I went to get an oil change, turned out I needed more maintenance on my car, worked for a week and a half and then another issue happened. I took it back there and they found the issue. I declined service and picked up my car. While I was working on the car I noticed a few days later that my right lug nut key and lug nut are missing. I go back two times to talk to someone about it and they claim they didn't have anything to do with it even though it shows that they had to check the lug nuts on the invoice. They were the last shop I went to and they are really claiming that it's not their problem. read more

Very confused by the good reviews for this place. When I arrived, the employees were having an argument outside. When I finally found my way inside, I explained to them I wanted a 15k mile service done, the technician said "um, I've never heard of that" and walked away. Eventually they did my service and tried to tell me I needed my cabin air filter replaced (which, I didn't. I keep track of the timeline and I'd just had it replaced). I told them I didn't need it replaced and the mechanic attempted to "show" me buildup where there was none, as though I didn't just call them out for lying. And after they did my fuel system flush, they damaged a component in my fuel system that I'm now having to pay $1k to replace at a different shop. I refuse to go back to this shop to have them replace it because I don't want them touching my vehicle again. Oh, AND, they left a tool inside my vehicle (which they've done more than once, I noticed it in other reviews) and left it covered in their greasy handprints. No attention to detail, no follow through. This place sucks. read more

I stopped by this place to get the oil changed on my vehicle and they were prompt, honest and professional. They informed me as to some of the recommended services and offered to do them as part of my visit but were not pushy about getting them done right this minute as some other places may be. It really is difficult to find a good, honest place to take your vehicle but this place is definitely one of those places and one which I will continue to patron. I came in today for an oil change. I was serviced within 15 minutes which was very quick. The technicians noticed I had an oil leak and recommended my car get an inspection. Turns out I had some work that needed to be done. The total cost for repairs was a bit above my budget at the moment but Dameon and Devin were able to work with me and work out a price that fit my situation. Runnnnnn!! They told me my car needed a part which cost me $700 plus. Less than a week later my car started doing the exact same thing it was doing prior to them installing the $700 part. I immediately took it back to express. They told me that they needed to keep my car for at least 4hrs therefore I left work early the following day and took it to them. They kept my car for 4hrs and didn't even look at. I lost out on 6hr of pay in total because I had to go to work late one day and leave early on the day they needed to inspect it in order to pinpoint why the $700 replacement part was performing like the old throttle body part. They then told me that they needed to keep my vehicle for an entire day to pinpoint the problem. In the beginning when they told me it was the throttle body I told them it couldn't be because I just replaced it less than a year ago. I explained to them prior to them replacing the old part with a dealership part that I think it only needed the pedal (per my busy mechanic). They convinced me it didn't. Fast forward and I took my car to someone else and they said all it needed was the pedal. Two weeks later and my car is running great and operating like new again. Also when I was taking my lyft home from the shop the driver said that he picks up so many people from Express that have the same experience as me and they all be upset just like me. Btw I would've kept fighting with them but life is too short and they had already wasted my valuable time and money and as a woman all I saw them doing was wasting more of my time and costing me more money. I will never go there again not even for an oil change and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I never leave reviews, but I'm frustrated with this place. I have been a customer there since I moved to Alamo Ranch in 2015. My husband husband took my car here this morning and after AN HOUR LATER, they tell him they can't fix the hole and that we have to buy FOUR new tires. The tires are not old, and the nail is in a patchable place. We were CLEARLY trying to be scammed. After leaving frustrated, he went to another shop where they patched the hole and sent him on his way. $18 later and they said nothing about the integrity of the tire and they didn't even mention buying a new one. I'm disgusted with this place and will be taking it the BBB. This is it okay!!! read more

