I can understand advising my windshield wipers, my cabin filters, and other minor sh*t like that. But to BLATANTLY lie to my FACE and tell me that my battery is going when I know for a fact it is completely fine is something I will not stand for. My usual mechanics keep track and inform of everything that is the matter with my vehicle. I enjoy traveling frequently to the point that I require an oil change every month. Guess what they do when this happens? They check all my stuff. And I do mean all of it. Then I go behind them and check it every week just for sh*ts and giggles. I gave JL the benefit of a doubt and took it for a second opinion at Advance. Guess what? Cold cranking amps were completely fine! Better even! I haven't had any issues using Jiffy Lube over the years. Although I don't agree that $100+ for an oil change and some services are a good value, that is just about the market price to be fair. At a recent visit to a Myrtle Beach location, they did discover that my oil filter was loose causing a leak to the underside of my car. For my last oil change, I did not use Jiffy Lube because the other place added a free car wash with their oil change. I think I'd rather have a dirty car than a clean one with an oil leak. read more

I went in for a simple oil change. They said I needed new wipers (untrue) and a new air filter. I okayed the air filter bc I didn't know for certain about the need for it. They didn't reconnect the air hose and my car made it home, but wouldn't run properly and broke down the next morning. Luckily I checked before getting it towed and I saw the problem. They also were in so much of a rush the gave me the wrong discount I specifically asked for either a coupon discount or a veteran discount. They applied the worst option. Also they were very expensive. I don't recommend the NMB location. I have been contacted by a representative and I am impressed by the prompt response. I will update this review pending any resolution, but I appreciate the prompt reply. Ok, I finally received a gift card from Jiffy Lube and an apology. Was there for tire rotation and alignment. The rotation was not done, the mechanic said I needed FOUR new tires; based on uneven tread wear.... I likely need the front two. These are 80k-mile Bridgestone tires with 25k miles on them. He clearly should not have aligned and declined the work if the tires were that bad. Putting this out on social media. read more

Went to Jiffy Lube in North Myrtle Beach and there were two cars lined up in each bay and one car in each bay. I was told it would take 40 minutes I said I would wait. So the line I was in was going much slower than the one I was in when a pest control white truck pulled in and got in that lane. I was upset because I had been waiting 30 minutes and that truck was going to go before me. I decided to leave as I was irate that no one seemed to care or value me as a customer. Got there before they opened. Didn't want to go in before the opening hours of operation of 8am. I parked my car and waited until 8 to go into the front reception area. The weather was nice, so I just sat on the little bench at the front of the store until 8 o'clock. At 8 o'clock I walked in and stood at the customer service desk for a minute. There were no employees behind the desk, so I had a seat and waited. Another customer was sitting in the customer service area also. A couple employees did come in to grab some things and turned around and walked out. After about 10 minutes of waiting, I asked the other customer if I needed to go out there and talk to the employees to get assistance. He told me I needed to drive around to the back of the building. Then an employee would come and talk to me. I said oh, I thought you came inside to get assistance. I had been there since about 745. He said yeah I saw you sitting out there. I go get my car and drive around to the back of the building. An employee came out and asked if he could help me. I said yea, I had been sitting inside in the customer service area waiting, I did not know I had to drive around to the bay for assistance. I wanted an oil change. He said, that's why we have all these big yellow arrows on the ground. He said it in a way that was not nice, more or less saying well your dumb because you didn't follow these yellow arrows on the ground. I said thank you and left. After being there before opening hours then waiting in the customer service area for 10/15 minutes. Then being talked to like I was dumb, I decided on other options. Arrows on the ground are to direct traffic flow everywhere else I have driven. There are no signs saying pull to the bay for service. I did what every other place has you do. I walked inside to the customer service area. I work with the public. When a customer is standing at the customer service desk, talk to them. You shouldn't talk to a potential customer like they are dumb for not knowing to pull around back of a building for service when there are NO signs indicating to do so. Also about 5 employees saw me sitting there on the bench waiting patiently and never even acknowledged me. One guy did ask how I was doing but not if I needed help. I would not recommend or return. Maybe signs saying pull around back to the bay for service would be helpful. Most of us see BIG YELLOW ARROWS on the ground as traffic flow indicators. Just a suggestion though. The BIG YELLOW ARROWS on the ground also point out of the PARKING LOT showing where to exit THE PARKING LOT. read more

