I have to say I have had the worst experience here. In August 2015, I took my mustang in for an oil change and under the advice of Larry, I changed my serpentine belt. Now fast forward to Feb 2016, my belt starts making Finns sounds and I am assured by the young kid on the phone that it's normal and the belt is new. Well my serpentine belt breaks in the middle of the freeway breaking everything in its way to include AC lines and coolant lines. I go back and talk to Larry, who has no concern in his voice or the fact that he may have installed it wrong and goes on about a story how things break all the time and it's not the shop's fault. He then accuses me of touching the belt, and says t could've been a sharp art in the pulley system. In the work order generated back in August, it states clearly that he inspected the pulley system. All he said he can do for me is change my oil! Dumb ass! That's got nothing to do with the damage. Clearly he has no position to be in charge but yet he is the morning manager or so he says. I call corporate and even leave them a voicemail. Still nothing. I then write to their corporate complaint center online and all I got was an email 2 weeks later and it states that my email has been reviewed. Nothing else and I have been writing this Kristen Tasso of jiffy lube corporate with no reply back. Pretty much if you want your car totaled or if you want to kill a family member that you don't like, send you car to this place. These guys with their knowledge on fixing cars and cheap brands that they sell you at premium price is no different than two monkeys humping a football! Sometimes the service is great and sometimes it is aweful. They left a wrench in the hood of my car that fell off mid driving and scared the crap out of me. Usually when I go, they never seem happy to see you pull up. Like you are an inconvienece to their moment. Also, another time I went a little over the mileage ONCE for an oil change, and the man tried to talk to me like I was a child: "that's not good. You can't do that".... I am a grown woman. A busy woman. And things happen. But otherwise, the other few times I went, they were nice and helpful. read more

So I was in dire need of an oil change. The first place I went to there was an hour wait and I was in a bit of a hurry, so I went across the street to Jiffy Lube... 30 minutes I was in and out. Not only were they extremely nice and helpful. Before getting the oil changed I told them that I thought that I smelled burning oil. Well they found an oil leak and told me all about it, then they checked my air filters and both needed replacing... which was getting somewhat expensive. They gave me both of them at a discount... They topped my fluids, they cleaned my windows, they filled my tires, they even vacuumed out my car! I got to sit in the air conditioned lounge watching Hot Rod (RAD) with one eye and the handsome men working on my car with the other... Overall very pleased. There were so nice, so much better than Wal Mart where you have to fight with them to even fill up your windshield washer fluid!!! read more

So I guess this Sunday was my day to get lubed in the drive through. I'm in a hurry since it's a weekend, and the Jeep needs some lovin'. I go over to Jiffy on 2nd in El Cajon, no line - great, pull up and tell the kid to give it some lovin'... I tell him I want synthetic oil, he points to his sales sheet with a picture of a bottle of Synthetic oil. Yup, that's what I want, just change the oil, don't touch anything else. I go next door for a breakfast burrito, which was excellent. Come back and go to the counter, the girl prints out two pages of paperwork, I laugh about it and comment to my nephew about consuming so much paper for just an oil change. She hands me the paper work and asks me to sign 'here' to acknowledge the final estimate is more than the original. First off the BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) would have great issue with that, second I never got an estimate, thirs I just wanted my freaking oil changed with their overpriced synthetic oil (which I was willing to pay for the convenience.) I ask her 'Huh?, I never got an estimate, I just wanted an oil change!' I then examine the paperwork more closely: $126 total. I was stunned. Are you kidding I said, I just wanted my oil changed, what's with 126 bucks? You got the signature service, we check the level of all the fluid and fill where necessary, and we check the tire pressure and clean the windows and vacuum the carpets. Woopee! Beside the fact that it is a Jeep and inherently dirty, and the windshield still has bugs on it, how exactly did they check the differential fluid I ask her?, it would be impossible for them to do that. She looked puzzled. See, my Jeep has aftermarket differential covers which requires the fluid level be about 10mm below the inspection plug. Did they now overfill my differential? Turns out no thank goodness, but did they even check it? I also was charged about 5 dollars for additional coolant. Thank you so very much for contaminating my environmentally friendly coolant with your ethylene glycol. Oh, and how come if you checked the tire pressure, why is the tire pressure idiot light still on? Perhaps because oversized tires I have set to 4 lbs lower than the computer wants them to be. Long story short, if you want your oil changed in a hurry these people are OK, but ask them first what the final bill will be. In defense of them, I did have a chat with the store manager this morning who reduced my bill to $0.00. That was the wise thing for him to do. read more

