TJ is the man!!!! I work customer service and TJ the manager set a new standard for what customer service is. I took my car to Les Shwab for new breaks and rotors etc. It turns out I was missing my break fluid cap and couldn't do the work without it. The only work I've had done on my car in the past few months has been an oil change and some trips to les shwab. Most recently 3 trips to Les Schwab. They couldn't replace the cap and couldn't do the work. I rattled my brain and thought "maybe jiffy lube left it off last I was in?" I go to jiffy lube and met TJ, he assures me that he doesn't believe that it happened there. He walks over to Les Schwab with me and tries to help me out. We Les Schwab says it'll be 300$ to replace the entire system because they can't get me a cap. TJ hunter one down in Renton, he ordered it and picked it up himself and got it to me the next morning. This place is a joke. They were $60 MORE than any other place I've been to and it took longer than their "15 minute" window. I asked for a detailed invoice and half of it was cut off with all the pricing. I then asked for another copy and the girl that works there just looked at me with a blank stare as if I spoke a different language. She then asked the manager (who was eating greasy Chinese all over her desk) to print the copy. She couldn't figure out how the printer works and then hand wrote everything down. I got told they couldn't get the drain plug off to change the oil, so i left and was going to have the dealer do it. The next day the belly pans on my car came loose on the highway. Many hundreds of dollars later they won't own up and reimburse me for the damage they caused. They even lied in small claims court that i never got my car looked at by them. read more

Just came from the store purchased a few grocery items and bras and panties. when I got back in my car I noticed the bags had been rearranged. Then I noticed a beer missing from the six pack. I went inside to talk to someone and was ignored. After telling the young lady, who initially helped me, that a beer was missing she said" I can assure you that no one here took it." My response was, "I assure you that there were six beers when I got here" Then two of her coworkers giggle and say something to this guy who was under a car being serviced, and then they all walked away After I got home I discovered several clothing items were missing as well. If you would have asked me to rate this Jiffy Lube a year ago, I possibly would have given it 3 or 4 stars. I had been a customer of theirs for at least 6-7 years. I've dealt with the typical annoyances - the upsells, telling me a part was broken when it wasn't, reminding them I don't need to pay the disposal fee. It's common knowledge it's overpriced - but since I never can plan ahead to get an oil change at the lesser expensive places (and JL can always get me in), I deal with it. The service has always been decent enough to return - and some of the guys there are really nice and helpful. However, I am so irritated about this place (and I gave myself 7 hours to cool off before writing this) and their business practices. Today is the second time where I have received a special offer in the mail and they didn't honor it (one was due to a misprint - a misprint that was a difference of $20 - thanks for telling me AFTER I got my oil change) and then today where I was supposed to receive 50% off on my third oil change in a row. Since I always go there I figured they would have record of all my past oil changes and didn't need the card. Not only did I need the card but they said the offer was no longer valid (????). Because I didn't get all the oil changes within a certain time frame they wouldn't give me the 50% off special (I only drive about 600 miles a month - I don't need oil changes every 3 months). One of the guys (I don't know his name - but he was super nice, bald?) asked his supervisor (who had an attitude) to give me a discount. Attitude guy offered to take $10 off. However, since I have an SUV it ends up being $31. Sorry, $31 is not $21.00, the amount it should have been. I told them 'no thanks', backed my car up and told them they just lost a customer. Attitude guy just stood there, said he was sorry and basically waved goodbye. Yep, goodbye Jiffy Lube. After spending approx. $600-$700 at your establishment and being a very loyal customer, I am going to go elsewhere where someone will appreciate my hard earned money. Funny enough, my four year old was in the car and said "those guys are bad". That about sums it up. read more

FEMALES BEWARE!!! It is because of this location that i will NEVER go to another Jiffy Lube ever again! I used to get my oil changed at Jiffy Lube all the time. I was happy to find on when I moved to West Seattle. But when I took my car in to get serviced, I realized that only scumbags worked here! When my car was finished, it was pulled out of the garage and around the corner. The guy who had checked me out, walked me around the corner to where my car was parked, where he opened the door for me and harassed me for my phone number! I was incredibly uncomfortable and even after I told the guy that I was not interested and I was engaged, he proceeded to tell me how he is a "better man" than my fiance. After finally shaking the guy and closing my door to my car, I got out of there as fast as I could. After leaving this place, I felt so incredibly violated by how I was treated at this business establishment, I came home and called Jiffy Lube's customer service line. I told the representative about how I was just treated, she then passed it on to the manager of the store who was supposed to contact me, but no one ever did. I can not believe men are treating women this way, especially since I was a paying customer of their business. Makes me sick. And how Jiffy Lube handled the situation is why I will never go to any of their shops again! read more