Heather ran out to greet me before I could even stop my car. She had me pull up behind another car for an oil change and JR immediately came out to have me pull around to a different open bay. Trenton got my information as JR and another guy (manager, maybe??) started working on my car. Trenton explained the three options including pricing and mileage and that my engine has "ecotec" on it and explain what that meant as far as suggested oil types. There were 2-3 people working on each of the three vehicles there and two managers walking around and checking vehicles. They did a "rev test" and checked my tire pressure, headlights, taillights, brake lights, and signals before letting me leave. I was there for maybe 10 minutes. 10/10 recommend this place. I was blown away with the service here. Highly recommend. I went here for a random request. I needed to loosen a very, very tight and rusted bolt from my lawnmower blade. I spent an hour trying to remove it in my own and after failing, I came thinking their power tools would be a quick fix. The manager, Josh, used a ratchet and his own strength to remove the bolt. He chose not to use a power tool since it could break the bolt and make it a bigger problem. I asked how much for this service, and he refused to charge. I insisted in at least giving him $20 in cash, and he insisted that he's just here to help and take care of the customer. I left feeling guilty that I was so lucky to have received this kind of service for nothing in return. And excited to pay the good deed forward on my next opportunity. A month ago my husband brought his truck here for an oil change. He has been taking his truck to this facility or a few years now and never had a problem. But I don't think we will ever take another vehicle to them. My husband brought his truck in with approximately 47,000 miles on his truck. When the tech put his information in to the system, they reported his truck had over 100,000 miles on it. My husband didn't notice until he left and was at the red light and turned around and went back. He told the tech that they put the wrong mileage and it needed to be fixed. The tech tried to tell him that it was no big deal and they would just fix his paperwork. He told them no that the mileage needed to be corrected otherwise it would cause problems if he tried to sell or trade in the truck. Supposedly they fixed it. Today he got his CARFAX report and they in fact did not fix the mileage. CARFAX is currently reporting that his truck has 135,000 which is completely incorrect because his odometer shows 48,300 miles. Now they say there is nothing they can do and we have to go thru CARFAX and dispute it and hope that CARFAX calls the facility to confirm. And we have to hope that whoever gets the call is aware of the situation and does the right thing. If you choose to get service thru this location PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FACILITY UNTIL YOU DOUBLE CHECK ALL YOUR INFORMATION INCLUDING THE MILEAGE!!! read more

DO NOT COME HERE! This place is a SCAM! Go anywhere else. Took my car in to do a standard oil change. Car was FINE. Nothing wrong with it prior to the visit. Low mileage as well. Not even an hour into driving my car after the oil change, a loud ticking sound started occurring and the car started shaking to the point I had to pull over. Called them to say what's going on and they said to tow the car to them and if it was caused by them they would reimburse the towing fee. A day later, not only did they say it wasn't their fault they then said here's a bill for close to 2k cause of the damages that happened during the oil change.... because we were 5,000 miles over their "recommended time" to get the oil changed. I don't know much about cars but that made no sense to me and I spoke with people from other car places and it didn't add up for them either. GM said he would "meet me halfway" and reimburse the $165 towing fee if I paid the 2k for the repairs that they messed up in the first place. What a joke. Then they take my truck to the tire ramp and it sits there for an hour plus. They had someone there working that side, then they leave. Meanwhile, I see 10 plus vehicles in and out efficiently for oil changes. I inquired, and was told they are short of people for the tire side. All I needed was a tire rotation. They have no problem getting the drive ups in and out but if you go with an appointment, you are forgotten. Again, if all you want is an oil change, great. Anything else, go elsewhere. They could have told me from the start how they operate and that oil changes take priority. I would have settled for the oil change and that would have been it. read more

And yes that all I had done and it seriously took that long. Were you filling the car up with an eye dropper?!? We have been long time customers of Express Oil and the last 2 oil changes we received from them were horrible. 1st one on my way home hear massive thud, thought I blew a tire, pulled over and it was my skid plate. They didn't put it back on right. Had to go back to the store and have them put it on correctly. Next oil change I got before a cross country road trip on July 15th. July 19th I was in the middle of NM and I hear a noise outside my car. It was concerning, so I pulled over and look under my car and the skid plate is hanging on by one screw. I had to get underneath the car on a two lane road and try to unscrew it from one screw. Then i had to travel with the greasy, dirty skid plate for the rest of my trip. As soon as I got home I went to the store, explained what happened, they took the skid plate and said they'd replace it. it is now almost Thanksgiving and I have yet to have a new one put on since the old one was so badly damaged. I call the store, talk to the manager Rob and he always tells me he'll call me with an update and never does. Last two times I've called he hasn't been there, I leave messages and never hear from anyone!! I've been driving with out a skid plate since July and seems like they will never replace it. I would not do business with them. The thousands of $$$ we have poured into their business over the years means nothing to them. read more

I was 3rd in line to have the service done mind u I waited since about 1230pm When it finally my turn around 2pm I waited patiently but it was passed 3pm and they said they are waiting for some more parts ?? Ridiculous and bad time management!!! they could have updated their costumer as soon as they found out about a missing part they ordered so that the costumer can make a decision if they are still willing to wait or not.. long story short I'm so upset and disappointment about their poor time management and costumer service.I think it's time to look for a newer location for oil change that's much closer and more convenient!!! read more

