and for 4 tires for each model!? I said I would buy the same make and model tire so that they all matched. He then cautioned me that even though the make and model of the tire was the same as the other tires, I may damage the slip differential because the treads on the old tires were at a 6 and the tread on the new tire was a 10, so to be safe I should really replace all of the tires so that the treads are all the same size and to prevent slip differential damage. I opted to just replace the one tire and call the manufacturer of the car to see if what he was telling me was the truth. Thankfully, a gentleman in the waiting room getting an oil change overheard some of the info. He said something didn't sound right and suggested I have them replace the tire with my spare and take the damaged tire to a tire shop. It never occurred to me to have them put the spare on and they never mentioned my spare!! I quickly cancelled the new tire, had them put on the spare, and took the tire to RAS Tires. They told me that the damaged tire was reparable, and that even if I had to replace the tire, the difference in tread levels would not have damaged the slip differential and did not warrant changing all four tires. I feel like they tried to take advantage of me to the tune of $1182 if I had fallen for all 4 tires and at least $280 for the one tire being replaced. I am so grateful to my fellow customer who alerted me to their inaccurate assessment. Be very careful. At best, the crew is not knowledgable, but in my opinion, it seemed like there was a real effort to upcharge me. Don't let them do anything without making sure their information is accurate. read more

I came to this Jiffy Lube (on my way home from work) after having a fishy experience with another one (next to my job). The woman that took care of me, had me in and out for my oil change. She also gave me a coupon after I told her about my awful experience in the other location. This location officially became my new go-to for oil changes. read more

I'm done with this place. All they do is try to upsale you. Just give me the oil change I ask for and let me go. I doubt that many things are wrong with my car every time I go in there. I have had bad experiences at this Jiffy Lube before but now I am done!! I bought wiper blades and paid $50 for them and they came with a guarantee. That was on December 11th and they are not working good at all. I bring them back and they tell me that they have ice on them and they ruined the rubber. REALLY??? They would not replace them because apparently it is my fault that they have ice on the. Should I bring them in the house every night and put them back on every morning. The cheap ones don't require that much care. This is a complete rip off! If you really have to go to a Jiffy Lube - don't go to this one! read more

Where do I start. Went in for an oil change in June. At the end of August I started to hear a weird sound under my hood. Thank God I was two blocks from home and as I pulled into my driveway the oil light came on. When my car needs an oil change a note pops up on my dashboard that says oil change needed. I have never seen the oil lamp actually come on. So I called Jiffy Lube and told them my problem and they told me to drive my car back to them. Hey just because I'm a woman that doesn't mean I don't know when there's something terribly wrong with my car. I called my insurance company and had my car towed to my mechanic from there we called Jiffy Lube and Rosie the manager told my mechanic not to touch the car until she got there. So when she arrived my mechanic put it on the lift and looked at the oil pan lo and behold they never tightened the screw on the oil pan making oil drip from my car for the past 2 months. Jiffy Lube admitted their faults and I was okay with that as long as there was nothing wrong with my truck's engine which there were not. Rosie was very apologetic and gave me a signature oil change with all filters, air filter oil filter and all other filters to be changed next time I needed to come in. So they did rectify the situation which is a good but now I will be very leary everytime I leave there! read more

I would not recommend this Jiffy lube. I was very disappointed in my visit a couple weeks ago. After they took my truck in to change the oil, the person that works the register came in and asked me when the last time I got my brakes done was. I told him a few months ago. He said to me that he doesn't know who did them, but it looks like they didn't do anything. He said my brake fluid was low and my brake pads were almost metal on metal. Then he changed his story and said they are below 50 percent worn. A mechanic that is a friend of them family did my brakes so I believe I could trust that he did them. Interesting thing is my old rotors were sitting in the bed of my trust. So the jiffy lube employee was trying to convince me that nothing had been done to my brakes...I had brand new rotors on the truck. I took the truck to a completely different brake mechanic and he said that my brake pads are fine and my brake fluid is full. Don't you think if my brakes were almost metal on metal the brake mechanic would want to take my money???!!! I also noticed that every person that was checked out by this cashier was told that their anti-freeze was low and that he could fill it for $4. He also told me mine was low...so was it really in fact low, or was he trying to pocket money? I talked to someone else who took their vehicle to this Jiffy Lube and they said that the cashier told them their brakes needed to be done as well and tried to refer them to a brake specialist. They took their car into their mechanic and he said not only was the brake fluid full, but the brakes did not need to be done. I am miserably disappointed in this happening to me there. I do not trust this place or its employees to be doing what they are doing. I have told as many people as I can to not go to this Jiffy Lube. read more
