COVID19: Open for business. I needed to get an oil change for my sons old car (+200,000 miles). There was only one other car in the other stall. The young lady/service writer approached and I immediately felt like I was going to get an up sell schpeel. All I wanted was a simple oil change. In n out. She advised me that it was going to take 30 mins because they didn't know what they might find. I got the feeling like maybe I should go back to my old place 20 mins away. Other guy I go to is a 15 min in n out oil job (and they check all other fluids...and will check anything that you may have a question about). If you have a reliable and honest oil change place stay keep going there. 2 stars is because I had to give something. But, I never got beyond the service advisor. Excellent service! I came in for an oil change and to have my headlight replaced. I tried changing the light on my own but ran into some trouble. Turns out it wasn't just me, they needed to spend extra time on my vehicle to change the light. They vacuumed my car (without me even asking) and changed my headlight all free of charge. Customer Beware!! I finally received a call from the district manager of Jiffy Lube who summarily denied all responsibility and refused any compensation. He stated Jiffy Lube did not believe in logic, only facts, and welcomed me to take up my complaint through the court system. I was absolutely flabbergasted with the stupidity of his statement which ignored the biggest looming fact that I drove my car into his shop, and after his technicians worked on it, it immediately needed to be towed to a mechanic. To top off the conversation he even told me he had been to court on many occasions as if that was a badge of honor! Seriously? This only means the events that happened to me were not an exception at all, and Jiffy Lube's response to such incidences is to skirt any responsibility unless they are absolutely forced to by a Judge. My wife brought in my car to get the breaks checked and they quoted her $1100 for multiple issues. I told her to get it checked somewhere else, that's a lot of money. Got it fixed at another mechanic for $300, 3/4 were non issues. Mechanic was shocked that someone would try to give that quote. Definitely avoid. read more

I stopped here for an oil change when I was in the area. I don't remember the name of the guy who helped me, but he was incredibly friendly, chatty, and helpful. He recommended the best oil type for my car and gave me a discount (my car model is known for oil overconsumption) and used my online coupons with no hassle. $33 out the door with the more expensive oil.... not bad! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and they still took me in at around 6PM, when most places won't. My car had been vacuumed, too! I would give 5 stars but their network is REALLY slow, and only one station to pay. The computer repeatedly froze and had to be restarted when I needed to pay, which delayed the process, and the technology looked pretty outdated. When he tried to call for support, no one picked up, either. I'd go to Jiffy Lube again.... great service! read more

**BEWARE of SCAMS** There's is at least 1 shady employee at this location. Went in for a routine oil change and was told tires, brakes and rotors needed replacement, estimated cost was $1300+. Since it was an unexpected expense on a car hardly driven, we left and decided to get the issue addressed at a later date. Took the vehicle into have a brake inspection at another automotive shop and was told the brakes and rotors were in great shape! Luckily only lost out on this brake inspection fee. Super disappointed and now wondering if the oil and filters were ever changed. Spread the word...this employee needs to be fired! BAD SERVICE!! I went in for an oil change. Waited in my car until it was done. One of the employees came up to me and gave me the total. I gave my card and she went away to charge it. I didnt know about any promotions but I showed it to them minutes later after they charged me and i asked if I can still use the promotion. She said they can't do that, it's a credit card. She gave me so much attitude! She also said that she already asked me if I have any coupons earlier and because I gave her the coupon AFTER she charged me that she CANNOT change it anymore. **she can't or she won't?? Hmm** never seen a charge that can't be changed/clarified before. I have to take part of the blame for this negative review - only because I was dumb enough to give this store a second chance... First of all, the convenience of Jiffy Lube is tough to beat which is why I returned. Unfortunately most of the car repair places I trust in my area will need to keep the car all day to do an oil change. I didn't have time for that so I decided to give Jiffy Lube another shot. I went there about two years ago for service and they forgot to tighten the bolts on my wheel after a tire rotation. I drove about 1/4 of a mile and my tire almost came completely off. Bent the bolts, etc. so I had to take my car to the dealership for repairs. The Jiffy Lube store eventually paid for the repair but it was a major inconvenience that could have been a lot worse if I would've been driving on the highway. Anyway, I decided to give the store another try - just an oil change and NOT a tire rotation. This time it looks like the technician must have used his filthy hands to put the new reminder sticker on my window because the cloth headliner all around the window is ruined! Light beige interior with oil fingerprints is not a good look. Safe to say my two cars will never be at that jiffy lube again and I caution anyone else that is considering going to this store. This place replaced my battery with the wrong one. They put in a 34 instead of a 24 and the bracket and nuts are digging into the fire wall. I know some people don't care but when you pay 40k for a car you want what came out of it replaced with same in kind. After going back and forth with them they still refused to put the right one in..dont go to this jiffy lube because if they screw something up. They won't fix it.. read more

