I used to go to the JL on Irving which is currently down for remodeling. Have had my last change here and top offs in between. Very prompt service, polite staff, and good coffee. I have a supercharged application and use the full synthetic which if I did myself would cost about the same. So kudos on the good price. Jiffy recommends 3000 miles but I run this 5000 at a time. The manager even offered to special order me the new ultra penzoil for my next change. I will be back and I will recommend to others as well. read more

Went for an oil change 2 days ago: + Courteous staff + Explained all the recommended procedures to me (my car uses synthetic oil) and how much each would cost. They were not condescending, they did not pressure me, nor did they try to upsell anything. (As a woman, I've come across some businesses whose staff think that I do not understand anything about my own car. Yes, I've actually read the owner's manual and I actually keep a detailed diary of what was done/when was it done/etc. to my car.) + Oil change was done in 15 mins (NOTE: This is a first come, first served place. I've used this location for 10 years now and me being a helpless female (joke) I feel lost about some things. I actually go in there for anything - mechanical, noises, message lights inside my car, etc. they are willing to help me no matter what it is. sometimes they can fix it, sometimes they can't, but they diagnose my problem and advise me what to do. I love these guys - I don't know what I would do if they weren't willing to me. p.s. I love the fact they not only let me bring my dog into the waiting room, they are nice to her - and I love their coffee. these will always be my go-to guys. read more

Our car overheated and were in trouble. We limped in and they helped us out. We were fixed and back on the road in an hour. Great customer service by all. Jiffy Lube? More like eternity lube! I have been here for nearly two hours and they are still not done with my car. There are three other people in the waiting room with me who have been here the same or more time. I informed them of the issues with my car and they ignored me and said I was wrong. Then different people said I was wrong and right multiple times.They contradict themselves very much and I'm not very impressed. read more

I have gotten all of my oil changes at this location for the past 7-8 years. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, I'm always nervous about being taken advantage of or sold unnecessary services. However, I always receive excellent customer service here. Everyone at the shop is extremely polite, respectful, and never condescending. I only took one star off because there is usually a fairly long wait (45 minutes or more). The last time I needed an oil change, I ended up being weeks overdue because every time I drove past the Jiffy Lube I could see a big backup of cars in their little back area and so I kept putting it off. There is no exit other than through the garage, so once you pull in to the property, if you decide you can't wait there is no way to exit without backing up directly into traffic. A better layout for the property would be nice, but I realize it's unlikely. read more

I went in August 13 for an oil change. They offered to change different filters, wipes, etc and I declined. Afterwards my car was driving terrible, cutting off, and shaking. I took it in and was told whoever did my oil change didn't secure the filter and other clamps causing my engine to misfire. My engine was ruined and they did not take responsibility for what they did. They were rude and offered a refund on my oil change. Nevermind my destroyed engine, this place needs to be SHUT DOWN! read more

Service was slow and staff broke a part and tried to blame it on normal wear.

These guys just started doing tires and don't know what they are doing. They were too cheap to replace the valve stem and my tire was flat again two days later. My guess is that the valve stem was the problem all along and I didn't actually need a new tire. Thankfully another shop fixed Jiffy Lube's mistake for free. read more

Over the last several years, I have driven by this Jiffy Lube and had my oil changed here several times. I have never written a review, but decided it was time to do so. I always get the impression that they are trying to sell me "more" services at this particular Jiffy Lube. Maybe it is because I am a woman and I always go by myself to have my oil changed and/or tires rotated. Maybe it is because it may have the lowest sales (and so they have to "push" their services and/or products). The last time I went here was for an oil change (as I happened to drive by on my way to another destination), and it was efficient. I needed new wipers for my car due to the fact that they were no longer doing the job correctly. I noticed it during the rough winter that we had in 2013 and early 2014. I requested new wipers, but they checked and said "Oh we don't have those in stock, but we can order them for you." I needed the wipers ASAP so I said "no thanks" and went elsewhere to purchase new wipers. They were relatively fast in changing the oil, but at the end, they showed me the filter and said I should have it changed. They mentioned having the tires rotated, but I knew it wasn't time to rotate the tires. I pulled out a small notebook that I keep inside my glove compartment. This tiny notebook contains everything about the history of my car (the dates, the mileage, what was done to my car). For example, all oil changes and tire rotations are noted in my tiny notebook. Also, the last time the engine was flushed and the last date that I purchased new tires for my vehicle. Every single thing ever done to my vehicle is recorded (with dates, the mileage, etc.). I don't know any one else that does this, but I have been maintaining a record for ALL the vehicles I have ever owned. Of course, I pulled out my red notebook to see if my tires really needed to be rotated. They did not need to be rotated, so I said "My tires were rotated on such and such a date with _____ mileage. They are not due for a rotation until ______ miles." Yeah, I even know exactly when my tires should be rotated and the exact mileage (imagine that -- a woman who does know about these things -- with sarcasm). Also, when I went to this Jiffy Lube I knew I did not require a new filter. My husband changed the filter in my car about two months ago. The filter wasn't really that dirty as the young man claimed it was, so I merely said "no thank you" to a new filter. Do not be afraid to say "no thanks" when they try to sell you something you know you do not need at that particular time. They accept Jiffy Lube coupons (for example $9.25 off an oil change) which I tend to use and appreciate. The employees who work here are always very polite, courteous and professional, but I found other Jiffy Lubes are respectful despite the fact that I am a woman. I appreciate knowing that I am not "less than" just because I am a woman! Hey, I may not be an expert mechanic, but guess what, I know how to change a flat tire if necessary. I know how to check my oil. I know how to add anti-freeze fluid if required. I know how to change the filter myself (it is a lot cheaper to do it yourself than to have them do it for you). All in all, I would return again only if I am in the area. However, I wouldn't go out of my way to return to this particular Jiffy Lube. Again, the employees are very courteous and professional, but something was "off" the last time I patronized this JL. read more

