After starting the day at a less-than-helpful JiffyLube close to my house, I stopped by this branch to attempt to purchase a gift card. Each store has a poster on the front door of gift cards, so naturally I assumed they sold them. First, I was greeted warmly by all 3 staff, and made to feel welcome (unlike my experience at Covington WA store). When I asked about a gift card, Ralph said he'd never done one, but because they advertised it, he'd be willing to learn how to do it. I left with a gift card, and even though JiffyLube doesn't carry the specific synthetic oil my new car requires, we will continue to take our older car to JiffyLube. The first time I went to this Jiffy Lube for an oil change the service was good, nothing too great and as I'll explain, the staff (of guys) at the time was completely different. (Step your game up guys because the ladies are killing it!) Now the second time at this Jiffy Lube I arrived to a totally different group, consisting of some awesome ladies that did a fantastic job. These ladies were very kind and upfront, they did their job very well never making me feel pressured into the upsale but honestly explaining the services to me. I appreciated that. Pulled up next in line at door. Employee told me it would be a long wait and seamed to try and discourage me enough on waiting and wanting me to leave. When I said it would be ok, I could see I was next in line..... they said ok and then I waited and waited and waited. Easy process, competent and helpful staff, and a quick, painless experience. The team here was able to take care of the oil change and battery replacement I needed while providing and explaining the different price points of each. I appreciated the other preventative measures they took such as checking the air filter, filling the washer fluid, etc. After leaving I realized my car was shaking quite hard while idling. I'm not sure if that is normal after the services I got, so I attempted to call and leave a voicemail but there was no mailbox set up. This is my second time here and this is the only other place I go to get my oil change when I don't feel like dropping my car off with my usual mechanic. This is my local jiffy lube. I have been coming to this location for my last 3-4 oil changes. A couple of days ago my car system tells me I'm due for a oil change so I drive up to jiffy lube and tell them I am here for a oil change. They walk me into the lobby explain there coffee or tea and to help myself! So I go to fix a cup of coffee and one worker ask me to approach the counter where he explains to me that I was about 1500 miles too early for a oil change right now So he gave me a choice go ahead with the oil change or come back in 1500 miles? Wow I have never had a mechanic be so honest usually the mechanic would just go ahead and do the oil change anyway. I told this worker that I appreciated his honesty and that he saved me some money! He said good I aim to please! I was so impressed with this "royal treatment" I had to come on "yelp" and write them a good review! Especially for my ladies that feel the same way I do when going to a mechanic. I try to prepare myself to be "robbed" over-priced and treated like an idiot! But not at this Kent jiffy lube! And ladies be sure you go to the correct one cause there's 2 jiffy lubes on 104th. I am talking about the one near Fred Meyers on james street not the one by yogurt land or Walgreens or Rite-aid or where they sell flowers on the corner not that one! I was stranded down the street. My car was dead and I didn't know what to do or who to call. The nice young man waving and holding a sign for Jiffy Lube noticed me blocking traffic in the middle of rush hour and ran into his Jiffy to get me help. Between 3 guys they ran over to my car and pushed it into the shop almost a whole block away. I felt so cared after. Jake quickly diagnosed the issue as a bad battery. They never once made me feel pressured at all. I felt sincere care and worry from the guys. I was so grateful for their act of kindness that I went ahead and gave them my business rather than going across the street for a new battery. Cheaper or not they didn't have to help me at all. I have read the bulk of these reviews and realized that people only tend to want to rip on a business for every little thing that isn't perfect. Jiffy Lube has been our Go-To oil change place for years however today the OUTSTANDING customer service was in need of being shared. I was having trouble getting the hood of my late husbands 77 Ford F-150 open, I'd had the truck in just a few weeks ago for a change and they made it look so easy. Well, the truck overheated on a hot day last week and I couldn't get the hood open, so in desperation I called Jiffy Lube this morning and Brandy the Manager of the 104th location offered to come by and see if she could help, YES, home service!! And THAT she did!! She too made it look easy and yes the radiator was really low. She took note that there wasn't an overflow bottle and offered to "help me put one in" saying "to stop in" and she could help me!! Brandy displayed the utmost OUTSTANDING ABOVE AND BEYOND Customer SERVICE!! I work in the Customer Service Industry and Brandy should be recognized for her OUTSTANDING SERVICE!! I came to this location for an oil change. I was interested in the $12 off sign. I was quoted 3 different prices for an oil change. First it was $30, then oopps, it's $40, then "you're low on oil" it's gonna be $50. Customer Service sucked. AFter completion of the oil change, an employee read over my reciept what was checked, what's okay & what wasn't. So going in there, I had badly damaged wipers, but somehow these idiots "checked" them & they were perfectly "okay". No, they didn't check the wipers, because had they done so, they would have clearly seen the damage to them. I will never go here again because it sucks & also they clearly lied about what they did. So I caught them lying about the wipers, what else did they lie about? Did they actually replace my filter? They said they did but they also said they checked my wipers & they were "okay". read more