I've always had trouble with my oil levels in my car. But with jiffy lube I don't have to worry about that because I can come back and get it topped Off before my 5000 mile mark. I got there around 30 minutes before their closing time but the two guys there were really nice and helped me out! I don't think I'm getting my lil changed anywhere else any time soon. read more

EMPLOYEE LIED STRAIT TO MY FACE. STAY AWAY!!! I went in to get a break and head light inspection. They told me I needed new brake pads and rotors and that it was close to metal on metal. (this would cost $989 btw!!!) When I asked them to show me where the damage was on the rotor the employee pointed out a line of dirt saying "it was a sign of damage" and it would be risky not to replace it immediately. Looking at the break pad it wasn't even close to warn out, yet the man insisted it needed to replaced. Rubbing my finger on the rotor was completely smooth as well. When I told them I couldn't go through with the brake replacements they told me that they were unable to pass me for the headlight inspection which they had already done and passed. I pulled out of there shortly after as muiltiple employees shot me daggers. Took it to my local mechanic where everything passed the inspection with ease. 0/10. I've been here twice now and both times, the service was just eh. The first time, they closed early and didn't do any checks on the car. The second time.. I was literally the first person in line for an oil change and after waiting 15 mins for my car to be checked in, the oil change took 50+ minutes to complete. I like the Valvoline in Long Beach Towne Center much better as their service is faster, the price is comparable, and I can see the work as they're doing it which brings some peace of mind. EDIT: I contacted them in response to the comment below and will post back if they do anything. Update: three weeks later and I'm downgrading my review from 3 stars to 2 stars. All of the staff was not friendly except one gentleman working the front desk (wish I would've caught his name). Staff was too busy talking, drinking/snacking, and vaping to actually be working on cars. They didn't reset my service lights and I had to ask them to do it before I left. First guy brought his drink into my car and attempted to hold it while working, then had to call a different person over to reset the lights because he couldn't figure out how to. My windshield wiper fluid light was still on so I politely asked if they could refill it since the light was still on. In an annoyed voice the worker told me they filled it, the light just won't go off. As soon as I got home I popped the hood to find a dry and empty reservoir. Bought wiper fluid and filled it myself and the light immediately went off. An overall bummer experience, and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. read more

