I had stopped going here years ago because of so many screwups in the past, but I really needed an emissions test to renew my registration and Take 5's emissions technician wasn't working today, so I gave Jiffy Lube another try. HUGE MISTAKE. I asked for an oil change while they were at it. They sold me on a new battery too. When i checked out, I saw the emissions test hadn't been done, and when I pointed that out they said "oh, we can't do it now because we put in a new battery and reset the computer, you'll have to drive around for at least 100 miles and bring it back." THE MAIN THING I NEEDED, THEY DIDNT DO, and couldn't do, BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO FOCUSED ON UPSELLING me an overpriced battery. I was pulled to the side by an employee after showing my digital insurance card to the colt the manager here before even getting my car pulled into the bay he oked the digital card.... After waiting in the waiting room for an hour.. another employee told me he couldn't except my card. I told him I showed colt my digital card on my phone... the employee stated that Colt said he didn't see anything...wtf!!! I just showed it to him. I had to go find him to remind him that I was the one that showed him the card. He said "o yes , she's fine."... I shouldn't have to go through all this. I recently got an oil change at a Jiffy Lube in the Houston area for my brand-new Toyota Highlander. I specifically asked for a high-quality oil change, and they charged me $123. However, after just two or three days, my car completely broke down. The oil pump light came on, and the car wouldn't accelerate properly. The engine also started making strange noises. I was supposed to change the oil after 10,000 miles, but I decided to go to another shop for an oil change. That's when I discovered that Jiffy Lube had used recycled, low-quality oil in my new car. I've been going here for years despite having a Jiffy location 6 minutes away from me in Katy. They get very busy so it's best to come here first thing in the morning. Also, ask if there's coupons available. Be nice about it. They'll take care of you. If you're getting a state inspection for your tag renewal, make sure you have your current auto insurance ready to show them. You can also pull it up on your phone if you don't have a hard copy card. Definitely could've have been better. This place really over charges you for things that you can find alot cheaper elsewhere. Oil change for $100 is very steep even for my F150. You can rationalize "this and that' and justify that its different for every vehicle, but $100 is too much. Another issue I had was doing a coolant flush. On the website it clearly states "Approximately $99.99". https://www.jiffylube.com/resource-center/coolant-flush-cost However my price given to me was $179.99. You would think that "approximately $99.99" would mean $120.00 or even $80.00 since that "approximately $99.99" too. Do NOT go to this location, they are SCAMMERS, LIARS, GASLIGHTERS especially if you're a woman...so add SEXIST on top of that. I went in to get an oil change and had a special deal, which I called ahead of time to quote and had the price already in mind. I only went because I had the special but now I deeply regret even wasting my gas to go in. This started September 19th. I went I for my oil change and they didn't give me the price I was told and said the special is this one not that because it was synthetic oil. That wasn't in any part of the special or mentioned in the call when I TOLD the guy it would be synthetic oil, but the job was done so I paid. Then the gentleman proceeded to tell me all that was wrong with my car. I played dumb because I thankfully knew I had it all done two months prior. I got a copy of his list and even a card that said I needed brake fluid URGENTLY. I took both papers and said that's so funny because I just got this done. He kept asking when I got it done and I said do you think it needs to be fixed and he said yes and that's when I told him that's funny because it was only a couple months ago...he said oh we can double check and I said no thank you please give me my car because if all of that is as bad as you say I will be seeing my mechanic and he will need to then fix his mess up (I knew he didn't mess up he's a trusted family mechanic). He gave me my car and went straight to my mechanic that Sunday. As I already knew everything Jiffy Lube said was a LIE! I even went with my parent and we saw everything I "needed" was not just fine, it was brand new and full. I was mad about it all week but left it alone as that until my coworker said he also went to Jiffy Lube and got an oil change and he was given the full coupon. We both used synthetic and went to the same exact place, but seeing as he was a guy he wasn't argued or gaslit or anything. Given exactly what he needed where as I was given all