The crew that worked there today was on point, way better then the ones I have had in the past. They were professional and friendly all the way around. My only complaint is that they did not have an oil filter for my truck so instead of asking if I wanted to proceed, they changed the oil, put the old used filter back on and then asked if it was ok after they had already done it. No discount or anything, it should have been free because now I have to drain it and buy my own filter to do it right. I paid top dollar and got a poor job from Jiffy lube. read more

UPDATE: I would like to thank Jiffy Lube for contacting me about my experience. They have offered me a refund, free oil change, and new chrome tire gauge caps. I am very pleased with their response to this matter and hope that those who provided the awful service to begin with have been told about this and are doing what they need to be better employees. Nobody wants bad service so hopefully they start providing the same type of service they expect wherever they go. Normally I go to the dealer for my oil change but this time around I needed to do it on a Sunday so I decided to go here. Big mistake. They charged $48 for the conventional oil change that comes with window washing and vacuum. They also check air pressure. Well, I'm hoping my oil was changed in the 10 minutes it took them to do it. Not only were my windows still filthy but my chrome Hyundai tire gauge covers weren't put on correctly. One cover wasn't even mine and two others weren't screwed on so I no longer have the pins that keep them in place. I tried calling them n hour after I left which was at 2pm and they had closed early. read more

I was very flustered with these people today. I had a mobile mechanic fix my 1968 VW Bug today. He highly recommended I change my oil and that I should try the Jiffy Lube in my neighborhood. I pull up to the Jiffy Lube and I can see the "Fright" in this young man's face when he saw my old VW. First he said his computers only went back to 1970 (Really, Jiffy Lube? You don't do ANY Classic Cars?) Then he said they didn't have the filter (Doesn't need filter, just the screen cleaned and I told him I didn't need this) The he said he didn't have the right oil and then to really scare me off he said it would be $67!!!! This guy just wanted me to go AWAY!!!! So I did.....To the Valvoline across the street who charged me $50 and I was out in 20 minutes!! The guy at Valvoline didn't even give me a chance to get out of my car when he said " 3 and a half quarts, right?" YES!!! God Bless You!!! As for Jiffy Lube, here is how to change the oil on an old VW Bug (Please pass the Memo around) Step 1: Remove center bolt from oil pan Step 2: Drain Oil Step 3: Replace center bolt on oil pan (important!) What a difference the location makes! These guys on Second St. have got it together. I was greeted when I pulled into the lot. The service manager/leader explained the available services clearly and away they went. I had time for a quick lunch next door and when I got back the mechanic had my dirty air filter in his hand and asked if I wanted to get a new one - nice, valid up-sell. I took my car into the El Cajon Jiffy Lube where John and Matthew helped me out. Honestly the best experience I've ever had getting an oil change. John was very nice and helped me out a lot! They even put on windshield wipers i had just bought since mine were falling apart! I was in and out in 15 minutes. Definitely won't be going to get my oil changed anywhere else. I have been using Jiffy Lube for oil changes sinner they first opened and I have never had the kind of negative experience that I just had. There was no one at all there waiting when I arrived. I could see technicians standing around but none offered to come out until I honked the horn. A presumably disinterested man named Gustavo came up to my car and never greeted me, but instead acted like I was bothering him. I edp kained I would like my oil changed. He acted disgusted and I honestly felt like leaving right then. He did not guide my car in but let another person do that. He was asking me questions and wRiting down the answers but was having so much trouble I offered to write my email address down for him. He looked at me and said " I don't want you to touch my pen" I am not sick, don't look sick, and although I can understand his fear of being infected, the way he expressed it was rude. When it came to filling the oil, I asked him to use a fender protector as he was leaning over the fender witty his gut against the paint. He took the fender protector offf the desk and threw it at the fender of the car. Just a nastty and disgruntled led employee, who apparently the manager was ok with. Had to show the manager the owners manual to prove my claim of the correct amount of oil, and in fairness, he was kind to me. So glad the experience is over and I will never go back.. read more

As I gave the instructions of services needed they service attended responded with " So you want an oil change" He ignored everything I asked costing your establishment $$$ I asked him to check my battery cable he replied back so rude.. Went in for an oil change and left with a stripped oil pan. I personally witnessed the lower bay technician over torque my drain plug. When speaking with the manager, I was blamed and treated very disrespectfully. Ever since then, I have fought hard to get this issue corrected but was treated with 0% cooperation on every level - from store manager to district manager to the BBB. All of their online and over the phone support is self contained so you cannot get anywhere with any complaints. It's a shame this franchise cannot back up their work. The only thing this Jiffy Lube does right is prove the stereotype that they rip you off. Edit to address the business's response: I have already sent an email to that address multiple times and never heard back. After speaking with the corporate office I was informed those emails just get forwarded to the store which was already unwilling to help. It's an endless loop. read more

This used to be my favorite place to get my oil changed. Quick, easy and professional. One day the entire fabulous crew was gone and in their place was a group of scammers that will attempt to upsale whatever you come in for. I was told they "rotate" employees. After 3 years, my car suddenly only uses synthetic oil. What?? And they will begin working on your car before you can even fully check in or sign any paperwork. They are beyond rude and unprofessional, especially the manager. Such a bummer the old people left. Do not waste your time or money with these fools. I'll be returning to my mechanic for oil changes from now on. I'd rather pay a little more than be subjected to these jerks. Gross. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Horrible customer service and follow through. I had an oil change in October, and they reused the oil pan gasket instead of replacing it, so I woke up to a garage floor flooded in oil. I had to take my car to the dealership to have it repaired properly. Robert, the manager, reviewed the video and documentation from the dealership, and agreed to reimburse me for the repairs. I have yet to receive a reimbursement, or hear back from several attempts to contact both the store manager, and corporate. read more

Damn! When is yelp going to allow o stars? This place deserves nothing. Three reasons why they suck... 1) I went here and got some expensive oil change that would have been cheaper to get done at the Honda dealer. 2) They topped off all my fluids but forgot to put the brake fluid cap back on. Or maybe the person who topped my fluids needed one. Anyways, I had to put a plastic bag over my brake fluid thingy cause I was too lazy to get one from the dealership. Although, I finally got one. 3) They "cleaned" my windows with some greasy stuff. Probably a dirty oily rag. The stuff smeared all over my windows and took forever to clean with the windshield wiper fluid. This place sucks! read more