At this point we choose not to do oil change, but they had already taken took off our shield which keeps belts from squealing when it rains. I have taken both my wife's SUV & my small Toyota to this location 3 times within the past 6 months & each time I was very pleased with the high level of service I received. When I arrived an employee came out, showed me where to park, greeted me warmly and had me follow them to the waiting room, showing me on the way where the restrooms were & of where the hot coffee was if I was so inclined as I waited. They were quick, efficient & above all EXTREMELY friendly and did NOT try to up-sell me on every little thing. I was shown the services that the manufacturer recommended but I was not pushed into buying anything. This, I greatly appreciated. Having worked for GM for more years than I could count, I knew a thing or two & the employee was spot on on with what he/she talked to me about. I may be a guy, but each time they were done, they still held the car door open for me after they were finished. The last time I was in, I struck up a conversation with this very nice elderly lady whose husband had just passed and so car maintenance was now left up to her. I left her with a very glowing recommendation of taking her car to this location as their prices were fair & their employees actually treated the customers like they cared instead of as just another sale. By the look on her face, I knew I had helped ease at least one small factor now facing her and it's because of the excellent service that I received, that she now has a place she can take her car to & won't be ripped off, just because she is elderly. The team at this location goes beyond their normal everyday responsibilities. We have always had outstanding service the past four years but tonight goes beyond the word 'outstanding'. We drove in to check why the engine light was on in our car and unfortunately the car ended up and would not start in the Bay Area of Jiffy Lube. The manager on duty called Midas and sought information about the code which identified the issue. He informed us that his team of three could push the car over to Midas while he very quickly stopped traffic to allow the car to be pushed by the team. These individuals were all very customer oriented and the manager was that too and very proactive and professional. I came to visit my daughter in Washington for the summer and we got caught with an emergency while driving around in Kent shopping. My tire was flat when I came out of Ross! Ah! My daughter immediately got online to see where we could get help...we called Firestone and they were less than enthusiastic to relay any concern. We called Midas and then Bucky's and we were met with the same apathy. Then we saw Jiffy Lube...we were apprehensive due to the online ratings but we were in a pinch so we gave it a try. Called and Kim the manager answered our call. She immediately showed her concern and asked us if we were somewhere SAFE! She offered if we needed a ride! Wow! My daughter and I were blown away! We told her what happened and she said no sweat that they were only 1 mile down the road. She offered to pick us up while we arranged to have the car towed to her shop. Unfortunately my car did not have a spare tire! While we waited at her shop she used her own AAA account and got our car towed at no cost to us! Their tire guy Jake got to work IMMEDIATELY. They had a standard Honda sized tire at the shop and swapped it out in less than 15 minutes! Jake offered a free safety inspection and noticed that all my tires were pretty worn. I said what the hell change them all. I don't want any more bad surprises while driving back home to California next week. I was in and out of the shop in less than an hour with a restored sense of safety and I came out paying less than $300 bucks for tires, and the assistance in my minor emergency. I am very dissatisfied with Jiffy Lube!!!! Specially the worker by the name of Zach. I called ahead to explain that I needed my transmission fluid top off, that I didn't have a dip stick and if they were able to check with the special tool. The guy assured us that he would be able to and it would only take him a hour. I asked if he needed my information but he insisted no it's ok he didn't need it. I dropped my truck off at about 9:30am. I popped up around 1:30pm to see if my truck was ready and it was not even worked on. They were actually using my truck to jump start another vehicle and the man was saying I tried calling you but when we left the truck and asked if he needed our information he said no it's ok we don't need it. So I question how and what number were you calling since he didn't get my information. So my truck say there for 4 hours with nothing being done because he said he wasn't able to since he didn't have the tool! Very frustrated and upset. I could have taken my truck else where instead of waiting all this time for what? Not a damn thing! But for them to use my truck to jump start another vehicle! Bullshit!!! read more

Do not get your car serviced here. They double charge for services. Let me explain. The basic oil change includes five quarts of oil. If you want up graded oil, they charge for that, plus your included five quarts of oil. I took my diesel truck there, which takes 15 quarts of oil. They charged for the basic oil change (5 qts included), oil upgrade charge ( $10), plus 15 quarts of diesel oil. I asked management about the double charging they said prices are set by their corporate office. I ask the corporate office to explain. They said they could not, prices are set by local dealers. I filed a complaint with the Washington State Attorney Generals Office. This office cannot do anything but register the complaint. STAY AWAY read more