this because I'm a woman. This actually was the thing that had me call back to complain because it made me feel awful and like I was taken advantage of. I called and spoke to the manager, Andrew and he told me to come in for my refund so I did. Also said they can check the car again it'll be free and I said absolutely not I DO NOT trust yall to look at my car and tell me the truth or even charge me the correct amount so I don't want yall even touching my car. Anyway, I pulled up and the guy who messed it all up approached me but I was still polite and asked for Andrew who I spoke to on the phone...HE WAS ANDREW!! So the manager himself was the one that screwed me over. I went in and had to explain left and right to two other guys and told me oh well the charge was more than three days ago so we can't do it...like what does that have to do with me? Like it's MY fault THEY messed up and I have to somehow figure that out within three days?!? I got so upset about that and they said we're so sorry the guy helping you (mind you it was the same Andrew in the room telling me this) only took the 20% off they didn't click to add the 30% additional. That's not how that math works to take the 50% off the total. Plus I also actually saw it on the screen itself there was a button for 50% off on the left, and the 20% on the right so there's no adding you just click on the right one but I digress... eventually they said they will talk to their manager to give me my money back. Andrew also had the audacity to apologize and ask who was it that helped you as if he doesn't remember someone with white and bright blue hair. This Jiffy Lube location lost the cap to the brake fluid reservoir on one of my vehicles. I didn't notice right away as this is my wife's car, however when I called to discuss they told me that I should have checked their work and reported it right after the service. I can't say it's common practice to inspect under the hood after an oil change. I exclusively used this shop for all maintenance on both vehicles, however, after this experience I will not be back. This is not an expensive part and simply offering to reimburse for their mistake or even accept responsibility would have been acceptable. Both the assistant manager and manager displayed poor customer service skills when I finally got to speak with them and were unwilling to right their wrong or offer even a simple apology. With as many other options that have both lower price and better reviews, we will be taking our business elsewhere going forward. read more

Went in today at 6:30 pm (roughly). They got me in and out fast. On the way home I notice a bad burning smell and as I get closer to home it got worst and smoke started coming out from under the hood. I pulled over and shut the car down. Popped the hood and found oil all over the top, front, and passenger side of the engine. It's was coating even the fan casing and some on the radiator, what I think is the alternator and most of the exhaust manifold. Honestly I was really worried it was going to catch on fire. The scary part and worst part was it filled my interior with burning oil smoke and fumes. I had planned on going to an event at 7pm but it took me until almost 9pm to get to some place I could successfully clean up the mess they made. I live in an apartment and have zero access to anything I need to deal with the type of mess that they made. I know accidents happen, but come on. These guys obviously knew what they did (their oily hand prints are literally on the top of my engine ). Why not take the time to clean it up. This was not a small accidentally over flow of a "splash" of oil. It was a lot of oil and could have caused a fire given how much was on all of the components and exhaust manifold. Very disappointed. I've been to a lot of Jiffy Lubes over the last 20 years. Very much not impressed with this one. 'Technician' spun out and almost ran my truck off in the well, then proceeded to walk back and forth underneath it for 10 minutes like it was the first time he'd ever seen the bottom side of a truck. I could have drained the oil and swapped the filter 5 times already. Luckily, the one dude out of the three that obviously knew what he was doing took over and knocked it out. read more

