Not to sure what happened with the other reviews/experiences but I had a very simple and easy experience. I went in to get an oil change only and they asked me all the questions and services I needed. And answered my questions beforehand. The workers were nice and friendly. It truly did take about 15-20 mins only and we sat in an air conditioned room which was nice considering it was 89 outside and humid. They were transparent about the charges before paying. I even asked about a coupon and they had one for me that qualified. Overall, not to sure about other services but at least I'd come back for an oil change again. read more

I swung by Jiffy Lube expecting the usual: a swift oil change at a decent price. And to be fair, they delivered on that front. But this visit felt like watching 'Mission: Impossible' only to realize mid-film that Tom Cruise had been swapped out for Nicolas Cage. Surprising? Yes. Confusing? Absolutely. Eventually, you just go with it, hoping for the best. The customer service this time around was... let's say, underwhelming. The staff barely acknowledged my presence, and the person assisting me spoke so softly I thought I was eavesdropping on a library whisper. It lacked the professionalism and enthusiasm I've experienced in previous visits. On the bright side, the oil change was completed, and my wallet didn't cry. But Jiffy Lube, if you're listening, a little more pep and acknowledgment wouldn't hurt. I was overcharged by over $100 for a battery replacement. They didn't ok the charge with me, just said they had to go see if they had the battery. They came back with a bill for $500 and the battery was already installed. They didn't check with me about the price. I called the next day but the manager was unwilling to talk about it. VERY BAD experience...I was told that they could replace my filters and it would "add 5-10 extra minutes" to the service....turns out they did not have the filters in stock and this required them to order these items from a local AutoZone. I was not informed this would add much more time to the service time and after 1 hour of waiting (not 10 minutes) I needed to leave. The "Manager" proceeded to not only NOT apologize for this situation but gave me a very poor attitude almost as if this was MY fault. I will never return to this Jiffy Lube and strongly recommend that when you are considering an oil change in the Williamsburg, VA. area you do NOT bring your business to this highly unprofessional place. read more

Drove thirty minutes here to get my oil changed. It was 330 and the girl came out to tell me "our tech is leaving after he finishes the next car" even though they didn't close for THREE AND A HALF HOURS!! This is the second time I've had to leave without getting my oil changed due to their laziness. I ended up going to valvoline and they did a fantastic job. Won't be coming here anymore. read more

I rarely leave a bad review for anything. If the service wasn't good I cut them some slack because anyone can have a bad day and most people only take time to write bad reviews and seldom write good ones. However, I regularly give a review when the service is very good. Bad news travels much faster than good news and most merchants and companies try to do a good job and are quick to fix a problem and try to make the customer happy. So this is the first time in many years I have taken the time to give a bad review but I think it needs to be done so others don't have the same experience I did. I live in Williamsburg and several years ago I went here because I needed an oil change that day (I had a family emergency and had to go out of town over 1000 miles round trip) They charge almost double what my regular mechanic charges but I have to make an appointment. The service was ok but the prices are more than I want to pay. They force you to get many extras that I don't need and build it into the cost. Last month I purchased a Groupon online for a conventional oil change at what I thought was a good price. I went the same day and was told they didn't have conventional oil. They tried to upsell me to synthetic. However, they would not apply the cost of the Groupon towards it. I was willing to pay the difference. I was told they would have the conventional oil in a few days. I went back a second time and got the same pitch from the same person. after two weeks I went back for the 3rd time, same person same pitch.. No Go! He did not seem interested in helping me resolve the issue or even want my business because It was a discounted price through Groupon. The Groupon is going to expire in 5 days. I called them yesterday afternoon and was told they were getting a delivery last night or this morning. I called today and asked if they had conventional oil but didn't tell them I had Groupon. They said, yes they have it. I told the person that I had come there a few times they were out of stock and was told yesterday that a delivery was coming and I wanted to make sure before I drove there. She said let me double check..... was on hold for less than a minute and she said, yes we have it, the truck came this morning! When I arrived today the same guy as above told me they don't have the oil but they had synthetic. I then told them what I have just written. I was then told that my Groupon would not be valid or accepted because they were purchased by a different company a few weeks ago (after I bought the Groupon and they would not honor it even though the Groupon was still valid and had not expired) I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Instead of correcting the issue and providing me with service, he blew me off. I will make it a point to share this review with as many places as I come across. I will tell many people I know and ask them to do the same. I have lived in this community for over 20 years and have never had such bad service. I left there feeling like I had been lied to and they are scamming people trying to upsell synthetic. I wouldn't even trust that they would use synthetic if I had said yes. The person I was dealing with didn't give a crap about me or what I told him. P.S. I was very nice and didn't raise my voice or act like a jerk. I made it a point to smile and explain the issue calmly and with respect. Most of the time when there is a problem it isn't the employee's fault but they usually will try to fix it or get someone who can. Don't go to this jiffy Lube. It seemed like they didn't want to take any other customers. When I arrived they said it would take an hour to an hour and a half. There were only two cars in front of me so I took my chances. Sure enough, I was out of there in just over a half hour. There is a new charge of an extra $10 to take off a shield. even though I've been a customer for years, they couldn't tell me if that extra fee would be charged on my car. They have taken out a row of chairs, so only 5 chairs are in the waiting room. So when another couple arrived, I stood so the guy with the cane could sit. Plus the chairs were a bit too close for comfort, especially with Covid still going around. I liked the convenience of Jiffy Lube, but I have no desire to go some place that doesn't want my business any longer. read more

