Needed to get my oil changed, been putting it off forever, so I went to the beretania location in moilili, found out their computers were down and couldn't take payments, so no big deal, I'll just go for a drive ended up at the punch bowl location. Pulled up and they tell me they only have synthetic oil. Aren't you guys jiffy lube?! Your whole reason for existence is to lube vehicles in a jiffybut no. So I was on my way home from an appointment in kapolei. As I neared the middle st. merge, I heard a hissing sound coming from my left front tire. I noticed that it was going flat. I thought I could make it home to Kaimuki, but was not lucky. What I was lucky was I took the Punchbowl exit and pulled to the side of Jiffy Lube. I got out to inspect the damage to my tire, and well it was bad. One of the technicians comes up to me asking if I needed help and I accepted (without hesitation). He asked me to put it in front the shop so we could get my spare on. He helped from getting the spare out from under the rear of my truck, to removing the blown out tire, and replacing with the spare. And could you believe he even torqued the wheel down (very professional). At this point I'm blown away at his "above and beyond" customer service skills. What he may not have noticed was I was in my uniform. I own and operate a automotive mobile repair business. I have also managed one of their competitors Flagship Fastlube in the past. So when it comes to customer service, I know a thing or two. And this braddah had 10 star service. I know a manager of sort will read this. So I hope that this does get back to this employee. Unfortunately I did not get his name. He'll know if you ask him. And the tire? Well it was a 33X12.5R15 mud terrain tire. Not some small tire. Thank you my braddah. Solid work. read more

This location has excellent mechanics/ technicians providing quality service all with a great attitude - consider this a gem location! Pulled up to receive an oil change, but they also checked the lights, washed the main windshield and gave recommendations for some other quick services based on wear and tear. I ended up here by accident on a Saturday morning. I usually go to the location in Iwilei or University. I happened to be in the neighborhood dropping off a friend so I can to this location. It was a simple oil change and tire rotation. It all happened quickly and with no hassle. This is an older location but what do I care. The people greet me warmly and let me know their Covid protocols. I like that since this is not on a high traffic area, I was able to get in and out in a flash. We stopped by on a Saturday to get our oil change and they currently have a drive-thru oil change. It took about 15 min to get our car in the door as we stayed inside the car while Albert, Jasmin, and Wilfredo worked on our car. They cleaned our windshield, filled up our tires, fixed our brake light on the back. They were very friendly and helpful and I'd recommend this particular location because the people are nice and they do great work. I'd recommend coming early on the morning because they do get busy later in the day. Overall, excellent service and will definitely be returning! read more

(May 25, 2021) Had to get my safety check done as it was going to expire at the end of the week and also needed oil change. Called JL on Punchbowl and they were able to accommodate me with an appointment today at 10am. Upon arrival was quickly greeted by friendly JL staff. During my wait the service staff showed me some of the things that needed to be serviced. The safety check and service took around 15 minutes and I was out of there by 10:20am. I don't know if this true or not, but someone told me that Jiffy Lube and the concept of drive thru oil changes was created by an Anesthesiologist. Since I work in a hospital, I pictured him sitting in scrubs and a mask in the operating room thinking to himself..."I need to get my oil chainged...Why is this so hard?...I don't have time for this." I'm sold on the concept and have gone here for years. Plus they do safety checks. Win Win. I must have been to this Punchbowl location zillion times. But I also like the Kalihi King Street location. Location: This location is right out in the open so you can see if they are busy or not. It's right near the hospital too. Store: An ancient gas station converted to a Jiffy Lube. Awkward entrance but it is not hard. The waiting room is nice enough but otherwise it is not polished as newer locations. Service: Now a days you seem to need an appointment for a safety check. Otherwise you can just drive in. Always friendly and competent. Anyway, King Street wasn't answering the phone so I called Punchbowl, got a same day appt. I had scheduled a car inspection, oil change & tire rotation for a Saturday. On Saturday morning they called to tell me that their technician was sick. They offered to schedule another appointment with a nearby Jiffy Lube that day! I was very impressed by that offer so I decided to reschedule my appointment with this Jiffy Lube on Punchbowl to Tuesday. On Tuesday while I was there, a woman drove in with a flat tire which I think was down to the rim, since it made a lot of noise. She didn't know what to do. The staff offered to look at it for her even though that is not a service that they offer. They even offered to call a tow truck for her if they couldn't help her. They certainly went out of their way to help someone in need. I was very impressed. Btw they did a great job with my car. I will definitely recommend them. read more