I really needed the oil change as I am heading out of town. They were just being lazy I went across the street where they were willing to do both. I was overcharged at this location and when I brought up how high the bill was the sly guy didn't step in and remove the extra item I didn't request which caused my oil change to cost an extra 20 dollars. I have used this location multiple times before now and never had any reason to be alarmed but 100 bucks for an oil change when I have never paid that. You are better off finding a different company to get you oil changed than using a Jiffy Lube stores. Even the area manager is belligerent. Went in for a state inspection today, and they threatened to fail the test unless I allowed them to replace the window wipers for $30.99 each (a pair of the same type costs $20.32 on Amazon). "Of course, if I wanted to go somewhere else to get them replaced that would be fine too" I went back to check the wipers myself, and they looked fine to me. Fabulous customer service and speedy quick, too! This is the second time I've come here on my lunch break and had my oil changed and back on the road within 30 minutes! There were a couple people already in line getting theirs changed when I arrived which proves to me that they're dedicated to servicing their customers quickly and efficiently. The manager, Terrell, was very thorough in his explanations of what was best for my car/what it needed in order to function properly. He gave me tips and advice on things that needed replacement soon that I didn't have time to take care of right then and other locations in the event I needed assistance on the side of town that I actually live on. The employees that work here have always been helpful and courteous. This is a complaint about pricing. I took my 2011 Toyota in for an oil change & they wanted $88 for regular oil. I'll never go back. This is a ridiculous price. I mean to remove a bolt & change a filter, they want close to $60 in labor that takes $15 minutes. At $240/hr, I'll do it myself. Drive in and everyone is friendly, drive out and I am pissed off I showed up here to get my oil changed prior to the 860 mile journey back to Atlanta. It is so close to my parents house and it was open early on a saturday so I roll in. Was in a pinch because I was leaving that morning. $42 for a standard oil change? Seriously if that is the norm then that is ridiculous, I pay $16 in Atlanta. So I know I am getting screwed on the rate but I don't have many choices and I am trying to get out of town. So I suck it up and ask the guy to make sure he puts some air in the spare while he is changing the oil. He says will do, and he will check all the other tires also. They finish up, and he tells me he is having trouble resetting the check oil sign on my car. I tell him how to do it but he fails. I say screw it and decide to do it myself. I ask him if he put air in the spare, he says yes, and I drive off. Upon leaving, I look down and the tire air pressure warning is still blinking for the spare. He didn't put a single drop of air in that tire, WTF? So I am angry at that point and am about to turn around when I see that he put air into two of my other tires on one side. Tires that were at 34 PSI on the right side of my car are now 40PSI. The other two tires are still at the same pressure 34 PSI. At this point I realize I just overpaid for an oil change and that they are just a bunch of useless fucking hacks. Upon getting home I check the oil to make sure they changed it and crawl underneath the car to see if they put the oil filter back in right and installed the drain plug properly. Good news is they did something fucking right. Tell the wife and she is pissed and tells me for the price that we need to drive back over there and have them fix it. Of course I say, "no fucking way!!" If they are that incompetent the first time, I am not going to give them a second shot at screwing it up even more. I use jiffy lube when I'm in a rush, knowing that I'll be sacrificing quality yet saving time. This jiffy lube does average work, just as most jiffy lubes, but at a snails pace. The one thing I thought I could count on from them, getting in and out in a decent amount of time, they could not deliver. Fast service stopped in at 11 AM on Monday morning and they got me in right away. Put in some brand spanking new synthetic oil to last me a while. Brady sold me on a transmission flush for 69.99. And it only took about an additional 20 minutes. Also gave me some tips for cleaning the air filter in the mustang. Do not use this Jiffy Lube. They may you give a star rating. They deserve a negative star rating. When changing the oil, they did not put an oil filter back in my Miata which caused the engine to burn up within 5 minutes. Their insurance does not want to pay the full amount to fix my car. Their managers and vice president will only refer me back to their insurance. Their private adjuster spent all of 5 minutes looking my car. To put my car back the way it was will cost me $5,000 out of pocket. It is just not right to drive a perfectly working car into their shop and end up with one that is ruined. read more

The staff was all very nice, Alvin was great in getting my info and checking me out at the end. They had no problem taking the coupon off my phone (and yay for coupons). There was a Jiffy Lube near where I bought the part but I figured I'd go back to the place that said they could install it. That turned o it T to be a mistake.