I stopped in on a Saturday and got right in. They well well staffed, although half of them were on a smoke break when I pulled in, I was still helped right away. The customer service was good, even though the employees aren't the sharpest tools in the shop. They advised me of my suggested services based on mileage and convinced me I needed a couple new filters. Ended up spending $145, for the oil change, cabin filter and engine filter. read more

I went here with a car that is only about 8 months old. I have always gone to my dealer before for oil changes previously. ( this is only 3rd one on this car). I went here as it was convenient and thought it would be OK by the reviews. First off, the man who helped me was actually very nice at first. Until he tried to tell me my car "NEEDED" the synthetic $100 oil change! NOw my car had about 12000K miles and my dealer sticker on the window said what oil it was. He tried to sell me something I didn't need. Secondly, the prices they advertise and coupons DO NOT APPLY! All of the prices were way higher than advertised!! They are just a bunch of liars with their coupons etc.. I am guessing half of them trying to lie to me was that I was a woman there alone and they thought they could take advantage!! Word to the wise!! DO NOT GO HERE! GO to a reputable place or a dealer! ll dealers have coupons for under $30 for an oil change and they wont try to sell you something you do not need!! read more

The service here was fast and friendly. The only downside is they always try to up sell you on oil and parts. They said that my air filter needed to be replaced( i change it every oil change) but there cost was almost double the price from an auto store. So I passed on it. All the works there were professional. read more

The jiffy lube crew all had a good attitude and worked as an effective team. My only issue was the massive amount of homeless around the place. They were smoking meth and tweaking like right outside the back alley of the place. Next time I will probably go some where else with no tweaker bums. read more

Went here to have a number of services done on my 2010 Nissan Versa, the easiest of which was an oil change. The staff from the service manager to the techs to the service advisor were friendly, professional, and fast. A local auto shop had quoted me a price of nearly $2500.00 and at least one full day to do the same work. I was out of the Jiffy Lube site in 58 minutes (the service advisor had estimated "...about an hour...") and for under $600.00! The work was quality service, and I noticed an immediate improvement in the way my car performed. In short, the folks at this Jiffy Lube location did great work at a great price, and I would recommend them to anyone needing the services they provide. read more

BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS/ did an oil change on my car and stripped the metal and now I can not get an oil change anywhere, until this is fixed. Talked to the store manager who looked up the sticker I was provided at the time of the oil change and the guy tells me my car is not in their system! the mileage matches the fact I need an oil change and it is their sticker that they gave me!!!! I called by bank and confirmed on speaker phone that I was at the Jiffy Lube in El Cajon on the date of the sticker and paid for an oil change. Manager is a complete jerk and refused to address the problem and insisted I needed a receipt and would not take responsibility in any way. Even though Wells Fargo confirmed I was there on that date. I explained clearly the employee (who of course no longer works there) put the sticker on after he ruined my car. I can't explain how or why the sticker does not match but this was clearly done on purpose by the kid who stripped the part to my car contacted Corporate and have not heard back. Happy Oil change discovered the problem, when I had gone there for an oil change. They told me that this will not be cheap to fix. They could not do an oil change and told me to go back to the last person who was Jiffy Oil on 2nd in El Cajon. Technician stated I was the 2nd car in the same day who had their vehicle part stripped by this same location. JIFFY LUBE IN EL CAJON ON 2ND STREET IS THE PITTS ! Got my oil changed and air filter changed on a work truck hassle at the register to pay not leaving me any options to pay for it after i have them plenty. Got it figured out. Then i go to leave and the truck is in limp mode. Had to go back to find out they didn't tighten a air hose back up properly. I've been to this location a couple times and loved the staffs attitude except for Robert. You guys seriously need to check this mans attitude because as soon as i went in for a oil change for my cousin he greeted us with a nasty look and seemed like he tried to rush us out , very poor attitude and i'm never going to this location again. read more

Pulled into this location which is closest to me and the guy immediately had a horrible attitude he kept smacking his teeth like I did something you barley started your shift an hour before I got there no reason to be so angry as he was guiding me in he was getting upset for no reason I asked him to guide me out I wanted nothing to do with any of it he seemed hesitant to let me out and when he did I asked hid name and if course no answer then under his breath told me to have a better day lol coming from the one with a horrible attitude anyways I didn't get his name he was the only one I seen there a bigger guy guarantee if I ever have to go again won't be there and not to mention I had to drive out my way to come to a different location read more

