I live a block away but this visit was a clear reminder why I drive miles to go to Valvoline instant Oil instead. The lady Jocelyn that checked me verbally told me she was tired and excited to go home in 30 minutes. When I told her I needed to get my alternator checked, she forgot so I had to tell her again before she left. She must've been too focused on leaving because a few minutes later she was gone and apparently never told them about my alternator getting checked. 30 minutes later they were done and gave me the bill and I showed my $10 off coupon and Sergio said he would take off the $10. Then I asked what were the alternator results, he said they didn't look, so I asked again if they could please check as my car died earlier that day and I needed to know if it was the alternator or battery. 10 minutes later they show me the results and it was my alternator and I should go to a mechanic. I then asked if they do it there and he said he is not sure but he's ask. He later confirmed they do alternators and will get me an estimate. 10 mins later they provide me an outrageous estimate. I then asked just to pay for the oil change and reminded him of the $10 off coupon. Couple minutes Sergio comes back and apologizes but he forgot to take off the $10 but offered a future 15% coupon in the future which is a horrible counter offer as I don't plan on ever come back here again. From forgetting to check my alternator to forgetting the $10 off coupon this overall experience was horrible and would not recommend going here even if you live across the street. I work in service and understand everyone has an off day but this was more than that, they clearly don't like their job and the customers are the ones that suffer. read more

I dropped my car off for an oil change while I went to the gym next door. By the time I was done my car was ready ! There is a coupon on the jiffy website that allowed me to get $15 off the oil change so the price wasn't too bad with the coupon. The staff was very friendly although a little inattentive. 5/10/25, first time at this location. The oil change came with a checklist of complimentary actions, that's nice. I knew that one of my tires needed air, so I asked explicitly for that. The intake process was smooth ("same oil as last time? yes.") I went to wait in their lounge. 10 quarts of oil and $192 later (after the service), I'm going through the paperwork and finding that a lot of the items marked as "completed" have in fact not been done - including the air! It's about trust - I don't care if you don't wash my windshield, just don't lie about something this obvious. I went back to get the air and was on my way, but I bet that other things on the list were not done either.. I hope that at least the oil has been filled as advertised. I come here every 30 days for oil changes and theyre pretty great but they need more staff. doesnt matter what day or time i go-theyre slammed busy and they try their best without enough staff. a car arrived 25 mins after me and got done with their oil change as mine was starting. not the staffs fault-they were busting their tails to get the lines in and done. theres always a long wait, long lines. read more

The employee who helped me was great/ I don't recall his name, but I think he had a bunny tattoo behind his ear. I've been a Jiffy Lube customer for a long time, but this visit was extremely disappointing. The manager's name - ALEXIS behavior was unprofessional, pushy, and lacked basic customer service. I felt pressured into unnecessary services and the focus was clearly on money rather than customer care.the so called manager or assistant manager named alexis should not work here if that's what the company represents!!! I can not believe this is the company hires !!!!!!!!! What stood out most was how different the experience was compared to past visits. Not to mention when there was females working here! The environment felt uncomfortable, and I did not feel respected as a customer. This has never happened to me at a Jiffy Lube location before, and it left a very bad impression.Customer service should be welcoming, transparent, and respectful and especially from management. The paper work said they clean windshield but they don't , they look at batteries and fill up all fluid but they don't even look or do it . As usual, it was a positive and productive visit to Jiffy Lube on 4106 Oceanside Blvd. I was politely greeted upon entry, and Daisy professionally asked what services were needed. She also asked if I needed the tires rotated. When I declined, she was respectful and asked me to wait until I was guided into the bay. I was also offered the opportunity to wait inside the lobby or in the car, but I chose to stay in my vehicle. While in the car, Elian was courteous and professional. We came for a oil change and a general overlook of our vehicle and the workers seemed a little inexperienced. They didn't know what to do in regards to taking a general look at the vehicle and we asked a few times to have them look at our filters, and I don't feel we should have had to remind them to do these things. The worker needed to go look up how to change the filter in our vehicle. The oil change also took longer than it should of, the workers just didn't have any sense of urgency to get the job done and were just okay with getting it done when it got done. Hector, Matthew, and Robert were absolutely incredible. I called 30 minutes before closing on a Friday to see of they would accommodate an oil change, fuel system cleaning, and service checklist. Hector was so kind to say bring it in. When I got there, they showed such amazing customer service and were time efficient. I have to five a special shout out to Hector. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place did me dirty. While they claim to do all the things like check filters, fluids, brakes, and the whole nine yards. They did none of that. Also when I requested, for an oil change, they did it. But the quality of it was subpar, they didn't screw on the O-ring connecting to the engine so oil leaked over where. read more