My wife and I were out in Williamsburg this weekend in her vehicle and decided to try out this store (we usually go to the stores in Newport News) and it was great! Exactly the same experience, same price, same extra services for free and all the information we need about services that are due or coming due! This place has gotten iPads to go through all the vehicle recommendations which we thought was cool! Keep up the great work and we will stay jiffy lube for life!!!!!!!!! read more

It's okay. I'm a regular. Lobby has gotten crappier, coffee no more. Disappointing is that the WiFi router still sends out a signal but they have disconnected their internet. Why not just unplug the router! read more

This is the kinda place that gives mechanics bad names. They're always pushing to upcharge, blatantly making up imaginary problems or risks. I have sat in the waiting room and listened to them take advantage of less knowledgeable women making up nonsense stories like "Honda's aren't designed for cheap oil so there's a chance the engine could explode if you don't (use super expensive synthetic oil)". I have had them tell me brand new cabin air filters need changed for $50 when it's an easy two minute install that the AutoZone people will do for free. read more

I had the best experience ever there - the gentlemen treated me so respectfully and opened all the doors, helping me while I was carrying a baby in a baby seat. I didn't have to wait at all and they vacuumed, cleaned the windows, checked my engine light, remembered to turn off the blinking oil change reminder, and they even checked my brakes at no extra charge. I really appreciate their kindness and helpfulness! They also had an inspiring TV station playing in the waiting area that was sharing refreshing news and I relaxed and enjoyed every minute. Don't get your oil changed here. They uphold my mother in law without telling her prices and marked they had cleaned and vacuumed out the car, which they hadn't. Then when driving later that day we heard metal grinding. They hadn't put the plate that helps protect the underside of the car back in properly and it was dragging on one side. We came back to have them fix it and they tried to turn us away saying they didn't have any oil. read more

This was my first oil change at Jiffy Lube. I needed the oil changed quickly and my usual shop couldn't fit me in for two more days. The service was quick and friendly. No complaints there. The oil change itself *seems* to have been done correctly. I checked the dip stick and the level is good, but who can say what grade they put in? It was by far the most expensive oil change I've ever had done, but I knew that going in. My main criticism has to do with their Service Checklist. It appears that many of the items were not done as indicated on the invoice. They definitely did not vacuum, clean windows, or check tire pressure and it's possible they did not check many other things that are impossible for me to verify. They did say that my radiator fluid was a quart low (they wanted an extra $5 to top it off) which I thought strange, because I checked it myself recently and it was fine then. I checked it myself later and sure enough, it was not low at all. Considering that there were three guys working in the bay and I was the only customer at the time, I can only attribute their failure to follow-through on laziness. I bought a Groupon and headed over to jiffy lube to get an oil change. Upon arriving, I was informed that the truck had not come in and they did not have my oil filter. I asked if I could go buy my own and was told if I do they have to charge more to do the oil change. I asked why, they did not have an answer. They recommended that I go to a different jiffy lube (15 miles away). Here are my concerns/issues. 1. If the store sells more of a certain type of filter...order more of that type. Filters do not expire. 2. If you don't have a filter because they were not delivered and I provide a solution of picking it up myself....don't dare tell me that you will have to charge more. It is not my faintly don't have the part. 3. If you recommend me to go to another Jiffy Lube because they will have it...how about you send an employee over there to get extras for your store so you are not inconveniencing customers. read more

I drove 25 miles to get my oil changed at this Jiffy Lube today. When I arrived at 9:00am, there were no customers there. I pulled up to three empty bays, and not an employee in sight. I then saw three technicians in the parking lot. It appears they were looking at one of their cars. They saw me pull in, but apparently didn't feel it was important to come serve me. Then I saw the supervisor (in a different color shirt). He was walking slowly to the shop from the back of the parking lot. I called out to him, "are you guys open for business?" He just looked at me. No reply. He continued walking into the shop and was standing just looking at me. By now, one of the techs was also now back in the shop and was standing over a laptop. I called out again, "Do you guys want to service me?" Still silence. Then the supervisor called out to me, "you been here before?" I replied, I don't want to be here right now. I don't think you guys want my business." I waited a few seconds. No response from the supervisor or the tech. I got back in my car, backed up and drove away. This was so bizarre. I'm not going to give my business to a company that doesn't have an interest in me as a customer. I encourage the rest of you to avoid this company as well. read more

