The manager, Marcus, took my vehicle for a test drive without me and claimed he felt nothing unusual--a response that immediately raised red flags. After insisting on accompanying another test drive, the stuttering issue was undeniably evident. Upon reviewing the initial service, it was discovered that they had used the wrong transmission fluid viscosity--TSW3324 instead of the manufacturer-recommended TSW3309. Marcus admitted the mistake and went to a local Mazda dealership to obtain the correct fluid. They performed another fluid exchange, but the problems persisted. Instead of taking responsibility, Marcus began to shift blame onto me, suggesting that I had neglected proper maintenance by not servicing the transmission at exactly 60,000 miles. Feeling deceived, I contacted the service department at IPAC Mazda. They confirmed that the recommended transmission service interval is between 60,000 and 100,000 miles, and that servicing at 98,500 miles is within responsible maintenance practices. I am beyond frustrated and feel that I have been a victim of potential fraud and dishonesty. My vehicle--our family car that carries my child's car seat--is now exhibiting significant transmission issues that were not present before Jiffy Lube serviced it. Attempts to resolve the issue have been met with deflection, and escalating the matter through corporate channels only led me back to Marcus, the very person I believe is responsible. This has been one of the most unprofessional and distressing experiences I've ever had with a service provider. I feel my trust has been violated, and I may need to pursue formal legal action to address the damage done to my vehicle. I strongly urge anyone considering services at this Jiffy Lube location to reconsider. The potential for negligence and dishonesty is too great a risk. After several years of coming here when "oil change" is on MY to-do list, I think I may switch to the Valvoline where Mr. Man takes the cars when it's his turn... This Jiffy Lube isn't heinous or anything - it's actually better than the JL location I used to use - and the staff are nice enough, but jeeeez there's ZERO sense of urgency lately, and they tend to upsell, upsell, upsell on recent visits, with seemingly little attention to detail in other areas... Take today for example... Pulled up, one other car in a bay being serviced. Requested high-mileage oil change, inspection, and that they make sure to put air in the tires (low tire light came on yesterday) and fill the washer fluid reservoir (completely out, and windshield caked with allergens...gross!) An hour and 10 minutes later (ugh!) they finally pull my "completed" car out the front of the bay, where it sits for over *another* 20 minutes before I'm asked to come check out. They first hand me someone else's inspection paper and insurance card...d'oh! They say to come back in 3000 miles. No...I ask for 5k on my "next visit" decal. As I'm driving away, I realize that my decal says to come back in 4k miles. I still don't have any wiper fluid. And it wasn't touched with a vacuum. Despite saying on my receipt that those things were completed. Eyeroll! It's those little details of convenience (coupled with former lack of upselling pressure) that have kept me coming back HERE, as opposed to either going elsewhere or learning how to do it myself. Guess it's time to go to Mr. Man's choice. Or maybe just put oil changes and such on HIS list altogether lol. read more

We visited this location today and received excellent service! We arrived just to get a inspection done, but upon inspection of our vehicle it was pointed out that we needed windshield wipers and the headlights were so clouded due to oxidation. I had planned on buying something at auto parts to try and clean them up a little. But with all going on in our lives I told Leonard to go ahead and clean them to pass inspection and to make the front of car look much better! WOW! I had my doubts how well they would turn out. But incredible for a 13 year old car, like brand new! Please if you need an oil change or anything else they offer, rest assured you will receive professional, courteous service at this location. I went in for an Inspection which costs $7. I was told by the manager (red shirt) that my driver windshield wiper was streaking and could not pass me. (I just bought it a couple weeks ago and used them to clean a bug off my windshield) I was then given 2 options, "fix it," come back within 12 days and pay $7 OR take advantage of a deal that just so happened to be going on atm. A BOGO on windshield wipers... Turning $7 into $40. I knew what they were doing but I felt I had no choice because I needed an inspection to renew my registration. read more

They do a great job and take pride in their work. They fixed our glove box that was jammed shut for years. We'd actually taken our car to other places in town to fix it and they wanted to remove the entire dash. They got it fixed in no time. I love these guys. read more

My husband and I use this Jiffy Lube for our regular oil changes and have not had any problems with them. They do go through the usual song and dance of "you are overdue for..." but always accept my answer that I would like to pass on an extra service or have already had it done elsewhere - I have never encountered a hard sell or had trouble after leaving. The staff is super polite and usually it takes about 35-45 minutes if they have other customers already in the bays when I arrive. This location can also do State Inspections and they have fair prices on small items like windshield wipers (no "labor" markup), which is super convenient. The basic oil change costs about $50, with prices increasing from there. You can find coupons on their specific website if you look up the store online that range from $5-7 off. Obviously, doing it yourself would be cheaper, but I don't mind boosting the economy and letting someone else do this task for me, especially since they give me my car back cleaner than how I brought it in (small vacuuming and windshield detailing). read more