My experience was less than stellar. I decided to let them change wiper blades in addition to the oil change. Offered to Rain-X my windshield too so I said, "Yes". As I drove away in the rain, I thought it odd that my new wipers left tracks on my windshield just like the old ones. Stopped at Costco later and bought new blades. After installing myself, windshield wiped clear again. Also, they did not clean the windshield before applying Rain-X and hardly put anything on. Water barely beaded. Waste of time and money. When you get "service" like this, how can you trust that they even changed the oil? read more

Upon arrival at this particular Jiffy Lube, I informed the employee that all I wanted was an oil change and nothing else. After again trying to get me to try their all inclusive service, I again informed him that all i wanted was the oil change, filter and nothing else. After 3 different employees tried to get me to upgrade and/or buy something else, I got my oil change. However, when finally paying the bill, i noticed that they overcharged me for an additional quart of oil. Even the employee who was trying to take my debit card said that this truck only takes four quarts. Now the employee who first talked with me comes over and informs both of us that this truck takes five quarts, saying that "Toyota builds these trucks to last forever, that's why these trucks take an additional quart of oil." He then looks at me and the other employee and winks. So long story short, I've changed the oil on this truck many times, and know for a fact that it only uses four quarts. But I decide to double check, and go home and read my owners manual, and even look on the internet at Toyota's web site. I'm right and he's either lying, or has overfilled my truck. I check the dip stick and it's right on the money. This employee (tall dark man, with dark combed back hair, between thirty and forty years of age), obviously lied. Came in for a simple oil change and got pressured into Synthetic Oil change, I told three different people I had a 10% discount coupon to apply and each person assured me it was applied. Checked my receipt when I got home and of course, NO DISCOUNT APPLIED. This is the second time these guys have done this to me. Extremely skeptical of the honesty of this location. read more

Had an oil change at this location immediately before starting a cross country road trip, which they knew about. The technicians replaced the plug gasket without our knowledge or consent. 2 hours into the trip we were stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours waiting for a tow and the car is now in need of a new engine thanks to their incompetence - verified by signed affidavit of the mechanic who DID help us after our breakdown. We've attempted contact in every way possible and the manager and general manager dodge our calls and don't return messages. So new engine +$4000, tow $300, rental car to finish the trip $1200...not using this Jiffy Lube PRICELESS. read more

Do not bring your vehicle to jiffy lube for an oil change. I had my oil changed by a jiffy lube in Spokane when passing through town. Since that oil change ( 3 weeks ago) my car has been continuously leaking oil. The computer on the car confirms this. I brought my car in to the jiffy lube in the junction so the problem that jiffy lube caused could be fixed. The manger at jiffy lube refused to investigate the problem and claimed it is simply spillage from when the oil was last changed. So now I have to go to the dealership to see if they can troubleshoot the problem jiffy lube caused in the first place. Getting my oiled change at jiffy lube is costing me extra time and $$$ in the long run. Should have gone to the dealership to get my oil changed in the first place. Lesson learned. I have no faith in a jiffy lube and I will not be returning. I encourage you to do the same. read more

