*Update* over a year of waiting for my reimbursement of $400 for a rental car bc jiffy lube broke my car in the bay and should have paid for it to begin with after telling me they would.. still have $0 from them bc i refuse to sign and "settle" for money they owe and promised to pay me. they will not give it to me unless I sign and never talk about it again but you all need to know. funny how my review here is the ONLY one they never replied to. terrible company and terrible service and follow up. they do not stick to their word. grimey people *Original review from 2023* My truck was immobilized due to employee not paying attention and cutting wires from my engine harness. The biggest PITA ever! Brought in some other employee with "electrical expertise" on their day off to cut the wires from my engine harness on my BMW.. to try and splice them together with a cheap crimp, and did not disconnect my battery while doing so and blew fuses to make things worse. Manager and District manager (Robert Wikstrom) lied to me telling me what I wanted to hear to get me out. was told to pay for my rental and would be taken over by jiffy and would be reimbursed. Was told by Robert that he would get my rental reimbursement asap and would send it asap separately from all else going on. So sorry etc.. lied to me for days and i paid for rental on my own till then due to policy regarding breaking vehicle changing and NO MANAGER KNOWING IT CHANGED, caused the process to take 2-3 days longer than it should have. Was fed lies after finding the correct policy as well with no one ever taking care of the expenses they caused. Paid to fix my truck but all other expenses and time wasted (days - missed 2 days of work) dealing with rental cars and towing and people needing to talk to me. Moral of the story is go to a place that you can trust. These people do not care about you or your car or the impact that they have on your life if they mess it all up. To get reimbursed for only part of the money I paid out of pocket oN my own from this, not additional money offered to "settle" but just the money Robert assured me I would get back separate from the claim and car repair will not be sent to me bc I refuse to sign papers saying they are not at fault at all. Since you damaged by electrical system I wasn't ready to say that you're off the hook until I know you are. Shame on you all for taking advantage of people and lying to them to not deal with YOUR MISTAKE!! read more

My daughter asked where to go for an oil change for her ancient car, her first. As a recent college graduate, her debt is greater than her annual income. We suggested she would find a better price at Jiffy Lube than at a dealer, where we pay about $35/oil change. On that advice, she took her car to Jiffy Lube on Fish Hatchery Road. Asked what kind of oil she wanted, she said, "Whatever is the cheapest." She was given two choices; again, her response was, "Whatever is the cheapest." First of all, I have to say, this was the most expensive oil change I have ever gotten. The most, before this, I've paid for a full synthetic change for my Mini Cooper was $65. This was over $90. I couldn't believe it! Second of all, the place smelled like urine. The bathroom door was opened, but it smelled as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. Avoid this place like the plague. Not only that, immediately after/during, two of my ignition coils just died. Seems like more than coincidence. I fully believe they broke my car and it cost $500 to repair. But at least they were callous about it. read more

I've come here a few times and never wait more than 20 minutes even with a line. The staff are friendly, prompt, and inform you of what you're getting and show you the screen to help you decide what you'd like. They rip women off. I took my car in for an oil change and fluid check. As I sat in the car I watched what they were working on. They only checked the windshield wiper fluid and filled the oil then shut the hood. The main reason I paid to come today was for my transmission fluid because I've been having transmission issues. He said he never checked it and then did so at my request. If I'm paying for a service and I am a women, I expect to receive the full service. They never even checked all the fluids when I left. I will never go to a Jiffy Lube again if I can help it thanks to the location on Fish Hatchery Rd. Experience #1: I went in for an oil change, and to get my fuel filter changed. I was there for about an hour and a half- these things should take, at the most, 30-40 minutes (they were not particularly busy that day). Experience #2: I went in for an oil change, sat in the waiting room for the customary 45 minutes plus, then was told that my truck wouldn't start. I just about had a heart attack, thinking that my starter was broken, and imagined that I'd have to arrange for a tow truck, etc. After messing around under my vehicle for a bit longer, the employees told me that the guy doing the oil change had disconnected something under my vehicle, which made it unable to start. In general, I think this place has a high employee turnover rate and hires people who know next to nothing about cars. Beware- going there is NOT WORTH the $10 coupon. read more

I was surprised at the negative reviews, but I realized those are all from a couple of years ago, and IMO they've really turned things around. Here's my experience: - went for an oil change 10/2014 - no problem at all, AND I found the Parkway Restaurant right across the street so I ate a nice breakfast while I waited. - went in for the next oil change last Friday (April 3rd). When I got in the car the next day and pulled out I noticed an oil spot, so I took it back in a few days later. Turns out they'd had a bad batch of oil filters and not only replaced it for free but re-did the ENTIRE oil change. - This morning, more oil. I went in; the gentleman said they'd had to throw out the rest of that batch of filters and was very apologetic (even though JL doesn't make the filters). They started to re-do the oil change and another gentleman came in and told me I had a damaged oil pan. However, since they had no way of knowing how the damage occurred (during the oil change or elsewhere) they would replace it - for free. AND my next oil change would be free (I don't know if JL corporate would be happy with these decisions, so I hope I don't get these guys in trouble). This experience, while an inconvenience, really demonstrates a commitment to excellent customer service. If you haven't been there for an oil change, I highly recommend it. If you haven't been back because of a bad experience a couple years ago, I'd recommend giving them another chance. read more

Came in about a month ago for a replacement low beam headlight ($25)- said they didn't have one in stock so I could pick one up and they'd put it in for free. I finally came in today to take them up on their offer. Figured they might turn me down or at least act irritated with my request. I handed them the bulb and Was in and out in five minutes. Arrived for routine oil change, but didn't have high mileage oil in stock, so they suggested an alternative. Oil was changed, but absolutely no other fluids checked or topped off. No tire pressure checked, no windows washed or vacuuming. Charged me $62+ with coupon, which I brought and asked if I wanted a receipt, which I replied yes. No receipt given because "there was no paper in printer", but if I could stop back at Noon, they might have paper then. This was after they told me a receipt would be emailed, it wasn't. I asked don't you usually check tires, fluids, etc? He responded "yeah I don't know what he checked for you." What a crock! I want a refund! My newly purchased used car had a blown taillight and headlight, so I brought it in to have the bulbs replaced. Jeremy and his crew identified the shoddy work that I had inherited. Your standard national chain jiffy lube. I enjoy coming here for convenience. Took my car for an oil change today and they topped off all fluids and put air in tires. Staff is always friendly and easy to talk to. A little pricier than I like ($40ish) for the oil change, but convenience always wins. Could use some air fresheners in the lobby/bathroom, but not overwhelming. read more
