Googled the issue and top hit was oil overfilled. Checked the oil level and it was 1/3 of the way up the stick or about 5 inches . I took it back and they drained the extra out saying some cars take more even for the same engine which was puzzling. Took home checked the level and it was still 1/5 up the stick or 2 inches. Took it back again and they redid the oil change showing me the level before I left. No more smoking. Fast forward two weeks, my son in law took his Audi A3 for an oil change to the same Grease Monkey in Clinton. I told him to tell them if his car needs more than 5 quarts which is the base price to say we'll add the rest at home. The base price for full synthetic was $89. When they finished and he went to pay they asked for $135. They said they used upgraded oil, filter, and whatever else. Nothing was told to him prior for the upsell. They just did the work. This Grease Monkey has been our go to up to this point. My daughter played soccer with the owner's granddaughter so I'm adding this review in hopes they see this and can make some policy or personnel changes. Until then I'll take my business elsewhere.

At no point were we told it could turn into an overnight hold. The shop closed without calling us, and we received no update whatsoever. We had to call ourselves after the original timeline passed just to find out what was going on. The next morning, once again, no one called us -- we had to reach out again for an update. We were given conflicting information about whether the part had arrived. Eventually, we decided to show up in person because we were getting nowhere over the phone. When we arrived, our car was already finished and sitting in the parking lot, yet no one had called us to tell us it was done. If we hadn't shown up when we did, there's no telling how long our car would have sat there. Despite being told 2 hours, having our car held overnight without notice, and receiving zero proactive communication, we were still charged full diagnostic and repair costs with no adjustment offered. Mistakes happen -- but the lack of communication, accountability, and basic courtesy is unacceptable. We will not be returning and would caution others to be very clear about timelines and expectations before leaving their vehicle here.

They charged me extra for parts that the warranty company furnished to "help pay his mechanics." It cost me several hundred more than it should have. Before they changed ownership, they accepted my warranty coverage 100% with no out of pocket costs. My warranty company advised me not to use them in the future.

People they sold this place they are there to Over charge and get as much as they can from you…read morefirst time and Dont care for repeat business, worst than a dealership.... didnt fix what we brought into them lied and said they did and less than 500 feet out of there driveway problem came back (engine light) they threw new parts at issue and called it done, charge you for diagnostic but didnt really fix the issue. charge outrages labor and tool fee for diagnostic test without results. i had replaced with new the parts they did a week before, codes showed a misfire on cyl 1, the O2 sensors were giving bad voltage readings because air and fuel ratios were off from misfire, with expensive diagnostic and maybe a mech with any skill would research why but just threw new parts at one part of issue and sent it to billing, well the misfire was because roller rockers for cylinder 1 had faulted and wore down came on intake so valves weren't opening and fuel and air was mess up and Bam misfire. $900. dollars to replace 2 O2 sensors that took me 1 hour start to finish to change, This is called ripping people off.... It may have been a better place before but look out there going to get ya now....
