    Lettuce going bad

Waited over 30 min for a sandwich that had no condiments on it & rotten lettuce. Employees more concerned with drive thru then customers in the establishment. 6 people working but only 2 making sandwiches. I use to like jjs but not anymore. Going to jersey mikes instead.

Main complaint is about trying to utilize a Jimmy Johns gift card over the phone to try and have dinner delivered - it did not work. Thought we could just read the numbers to the order taker, I even called in advance to make sure that I could do this over the phone - but that did not work out so well. So, after several fruitless attempts to make the card work, I was told that I would have to come into the store if I wanted to use the card - kind of defeats the purpose of delivery. Got to the store - ordered the exact same thing and the card was scanned without any problem whatsoever. Very frustrating at the end of the day when all you want to do is stay in the house and relax Still like the sandwiches, just not the inconvenience.

    Beach club?

Service was ok. Had to hunt for napkins, store was reasonably clean. The food is mediocre at best but with a laid back atmosphere most people consider it great. I had the JJ Gargantuan, basically a lettuce sandwich with a couple slices of meat and cheese. They are proud of their bread though with proclamations of its freshness. Note to JJ; fresh does not equal good! It is rather tough and chewy kind of like a wheat based taffy. Side note; like all of the mid west, this place too is obsessed with the beach. Can anybody please explain to me what the 'beach club' has to do with the beach? And like the mid west this place too is underwhelming. Giving it a 2 1/2 because on its best day it could only be average. By the way jimmy john, no my mother wouldn't want me to eat here, her standards are higher than that. Obviously higher than your mothers if she calls that stuff gourmet or tasty!

Super service. Quality food. Freaky fast drive-through. Accurate orders. Consistency across stores. Almost $20 for 2 large sandwiches with chips & drink. Gotta pay for quality.

I love their sandwiches, however bc they do not have sweetners that are diabetic friendly they are getting a low rating.

My husband and I were downtown for lunch, and I knew I had to stop by. The menu is VERY limited; there are only two to three sandwiches everyday and a few soups. I decided to order the mozzarella, tomatoes, arugula, and balsamic sandwich and he tried the mortadella with dijon. My sandwich came cold and his was hot, but both were served on the most delicious focaccia bread with flaky sea salt. I was in heaven. There is very limited seating, but the shop as a whole was very cute. There are some specialty meats, cheeses, drinks, and other food goods available for purchase, too. Everyone working was very kind and helpful. This is a must visit if you are a sandwich lover!

THIS is where you come to buy the AMAZING sourdough bread that they serve there. I was at an art event once featured a prominent German photographer. During his gallery talk, he jubilantly exclaimed that he LOVES coming to Omaha, that the Buvette sourdough is THE BEST in the WORLD! I agree. And the really great thing is that they will make amazing sandwiches from it. There is a chalkboard menu listing their sandwiches each day. There are usually 3 different rotating choices. It is enough, I usually have trouble deciding which one to get even with that small menu. The flavors are amazing and the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. I'm going to say that these might be the best sandwiches in the world. Most of the sandwiches are made on this AMAZING house-made focaccia bread. Literally the only thing that makes me sad here is that sometimes they run out of focaccia and ask if they can make it using baguette instead. Their baguettes are amazing as well but personally I don't like them as sandwich bread. So in that event I usually get the soup instead. Their soups are delicious so it's not that big of a problem, Seating is very limited, with a tiny table inside and a couple outside, so you will probably have to find somewhere else to sit and enjoy your lunch, There are deli items, pickles and olives, desserts, and some specialty grocery items available, Staff there are lovely as well and I always feel happy when I visit. Oh, and this - you know how I said these are probably the best sandwiches in the world? One might expect these would be a premium price. I am delighted to tell you that $7.98 will get you one of these amazing things. They are large and satisfying. It is an incredibly good value. I come here often!

We spoke with his daughter who now runs the store and she was so incredibly nice. Everything is made in-house and the love and care shows. We were just passing through but knew our next hotel had a bbq so we bought several varieties of sausage to try (fresh polish, smoked polish, garlic and fennel, german, hot dog plus some bacon, jerky and snack sticks). Our favorites? We loved both versions of the Polish sausage and the bacon....5 stars for those. 4.5 stars for the Italian fennel and garlic and 4-stars for the remaining items. If we lived here, we'd be regulars for sure. Apparently there is a huge festival that make all the sausage for. Its amazing that they hand make all those sausages for this festival. What a treat! If I am ever in town when that is happening, I am going! Sorry I don't recall the name of the festival. I had planned on taking pictures of the grilled sausages but I forgot until after I cut them up. The next day I cooked up the remaining sausage and completely forgot to take pics. The best (and most flavorful) way to experience this post is to go the the butcher shop, buy, grill and eat these sausages and bacon...:-).

A delicate hint of sour, and a soft touch of light rye, with a fresh scent of caraway and onion..... it is a perfect loaf! Chewy, but still supple. they have mastered the craft. People living in Lithuania might be jealous! But such bakeries are rare, even in Chicago nowadays. we live here in California and there is nothing even close to what we remember. But luckily, this little gem of a bakery is making their incredible Lithuanian sourdough rye bread available via Goldbelly. if you are lucky enough to be standing in front of this bakery, run, don't walk inside and buy as many loaves as you have money for. They will freeze well, and they will be the best bread you have ever eaten. If you are not standing in front of it, do what I did. go to their website, and order by Goldbelly. I plan to do it for as long as they remain in business. This bread certainly makes a good sandwich if you slice it thin. But I prefer it toasted, with butter. Or better yet, smeared with Lithuanian farmers cheese that has bits of Caraway. The toast softens the cheese a bit, and you have a gooey treat! If you don't have such cheese (Andrulis is a good brand) consider a good creamy goat or even a simple cow's milk cream cheese spread from good ol' Philadelphia. Honestly, you can just eat it straight from. The loaf. Can't go wrong.