I went in for an oil change and was told my battery cranking power was very low. I told them I would take it to my regular mechanic. The service guy said he was very concerned that it would fail at any time, that their pricing was better than other national auto parts stores, and that the battery was original equipment (2019 with 100,000 miles) so I told him to go ahead and replace it. When I filed the paperwork, I saw that my mechanic had replaced the battery in that vehicle in 2022 (Jiffy Lube lied), that it was under warranty (If it was faulty, it could have been covered), that I paid much less than the Jiffy Lube price (another lie), and so in all likelihood was not low on cranking power. Upon complaining to Ace Jiffy Lube thay told me that next time they "would love the opportunity to get it right. We welcome you back for your next service visit." They will never get another chance. read more

With a groupon you can get a pretty cheap oil change here. The low rating is because they broke my glovebox trying to check my cabin air filter... while they were nosing around in my glove box talking about the papers I had in there. I'm not sure if they didn't put my glovebox back together properly because they were mad I wouldn't pay them $49.99 to change a $5 filter, or because they thought I was just going to blindly let them do the work and they would be going back to it. Either way, I'll now have to take time out of my day to fix what they broke. Won't be back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE! We dropped off a Jeep Wrangler. No fancy car, just a Jeep. Oil change was $100.00!!!! They charged us for topping off fluids and said because the car took 6 quarts instead of 5 it was more expensive but never told us that when we dropped off the car! Could have gone to any regular body shop around and would have paid at most $45! I went here instead of Walmart because of convenience, but next time I will just wait at Walmart or any other place for that matter. Thought I was getting great service. Initial visit was friendly and quick on vacation. However after traveling home noticed the technician failed to put the caps on my tires after checking pressure. Annoying because my BMW has fancy caps. Okay now 6 month later doing an oil change the nut was not tightened properly so I've been leaking oil for 6 months now. No wonder I had to keep adding oil. And found that the oil drain plug access cover was not put back. So now I'm out an additional $40 plus tax and shipping to get a new one. Be careful. These folks are friendly and on the surface feels like a great experience. But under the hood and what you can't see they are are unacceptable and horrible. Never again. read more

Who thinks to check their oil after an oil change? No one. But if you visit this Jiffy Lube, you should park somewhere, wait 30 minutes or so, then check it. I seriously think they are purposely charging for a full oil change, shortchanging the customer by 2 quarts, and pocketing the difference. There's no way for me to prove it, so I'm posting a review here. I had mine changed recently (I remember the date, because it was the day Tom Petty died), and I know they put in 2 fewer quarts than my car needed. I have a Nissan Maxima, and problems with my timing chain; it will rattle when low on oil. Well, it did the same thing after leaving here. They didn't mention anything about my having an oil leak, or anything unusual about if it's burning oil or leaking, whatever. I do not have oil on the ground where I park my car either. In the past, I'd had a different car that had an oil leak, and when I got it changed, they mentioned it, so I know they can spot an oil leak. Okay, so fast forward to my present car -- about a week later, I think there's something wrong with my car, so I put a quart in. Another week goes by, and I decide to take it to a reputable shop near my home, and they told me something interesting (besides being another quart low -- so that's TWO QUARTS!). The mechanic told me that a number of people had gone to Jiffy Lube, and had been two quarts low on their oil. There was one lady who had an Audi, and her engine was ruined because it was low on oil. Another had a BMW, etc. So, with this mechanic, he puts in a quart of oil, I drive off, and no timing chain rattle! I will never visit Jiffy Lube again, I hope you don't either. Or at least seriously reconsider going there. If you do, park somewhere, do some shopping or whatever, for 30 minutes, and check your oil! Also, I have to add --- after the oil change, they took me into the back area that has a computer, and tried some SERIOUS UP-SELLING. New tires, air filter, a crap-ton of other stuff. I declined. I called my daughter, who is a mechanic in California, and they talked about my car, and the prices, and whatnot. She said they were trying to charge me 5x the normal price of things, and I left, never to return. So ask around from friends or co-workers about a good mechanic, and have him/her change your oil. The worst experience ever in regards to automotive preventative maintenance. I asked for those services needed for a 30K mile service and ended up getting some things needed for 100K service, new windshield wipers that didn't work well even after taking the car back and being told "these are our premium windshield wipers, and they fit your car." As soon as I got to the dealership I dumped these $50 windshield wipers. I found out into the service that the Jiffy Lube on Route 17 couldn't do the differential oil change as they didn't have the right fluid. I already knew they couldn't do the brake fluid so I had to take the dealership to get brakes done, differential oil change and windshield wipers! read more

