Outstanding service! I was vacationing in VA when one of my tires picked up a small nail. NTB was close so I pulled in to see if they could fix it. We quickly found out that the locking lug nut couldn't be removed (our dealer gave us the wrong one after a service). I contacted the local Subaru dealer - they were NO help. The service technicians at NTB were able to remove the locking lug nut and perform the repair saving our vacation. read more

I had an appointment to have two tires installed. I called them the day before remembering I had an appointment two hours later and she said it was no problem. My sister took it in the next day and reminded them that she had to be out before 11 and the woman at the counter got a little irate with her. When she got to my car the pressure was different on each tire, ranging from 37-29 psi. That is insane, I had to go to the Wawa and put air in my tires after paying an additional $50 for balancing (which needs to be refunded) and $40 for installation and to be honest they really don't look brand new to me. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location for ANYTHING, and it's the closest location to me. read more

I visited this NTB location to patch a slow leak on a tire and was asked to make an appointment the following day. I returned at the scheduled time and was told that the tires were "too worn" to patch and that I needed four new tires. For context, my dealership had just informed me (a week prior) that my tires had 10k+ more miles of use remaining. I politely declined NTB's suggestion and left without so much as a diagnosis of my tire. I drove a mile south to Henry's and the tire was diagnosed as having a faulty seal. A bit of wax and $30 put me back on the road in ten minutes. Problem solved. Don't be pressured into buying new tires from NTB when you don't need them. When NTB realized I wasn't interested in a new set of tires, they had no interest in helping me. I would avoid this location. read more

0 STARS IF I COULD! TIRE EXPLODED THE NEXT DAY! They left us stranded after we called for help when the tire blew out as we were out on a Sunday with no towing companies working or available. They hung up and disconnected their phone. Their management is terrible, their workers are worse. It took over 2 months to finally receive a refund through their Corporate HQ office because this location and their management refused to help in anyway. We are lucky we did not lose our lives due to their terrible and negligent service. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Go somewhere else if you don't want to die! They should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I have been using these guys for years, and there customer service is often below par. Generally, they are good for tires and inspections. If you use them for mechanic services, beware. Most of the time, there mechanical services will be expensive and not solve a problem 100%. Most recent experience, cracked lens on a headlight would have meant a failed inspection. New headlight assembly for one side, plus installation = $250. Now my truck looks like it has cataracts on the other side. So, I ordered the assembly myself and watched a YOUTUBE installation video = $25. Get tires and inspections, go somewhere else for real problems. read more

My tires are fine but the check-out and customer service is bad. I'm told I need to bring it back for an alignment check. If changing the tires do not affect the alignment as I'm told, then why do i need to bring it back. Why wasn't that done when they did the tires?? We were traveling from NOVA to the OBX and our tire was making a terrible noise. A random internet search and phone call to NTB where Eddie told us to come on in. It was going to take a while to fix so we got a hotel room and they drove us to our hotel apologizing they didn't have the tool to fix it but would take care of it in the morning. Turns out our mechanic Redd stayed until 1am working on our car so it would be ready for us to hit the road in the morning. We were visiting Williamsburg for the weekend, and blew out a tire late on Friday night. I called about 8:15 Saturday morning, and Redd said he could get us back to enjoying the sights right away. Redd and his team checked over the damage, agreed with me that one tire was destroyed, and arranged an appropriate replacement. We were back to having fun in under an hour and a half. I had appointment for oil change and tire rotation scheduled for 0930. The car did not go into the bay until 1100. Why do you have a customer book an appointment and have them wait for 1.5 hours? I went to NTB for four new tires. Luckily they had my tire size in stock, that's why they get two stars. The rest of my experience was miserable. They took over two hours to change my tires. After they did, my truck was on the ground for an hour without any work being done. They told me that I needed a $2 lug nut and that was it. I gave them the ok to get a new lug but, and they were driving my truck out another half hour after that. Then I was informed they had used the wrong weights, so after another hour of waiting for them to balance the tires, I was on my way. After I got home I realized, all of the tires had new valve stems, but none of the plastic caps on them. Also all my tires were filled up to different pressures, ranging from 28-45. It has been a few weeks and I have found that one of my new tires has a slow leak. Would not recommend wasted my time. read more

This place claimed to have rotated my tires by did not even though they charged me. I had taken my vehicle in for an inspection, they claimed it need $1500 dollars of work to pass. I said I would come pick it up and do the work then have it inspected. But they charged me for the tire rotation and the inspection anyways but did not rotate the tires. Not to mention the younger girl at the desk is extremely rude and lied to my face. I will never be going back to this place for work. read more