I have brought my vehicle here for its last two oil changes, and I am appreciative that they are open during these trying times. The structure has changed a bit (I stayed in my car), and a huge plus for me was getting to chat up the manager because I stayed put. I rarely name people in my reviews, but Mike made my visit spectacular! He is boisterous, super friendly and made me a loyal fan of this location. A downside to them not going in my car is the dashboard light is still on, but I can pretty much figure out when to come back. Overall, even though it's 20$ more to stop in for an oil change than the dealership in Carlsbad, I don't mind paying for the convenience. And it's waaaay better than the 4-to-7ish hours Oceanside Tire and Service Center would hold my car for a simple oil change. This location will scam you! I paid $200 for an oil change and brake fluid flush. THEY DID NOT DO THE BRAKE FLUID FLUSH. This was about $130 itself, that I wasted. I know they didn't do the brake fluid flush because soon after I took my car to this Jiffy Lube, I took my car to my reliable mechanic of a few years to get my brake pads replaced. They said it hadn't looked like the brake fluid had been flushed in a long time, definitely not anytime within the last year. As a women it's not uncommon to get scammed when trying to do literally anything with my car. Unfortunately this Jiffy Lube has proved my point. There is a jiffy lube way closer to where I live that I used to go to (closer to the coast). Last time I was in at that other location, I paid $25 for a tire rotation. I go in today to the one closest to my house and they told me it was going to be $60. I told them I didn't think they were being honest with me and cited the instance not too long ago when I was in and paid less than half at the same location. The staff began getting defensive and told me "if I don't like the price, I can go somewhere else". So that's exactly what I did and immediately went to this jiffy lube where they were honest, friendly and did a great job. HORRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. I came in to get my oil changed on Saturday July 27th at around 12pm. When I pulled in there was 1 car in each of the 3 bays. The first mechanic that turned around and saw me rolled his eyes, walked up to me and said "what do you want", I replied "I'm just here for an oil change", the guy right in my face rolled his eyes again and said "sure why not" then walked away. After about 10 minutes another man walked up to get my information. I drive a 2016 Tacoma and have only gone to the jiffy lube in Carlsbad for oil changes my entire time having this truck. The guy walks up and starts to mansplain a bunch of different things about a 4 wheel drive truck like I don't know how my own truck works. He quoted me $130 for AN OIL CHANGE. I thought it was high but whatever. After another few minutes a few mechanics stand in front of my truck and are staring at the aftermarket skid plate I have. I hear them whispering laughing and making comments about me having it on. Then I hear one of the technicians say " oh hell no that's an extra charge". The man who quoted me proceeded to let me know I'll be an additional $30 to get the skid played off. No other Jiffy Lube has made me pay extra, but I understand there's extra labor associated with it so I didn't fight the additional charge. Keep in mind. My total is now 160 for an oil change. During the oil change I hear the KIDS working on my truck making jokes and pretending the skid plate is crushing them as they take it off. One of them is literally fake screaming and all of them are laughing. A few minutes later the kid comes up and shows another technician the video he took of what was happening below my truck and they start laughing. At this point I'm over an hour at this jiffy lube and am ANNOYED. So after the oil change I finally get home and as I'm driving into my place with my windows down I hear a new noise I have NEVER heard before. Still not sure what it is but it is a weird high pitch rumble. I am nervous they did something to my truck or skid plate and will probably have to take it into another shop soon to get this looked at. Overall HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. no one here is professional. Every single one of them acted like they were in 5th grade screwing around and mouthing off like there wasn't an entire shop full of customers. I never write reviews but this was absolutely the worst service experience I have ever had in my life. Read the reviews before coming here because mine is not the only one with this same type of experience. Multiple people have had bad service, issues with their cars after, and women have been quoted wayyyyyy more. read more

My wife goes in because I told her its cheap and easy to get an oil change from here. Without asking, they decided to charge her $118.00 for an oil change. I call Manny, who tells me that it depends on the oils she requested. Knowing my wife, she damn sure did not ask for a specific oil. She then tells me how it was funny because one of them asked if I was sure about the price. BUT IT WAS NOT FROM THE ORIGINAL PERSON. SLAPPING MY WIFE IN THE FACE LIKE THAT. Finding that odd she gave me a call. I told her that's an insane price and I was far more than disappointed in the whole system. *Update* Jiffy Lube asked us to email them with the details of our experience, so we did, and they called us the next day. The person apologized by offering a free oil change. I said that I didn't want anything free out of the review, I just wanted my experience shared with others, but the man kept insisting that I take the free oil change. After about 5 times of me explaining that it wouldn't change my review, I finally said fine to taking his offer so I could get off the phone. He said they would put the voucher under my name on their system at this jiffy lube. Well last week we drove to claim the oil change and guess what wasn't in their "system"? So instead my wife and I looked like a couple of jackasses asking for a free oil change and for them to "check under our name in your system." The employee assured me that's not a thing. Outstanding jiffy lube. I understand that Jiffy Lube is like the Walmart/chain store version of car maintenance shops... but damn... I brought my 2017 Hyundai Elantra in for an oil change and I get out to give the guy my information and ask the prices. He tells me that the oil change will be $94.00! What the hell costs $94.00 for an oil change?! I told him that's ridiculous and he said "well we already are draining your oil" so I had no choice... What a freakin scam show. And then after this $94.00 oil change they show me a list of all the things they "did" for me. Such as vacuum the floors, wash the windshield, and check tire pressure. Last time I was here they dropped a ph tester in my brake line and tried to hide it and despite my better judgement I came back because it is close and convenient, or so I thought. Just sat in my truck in the drive up line for 15 minutes looking at a minimum of 5 employees who never even so much as acknowledged me. 2 other people behind me had backed out of there after receiving no greeting or check in and I eventually did the same when the path was clear to do so. I've been using Jiffy lube for the past 3 years but no more, horrible service, incredibly rude check out by Jennifer G. Who said to me Jesus Christ have your coupon ready next time, even though they just suddenly walk up to my car and asked for payment and the website reloaded from the coupon page. Furthermore, they did not check my tire pressure and it was under inflated as per photo, and lied and said they check it. I may not know much about cars, but I can tell whether the tire pressure was checked since I sat in my car the entire hour for the oil change. Called them and asked if they could do a vehicle inspection for Lyft, the guy on the phone said they could but it would have to be a walk in. So I drive down there and they say they not only don't do inspections but also can't service electric cars. So I call the Vista location because the person here told me they do it at that location.