Long time customer for simple fixes and/or oil changes at this location. Unfortunately, it's the last time I'll be doing business here. Went in for a quick Inspection Check and was assisted by Mr.Roberson. He was fast with the service but failed me for 2 issues (license plate bulb was out and taillight plate was "loose"). Neither issue could be resolved on site and he referred me to the AutoZone next door as well as to a junk yard for parts so as to fix the issues before returning. Luckily. There was a Valvoline across the street with an extremely helpful team that found no issue with a "loose" taillight plate on my vehicle and apparently were able to get my license plate bulb to work by simply tapping it. That being said, I will definitely be returning to this Valvoline location for all future auto services now. Extremely disappointed in Jiffy Lube today. read more

I just want to give a BIG shout out to all of the guys at the Jiffy Lube on Grissom Rd in San Antonio, TX. Mo, Dre, John, Isaiah and Leo...you all were phenomenal! I am a single woman in my late 40's and I showed up to the Jiffy Lube in complete distress over an upcoming move and no plans on how to get this accomplished. I needed an oil change only but, these guys were so on the ball and helpful that I walked out of there with my oil changed with better oil than previously applied from my dealer, my tires rotated, they found an issue with my tire and gave me a name to a place just less than a minute away to get it fixed and last but, not least...a call that they made for me to get my move taken care of as well. Now that is EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and going ABOVE and BEYOND for your customers!!!! read more

We took my wifes new car here for a 7500 mile oil change. The staff was super polite and showed us into the waiting room while they pulled the car in, even opening the door for us. After the car was pulled in they called us out to the computer to tell us that this vehicle needed the super extra special oil and that would be $80+, but they would give us $10 off that since that is pretty steep. We agreed and then waited for the oil change. Once it was all done they came out to tell us that in addition to the oil they had to add antifreeze coolant (to this brand new vehicle) because it appeared to be very low. We didn't understand why it would be low , but ok. We got into the vehicle and left, however once we were in the street, my wife noticed oil stains on the passenger seat, door paneling, dash etc. We took this back to the house and did all we could to clean it off but parts of the leather and upholstery were ruined. In addition to the front passenger seat these stains were on the front drivers door, back seat passenger and drivers side seats and doors...ALL OVER! Fuming angry we continued to clean but could not get it all. We decided to take it to the dealership and see If they could help and have the antifreeze leak if any checked out. They called us that evening and asked us how many oil changes we had done with the car and told them only the first one and only one at Jiffy Lube, they told is that oil was scattered throughout the undercarriage of the vehicle and turned that into a mess. They said there has been no leaks found but asked if Jiffy Lube added any antifreeze, we said yes and he told us that they screwed up and put the wrong kind in and messed up the 100k antifreeze that was in there and that they would need to do it all over again at $40 a gallon!! I went in for a state inspection, and halfway through, the mechanic comes in and tells me, "Ma'am, during inspections we check the air filter as a courtesy, and yours is filthy." He proceeds to show me an extremely dirty PAPER air filter. My husband had put in a K&N WASHABLE air filter 2 months ago, so I knew something wasn't right. He asked me if I wanted to have my filter changed, and I told him I have one at home to replace it. At this point, I thought we'd just forgotten to put the new one in. When I got home, I opened the hood to check on my filter, and there's a "Do not throw away this air filter, it's washable" sticker on the box that contains the air filter. I'm glad they didn't try to replace my filter with the dirty one to prove that they were right. I'm very disappointed that they tried to con me because I'm a 5'4 110 lb woman... read more

Ive been going to Jiffy Lubes for oil changes for years, unless I get free dealer ones. Never had a problem. I recently moved into the area so it was my first time here. Went around 0815 on a Sat and Steven and Daniel were getting it done. Took a little while since there were a few ahead of me but I was in no rush. Everyone was friendly and customer service was great. Waiting area was sparse but eh. I always have a coupon through work so it makes the price manageable. Excellent service. Been coming here for about 2 years now. This group of guys and a gal are probably the most professional mannered crew in the area... unlike their neighbors (on both sides). They are very informative on all my vehicles needs and they will try to get you in and out as quick as possible. This was by far the best experience I've had when it comes to car maintenance. I had a bad experience with Just Brakes (located next door) so I was a little hesitant with trying a new place but decided to give it a go based off the other reviews about this location. I stopped by on Friday evening and they were able to get everything taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The technician that helped me (Mr. Garcia) was very knowledgeable and took the time to show me his recommendations and pricing. He even took time to show me the oil color and filter condition as he was changing them out. This place takes coupons which is even more of a plus because I got a good amount of work done and was able to save a decent amount off my total bill. I was very pleased with the work that was done and the customer service provided to me. I can't believe I've never come here before because I live down the street but from now on this will be my first stop for car maintenance. read more