Oooooooo I never write bad reviews, I always try to be positive, but these guys deserve MINUS stars. So irritated about this. Okay, my tire light came on to tell me I had low tire pressure and I would usually go to Les Schwab to see if they could make sure all my tires are aired and the tire pressure is okay on all of them, but sadly they were closed. Jiffy Lube just happened to be open in West Seattle, I WAS a regular customer so maybe they could just air up my tires. When I pulled up there they were just standing around, NO ONE WAS THERE. They had no customers so I asked if they wouldn't mind airing up my tires, they looked a little perturbed about it but said okay, so they all went around and put air in my tires and the guy said, well the light should go off in 15 or 20 miles or so, but they are all aired up now. Well, I had to drive down to Centralia and off the beaten path to a very secluded area, over a 100 mile drive back and saw that the light didn't go off. ALSO that they tire still looked low. Well, today I took it to Les Schwab before they closed and I wanted to check for a slow leak because surely they just filled it up and now it's gone down again? Well the very nice man at the tire store told me that ALL the tires were low and no one had put air in the tires. SOOOoooo the guys at Jiffy Lube were probably upset that I didn't want an oil change and just wanted air in my tires. I have NO idea why they would have done that, if they had looked me up they would have known that I was a regular customer and even if I wasn't? Telling me that they had aired the tires up and let me drive on them when they were low?? That is dangerous. Well, they have lost this customer and all of my friends on FB won't be going back there either. I know someone might think this is petty, but that was not responsible and I could have had a flat on the highway OR been stranded in the middle of no where when it was 22 degrees F down by Centralia, not something to mess around with!!! I was so disgusted by their "customer service" I would give them less stars if I could. I pulled in and they clearly had a bell that rung when I pulled up but I had to get out of my car and stand there before someone finally noticed me. Noted: I had called ahead to ask about dropping my car off for an oil change which I have done at numerous Jiffy Lube locations and the gal on the phone said it was fine as long as I picked it up by closing. Duh. The gentlemen who greeted if you even call it a greeting refused to listen to me and kept pointing towards the waiting room and said we will be with you when it is done. I repeated myself to say I had just spoken with a co-worker who okayed me to come and drop off he then interrupted me to point at the parking lot which had cars parked all sorts of cricked and over the lines to say, "you can clearly see were obviously full so you will have to wait for it to be done" he than walked away mid sentence pointing at office for me to go there. Telling another gentlemen to "go deal with this lady." It was so unprofessional! by then I said never mind I will go somewhere else and this NICE guy actually came over and said hello there, and can I help you mam? I repeated to tell him they would take my car as a drop off and that I was going some where else. As I am about to drive away he said, "We could have taken your car for drop off as long as you are purchasing an oil change." SERIOUSLY!!! lol I just laughed and said No thank you, and please tell the gentlemen over there to learn customer service. So terrible, felt so disrespected. Terrible, stay far away and safe time and money and then more time. Zero stars is not an option on yelp. My wife took her car here on Thursday. By Sunday morning her oil light was on and her car didn't have any oil. Had to buy oil just to make it there some they could fix it. Then they wanted her to drive home to get her receipt. I made the mistake of going there over the weekend. I have now a slower leak. Oil spots in different places at home and work. I went in and they looked for less than 5 minutes and said it's not leaking and if it's still leaking later to take it to a full service place. read more

Went to get an slow oil leak checked out and the guy told me that the bottom of my car was really bad and recommended I just buy a new car.

They did not have my oil filter. They suggested that I buy one at a local auto parts store. Cost $15, only credited me $10. Plus had $10 coupon, but total credit only came to $20. Decided to proceed since still $5 discount, but will not be going back. read more

$75 for an OIL CHANGE?!!! Wow, I'll not go back to Jiffy Lube if I can help it. My garage was booked and I needed to have my oil changed last minute...so I went to Jiffy Lube for the first (and last) time. I've NEVER paid so much for an oil change, ever. The mechanic was nice enough...and even took $10.50 off the total for me (I told him I was shocked at the high prices). He assured me the job was "worth it" with the type of oil used and checking/topping off fluids, etc. This is always done at the other garages I've ever gone to...and their prices aren't near this. I'll not go back, that's for sure. Crazy high prices! And they advertise $29.99 all over the outside of the place!! read more

