I've been coming here for oil changes and other minor car maintenance for several years. The service is fantastic, they do a great job of getting you in and out quickly. I love that I can come in anytime in between oil changes and they'll top off my cars fluids and vacuum, no charge!!! There are some good people working here, especially Ronaldo! The water guard under my front bumper had been hanging off, I thought I was going to have to take it to a body shop and spend 100$...he fixed it for free!!! Made my day! read more

I've been here a handful of times and really enjoyed the quick and efficient service. However, I do NOT appreciate one of the employees (day time Hispanic manager) that felt that he needed to, RUDELY and inappropriately voice his opinion on how "friendly" my three year old was. He went on to lecture me on how to parent my daughter because she was "overly talkative." I'm holding back just to not rage....... I will be reporting to corporate. I usually go to my dealership for oil changes but I had already gone over my miles and needed my car serviced quickly. This location had me in and out in 30 minutes. I had my oil changed here 2 weeks ago. Since then my check engine light turned on and my oil pressure gage showing zero. I took my truck back thinking jiffy had done something wrong. Like maybe using wrong oil type. Manager Patti immediately had technician Sal do a complete oil change with even better oil than I had paid for originally. Turns out, the problem wasn't Jiffy at all but a faulty sensor. Patti and Sal handled my problem like pros. I will keep coming back to this Jiffy Lube with all my vehicles. read more

Hurray! My first one star rating. So I used to think that Jiffy Lube's were pretty much all the same. And in fact, I've been to this one a few times before because its location makes it not so busy compared to many others. Today, it was a mistake. It started off great in that when I got there, no one was there so I thought - awesome, quick oil change day! But there were no attendants either, but I noticed a second floor where there was a TV playing so I gently honked on the horn and someone finally came out. So I got my car in for a standard oil change. I guess they're getting more aggressive about selling you stuff with this recession and all. So the guy makes suggestions about stuff my car needs - transmission, radiator, blah blah. I had my mechanic take care of all that in April. But he still wants to hard sell a cabin filter, to which I told him how one of the other Jiffy Lubes tried doing that once, but they messed it up. He pretty much said other Jiffy Lubes might suck but we're professionals here. He went on to say that I should keep coming back to the same one so that I can establish a "relationship and trust". If this was a movie, you would see this as "foreshadowing". Anyway, the oil change gets done, I go to pay for it. Slide the card through, and the authorization times out. It happens the second time. The third time, I try a debit card and it still times out. I figure that it's the HughesNet network connection spazzing out (I can't believe a business actually uses HughesNet - I'm guessing they got it so that they can get the DirecTV connection the same time so they have something to watch when they're letting customers wait for service) but explaining that to the goober probably would have done no good. I don't have enough cash to pay for it, so the guy suggests I go to the bank across the street to get cash. Not wanting to pay the out of network ATM fee, I go to Ralphs next door to get a 24 pack of Diet Pepsi and a $40 cash back. To help things further, this tweeker looking dude in front of me in line at Ralphs is buying all these wacky things - including 15 small packets of Kool-aid. And you'd think that the cashier will just punch in the quantity and do one scan, but no, she scans EVERY SINGLE ONE. (I should dump on this Ralphs for that move). Then the guy punches in his Ralphs card at the end - presumably because he wants to see in one shot how much he saved (as compared to looking at his receipt). So the system is now going through his entire purchase to deduct the savings. Then he swipes his ATM - and lo and behold, he is declined. Apparently, the dude has only about $115 in the bank for a $120 purchase. Why the hell a guy who can barely pay for his groceries is buying kool-aid packets I'll never know. Anyway, at this point, I bolt to a different line. Finally, I get back to the Jiffy Lube. Now I'm thinking the guy would at least offer me some nominal discount. But no, I get charged full price. I thought I would bitch about it (I do it routinely at restaurants), but then I decided that complaining about it on Yelp would be a lot more fun. So here I go. Anyway, I'm not coming here again. And you shouldn't either. read more

