Update 7/29/2025 So Jiffy Lube commented on my review that somebody would get in contact with us and investigate, and somebody from customer relations at Jiffy Lube called and spoke to my wife and said he was investigating what happened. He asked her for all the details. She told him everything, and he acted very concerned, said he'd investigate and get back to her. He never called back again. I don't think they actually wanted to do anything about it, they just wanted to make it look like they did when someone read the review. I believe they very much know how shady their managers are because they coach them and expect them to do that because they're out to make as much money as possible from every customer. Of course, it's a business and they're trying to make money, but when you try and cheat people you destroy your reputation, and as far as I'm concerned, that's exactly what they've done. If you don't mind way overpaying for any services you get that may or may not be needed, go there! If you want good work for a fair price, stay away! 07/01/2025 Horrible experience here on July 1st around 10 am! My wife went in for an oil change, and the grumpy and rude Manager tried to upsell her so many things that she obviously didn't need. Here's the most ridiculous: my wife asked to get her tires rotated, and he told her that the mechanic that put them on had tightened the lug nuts too much and stripped them, so they needed to be replaced. How much was he going to charge her for her tire rotation? $275! We went to a local shop the next day and the tires were rotated quickly at the regular price with no mention of any problem with the lug nuts. He also told her that her battery was just about dead and needed to be replaced for $260, but it's only a few months old and the car is starting fine. He also said she needed her rear brakes done and it was going to be $525 for that, and a coolant flush for $199; those she could probably use, but not needed today, and certainly not done by these crooks! What else will they find "wrong" once they get started? She ended up paying $180 for the oil change, cabin filter, and air filter. Overall, the manager was rude and angry, berated, and belittled his employees in front of customers, and then when my wife questioned the validity of all these things she supposedly needed and asked for a printout of his estimate, he went in his office and shut the door and refused to help her any further. She sat there waiting for a good 20 minutes and finally one of the mechanics working there apologized and said he would write everything down for her because the manager wasn't available. Jiffy Lube corporate people, if you're listening, some people are just not cut out for leadership. He needs to be replaced, or at least retrained before he destroys your reputation and loses you more customers. read more

I've gone to Jiffy Lube for several years now with 4 different vehicles. I always experienced great customer service at all locations including this one! I'm usually pretty keen on what our vehicles may need, and the services they advise me on that are due or coming due have been pretty spot on. Although it sucks having to spend so much money on bigger services like brake replacements and other items needed at certain mileage points - I get them done because it's better than having to deal with a bigger headache in the long run. When I decide to get those maintenance items done at Jiffy Lube, they provide great deals that are being offered and excellent customer service. Their staff at all the locations I've been to were respectful professional and accommodating. Today (at this location) Nate was my service advisor and he was very pleasant to deal with. If you're looking for quality service at a fair price compared to most dealerships, I highly recommend going to Jiffy Lube especially at this location! The service crew has a lot of experienced mechanics. The waiting area is nice with free water coffee and wifi. They get the job done within a reasonable amount of time. Service was super fast and efficient. I arrived at 12:45p, told the reps that I had to work at 3p. They were so accommodating. I was able to get an oil and tune up, and still made it to the Alamo Quarry with 5 minutes to spare. This is what I call service! Thanks! BEWARE!! I was a loyal customer of this store since 2020. I went there this past Monday to get a transmission fluid replacement. They charged me 249.95. Then they tell me that I needed a Mass Airflow Sensor for my 2019 Altima. They quoted me nearly $500.00!! I go online and look and see the hitachi aftermarket part is only 59.00 so I questioned why they wanted to charge so much. The guy told me (in front of entire waiting room) that they only use OEM parts, not aftermarket parts. So I called IPAC Nissan to find out what they charge for just the part, $312.00. So I told JL to go ahead and do it IF it is an original OEM part, he assured me it was and I said fine, I want to see the part and the box when it gets there, which was supposed to be about 30 minutes. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER... a part shows up, sure enough, its the cheap hitachi brand. Nothing on the box says OEM, nothing on the box says Nissan. I call the dealership and they tell me it is not an OEM part. So I told the guy I was not going to pay almost 400.00 for a 60.00 aftermarket part. Then we get into a shouting match in the waiting room in front of numerous customers while this bozo is telling me that ANY part that fits is an OEM part (lol seriously??!!), and then he tells me that they already took my car apart!! And then he says he will NOT give me back my car until I pay them a labor fee and a diagnostic fee (keep in mind I just spent nearly $300.00 there about 2 hours ago and never left!). So I asked him if the receipt was going to say it is an OEM part and he says Yes Mam! And so I pay for it and sure enough, the receipt does NOT say OEM part or anything! What a total scam! So I called PVA Group (Premium Velocity, Houston) they own these Jiffy Lubes, and of course, someone in a foreign country answers the phone lol. Then I hit them up on Facebook, two days ago, they tell me to send an email - so far, NO RESPONSE. I have contacted the District Attorney's office to file fraud charges. LUCKILY, i recorded the conversation because it started to get ugly and I knew he was lying to me and would lie to say he didn't say any of that. I am also charging back my credit card, will be notifying the news, filing a complaint with the BBB and the Texas State Department of Consumer Affairs. Out of everything, I am most pissed that he would straight up LIE like that! I am not having it! I guess these thugs think because I am a female that I am stupid. Cannot believe they tried to hold my car hostage after RIPPING ME OFF like that! Now that I know what liars they are, I will bet anything I didn't even need a MAF. I've been a loyal customer since 2020 but however I will not be going back to any jiffy lube. Last time i went in for an oil change, they said I need my rear brakes pads needed to be changed because the line was gone. Come to find out my brakes are just fine and the line is still there. As well as my window shield wipers when they just replaced them in December. That's telling me they are selling faulty parts that don't last. If your women don't go alone they will lie and say things need to be fix when they don't. This the last time I give them a chance. Since they told me my car battery was fine and didn't need to be replaced then it died the next day. That was in california and Texas is no better. Better off going to independent owner instead of a chain service. read more

