This place needs better customer service! So they normally close shop at 6pm and I pull up at 5:15 for a quick oil change and I find 2 employees leaning on a truck while quietly chatting with each other and staring me down. After I politely ask them how much an oil change would be for my particular car they don't even tell me a price, just that they "Don't carry" my car's type of oil. What kind of oil change place doesn't have oil? And what's more, I ask him how long it would've taken to finish the job and he reluctantly glances at his watch and says "Ummm, we close pretty soon." After that point I gave up and walked away. There is awful customer service here and I don't recommend anyone go here unless they happened to treat you nice, which seems like whenever the mood strikes them. read more

I took my car here for a simple oil change, and they ended up telling me I needed a new air filter among a list of other issues fixed. 500 dollars later I find out later that they never even put an air filter in the car. Who knows what else they charged me for and didn't actually do. read more

Haven't written a review in the past few years but I felt after my experience with Uriah that I had to share. I took my boyfriends Dodge Ram in for a much over due oil change. (Where he requested me go) Not only was I promptly greeted by Uriah and immediately directed into the station by other professionals at this location. They went to work and allowed me to stay in the vehicle. Uriah answered many questions that I had mainly about my own vehicles. I myself own 4 other cars and 2 of which are Lexus's. Not only is it an ordeal making appointments and either sitting for 2 hours or getting a rental car. The process takes so much time I tend to put it off. After talking with Uriah, I will be taking all of my cars to him. I was in and out lightening fast! It was completely painless and for me my time is precious because I don't have a lot to spare. First, let me just say I am not one to write reviews but Uriah's costumer service could not go unnoticed. He went above and beyond and made sure my vehicle was perfect before I left. I went in for an oil change and he immediately helped me out and answered any questions. I went when they were quite busy but he took the time to tell me he would be right with me and I didn't feel forgotten. On my way out he noticed my headlight went out and immediately stopped me. He offered to call a different shop to get the proper bulb and have it delivered and installed! I always receive good service here but Uriah will definitely be the reason I keep coming back. Normally I hate going to get any services on my car done because people always try and talk me into stuff I don't want/need but I got to Jiffy Lube, told them I was in a hurry and they changed my oil in under 20 min. Came here to have my tranny oil checked and it was a little low.. Uriah helped me out and topped it off along with my oil. He didn't mind helping at all. My brand new car just hit 5k miles and I brought it by for her first oil change-they informed me that she had synthetic oil and was good for another 2500 miles. This is a remodeled Jiffy Lube location with their service desk for the initial consult, authorization and cash out all occuring on an island inbetween the 6x6 white ceramic tiled work bays in the middle of the unit. The only a/c area is in the customer waiting room. Their speed of service is not as snappy as some locations I've been to, but the mechanics are pleasant to deal with. The local patrons cluster around the service desk and shoot the shit, the TV in the waiting room blares Maury Povich, but you can change it like I did to something more tolerable and they have a cluster of women's magazines to read if you want while you wait. I watched them like a hawk while they serviced my vehicle and they could see me texting on my cellphone. Little did they know I was actually writing this review. No 5 stars for this location because they failed to show me my dirty air filters before they were changed. Mental note: there are multi-national mechanics here but seemingly no Hispanics at least when I went. read more

So disappointed with this company. Employees insisted I needed a new air cabin filter for my Toyota Corolla. Luckily my husband checked their handy work and discovered they had crammed in a Camry filter into my Corolla, which did not fit. They told me they would refund me my 65.80, but never did so. And to make it worse, I was charged a new amount of 27.33 in addition the the 65.80. No one will call me back or deal with this issue. Shame on you Jiffy Lube. They told me that the plug and filter were in correctly and that it appeared that their techs left residual oil on the under carriage pan. I have a brand new dodge charger. I took it in for a routine oil change and was told I needed synthetic oil and it was going to be $111 with my coupon. I asked if there was anything cheaper? I was told yes but really this is what we recommend. I didn't know any different so I paid it!!! When I got home and told my husband how much I was charged he was quite upset. We looked at the owner's manual and the model car that I own doesn't even require synthetic oil. We called the store directly and the story was totally different. I have been going to this specific location of Jiffy Lube for over 7 years because of the excellent professional service by every team member, the speed and thoroughness of the Oil Change and additional services that are included at no charge, such as vacuuming, window cleaning, topping off other fluids, tire pressure check... When I leave this location with my serviced vehicle, I feel safe and secure because I trust in the final service report they provide every time. Although I do not always purchase their additional for Fee services offered such as exchanging transmission fluid I always appreciate their reminders of what the industry standards are for my car's service and when I do purchase the services I know that the cost is comparable to those at a dealer or other service provider. Recently went to El Cajon Jiffy Lube on Magnolia at Bradley for an oil change and brought my own oil/filter. I normally use the Kearny Mesa location who gives me a $15 credit for bringing my own supplies, and only fair...El Cajon location offers a whopping $1 credit and when I asked "Ed" at the counter if that's all they gave his apathetic and un-sympathetic answer was "Yuup.." Need I say more, I won't be using the El Cajon location anymore and if you bring your own oil, you can count on their savings going into their pocket and not yours.. read more

I used to go here for a year or two with very good results. Recently I took my car in only to be treated with disrespect by one of the workers for no apparent reason. I later found where he had spit tobacco juice all over my passenger side doors where he was working. The guy at the desk sort of apoligized and gave me some discount coupons but I go to the Jiffy Lube across town now. Life is too short for such nonsense. Not sure what some of these reviewers are complaining about...I've always had good service here...of course I only do the basic oil change...maybe once in a while I had them change the air filter. They seem very honest...as I don't drive too many miles since i am retired, they often come and tell me i don't "need" to have the oil changed, but they say they will do the other services for me anyway...but usually I go ahead and change the oil too.