I asked if I could use my coupon for my 95.00 oil change and the worker told me no because I didn't get that type of oil. I came in for a routine oil change. There was a bit of a wait but they had outdoor tables I could sit at while I waited. They let me know that my brake fluid was low and I had them replace that as well. When they were almost done they let me know that they have a headlight defogger service with a lifetime warranty. My headlights have been clouded over for many, many years and it was difficult to drive at night. I told them to go for it as I had bought a kit myself but never used it. They were done in about 20 minutes and my headlights are crystal clear! I wish I had come to see them five years ago. I am very happy with the service I received and will be coming back for sure. Took my 2005 mustang in recently. Got oil change. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Gabriel took the time to explain things to me and everyone seemed to be in great spirits. It is rare to see employees getting along and just looking happy. So props to that crew! I returned about a week later because water was entering my car at passenger side foot area, and Gabriel explained what it was (leaves/debris clogging drain holes). Let me preface this by saying that zero stars should really be an option but here we go... I took my car into Jiffy Lube on 7/21 for (what I had hoped would be) a routine oil change on my 2015 Kia Optima. I was in and out in 45 minutes and in that moment very satisfied with the services rendered. However, later that evening as I was getting off the 405 my car began to aggressively chug, smoke and I began to mentally prepare myself for it to stop working altogether. Grateful to say that I did manage to make it home, driving at the most inconsistent pace from all of the chugging but was completely dumbfounded as to why this was The next morning I reluctantly got back in the car and drove the short distance from Rossmoor to Jiffy Lube. I was met with what appeared to be obvious annoyance and zero remorse at the inconvenience of it all by the manager, Erik. He majorly downplayed the issue and tried to gloss over the fact that his team had significantly overfilled my oil. After at least 15 minutes of haggling, they drained the excess oil and he agreed to give me half of my money back for the inconvenience of it all. I really wish the story stopped there but today as I was about to cross over the bridge on Seal Beach Blvd to get onto the 405 and go to work, i started to accelerate and my car spat out a giant cloud of smoke immediately smelling of fire. I was terrified and even though my car would barely move from the chugging back and forth, I managed to get to the parking lot of Spaghettini, called AAA and had my car towed back to Jiffy Lube. My second encounter with Erik was downright infuriating. He did not apologize once for the issue, pathetically tried to pivot by stating that "Kia's have these problems when they get close to 40k miles" and took an hour and a half of inspecting to tell me that my car had very little oil in it this time. I had to wait even longer for the geniuses to actually replace the oil and I am convinced that they wanted to charge me. Erik kept trying to distract by encouraging me to look into recalls and referencing complicated car jargon that the average consumer simply does not know. It felt particularly sexist the way that he spoke to me, as if because I am a young woman with limited auto knowledge I should completely take his word as the "expert". It is important that I add that I have had ZERO issues with my car before entrusting to Jiffy Lube for a ridiculously simple service. I have never left a detailed YELP review but I feel it is imperative to let others know about the quality of customer service they will be met with if they visit their location. To say that I am dissatisfied is a gross understatement. I am nervous to drive my car again because of the inconsistencies experienced over the past week and a half. I strongly urge Jiffy Lube to give Erik some more training in dealing with the public because his limited people skills and lack of emotion will surely limit their return business. read more

Worst experience ever! Was told 10 minutes for oil filter to be delivered...no problem! 1 hour 30 minutes later, after all oil drained, filter shows up and is wrong filter. Then told 4 hours for right one. I decide to take car & come back. I try to leave and on board computer says too much oil put in (common thread here with prior reviews). They take out .5 quarts and I drive it home a mile away slowly as it still showed over max (Audi Q5). I was told they would call when it arrived. No call, so I called and no answer. Obviously pissed off now, I drove back expecting no filter. Instead I get a girl with an attitude stating they had been waiting for me since 2:30PM. What the .... They replace filter & it still shows to full. They seemed baffled & have no answer (Jiffy Lube mystified with basic oil change). Dropped $120 and still will probably have to take it to real mechanic to make sure they didn't screw up my car. NEVER AGAIN! I would take a 1976 Pinto here! This Jiffy Lube is right down the street from my house and the most convenient location for me to visit. I needed an oil change but knew that they were closing in 30 minutes. I called and guess what- they told me they could take me in! I brought my own oil for a synthetic oil change. Saves me about $10-$15. One of the workers here actually gave me that tip, and I thank him for it every time! Usually when I come here, it takes about 1 hour to 1 hour and a half to get everything done. Since I came in towards closing, there was only one other person whose car had to be looked at. To my surprise, I got called up only 15 minutes later! My car was done. The mechanic was extremely informative and didn't try to charge me for any additional services. Just straight to the point. I was out of there in a total of 20 minutes. I've been coming here for years and because of their service, that won't be changing anytime soon. read more