I have gone here a couple of times for oil changes with no issues, quickly got in and out. But last week I pulled up and asked for another oil change, before I could even give them my keys they said I was on a "no service" list. I had no idea what they were talking about since no one mentioned any problems after my last oil change. They claimed I had a cracked oil pan from last time (about 6 months ago) and said I needed to go to a full service mechanic. I said no one told me that last time, there's no oil leaking, they just shrugged their shoulders. So I went to my mechanic and told him the story. Apparently they stripped out the bolt holding the oil pan in place last time, and instead of telling me, they glued it back so it wouldn't leak. Of course now I can't get my oil changed because it's glued shut. So I'm paying my mechanic about $100 to fix this and now getting my oil changed with him. They were completely dishonest, did not tell me what actually happened, and if the oil had leaked it would've destroyed my engine. It might seem convenient and cheap, but I will never use this place again, it's going to cost much more than if I had just paid an honest mechanic for my oil change in the first place. Ever since I've come here it's the only Jiffy Lube location I go to! They're always extremely fast and efficient. Every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly and helpful. They're informative without making me feel pressured to add additional services and expenses. And they vacuum my car out every time! I highly recommend avoiding this place. I used to frequent this W.Seattle facility on a regular basis but the last 2 visits have gone poorly. I have a 2008 Infiniti that requires 2 filters when doing an oil change. In each case they said they only had 1 filter in stock yet they tried charging me for 2 filters so I had to remind them to fix the bill after arguing with them. Additionally, on the most recent visit a few days ago, I noticed a lot of oil leaking from my car following the service and was told my transmission was leaking. I took my car to the dealership and this was not the issue at all - it appears the Jiffy Lube mechanic didn't remove the pan under the oil tank when changing the oil (a required step on Infiniti cars). As a result, I had oil leaking from my vehicle. While this didn't cause any damage per the dealership they didn't do the job right from the get-go. Based on these issues I won't be going back. read more

Edited Review: I moved my rating from 1 star to 4 stars after the follow up I received. Backstory: I went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change, and before driving away discovered oil on my interior passenger seat and car door. At the time, I was quite disappointed how it was handled. There did not seem to be a way for them to resolve the situation, and were even hesitant to admit fault. However, the next day I received a call from the manager and district manager- apologizing for how the situation was handled. They were genuinely concerned with making the experience right and apologizing for the situation, which was, for all purposes- just a simple mistake that needed to be solved. Everyone makes mistakes- it is just a matter of making them right, which is what this business has done. They refunded my oil service, offered a free one in the future and offered to pay for my car detailing to get the staining out. I give it four stars for these reasons: professional service provided by the associate at check in and check out, and the management's follow up. I just cannot give it 5 stars because of the time involved with resolving the issue. read more

I have always expected to receive basic service at Jiffy and usually avoid going to these stations. I drive a Lexus and I usually go to the Lexus Dealer for these services because I trust them. I just moved to Seattle, and needed an oil change immediately. I didn't have time to make an appointment at the dealership so I pulled into the West Seattle Jiffy Lube out of desperation. Imagine my surprise when I got out of the car and immediately started receiving quick friendly service. The waiting room was packed, but the techs working that day were amazing. The staff seemed to work very well together. It was no time before they had my car in the bay. They did not try to pressure me on extra devices. They showed me my manufacturer's recommendations and let me make the decision. They did a great job checking everything, changing the oil, and vacuuming. (Believe me I was watching closely). I was pleasantly surprised. I will go back to this Jiffy Lube again. read more

Took a new suburban and older explorer in on separate occasions, both experiences were excellent. The team was friendly, knowledgable and efficient. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT GET YOUR OIL CHANGED AT THIS JIFFY LUBE LOCATION. I went there for a routine oil change and a month later, my oil plug fell out because the negligent staff failed to screw it in all the way. The plug fell out while I was driving down a busy road and all of the oil in my car drained on to the street. Luckily, I was close to home when this happened and didn't need immediate roadside assistance. Shortly after this ordeal, I had to have my car towed to this location so they could re-do the bad oil change and then I had to take my car to a mechanic to check the engine for any damage caused by driving on low oil. The tow and the inspection were not cheap and I had to wait 2 months for the reimbursement. Not only were the staff at this location condescending and unapologetic, but the franchise manager was unprofessional and unresponsive and could only be reached by email. I had a terrible experience dealing with these people and you couldn't pay me to get my oil changed there again. Do yourself a favor, pay a little extra money and get your oil changed by a professional. The couple of bucks I saved at Jiffy Lube wasn't worth this long drawn out ordeal that almost destroyed my car. read more