Really expensive. $69.99 for an oil change. Then needed an additional quart of oil. It was going to be $77.00 for an oil change. I also brought my own factory oil filter. My local Chrysler dealer charges $39.99 for same service using Penzoil Synthetic blend. Unfortunately they were booked and I needed a fast service before traveling out of town. Went in for a simple oil change on my Subaru. Had the filter and O ring. Heard them beating off the oil plug- said the last place must had put it in wrong. They had to go to NAPA and get a temporary one -they charged me $20.00 extra for that fiasco. Will never use them again. read more

So putting this out there maybe save someone else if i could give negative stars i would! my green expedition that i have had absolutely no problems out of for 2 yrs was taken to Jiffy Lube in N Myrtle on Saturday for an oil change on the reciept it says all my fluid levels and inspections were fine. I had the last 2 days off so didnt go anywhere went to go to work today and car was stalling every 10 min and oil pressure light Went on magically took it back to jiffy and was told its my cars engine and not their fault.. They flushed it and supposedly did another oil change and not even 2 hrs later my car that was perfectly fine 4 days ago is now dead and blown on the side of the rd and when we checked the oil level there was almost nothing in there .... Sitting in their waiting room was listening to their customers share horror stories and stating the only reason they get oil changes there is because theyre free now but that afterwards they always get it rechecked just to be safe. I now have no transportation to work and could possibly lose my job for this and my coworker who was using my car has already lost his and even after I called corporate they said there was nothing they could do... Do not go to Jiffy Lube... Merry Christmas jerks I hope you guys rot! We are missing childrens bdays and Christmas with our families back home thanks to you so glad the neighborhood Jiffy Lube cares about family so much!! read more

Wish I had read some of these reviews before going in for an oil change. Charged $79 for a conventional oil change and tire rotation in a Hyundai Santa Fe, and that was with a $20 coupon. Never paid that much anywhere, even with cars I've owned with synthetic oil. Worst part, though, was that when I got home and parked in my garage, oil dripped on brand new concrete. They apparently didn't bother to wipe the drain plug, and / or filter rim while performing the job. Bad, bad deal. Next time, NTB about a mile north on Rt.17. They do conventional oil changes, which include tire rotation, for $29. Jiffy Lube = total rip off in my opinion. read more

SUPER slow service. My car sat outside an empty bay for 20 mins before they even rolled it up to start inspecting it. Why even have that bay if you don't intend to fill it and keep things moving? After the inspection it then took them another 20 mins to finally come in to go over it with me just so I could reiterate that all I wanted was a simple oil change. They also prioritized customers that came in after us. It seems like this place is entirely mismanaged. Tim was nice about things and thanked us politely for our patience, but it doesn't change the fact that the other attendant was not hospitable in the slightest. I asked an estimate on the time and he said 45 mins. I said, "Oh good! We were gonna go across the street to get a bite to eat. Do you need anything from us before he head over." There are places that will work on your car and do it quickly & atba reasonable price, and then there are places that go the "extra mile" going above what is requested. This Jiffy Lube spot in North Myrtle Beach is the latter. They do it right and added to that are their honesty and integrity. Here is why I say that....I have a Ford Ranger and I have been struggling with getting the heater working. While there for an oil change I mentioned to Sandy(Awesome individual and mechanic) about my problem. I had "advice" from other places who work on this and had estimates of about $1,000 as they said it would require opening the dash and putting in a motor and resistor. Even though this is beyond what Jiffy Lube normally does, Sandy fook the truck into a separate bay and gave me other options to look at and he was right. He said to look at the actuator as that might be the bad boy. We spent 15 minutes looking under the hood and dash in the rain and he said to try that. I am 72 and never a mechanic but I did some research and found rea reputable garage and instead of $1,000 the bill was a little over $200. Kudos to Sandy and the team at Jiffy Lube. Great work and they go beyond what is expected, and that is something tough to find in this world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NORTH MYRTLE BEACH JIFFY LUBE.
