Went to this location on March 1 2023. Next day my car was pumping blue smoke from my exhaust and it was vibrating like it never has before. I opened the hood and there was oil all over my engine. I checked the dipstick and not only was dirty oil on it, one day old mind you, it was severely overfilled and the oil filter looked like it was used before. I took it to The Oil Changers in El Cajon and they confirmed my diagnosis and added that my drain plug was stripped out, it took them quite some time to get it removed. They did a complete oil change again and cleaned my engine and replaced my plug, all for $60.00, literally half what those hacks at jiffy lube charged me. Now my car runs fine, no vibration and no smoke. Jiffy lube ripped me off 100% on every aspect of a simple oil change. read more

I stopped in to jiffy lube today for an AC evacuation and recharge. It was a little busy when I first got there but everybody was real friendly. My technician was David Beyer. I really liked him. I don't know if it was my car or the machine hooked to it that decided this process should take a lot longer than it's supposed to but, David hung in there and I really liked his attitude. I have been going to this location for over 15 years. It has been my go to place and I have always trusted the employees there. This location started going downhill last year. I started noticing steps were being skipped and things were not properly checked. I had also found out that one of their employees had ruined my skid plate to the point we were unable to reattach it. I decided to speak to the supervisor on duty that day regarding my concerns and was reassured these issues have been delt with. So, I continued with the oil change. After returning home I noticed I had a oil leak. I took my car back the following Monday since I had the oil change done on a Saturday. I was advised it's just excess oil and everything was fine. I took them for their word and left. The next day there was still oil clearly dripping, so I took the car back. They took the car in. He had me start the car and did a whole check and I was told there was no leak and the supervisor advised me to go to my auto repair shop to have them check it. So the following day I took it to Firestone where they did another oil change to fix the oil leak. I took in my invoice from Firestone back to Jiffy Lube to ask for a refund since I did take it back to them to fix initially. I was advised that he had to speak with his supervisor first and he would give me a call on Monday. I did not receive a call on Monday so I called on Tuesday and was advised that I would just receive a credit for another oil change and not a refund. I advise the manager that I live paycheck to paycheck and I'm trying to buy Christmas presents for my children. The way I see it, is the credit for the oil change could have been done when I took it in a second time. They should have completed a second oil change to fix the problem. But, what makes me most upset is the fact I was told that it was not leaking and it clearly was. This has now become a "fool once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me situation." I will never return to this location that I have been receiving my oil changes for over 15 years. read more

I went to this Jiffy Lube and pulled in. I admit at a weird angle after five minutes, a gentleman came up even though I was next in line. It took them five minutes to ask what I needed. I said an oil change. He wanted me to straighten out and I understood that so it took me a couple of tries. I suddenly heard these guys y'all have her back up have her back up and I was backing up I told him I've got this I can handle this I'm gonna make this car perfect and then the manager sends over a young man and told me we can't help you today ma'am and I thought it's because they're out of oil or some thing and he said no we're just not serving you today. He said so wasn't me it was him so the manager I found out from the other Jiffy Lube's name is Manny has been sending five cars over to the other Jiffy Lube, I told him I'm not gonna beg for service. I can't believe you're sending me away. I was straightening my car but there's a car behind me and I've got you guys yelling at me so anyways, don't go to the Santee Jiffy Lube and don't promote the manager. And yesterday reminded me of why. super stressed with a lot of unexpected expenses on my pick up, they made my usual maintenance go so smoothly. they even pointed out that the inside of my from tire showing wire pretty badly. So friendly! First time at Jiffy Lube, ever. I was greeted by two friendly staff members. I asked for their cheapest oil change which is, 45$ plus the filter and taxes. I usually pay 30$ at other locations, so I winced at the price. The staff member noticed and offered to add a coupon which would reduce the price by 15$ He just said he would need to check with his GM. The GM came to my car and offered the same deal. He said I would be able to use that coupon for future visits as well. To top it off, they have a very nice sitting lounge with a tv and AC. After taxes, it was still $37.57 BUT the GM wrote me a coupon for $18 off next time to offset the little extra I paid today. I'll come back, this was the friendliest oil change place I've ever been to. read more