I went here today for an oil change and everything was great. I called in advance, afraid that they would be busy today and not able to finish up in time for me to make it to another appointment. They assured me that they could work me in, and they definitely did. The entire process took about 10 minutes, the service was friendly and affordable, and they did not perform any services without my permission (and quoted me the price first). My mother's car was leaking oil at around 2:00 pm on a Sunday. I was worried that she wouldn't be able to get to work on Monday so I took her car in here to check for leaks with minimal other options open. I ended up explaining the situation to the tech who asked if I wanted a "Leak Check and Top Off" to which I agreed. Later on I was asked if I wanted to change the oil since the computer said it was time so I agreed (thinking that they found no leak). Once they were done with the work I was told it was around $40 bucks for the oil change and started to swipe my card when I casually asked if they found any leaks. I was told that they had which was a little frustrating since that's the reason I came in and wouldn't have been told there was a leak unless I asked. Also, the rate at which the car appeared to be leaking made it seem like it was going to be low again in a day or two... I would have much rather just bought my own oil and topped it off if that was the case. I had also asked for the tires to be inflated which I noticed hadn't happened when I got back home... made me wonder if they changed the oil but I confirmed that they had. The reason I ended up posting this review is because this has been my second negative experience. I had previously come in to fill up my own car with synthetic oil and was told (after my oil was drained) that they didn't have the oil recommended for my car (0W-20). I can't remember but I believe they ended up using 5W-30W which wasn't the end of the world but was frustrating that I was told after the fact that they didn't have what I needed. Probably good if you have a honda or something. I took my big diesel E350 Van and they charged me a $100 bucks, and that was WITH the $10 off deal that had going at the time. I know my van is large, but that is completely stupid. That's the last time I try and save time and take it to a quick shop. Just make an appointment at Bernie's, they treat my van nicely. read more

The manager argued with me about the right oil for my car, even when I had the car manual in my hand open to the oil requirements page. I felt that he thought I was being unreasonable for demanding the speficied 20W-50 non-synthetic oil. He wanted to put in 5W-30 synthetic. A 3rd-party (non Jiffy Lube employee) window chip repair company rep works the customers as they come into the waiting room with hard-sell tactics. read more

Last time going to one of these chains. I normally bring my car into the Honda Dealership, but since I was over across the street getting my brakes fixed I figure I would give Jiffy Lube a shot since there was a small line. I did the signature oil change which states 5 quarts of quality oil. The service tech. took me over to my car and asked me which oil I wanted for my 2008 Accord, I told him I will take the standard oil. Then he was shocked and said for this car, I would not put in our standard oil, I would use the premium or high mileage. I don't consider my car high mileage at 70,000 miles. While I was waiting to get everything done, another guy brings me out to my car and notices a few cracks the windshield stating he can fix them for free. I stated this was fine as I had a few extra minutes. After 45 minutes, I checked on my car and it was out of the service bay. The windshield guy from windshield repair network stated he cracked my windshield when pulling out the suction. He stated I would have to file a claim with my insurance company. Jiffy Lube took no responsibility in this or offered any sort of apology as he stated they are a different company. You are affiliated as he was in your shop offering repair jobs. His business looks bad for your business. The full service oil change was not even near full. I am home and noticed no windshield fluid and low tire pressure on 2 tires. Go ahead and offer your full service inspection. But you can't skip on it just because you have 8 other cars waiting on a hot day. Will never go back to any Jiffy Lube again. read more

I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years, always asked for the least expensive oil change as I change oil every 3500 miles. I don't get any of the extra upsells. It's always cost me around $30 or $40 depending on the oil I select. When I went this summer I again specifically asked for their least expensive oil change. They didn't give me a quote so of course I assumed the usual price. I was furious when they billed me $78!!! They said it was their 'premium' service which was the lowest cost option. I swore never to go back. Today I thought I'd get a quote with AAA pricing, since at least they don't require an appointment. I told the manager about my last experience. He could have turned it around at that point and treated me as a valued customer. But instead was very rude, insinuated it was my stupidity asking for the wrong service and said they always give quotes. He told me the lowest priced option for my vehicle would be $41. Which is about what the previous oil change should have been! I left and am never going back to JF again! Anywhere!!! I went a few blocks to Courtesy Tire and booked an oil change for $26 and was treated with respect, by nice people. I don't know what's happened at JF in West Seattle, new management I'm guessing. read more
