I'll keep it short. Clean location that's conveniently located. Service is quick and workers are pleasant. They don't do a great job at following instructions (cut in half, add seasoning, etc.). They seem to skimp on meat compared to other locations and are more expensive by $.80-$1.25 per sandwich compared to any surrounding Jimmy John's that I've ordered from. Not sure why that is, but it's enough to keep me from going back. read more

Most of the sandwiches have been pretty good, but I've ordered the Turkey Tom more then a few times and it's been pretty pathetic. I'm not sure if every Jimmy John's makes it this way or just this location, but it's very weak. Basically for $5.50, you get bread, tomato, mayo, 3 thin slices of turkey and a ton of lettuce. I wanted a turkey sandwich, not a lettuce sandwich. I remember a time where I thought Jimmy John's was my new favorite sandwich place next to Subway. Didn't have a mask on me but was hungry walked in expressed that and both employees told me I couldn't be inside without a mask. Here's the thing - Jimmy John's sandwiches (no matter which store you go to) simply aren't anything to write home about. I was feeling a little nauseous today, but wanted a little something to eat as my stomach was empty. Well, JJ's is my go-to place for a "feeling nauseous - give me as bland a sandwich as possible" meal. I guess what I'm saying is that if you like something with little flavor and are recovering from the flu or some form of stomach sickness, JJ's is your spot. Were I able to give zero stars, I would. We are trying to support local businesses during this crazy time, and since this location is independently owned, we wanted to support it. (And have frequently in the past). Little did I know that their staff no longer cares about the customer! I ordered two boxed lunches. While frustrating, I understand the policy of no drink included when ordered for delivery, after all Covid changes a lot of things. However, our food was crammed into a small bag: two sandwiches, two chip bags, two cookies and 4 kickin ranches overflowed the bag and crushed the chips. Additionally, our pickles were left out. I live and work in the Fox River Grove town. I've ordered both at home and my place of work. Delivery speed has always been more than adequate. My issue lately is with the accuracy of the order. It seems as though if you keep your order to exactly the way it is on the menu you shouldn't have any issues. The last 4 times I ordered there has been something wrong with each, either an ingredient was left off (that was not requested to be left off), or the extra was definitely not extra, or the addition was not present. Several of my co-workers and I ordered tonight and when the order came the drink size was not correct. I told the driver that I had ordered a large and as he had to go back for one of the ingredients that got left off I asked him to also fix the drink. He had dropped off our order on the 15 and at the 45 he still wasn't back, as we were only about a mile from the store location I called to see if he was still coming back. The person at the store said that yes, the driver was on his way and that traffic was terrible this time of night. Okay, so I do understand that this was a bad traffic time, but even so it seemed like an exceptionally long time to get there and come back with the ingredient and fixed drink. The driver handed me a bag with my ingredient and the drink which was still the same wrong size. He apologized, but I had only ordered the medium beverage. Then before I could say anything he said that there was a cookie in the bag, but that he needed it for a different order. Ummm... So here is my issue: having told the driver that I thought I ordered a large size that was what I was expecting him to bring back. I realize that I obviously made an error in my ordering, but what he could have done was bring the size (large) that he knew I was expecting or someone from the store could have called to see if I was willing to pay the extra 25 cents. Also, what he should have done was take the cookie out of the bag (preferably in the car) before giving me the ingredient that he forgot. Generally I like ordering from Jimmy Johns because the food is relatively inexpensive and they deliver. But this is definitely the last time that I'll be ordering from them. Everyone love's JJ Sandwiches so when I thought what food should I get to feed 30 Girls Lax players before their long bus ride to an away game the answer was easy. What wasn't so easy is that I thought of it with only an hour to get it done. I called the closest JJ on my way back to town Barrington, and they said nope, they couldn't do it! I rarely go to this location because every time I go here something is wrong with my sandwich. I decided to give it another try on my lunch today. Today was no exception. I ordered a #6 the veggie which comes with avocado spread which is the best part of this sandwich. I took one bite and could not taste the avocado. I looked at the sandwich and didn't see any. I took the sandwich back in and the guy working proceeded to tell me it should be "in between the cheese" I still didn't see any. I gave the sandwich back and the employee continues to tell me, "just so you know I am putting extra on for you because there was some on here already". He was not friendly about it. I have never gotten this particular sandwich where I couldn't see or taste the avocado. We ordered pizza initially but they said that they had forgotten to put through our order, so the FRG Jimmy Johns was our next bet for quick service. Out of 20ish, there was one very minor mess up, and we were in and out of there in less than 15 minutes. Would greatly recommend!!!! read more

The service here is always great. The crew is always friendly and when you make an order, they're done as soon as you get your drink cup. I come here consistently on my lunch break, because my time is valuable and I don't like to spend my break waiting for a sandwich. There's a hardworking gentleman there named Marcus who works nearly every day at this sandwich shop in FRG and he puts everything he has into providing excellent customer service, and keeping a clean friendly environment. I've ordered many of the different sandwiches from the menu usually with a special request. The staff always listens and makes sure they have the order right. Terrible customer service. They've screwed up my order 2 of the first 3 times I've ordered. During my most recent order I asked them to bring change for $100 bill. The driver got to my location and said that it's against store policy for them to carry that much change. Well, that's understandable, but what I don't get is why I never received a call back to inform me of this policy. No one wanted to take accountability including the manager on that shift. The quality of food doesn't change from JJ to JJ, but this particular location has the worst customer service of any JJ I've ordered from. Same complaints as everyone else. I've ordered twice, the speed of delivery the 1st time was about 30 minutes, the driver wound up in a different location than where I had asked for delivery. According to the driver & what was written on the ticket the delivery information was incorrect, even though I gave exact direction. The 2nd time I ordered, the driver had to call me to find out what town we were located in. When the driver arrived he was unaware that we prepaid for the order. We had to call the manager to figure out the payment. Then once the driver left 2 of 3 sandwiches had everything on them when we ordered them both with no toms, even the delivery slip stated no toms. Called back again to notify the manager, was told they were busy so the employee didn't read the ticket correctly & he was less then friendly about it, didn't even offer to fix the order or give a free sandwich next time we order. I have been waiting for a long time to try a jimmy johns sub.. those commercials are catching so finally the day comes for me to try a jimmy johns sub I look over the menu and wow they have bean sprouts oh look and you can have beef and turkey on same sandwich so we order the club size which is suppose to have more fillings.. we live 30 mins away from the jimmy johns we ordered from it is close to our work location so we get the sandwhiches home I ordered a 12 with sprouts and a 14 beef and turkey look and looked again and the 14 was missing the meat no turkey no beef and they put avocado sauce on it omg and the turkey was disappointing as well no sprouts apprantly that location does not use the sprouts uh why not.. and the lettuce on both seemed to be browning I was not impressed at all I call the manager and he states bring it in I can help you and we say well we live 30 mins away cant you help us tomorrow no he wont all things I suggested even sending him a picture of it and take our name down and he refused ..