I've been coming to this Jiffy Lube for about 2years since it is by my workplace. The location is great, not too busy but you do have to pay attention or you might miss it. The attendants are really friendly upon arriving, they offer coffee and are very polite. Honestly I'm always thinking all they want to do is upsell and add extras to standard service but they take the time to explain why you might want any additions. Not pushy at all. Gilbert the manager was very nice and professional. He went over a few things my car might need and also included a discount since I mentioned I was taking a trip to Vegas that evening. Let me just say that I live in Hollywood and I drive 12 miles up the 170 to this Jiffy Lube. I think that says it all. It's a cramped space but once inside Awaits the best service I've ever received at a Jiffy Lube, by far! Better service than any overpriced dealership too. I usually go to the just tires off of Lankershim for my oil change because they're a little cheaper but yesterday I went to jiffy lube on Penrose because I had a coupon. They are so fast! They got me in and out with in 20 minutes. Just tires literally takes hours for an oil change. The way the shop is set up at this jiffy lube you can see them working on your car the entire time. i LOVE this place! they are friendly, super fast (it was busy and still i was there less than 1/2 hr) and they vacuumed my atrocious vehicle and cleaned my windows. They suggested services for my car, but when I mentioned I'd have to return (financial reason) they were understanding and not pushy or weird. This place was great to me! I went in for an oil change, brought my own oil, and was given a discount of $10. The three gentlemen working were very nice, did a quick change (out in less than 15 minutes), checked all my fluids and sent me on my way. They also windexed my windows. =) Although it was my first time here, there was another woman who came in while they were servicing my car who to be honest had no idea what she was doing or what her car needed, however the mechanic was honest about what she needed. She came in asking for the works, however when looking at the mileage on the vehicle the mechanic told her honestly, in terms of how much time has passed you would typically need the service, however seeing how little you drive to be honest you don't. We can take care of you if you would like but you are totally fine. Super nice. I don't understand a bad review for these guys--honest, fast, well-priced, and nice. I couldn't ask for more from a local oil change. Definitely coming back. read more

I have been bringing my car here for a few years for oil changes and have never really had any issues... Yes they always try to up sell filters and tranny service but if you don't feel you need it or simply don't want it, then just don't do it. They get a 3 star because they at least take the time to explain what they see or have been trained to say and are not pushy. A couple of the guys here been here for a while and always offer the $10 off with or without coupon. They would get a better rating except they tried to sell an air filter to my wife recently and didn't realize I had already installed a K&N lifetime air filter on her car..... Good place for Oil change, but have you're regular mechanic do all other services. read more

These guys are just top notch! Pulled in this morning at 715 with only one other car (ON A SATURDAY!? Happiness level rises), greeted and helped right away, even though I've been going to Jiffy Lube for 17 years and this one specifically for about 8 years on and off as it's so close to my apartment and work, in 2016 I'd bought a Chevy Colorado and hadn't yet brought it into jiffy lube so it took a little running around by the guys to get the filter size and engine size right (thank you euro engines for being difficult), as well as a $100+ estimate to which my work-three-jobs-living-paycheck-to-paycheck self sinks internally and even expresses my money restraints to Rolando, he quickly realized the engine size was different than we both thought, and we used a $15 coupon as my truck requires high mileage oil, and boom $80! Still a little tight on my budget but honestly everyone was so helpful and wonderful and honestly gave me such a boost to the end of a cruddy week. Thanks Rolando and crew! read more

When Ronaldo was asked why, his response was I'm not talking to you and you are not getting your money back. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH JIFFY LUBE on Penrose in Sun Valley, CA. This last time I was in there for an oil change, I ask them to also replace my air filter. They pulled the air filter and let me know that it wasn't in bad shape. This was my first time at a Jiffy Lube. I got right in, there was no wait. The guys were really polite and friendly. They even cleaned my front window which was extremely dirty, which was a pleasant surprise since I was on my way to get a car wash. I opted to a get full synthetic oil change and the manager gave me a discount with the Yelp check in.