I just stopped by to get an oil change. Unfortunately I was told that my drain plug was stripped by whoever last did an oil change on my car. I was informed right away by the staff working on my car and they told me they would work their best to get it fixed for me. Been going there for years, took my new truck in for the last 4 oil changes been the same price up to this month. New staff across the board, jacked price 31.00. Called him out on it started in how he gave full Synthetic oil Vs. the blend I have used. Got upset I even questioned him on it. Asked him to pull up my last transaction's, said we can't do that. The one girl there said she take care of it as he walked off. Still came 107.00 ... be last time to that location, will try Pep Boys for future oil changes. Wow scammers scammers called and went there was quoted 3 different prices with two days of each other ! For the same transmission service first I was quoted by Brandon 265.00 for conventional oil change and tranny flush, I go there 1 hr later waits for 10 mins only to be told they have no conventional oil !!! And that it would be 60 more ... based on that the tranny service was 100.00 they sent me to the 2nd Strret location nope no conventional there either. They quoted 189.00 for tranny service wow !!! I then called this location the next this time I was told no conventional but the oil change would be 235.00 PLUS 289.00 for tranny service !!!!! So the price depends on which MORON you talk to there !!! So it went from 265.00 to 615.00 in TEN Minutes ... talk about inflation !!! Hey guess what Better Business time !!! Oh and Cal Comsumer Affairs !!! STAY AWAY Oh and Angel is the scammer trying to some me for an extra 300.00 bucks !!! You should be ashamed! read more

I think two stars is generous, but one isn't enough. My biggest complaint is that customer service is lacking. Here are examples: When I first pulled in to the parking lot, I sat idling at the entrance to the empty service bays. No one was around to direct me into a specific bay, so I sat in my car in the middle of the driveway. An employee then quickly appeared and seemed to chastise me for not pulling in to a parking spot. *Yeah, buddy, that's why I stayed in my car with it running, because I didn't know where you wanted me to pull in to.* When they got around to writing up my service order, I noticed the mileage they input was incorrect. The service advisor seemed to be in disbelief that he didn't get it correct the first time. He rechecked, and he was off by 50,000 miles. He made me feel like it was my fault for bringing this to his attention and because he got it wrong on the first try. Then he got even less friendly when I refused any of the up sales he was pitching me. I only wanted the basic oil change, and had to reassert that on more than one occasion. The work was done quickly, but was it really done? How would I know if they actually changed the oil (and did all the other Signature Service steps) or not? After the lack of courtesy checking in, I had little faith in their desire not to screw me. I might return simply out of convenience, and hope that a different staff is on duty. read more

As soon as I pulled up I was asked to pull into the garage to get started. The team there was thorough and fast. They also found a small leaks from a heater hose and showed me exactly where it was. The assistant manager Dennis said that Jiffy lube does not provide "vehicle inspection" unless is for Uber or Lyft. I explained to him that is for a "Caredriver" job. I have the sheet that they have to fill out for the inspection. I called about 5 Jiffy Lube within the El Cajon area and every single one of them refused to do the vehicle inspection. HopskipDrive recommended you guys. I called another Jiffy lube on Pkwy and he told me "we have to take off the tires and some other part of the vehicle, rotate the tires etc. I said why?? I just need an inspection. His answer was "we just don't do that...I wouldn't know what to charge you." read more

I went to Jiffy Lube on Thursday the 11th for an oil change. I went to two other places and they didn't have the proper oil filter for my car, but they did. Also, there was a very nice girl there. I don't know her name but she had beautiful red hair and an amazing sailor moon tattoo. She was super nice and made me and my cousin feel so comfortable since typically as girls were always talked down to at auto service centers.