Went in for an oil change last week. The receipt claimed that they topped off fluids and checked the tire pressure, but the very next day my dashboard was displaying a message that my coolant level was dangerously low, along with two of my tires being at 20 psi or lower. Also, my power steering sounds like it needs more fluid too, but I'm not taking it back to this place. Clearly they did not do a thorough job. I've had nothing but good experiences at the Jiffy Lube I used to patronize in Arlington when I lived in DC, but this location appears to be trading off the name and not doing the same quality work. Seems like poor management to me. I'll go somewhere else in Williamsburg or wait until I'm back in DC for my next oil change. read more

I normally get great service except for today. I have used this location for years. I arrived at 1800 for oil change, tire rotation and RAINEX. I also needed my brake fluid changed. There was one person already in the bay and three technicians. They state that they cannot do brake fluid change because of the time. Really? Do not know of many businesses that will turn down business. I get it. Too late. Here is the kicker. Technician tells me that the Mazda takes only synthetic oil. Been serviced here for three years with conventional oil but today it is synthetic. I tell the technician that the car has had conventional oil since we bought it. Tells me I am mistaken. Mistaken? Sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes before the gentleman at the counter decided to acknowledge my existence. As I waited, all the men could be heard in the bay shouting obscenities and things like, "SEMEN!" Not kidding. I usually bring my kid to sit with me while I get this done and I'm glad I didn't. I would NEVER recommend Jiffy Lube for any service. I regrettably used the Jiffy Lube Williamsburg VA location on Second Street yesterday. I had a GROUPON that I paid $65.00 for. It was supposed to include 5 quarts of synthetic blend oil,tire rotation, Windows cleaned and Rain X applied. I arrived with my elderly father and showed my GROUPON to which I was told they would not do a tire rotation because my "tread did not require it". My response was that is one of the main reasons I came was for a rotation. The attendant said he would have to "note he advised me against it", I told him I didn't care I wanted one anyways. Another attendant came inside and told me I had an 8 quart diesel oil container*which I did not, I do not have a diesel vechile* and it was going to be extra $. I advised fill the 5 quarts only. When my Jeep was done the attendant came in and said it was 30+ additional dollars, and they decided NOT to rotate my tires, because they didn't need it. After a few moments of questioning this my elderly father started getting distressed, so I paid and left. When I went outside I noticed my windshield was awful, as the pictures do not do it justice. I asked the other attendant if he cleaned my windows and he said yes. I said I can't even see out of them. My father was getting further distressed so we left. DO NOT EVER USE JIFFY LUBE! read more

I went this morning for an oil change. I took my briefcase out of the car thinking I would have time to get some work done and get some breakfast at the McDonald's next door. I was surprised to find, however, that upon receiving my meal at McDonald's that my car was already done! I was floored by it as I have never had such rapid and efficient service. I actually opened the Yelp account to shout out to these guys because Jiffy Lube seems to get beaten up online for one reason or another. This location has their stuff together. Go see Will. Terrible service! If Vernon Kelly is the shop manager that day run!!! I had a Groupon for oil change, tire rotation and window Rain-X. After I got in he said he was to busy to do my tire rotation. There were two car behind me with two bays open! Later found out he did about 1/3 of the windshield. I really now wonder if they even changed the oil. I complained on the corporate website and they said the franchise would be in touch in no longer than 48 hours. Nothing after a week. Don't believe any response they write to this. read more

Went in for an oil change a couple years ago, and they told me my car wouldn't be able to drive out the parking lot unless I paid them $500 for some service to fix it. I told them "no" and they said I would be lucky to drive home without the car breaking down, and might not get out of the parking lot without it breaking down.... I refused to stay and drove away without getting the "critically needed work" done. The car never broke down, and drove it from Williamsburg to Ashville, NC (almost 400 miles) the next day with no problems, and then drove it back a week later. I continued to use the car, problem free for a couple years, then I sold the car. They are liars and thieves at this location, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even change the oil. The gentlemen (best word to describe them) were great at this location. I arrived 5 mins before they were officially open and they got my car in right away. I came in for an oil change and there were no high pressure sales for additional services. A couple of issues, but they were highlighted only as things to look at in the future. They held the door open as I exited and opened my car door for me, a rarity these days. True service with a smile!! If I ever need car services in Williamsburg again, I would definitely stop here! read more

I went in for an oil change; service was good, but they told me to replace my brake pads, but I was suspicious. The next day, I went in to another auto shop for a second opinion, and they told me my brakes were fine. I also got my state inspection done a week later, and I was told that my brakes were fine too. They get the job done with oil changes, but if they tell you to replace anything be suspicious. read more