I pulled up my vehicle and waited inside my vehicle over 10 mins. No one ever approached my car. It wasn't until after I got out and had to get loud did the 6-7 employees simply stare at me. Still no one approached with a salutation. One older gentleman in glasses only response was "you can always go somewhere else", I asked if he had permission from the owner to decline my business. I live across the street. I have 6 vehicles that bring them all here and have been doing that for over 10 years. This gentleman said he IS the owner. I challenged him and asked him his name, he stated Richie Valens, obviously was being a smarty pants. Finally the manager came over and stated he was on a phone call and couldn't acknowledge me. I corrected him, I informed him I watched him go get the phone and then dial a number, he then stared at me a few minutes before making the call. I HIGHLY recommend to the owner, as one business owner to another, to educate your staff on not being allowed to say they are the owner. That can open a whole other can of worms for you. Also as one owner to another, you sell overpriced oil and vehicle services. I dont mind paying for the convenience but when I have to beg for customer service and then are lied to, by your staff, I'm going to PepBoys, they are much cheaper anyway. You need to do ALOT more training of your staff across the board. Over the years, this location has gone from bad to worse. Please do better. read more

Kinda disappointed from this Jiffy Lube. Customer service was great when I went in for a diagnostic and a tire rotation, but after going to another mechanic they confirmed that they in fact did not rotate my tires. I called to ask what can be done, and they just said that the mechanic said he rotated them. Word of mouth was not very assuring when I paid $40 for nothing. I even went to another mechanic who also said that the tires were not rotated. Customer service is again fine, but problem solving -- not so much. read more

I called Jiffy Lube yesterday when my dashboard popped up with a "oil change needed" notice, since I had only just had my oil changed a month ago at this location. Gabriel helped me out and was so beyond helpful and walked me through how to reset the oil change needed light on my dashboard (a process that took 10 mins over the phone where he waited for me to try the steps, and then looked up tutorials after realizing I was in an older model car). Then, I stopped by at the shop to make sure my oil was indeed still okay and Gabriel checked it in under 5 mins and assured me I was good to go. Brought my SUV for oil change and that was easy and found that apparently they get to pick and choose who's car is going to get he windshield clean and vacuum. This place was my go to jiffy lube until this day. For some unknown reason the guys kept speaking to each other in a different language with I didn't really care about but made it seem very apparent they didn't want to do something. After the oil change I was looking over my recipe and noticed that in the comments they had put I had declined the window cleaning and Vacuuming. Come on if you are getting to lazy to do your job is one thing but to lie and be dishonest about it ! What a shame for this business location. You can't give Zero stars, so here's one Star, but I wiped a booger on it. Of course, I am well aware of their constant attempts to sell products and services that are unnecessary (horror stories of $140 bills to replace "air filter fluid" or whatever) but I've always gone in for just the oil change. After one visit my oil cap was missing for which they had no explanation. Another visit, the manager refused to accept my valid Jiffy Lube coupon. About a year ago I went in and they told me my lights were out. OK, fine. Hmm. I went ahead and had them do the work. However, on my next visit they told me I had five lights out. Despite their hard sell to have them replaced, I said no. When I got to the car, three of the lights they said we out were working fine, but BOTH of my headlights were out. And they were NOT out the night before. Not even one, but BOTH? I swore I'd never go back, but I was in need and in the area and it was a Crazy Days Sale so I went in. We left for lunch and 30 minutes later they called, not to say it was ready but to inform me of the "necessary repairs", including A LIGHT BEING OUT. My wife said NO to all of them and then they told her it'd be another 45 minutes! I got on the phone and said "45 MINUTES?" and he said, "No, I said 20 minutes". If you do go, check your lights before the service and say NO to everything. I think the jiffy lube is for your bottom! read more

This review's a bit overdue. I recently moved back to California from Ohio and ended up in Los Alamitos. Long story short, I've really enjoyed my two stops at this Jiffy Lube location. Staff has been very friendly towards me. Tyryce, in particular, deserves a shout out. He greeted me both visits and has very good energy. I've felt all positive vibes from him. Truly excellent service. Everything else seems great about this location. Hassle free plus the venue is clean and organized. Everyone seems to be working hard. Stopped in today for an oil checkup. Brought my car in, tell me my front rotors are warping, I said how is that possible I literally got new rotors and brake bads at another location 7-8 months ago, tell me to go to that location to have them look, so I go today and they say idk what that jiffy lube in los alamitos told you, rotors aren't warping and you 70% on your break pads, they showed and pointed it out to me.. trying to pull a fast one on me or what? read more