Was out to buy a used car. Got excellent advice on the car I took in for a pre purchase inspection . Later brought the car back to conduct the repairs which included changing the wheel bearings, brake drum and rear shocks. The car was ready in less than 24 hours and runs like new and at reasonable expense . Appreciate the prompt professional service by the staff. Keep it up guys ! read more

Do not take your car to this NTB if you want your car back in good shape. I took my car in for an oil change, tire rotation and wheel alignment. At the end of the day they did not do my alignment, they lost my tire lock, broke my original lug nuts to put their own on, and removed the side piece from my trunk exposing the inside near the light and never replaced it. This place didn't communicate before they did any of these things. I was getting no where with them so I called corporate and filed a complaint. This place ended up lying about what happened. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. These people are scammers and dishonest. read more

I got good service in the past but not today. I made an appointment to replace a sidewall damaged tire with a lightly used tire I bought from NTB six months ago. The agent said "No problem come on in and we'll take care of it." When I showed up they brushed me off saying they would only install a new tire they would sell me. I went to Discount Tire on Richmond Rd. They inspected the tire to be sure it was a high quality tire that met their standards and installed it in less than 30 minutes for $19.00. NTB lost a customer and Discount Tire gained one. read more

The car had just had new smoked headlight assembly replacements put in, in March of 2020. These Headlights are marked with all required marking DOT stamp, bulb type, and manufacturer which complies with the Virginia Inspection laws Code (19VAC30.70.510) After trying to talked with the inspector over the phone I was told no they were still illegal and was hung up on. Which made me think that he would not take the time to check the law again and that he was to lazy to check the headlight lens his self for the required information. I ended up taking the car to a different shop to get inspection again and it passed because of the 3 different stamps on the lens proving it was DOT approved. This was not the first time I had used this shop in the past and I had always had great service but not after this. I will not be talked to as I know nothing. They have lost all my business. read more

Redd was amazingly helpful, he got me the best deal for my tires. He looked over my car and found parts that could be replaced and explained, and reexplained as needed. I made an appointment on a Thursday for oil, new tires and a state inspection. When I got there and they said the inspector left and wont be back until next week however you can leave your car over the weekend and you'll be the 1st car to be done next week. I reluctantly agreed and left. On a Monday afternoon I called to find out the status of my car and the kid said the inspector wasn't there and would be there the next day. I asked if the other items were done and he said no. I asked why and he gave me a speech on how the state inspector needs to put hands on the car 1st. I was very puzzled by this and asked if I could talk to someone that could explained this. Well, then the manager Chris got on the phone and immediately was on fire. I asked him why does the inspection guy need to be there in order to get my tire and oil changed. He gave me the speech again but this time really fast and rudely. I asked him to speak a little slower and he said " I don't think I'm speaking fast" He was augmentative, rude and had ABSOLUTLY no people skills. I told him that I was frustrated about all this and he said "the people around me agree on what I'm saying". Now, let me sate He was in the garage with the other mechanics because all I heard was the air guns going off. All I needed to hear was I'm sorry for your frustration but we will have your car ready tomorrow. But NO this "manager" Chris ended the conversation with me upset and worried about my car. I contacted the corporate office and the district manager called me. I specifically told him I don't want a discount or money off the bill. I want my car done without retaliation and perhaps an apology from Chris "THE MANAGER". He assured me that nothing will happen to my car and that he'd have Chris call me...... NEVER HAPPEND. I called the next day talk to Red (who was wonderful) and I picked my car up. No Chris, No apology for the behavior and the way he treated a paying customer. My family, friends and co workers are all aware of this disgusting customer service and I will deter anyone from going there. An apology and reassurance that all is well with my car and it would be done the next day is all that he needed to do. This place was great when we bought a full set of tires for my wife's car but when we got a nail in one of those tires my wife called them and made an appointment for 9 am because that's when they said they opened. She had to reschedule so she called back and this guy says that they open at 7 and that if she could be there at 7:30 they would get her right in and get the tire fixed. A little confusing but - OK. She shows up at 7:30 and the guy says her appointment isn't until 9 and refused to do anything until then and when she asked for the Manager he says that he's in charge today. My wife totally felt like they were demeaning to her because she's a woman and I believe that since my experience was exactly opposite. Bottom line - even though we have purchased coverage for her tires as well as my full set of tires for my truck, we will NOT be going back to NTB for any reason.