I usually get my oil changed at 10-minute oil change places and don't usually expect much of a conversation other than what the vehicle needs and the cost. Upon arrival at this location, Paul greeted me, walked me over to the waiting area, and genuinely seemed interested in ensuring all my questions were answered. He did not push me to purchase anything I was not interested in buying and worked with his team to provide the exact service I had requested. I was in & out of there within 20 minutes. I was told from Jerry that he would tell the manager that I needed the tire to be ordered and failed to do so. now I have to wait another day for my tired that should have been ordered and let known to the manager. Been coming here for years, and quite frankly every 2-3 months due to the amount of driving I do. I've experienced great service on oil changes, inspections, A/C repairs, flushes to name a few and the costs are pretty reasonable. Staff is truthful, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to say the least! It's not often you come to a business and witness a welcoming positive environment. I have used Jiffy Lube for many years without issue. My recent experience on Potranco Road is one that I hope corporate doesn't support. I went in for just an oil change on my 2016 F250. I sat in my vehicle during service. Everything was fine until manager showed me the drain plug from my differential saying "you have metal particle on the drain plug and it needs to be serviced, we can do it now for $159". I told him it should look like that as I wiped the oil off the plug to show him there weren't large pieces (normal gear wear) and I would do it myself. I asked the technician who gave him permission to pull the drain plugs and he said that's just what they do now to all cars. So now my truck that has never had a leak is leaking dif oil on my brand new concrete. I am not sure if there is oil in the differential now. Don't trust these folks anymore. They act like my vehicle is there property when you pull in. Shady. read more

If I could leave a zero I would. I asked for an oil change only. I was presented with my air filter that did need changing. They at the same time presented a rear differential plug and said my diff oil was burnt and needed replacing. I specifically approved the air filter and declined the rear differential service. They did it anyway. When I got my bill at $578 I lost my shit. They did work that was not only unnecessary but most importantly not approved. They were quick to take off the cost, which makes me wonder if they really did anything. read more

Don't get your state inspection here!!!! They will find something mysteriously wrong with your vehicle and make you pay. SPECIFICALLY Homero (state inspector) gave me an attitude and made fun of my ability to properly install my own windshield wipers which they were going to charge me $50+ dollars to do. I went to autozone by myself and put it on for less than $30. When I went back to get a "PASS" on my inspection he asked who put the wipers on bc they're wrong. Regardless - don't come here. Just went in to get my Ram 3500 oil change done. After the initial look at the truck, the guy comes in to do the usual upsell speech for other recommended services. I say no to most of them, but agree to the front gear differential fluid being changed, because it I did know it was actually way overdue, and he offered $80 off the price. The last price quote on the screen that I agreed to for both services was just over $200. Can't remember exactly, $210 at the most. Only reason I agreed to it was because it seemed like a great deal. Once the truck was done, the guy rang me up for over $500 and said they did the front gear diff and the transfer case fluid for the 4x4. I told him I did not agree to the transfer case being done, and the last price quote I agreed to was that $210 price point. He apologized and said he thought I wanted both gear boxes done, and took off $140. The total was still around $360. I didn't want to argue anymore, but somehow my total was still $150 more than what I had last agreed to. I hate going to these places, especially since I am capable of doing all this myself. Strongly recommend having the manager take leadership and customer service training. Does not know how to effectively communicate issues and handle customer care directly. Brought both my cars to get them registered in Texas and the process couldn't have been any easier.