This tire shop is rude and lie a lot. I bought several tires here, each time they lie and say that I didn't get warranted. The manager kicked me out of the shop after sharing my frustration. He kept making it about him and claiming I was rude to him when I was simply letting him know that I purchased a warranty. The guy does not know basic customer service. Talk about gaslighting at its finest, they mistreat you and make you think you're the crazy one. As a customer, I have a right to complain and it's your job to correct the mistake. Every complaint that I made turned into accusations and saying things like, he wasn't there when I bought the last tire. I had to keep telling him that this not about him but about their failure to honor a tire warranty. By the way, it states that all your new tires have a warranty. This person has no business being a manager! All their good mechanics have left. For failure to honor tire warranty as advertised, I'm filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

I've been coming here for about 2 years for this particular vehicle. I'm not sure why they said it's a 10 minute oil change because it most certainly is not. I've usually had to wait at least 15 minutes in line after being greeted. But, I say that to say this....they are busy for a reason. They have a lot of business! The customer service I receive here is awesome! From the time I'm greeted to the time they guide me out of the bay. So I don't mind waiting, they tell me everything they are doing to my vehicle. While the technicians are underneath working, they are in the bay topping off my fluids, cleaning my windshield, lubing the hinges in the door, etc. They never try to up-sell anything to me like the dealership does. He made a recommendation but it was something I already knew I needed to change. My check engine light was on so they hooked up the machine to it and found some fail points, he asked me about some work I recently had done and explained why the check engine light was on. He did not let me leave until it was reset and said if I had any issues to bring it back and they will hook it back up to the machine again. He explained to me about VWs and their computer systems, Damarerais (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) was very helpful and took the time to answer all my questions even though they were very busy. They also check all the lights, the horn, turn signals and wipers. They show you the old and new oil on the dipstick and reset your service mileage on the dash. They are very thorough and the fact I do not have to get out of my car makes it even better. I always bring my vehicle here for inspections and oil changes since they are convenient to my house and offer amazing customer service. My oil change runs about $55.00 though, no biggies I'll be back in 3,000 miles. read more

I normally go here for oil changes and have had an great experience oil change wise 5 stars. If I could rate it less than 1 star I would for brake service. I took my car in for standard service this week and found out the rear brake line was not put in its holder. The same with the front brake line. It rubbed against the tire in return causing a complete brake hose failure. Also caused it to get air in the system. Definitely not going back for brake anymore brake service. Friendly. Had my rear brakes serviced, and front replaced. Brought my van back because they were squeaking "loudly". The technician said he didn't hear any squeaking and sometimes depending on the "blah, blah,blah", they just do that. So he cleaned them up stating that was probably the issue. They weren't doing that before I had them serviced. They found more stuff I need to fix and gave me an estimate for that, but I'm still driving around with loud squeaky brakes. Ridiculous. Never again. UPDATE *** Went back to my old mechanic (never should have gone anywhere else...recently moved so I was trying to find a reliable mechanic close by)...anyway, they showed me the brake work that they said was done well but that the technician did not add lube which is why I heard the grinding and squeaking. Point of the story.... should have made the drive to EC Quality Car Care on Babcock. Thanks again Lou...you guys are great!!! Also...did I mention that they didn't charge me a dime, added the lube the other guys forgot, brought me back into the garage, explained everything to me, and never talked over my head. Very fast and friendly service and comparable prices. However today's experience was not the most efficient. Being that I just took our other vehicle for an oil change at a competitor yesterday and the experience was five stars. For example l, they didn't rotate tires, adjust fluid levels (like windshield washer), ensure tire pressure was good, and check any of the air filters and Normal mileage checks were done. Their competitor did all of that without having to ask for it and I was actually in and out much faster. The gentlemen helping me today said he would give me a $5 military discount but never applied it when he rang me out. The competitor offers 15% which comes out to about $13-15 dollars depending on quarts added of oil. So overall I will not be coming back here, and they're not open on Sundays which is why I went somewhere else in the first place. Lastly, not to be rude or mean but the gentleman who was helping me reeked of BO I almost Threw up in the car. read more

This really deserves 0 stars. Pulled up to get vehicle inspected. Was told they would be with us in a few minutes. We waited 40 minutes and still didn't get an inspection done. In that time we watched the manager get out of the vehicle that was in the process of being inspected in front of us and flirt with a girl picking up her vehicle. He also messed around talking to another guy picking up his vehicle. Someone else came into another bay and had their oil changed and left while we were still sitting there waiting.
