Someone shot a BB gun and broke our window at 6pm on a Thursday night. I texted Jimenez Glass with photos and measurements, asking for an appointment asap. At 7am the next morning, Friday, I got a response. Phone calls followed and they were able to come out on that same day! They arrived promptly at 2pm, worked diligently and cleaned up everything in about an hour. The cost was VERY reasonable. I cannot recommend Guillermo highly enough. I had 2 craftsman style window panels that were broken FOREVER and finally opted to fix those eyesores. I called Guillermo, he actually picked up the phone, and within 48 hours they both were fixed. Came out with his Dad to measure. Seemed like a really nice guy. Measured everything and said he would send a quote in a few days. I called and then texted a week later, no reply. Complete waste of my time. I guess he can pick and choose which jobs he will do because the economy is getting better. well, a few weeks ago I gave them a 1 star review after they failed to respond to look at a window that cracked very quickly again, after they replaced it. Since they always respond very quickly I was disappointed and figured Jimenez Glass just did not want to deal with me anymore, but on 11/30 they called me out of the blue and came the same day and fixed the window at no cost . my house was broken into with glass shattered from the front door all over the entryway. i called jimenez after finding them on yelp and guillermo picked up the phone right away and asked me to text a picture of the broken glass. one minute later, he called me back with an estimate and an explanation and said he could be here in 30-40 minutes. he didn't hesitate at all when i said that i'd need to call my wife first. afterwards, he showed up actually early, cleaned up all of the broken glass, and installed a brand new piece of safety glass promptly afterwards! my bill was for the same amount as what guillermo quoted me over the phone, and the whole break in incident was over and done with in less than an hour and a half after first calling him. meanwhile, even hours afterwards, i'm still waiting for the oakland police to show up and take my report... tomorrow he's coming out again to preventively upgrade some of our other pieces of glass. way to go guillermo! read more

I am a property manager and every so often need a glass guy, usually pretty fast. When my current glass-guy (or should I say ex-glass-guy) failed to do a simple glass repair in 3 weeks, I finally lost my mind. He is officially dead to me. I went on Yelp and came across Jimenez Glass. Guillermo answered the phone right away, got an understanding of what I needed, asked for a picture, gave me a fair quote, made an appointment with my tenant and finished the job in literally 2 hours from the point I first talked to them. Great Customer Service. I called an hour before the listed closing time on Saturday and asked if I could bring my window by. I was informed that this is a mobile service only, and after he asked a few questions, I was immediately referred to another business that would be able to fix it and save me quite a bit of money. These guys are great. I had some jackass throw a rock through one of the larger windows in my house (45" x 65") late on a Wednesday night. I called around midnight and left a message asking for someone to get back to me in the morning. They called back 10 minutes later (well after midnight on a week night) and we set up an appointment to take a look at the window the next day. They arrived right on-time on Thursday, took a look at the window and took some measurements, and quoted me a really fair price to fix it. Also told me that it might take a few days to get the glass because it was a custom, tempered glass job that they needed to order. I anticipated getting the window fixed on Monday. Got a call on Friday saying that the window was ready, two days sooner than promised, and that they could come on Saturday to install it. On Saturday, again arrived right on time. Worked diligently to get the window in and did a really nice job making sure everything looked right. Highly, highly recommended. They made what could have been a really stressful process an annoyance, rather than a tragedy. read more

Called Mr. Jimenez and gave him the size and type of window that needed to be fixed and he gave me a reasonable estimate on the phone and told me he could be there in 2 hours. This review is long overdue! A few years ago we had Jimenez glass install a glass tub panel for us. It came out great! Fast forward to present day and all of the work is still excellent and holding up well. We used modern chrome hinged brackets to hold the glass in place and it looks fantastic. He's very reliable, and by far the best contractor we worked with. I would definitely rehire him for any other glass work in the future. read more

My dog got little over zealous and jumped toward the front 1944 single pane window and broke it. I called another yelp top rated glass company but no one answered. I called Jimenez Glass and someone answered right away. Two very pleasant, professional and skilled gentlemen came to my rescue. I placed the call at 4:18PM and after sending a few photo's of the damaged window and agreeing to the price they were out by 6PM. Jimenez Glass did an fantastic job replacing glass around our door because the old glass was not tempered. Guillermo came out to measure all 10 windows and give me an estimate that was very reasonable. Then he ordered the glass and set up a time to come and install it. They replaced all of the trim with new wood. What a difference. And best part is they completely cleaned up the work area of any debris including taking the old glass away. I have to add my very positive review here too. I phoned on Monday morning, and spoke with Guillermo about a window in the front of our house that was broken over the weekend. He mentioned times for Monday, as well as Tuesday, which didn't work for me. He agreed to come at 3pm on Monday. He asked me to text him my address, which I did. He and his assistant showed up at -- can you believe it!? -- 3pm, exactly. They took out the broken glass, put in the new glass, cleaned it, and were out in 30 minutes. Someone smashed our kitchen window late on a Friday afternoon and, for obvious reasons, we didn't want to wait until the following week to get it repaired. A lot of the other local businesses (who are otherwise solid) were already shut down for the weekend, but Jimenez Glass came through in a pinch and did a great job. Guillermo is a nice guy and did the job quickly and effectively. Works weekends, which is really helpful in a situation like mine. Possible a bit on the pricey side, but that's probably what you get when you ask for off-hours work. Definitely a good place to go if you need to get a broken window fixed. Recommended. read more

They guys are great, just bought a new home and before we even moved in some low life shot BBs at 3 of our windows. I was able to take pictures with my phone and just text them to Jimenez Glass, he quoted me over the phone from my pictures. Came out measured the glass and was back the following weekend to do the repair and came in under his quote for the price! We had a window pane at the front of our house crack and needed someone to come same day to prevent my children from injuring themselves. I was able to text Jimenez glass a picture at 8 in the morning, they texted back a quote immediately and were at my house early.
