The entrance to drive your car into their lot is actually on Lusitania St. (turn right from Punchbowl). I went early in the morning so there was only one person in front of me. Oil changes are first come first serve. I was done in about 20 minutes. Their signature oil change is $41.99 but includes a bunch of additional things like checking your fluid levels, tire pressure, vacuuming and window wiping. Took my car to get the oil changed. While there I noticed that the employees were using the nearby sidewalk there as a parking lot for vehicles. When I asked Tui, the assistant manager, why they used the sidewalk when they had room on their lot he responded very rudely that they would do whatever they want there and that I was being rude by questioning them. This is my second time here but this time I felt I should write review. I got here at 7am sharp as their website states it opens at 7. You wouldn't REALLY expect them to be REALLY open. But this place, As soon as I pulled in, Tui came out and greeted me with a smile. Then Roselyn(not sure the name) checked me in with the same pleasant manner. I remember both of them from last time I was here, and I had the same great experience. They are quick too(about 30 min for oil change and battery replacement). Warning to anyone who used to go to this location and get great service (like we used to). The previous employees were great. There are new employees there now. Made an appointment and went in for a simple oil change and safety inspection. As my wife parked on the side so I could drop off my car, the safety inspector coming out of the bathroom started yelling at her through her passenger window telling her to move her car to the line of cars getting serviced. She tried to explain that it was my car getting serviced but he kept cutting her off and kept yelling for her to get her car in line. I had to walk over and explain the situation to him. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging that he was yelling at her for no reason, he stalked off. Later when I was trying to leave him my paperwork for the safety check, he incorrectly told me that I had to have the "original insurance card" and that a copy and proof of the card on my phone was not good enough. I had to have my insurance company call the manager there to inform the inspector that State law allows copies and that the inspector would have wasted our time to drive back to our home to get the "original" cards to give him. The last straw was, in retaliation, he "failed" my car claiming he could see a "small part of overly worn area of tread on the very inner portion of one tire (even though there was obviously lots of tread everywhere on the tire, all the other tires passed and were put on the vehicle at the and we pointed out to the manager that even she couldn't see where there was "a part of overly worn area of tread" on the tire. The manager apologized but said she did not have the ability to change the inspector's "ruling" and he left for the day. It was clear that he did it as a petty way of acting out because he was scolded by his manager earlier for yelling at customers when he was in the wrong. Frustrated for many reasons the last thing I wanted to do was find an auto mechanic that would do my safety check quickly. A friend recommended this place because it was fast. I immediately was impressed by the friendly smiles and inviting way of the employees. An auto place that's full of positive people who actually treat you like a customer, not just another person looking for a quick car fix. While I sat there in the waiting area with the tv news and fresh brewed coffee, a mechanic brought a guys air filter in, showed it to him and asked if he wanted it replaced - no pressure, just a question not even a push to do it. "this is your filter, would you like us to change it out? It'll cost $30.". Wait time (teacher jargon) the guy looks at it, looks at the mechanic. Silence, then. "yea, ok, change it out." Now it may seem simpe to most people - but I've been to many auto shops in my day, and believe me - the only trustworthy ones are the ones that don't PUSH you to do or make changes on YOUR car! don't tell me how to take care of my "baby!" I waited less than half an hour - the only reason for four instead of five stars was that the waiting room was small & so was the tv (maybe if they get enough business they can get a flat screen) ~ yet in all honesty I didn't even expect that much. I've been to places where I had to stand outside the shop on a busy street and wait, so, it was a step up from that - at the very least. I highly recommend this place - a simple right off the entrance to the Pali/H1 on Punchbowl - cut in, get your car done and get back on the road and continue your travels. read more

Busy location. Came in for an oil change and it was subpar service. I have to admit that although I head to Jiffy Lube for the convenience, in the future I will always make the time to head to my mechanic based on this experience. I asked if the coolant was added and was told yes, but when I checked it was at the same level as when I brought it in. After checking with my mechanic later in the week, I was told that my coolant level was indeed low. Bummer Jiffy Lube and that is why the low star rating. Made me think what else did they forget to do or overlook on my car as it was being serviced. read more