Stopped by the other day for a quick oil change. There was no other cars there, so it took about 20 minutes tops to get my oil changed, and add some air to my tires. Sydney was extremely welcoming and friendly, made the transaction very pleasant. The price was a little higher than Inhad hoped for a standard oil change ($45), but the service and speed made up for it! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. I have taken my work vehicle here a number of times and took my personal car here today too since the shop where I usually go was booked up. The employees I have interacted with are always professional, courteous and hard working. I also haven't experienced them trying to upsell a bunch of stuff I don't need like other oil change places I have frequented in the past. I know Jiffy Lube doesn't have the best reputation, but if you try this location I think you will be pleasantly surprised. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. I usually go to the jiffy on lake Murray but my oil light came on & I needed to go right then. So I go in & let them know my car said LOW OIL PRESSURE. They just said okay. Then Matt serviced my car. NOT ONE TIME did he tell me anything about my car. The only thing he said to me was "do you have any coupons today" him & his other co worker we talkin amongst themselves about their personal life. The General Manager Robert was there when they started servicing my car then left someone where. Did come back from when I was there. After Matt was done servicing my car he handed me my receipt & said "you're good to go" THATS IT. 10 minutes after I leave their shop I hit the free way & MY HEAD GASKET BLEW. After I called triple a, I read my invoice & it said " excessive oil leak, unusual engine noise" NONE OF THAT WAS TOLD TO ME. Completely neglected to tell me. I called them & Robert gets on the phone. I explain what happened & he said "I was there & heard your engine & when I asked why none told me any of the problems I had with my car his response was "we figured you'd know your car" he also said"we're not mechanics" I said correct but you ARE SUPPOSE TO TELL ME IF SOMETHINGS WRONG. So then they drove out to where I broke down on the side of the 52 freeway. WHO DOES THAT?! Robert & Matt came & started recording my car & he said" your head gasket was bound to blow" I told him. Why didn't anyone tell me that, had I have know I would have never driven my car, he said again we're not mechanics. I explained my BFs oil guy didn't even change his oil last time because he said if they did he'd blow a head gasket. Robert's response was "we are suppose to change it regardless" once I filed a claim THEY DENIED IT & COMPLETELY LIED. SAYING THEY TOLD ME EVERYTHING ABOUT MY CAR & THAT I KNEW ABOUT THE HEAD GASKET. I have photos & videos of them on the side of the road with me & Robert SAYING EVERYTHING. CAN SOMEONE FROM CORPORATE PLEASE CONTACT ME BECAUSE NOT ONLY AM I FIGHTING THEIR DENIAL I WILL SUE THIS SPECIFIC LOCATION FOR FABRICATING THEIR STORY & NEGLECTING TO TELL ME THE PROBLEMS ON MY CAR. I drove up this morning with 2 cars in front of me. The employee that was there saw me and started shaking his head and he looked pissed. He walked up to my truck and just starred at me. I said hello and he said what do you need ? An Oil change? I said yes and he shook his head again all pissed off. He Looked at me and said park anywhere I guess with a lot of attitude. I had a really bad experience today. I recently moved to El Cajon and figured I try the Jiffy Lube Service here today. The guy that service me today seemed angry and agitated. He told me that they couldn't find my jiffy lube account so he started a new account for me. I didn't like this because I have an extended history with Jiffy Lube so literally all my historical oil changes are on that account. What really disappointed me was that he didn't even take the time to try and locate the account. He just brushed it off and ignored my concerns. Will not be returning. read more

They took out my old air filter and said I needed a new one. I told them they could replace it. I paid for a new one and they didn't even put the new one in! They were supposed to replace it. I found out like 4 months later when the mechanic replaced my tires. I drove around with no air filter for four months! I called and asked for a refund and they said they'd give me one but failed to do so. So that's why I give them one star. Punks read more

I bought a groupon for an oil change the other day. When I got there they said it would only cover 44$. I was then presented with oil options that cost more than that. I was never told there was a standard oil that could be covered by the groupon. Then I waited a long time for the oil change to be finished. I usually just change my own oil but given some things recently I decided it would be better to have someone else do it. I regret that. I would not do it again. Especially from here. read more

I recently moved from El Cajon, and am sad that this Jiffy Lube won't be servicing my cars anymore. They are fast, friendly, and never pressure you to buy more than what you've asked for.