I went here for an oil change on my lunch break and was very impressed with how fast it was. From the time I got out of my car to pulling out of the driveway ... 12 minutes. They changed the oil, topped off fluids and air and even washed my windows and did a light vacuum. The guys working there were all very polite and helpful and I would go back just because of how friendly and respectful they were. read more

This place is sooooo slow! Went for a conventional oil change and it took over an hour! It was 8am on a Friday and they were not at all busy. There is no reason an oil change should take longer than 30 minutes. I do not plan on coming back to this location. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Went in for my new cars first 2 oil changes. Each time i paid for new oil filters. My friend did my oil change the third time to find out they NEVER replaced the oil filters i paid for. AND they never put the oil filter shield back on (due to laziness) Ok service but horrible quality on the things you would probably never know yourself. read more

This had been my Jiffy Lube of choice for the past 6 years but it only 10 minutes by some punk Tech (Rob) who was poorly informed on what promotions were available on Sunday February 7th 2016. I provided him a downloaded coupon offer which he would not accept even after I showed him the offer on the Chicagoland jiffy lube website. I then asked him and the young lady clerk for a pen so I could leave my contact information so a manager could call me back I was told they had no pens. I went back to my car and got a pen and gave my info to the young lady. She either threw it away or the store manager didn't care either. read more

Be very careful. We had an oil change in mid January 2016. Today, Feb 28, we have an low oil warning light come on and the engine was emitting light smoke. Appears they forgot to put the oil cap back on after the oil change and it was spurting oil on the engine. Luck we caught it before the engine seized otherwise would have had large towing and repair bills. Guess it pays to go to an authorized auto dealership for oil changes even if you pay a little more. read more

I went to this location over the summer for a full service oil change, to prepare for a driving trip. Of course, they tried to sell me additional services, which I declined because I was aware their recommendations can be a rip off. However, what made me very mad was this. Included in the oil change was a tire check and adding air to fill the tires. They said tires were fine and changed the oil for me. Later that night as I was driving in the neighborhood, one of my tires made a loud boom sound and my tire immediately went flat. I barely made it to the side of the street. Luckily, no one was hurt, and I wasn't on an expressway. I think the people at Jiffy Lube should have been able to let me know there was a potential problem with my tires. They were bald and ready to blow, as I was told the next day when I took it into the auto shop for repair. When I called back to complain, nobody seemed to care. Jiffy Lube should hire people who know a little more general information about cars. That's what I would assume, but not any more. I will NEVER go back. read more

I just want to say that I was very impressed with the Customer Service that my daughter and I received from Ricardo at the Park Ridge location. In my opinion, he went above and beyond the call of duty. My daughter commutes from Wisconsin to Park Ridge for work and she ran out of wiper fluid on her way to work and it had just snowed the night before so the roads were a total mess. She is not familar with the businesses in the area where she works so she did not know where to go to buy wiper fluid. I called the Jiffy Lube in Park Ridge to see if they sold wiper fluid and I spoke to Ricardo who told me they do not "sell" wiper fluid but they would gladly fill her wiper fluid for FREE if she came in. I was suprised that they would do that for someone who was not there for a service. I sent my daughter there after work and Ricardo filled her wiper fluid at no charge. He also said that anytime she wants her tire pressure checked, she could come in and they will check it for her. It is so nice to deal with such a pleasant and helpful person so I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation because so many places are lacking in Good Custome Service these days.