Came in today to get a State Inspection. It was moderately busy, but an attendant came to my vehicle to greet me within 5 minutes. Asked me to wait outside (weird) or inside the waiting area. This is a new location and wanted to give it a chance. The inside waiting area was clean and all technicians were wearing masks. Not bad, only constructive feedback I could give the location is work on the professionalism lingo. Just cause a few of you look like you did some prison time doesn't mean you can't be professional. (Employee or two walked past me without a greeting or even eye contact, weird) All in all, I want to say thanks to Michael G. for doing his best. He was my inspection tech and was very respectful and worked fast. I'll come back again to try their oil services in the near future. read more

The reason I gave it 3 stars is that I have to call back because the state had not received information that inspection was complete the initial call was answered by an Eric who was extremely rood he ended up hanging up on me. Do NOT come here for state inspections, I have never been prompted to pop the hood for an inspection and have them fiddle around under the hood & FAIL me for a leaky power steering reservoir. That is NOT a reason to fail an inspection. Straight crooks here. Wanted me to pay $700 to have it fixed to pass. We know cars in my family, checked ourselves and saw nothing wrong. I just have to say, I HATE getting my oil changed. There's always a wait, I never remember what type of oil I need to use and most places push replacing air filters, fluid flushes, tire rotations, or something else to jack that price up. But not here, I was helped quickly, very professionally and the customer service is top notch. I was told up front it would be a 45 minute wait. I waited maybe 20 minutes AND got my vehicle inspection done, too. I definitely recommend these guys. Oh, and I was able to use several coupons they offer online. I really never do this but i DO NOT RECOMMEND this jiffy lube. I went for a state inspection with a brand new car and right away without even saying hello, the employee said my windshield wiper was messed up. Its a brand new car. I went up the road to a polos mechanic shop and they assisted me perfectly and i got my state inspection within 10 mins. read more

I have never been to a Jiffy Lube, but since this one just opened and given the current pandemic, and Walmart being closed, I thought I would support local business. I told them I was there for an oil change only and provided my exact oil used, which is high miles and was told it would be $44.95 for a conventional oil change. Slightly more then Walmart but no problem. I was told it would be 15 mins and they would call when it was ready. An hour later, no call. I go to the shop, where I am the only person and told someone would be with me. 12 mins later someone strolls in and says it will be $77.00. I discussed the conversation I had with the person I dropped with the vehicle with and he said it was due to the high mile oil. Complete and utter bs. They pull you in and switch it on you. They gave me a $5.00 discount which was only offered after I got heated. I paid and left. I will NEVER use another Jiffy Lube again. They also offered to do my brakes. In reading the estimate, they also upcharged the estimate. No reason just a button they pres to up the price. Nice way to support customers who aren't even getting paid at the moment and having to budget everything we can. read more

I just tried to get a state inspection from this jiffy lube. The guy told me there was one car that was ahead of me and it was coming around so if I could please reverse my car just slightly so they can pull it in. I did and he said that the spot I had it in was perfect and I could go inside. A black Jeep Cherokee comes speeding around and swerves up alongside me and this Hispanic woman with bleached hair and a black shirt has the window rolled down and starts aggressively waving me to reverse and I'm confused because there is about 2 cars length of distance for her to pull into the bay. I reverse back some more and she is still aggressively waving at me and telling me to move and I'm getting angry like "where do you want me to move?? There's more than enough room and this is where the guy told me to go!" She finally drives forward, very aggressively and almost hits the curb, after I'm almost 4 car lengths from the bay, pulls into the bay AND THEN I REALIZE SHE WORKS THERE AND THAT WAS A CUSTOMERS CAR SHE WAS DRIVING CRAZY. I went inside with my sister and was like "I do not feel comfortable with her driving my car or being in my car after that interaction" so we got back in the car and just left. Service member told me she couldn't pass my state inspection because my brake fluid was lower than manufacture's recommended level. Said she could replace it for $120. When I told her we'd take care of it, she said I could come back when it was done so she could pass the inspection. (Someone has since told me brake fluid level is not required inspection - I wouldn't know) I left thinking I had work to do on my vehicle in order to pass, but when I checked the DMV, my inspection was passed and current. She left an unsigned copy of my passing inspection in my vehicle. It was a clearly an attempt to get money from me and her leading me to believe I did not pass, when she knew it did. I can only assume the incentives or quotas required of the staff mean shady business practices like this. I won't be going back. read more