I took my car in for quick oil change last spring because of the convenient location. During the oil change they broke the dipstick and replaced it at no charge. No problems until next oil change/inspection at my usual mechanic a few weeks ago. I was informed that the threads on the oil pan where the plug inserts were stripped from over-torquing during the last oil change. This required a new oil pan to get the car back on the road which required several hundred dollars worth of parts and labor. I called to inform them and figure out a way to make things right. I was told to fax information, but apparently the fax machine is not operational. I wrote a letter outlining my complaints. The site manager did call me back and informed me that the district manager would contact me. It has been several weeks and I have heard nothing. I am not happy. I regularly go to the Punchbowl location. The staff there are always courteous and professional. Today I went for an oil change, battery replacement and safety check. They had the battery in stock and called my attention to the need to replace the terminals. The technician also told me where I could get the part. My light bulb on my right headlight died out on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma, and I needed it changed. Prior to coming to Jiffy Lube I initially went to one of their competitors for assistance, and they quoted me 39.99, which I thought was rather high, also want to mention that I had my own parts with me. I called another shop and was quoted 34.99, and still felt that was rather high, and finally tried one more location and was quoted 30.00. All these shops were the same company just different locations. Since I brought my own parts, the most I was willing to pay was $20 for someone to install it for me. I just happened to be driving into town for work and decided that I was going to try Jiffy Lube on Punchbowl St. I've heard good things about this particular location so I decided to give them a chance. When I got there I pulled up into their service area, and a young man approached me and asked if I needed help. I asked him, how much do you charge to replace the bulb on my headlights, and I also informed him that I have my own parts. He turned to one of the other mechanics, and the other mechanic said, if he has his own parts we'll just do it for free. So I gave him my parts, and they asked me to open my hood, and in about 5 minutes I was good to go. I offered to pay for the service, and they said, "nah no need, just use the money for gas." It was a random act of kindness that I really appreciated. Thank you Jiffy Lube Punchbowl! I will definitely be back for some oil changes and give you guys my business. read more

Drove past this location every day on my way home from work and decided to check it out during my lunch break and really glad I did. My service from start to finish was amazing. Jorden, Clayton, Joseph and Chris not only had the best customer service, but finished my car in 7 minutes. The other locations had me waiting for an hour plus. Been taking my car here for years, so here is why you should go to this and other Jiffy lube. Took my car in for an oil change . Work done like usual, fast friendly. Next day I notice a large oil leak on my driveway. Take it back to the punch bowl location. Jon the manager was great. He explained what happened. evendently they over tongue the drain plug and cracked my oil pan. Ok, accidents happen. Jon immediately took responsibility and tried his best to fix the leak. Unable to. he called his district manager Rick Perry and explained the situation. Mr. Perry called me and assured me that they would repair my oil pan, and also pay for a car rental. WOW! SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THEM I used to go this Jiffy Lube years ago. About 3 years ago I started to notice that they were only concerned with the upsell on filters, lubes and other 'extra's. It started to feel like they weren't spending enough time with my vehicle to perform the services that were needed as well. So I started to go to Lex Brodies. Problem with them is that if you don't have an appointment don't plan on getting in. Anyway, fast forward 3 years. I thought I'd try them again for an oil change. First thing they do is try to upsell me of course, it's what they do. Then they asked me if I want my wipers replaced. I say nah, I just replaced them a couple months ago. (Now at this point I want to tell you that I had just filled up with gas and had cleaned my windshield with my wipers while I was there.) I get the truck back and start driving down the road. I noticed my window had a kind of filmy look on it and I went to wash it. SCREEEECH.... SCREEEEECH... SCREEEECH... the wipers were making some seriously annoying noise. WTF?? Did they put something on my windshield to make me want to replace the blades???????????? I put up with the screeching for about 3 weeks and finally couldn't take it anymore. I used Windex on the window... not much better. I then used mineral spirits to clean it and rinsed with Windex. BOOM - problem solved. No more noise. Of course I didn't see them put anything on my windshield, but pretty damned obvious that they are more concerned with the extra sales. So much so that they are faking your repair needs. I was really worried that they intestinally "created" other issues in my truck too so I went ahead and took it over to Lex Brodies to have everything re-done. read more

My theory is the one way only right turn (or left off the H1) creeps people out so the lines are short here? Then they bust their ass and make the turnaround quick and I can't even finish reading the magazine or paper in my hand in the lobby.
