Wow, the foot-long must be 18 inches. Or at least I only expected 8 foot long and ended up with 18 inches of pure pleasure. The amount of meat on the sub was perfect. Certainly no slouch in the meat department. The fresh veggies, fresh roll, and the secret sauce they put on it to give it the twang in your mouth made for an amazing lunch after a hard day of work. Will definitely be back. Friendly, service, good food and quick.

I've heard of Jimmy John's but had never tried them. So, when I walked in, I had that sub-shop trepidation....what is the ordering process? What do they have? What are my choices? The one not thing I did know is that I wanted to try their "Unwich." The Unwich is, essentially, a wrap sandwich wrapped in lettuce. So, it's keto and low-carb option. You can get any of their subs as an Unwich. I had the Bootlegger Club (roast beef, turkey, lettuce, tomato, Mayo). It was absolutely delicious! As I say, I knew nothing going in. The staff were super friendly, helpful, cheery, and made it easy forme to figure things out. The food looked real and fresh. They have quite a bit to choose from. I will definitely try something different when I go back.

I was interested to try JJ's a few years ago when it opened up in Guilderland. After trying it out, I have been hooked - my favorite sub place. First things first: the only kind of cheese they have is provolone, so if that isn't your thing, JJ's might not be for you. However, I know a few folks who swore they couldn't get past that, but managed to. I am a vegetarian, so I get the #6, which is a veggie sandwich. There is a larger version of this as well. Lettuce, tomato, cukes, guac, mayo on bread. You can make substitutions - for example, my daughter doesn't like tomato, so they are happy to leave that off. The bread is nice, not too crumbly or doughy, and not leathery either. The ingredients have always seemed fresh too, especially compared to some other chains. Their pickles are great too! Service is always great here, friendly and fast. The shop is clean, bathrooms have always been clean too. This has been a really great go-to as a busy parent when I want something fresh on the go.

Great food, quick service and a very clean venue. I typically get the unwich (lettuce leaf instead of bread) which is perfect for gluten allergies or if you are on a diet. My only beef with the unwich is that they charge you the same as if you were getting a sandwich with bread. Also the pickles rock!

    Barbecue chips (really good!)

Jimmy John's is a good standby for subs. There's little to complain about-- only issue is the messed up my order slightly. They were quick in fixing the issue. Surprisingly the pickles were really good and chips were great with the sub. It's a nice Saturday lunch place if that's what you're looking for.

I love the lettuce wraps, so good. Friendly staff always get it right. They have 3 new parking spots in front of the building.

Stick with your local sub shops! This place is a waste of money! I said where's the beef?

I always loved Jimmy Johns. First experienced it in Ithaca during college and have been a fan ever since. This place was super clean. Service was quick and more importantly the sandwich was delicious. I ordered the JJ Gargantuan because it comes with the most meat and it did not fail to deliver on deliciousness. I recommend this place especially since most delis are closed on weekends; it will not disappoint!

This was my first time at Jimmy John's and I must say, I'm impressed. The service was really quick, and my sub was really fresh. It seemed like everything was prepared this morning. The tables, booths, and facilities were really clean too. I like the quotes on the wall and the lighting too. They definitely add to the appeal of the place. My first impression of Jimmy John's is certainly good.

The soft opening menu was in effect at the time of this posting, which included a few appetizers, boneless wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a kids menu at fair prices. The menu will be expanding and offering more appetizers, street tacos, and pizzas soon. The atmosphere is old school casual with seating up at the bar, table seating and booths, TVs on the walls. I stopped in at The Hedge Bistro for a late lunch and to cool off on a very sunny and humid day. I sat up at the bar and given their soft opening menu. I got an ice quickly ordered the All American Burger ($13 plus tax) with fries. My food was served to me in 12 minutes after ordering. The burger was served open face with tomato slices, crisp lettuce, red onions, blue cheese crumbles (my choice on top of a firm fresh grilled beef burger patty on a soft toasted bun. The hot golden coated fries were typical crisp outside and soft inside, ketchup cup provided on plate (could've used a bit more). After I was finished, I got the check which was $14.04 with tax before tip (paying cash) or $14.60 with tax before tip (paying by card) and of course I went with the green option. Overall, a pretty good burger and fries lunch in a cool place. Afterwards, I headed back outside towards the greens and it was very steamy out there.

With an expiration date looming and hours reduced with the end of the golf season, we decided to stop in quick before their 6pm closing tonight. Parking lot was nearly empty, and the restaurant and bar had only a few folks seated, but we were welcomed and told we had plenty of time to sit and have a meal. And what a meal we had! We were offered our choice of seating, and chose a booth to spread out in. As there was hardly anyone there, I figured we weren't taking up valuable seating. My only complaint of the evening was the TVs were a bit loud for the size of the "crowd" there - probably turned up to overcome the boisterous golfers who show up after their rounds. The wife and I ordered the Chile Lime Shrimp street tacos. So, so good! Flavorful, and a surprising amount of spicy heat - we made some faces but couldn't help but continue eating that deliciousness! Topped it off with a tasty Speckled Pig Brewing "Restitution" IPA offering and a Guinness for the wife. I don't even like IPAs typically, but it was excellent. Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. While we waited for our food to come out, we received a surprised visit from "Connor, the emotional support dog". I love animals, so I laughed when he just appeared at the table. His owner, who I assume is the owner who runs the restaurant, wasn't too far behind and apologized for the dog's intrusion on our evening, but since we're animal lovers, it was very welcome. We chatted with the owner and visited with Connor, who was such a calm and sweet dog. When our tacos showed up, the owner excused himself and Connor to let us eat. The woman who greeted us when we first came in also checked with us near the end of our meal to ask how we felt about our meal. We had a wonderful time and both of us expressed how impressed we were with our tacos. A second beer for me, and then our most difficult decision was what to try for dessert. The young lady waiting on us gave us a dizzying array of options, all of which sounded excellent, but we settled on a lemon raspberry cake option. I hope we didn't moan too loudly as we enjoyed it so much. Our experience was so enjoyable. I'm thrilled we have yet another gift certificate to use up here, as we'll be looking forward to our next visit. Unfortunately their hours are limited due to the end of daylight and golf season. More people need to come out and enjoy this gem.

They also have bigger function rooms for large events and weddings. There is also outside patio seating overlooking the golf course. I stopped by The Pines recently on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon to watch my favorite NY football team on TV. I took a seat up at the bar in front of the TV that had my game on. I was given a menu and an ice water. I decided on a special offering, which was the Salmon Burger ($18 plus tax) served with deli salad, and dill pickle spear. My plate of food arrived in 8 minutes after ordering. The thick salmon burger had a soft housemade salmon patty, leaf lettuce, tomato slice, dill aioli on a toasted brioche bun. The deli salad was a creamy macaroni salad. After my game concluded, I got the check which was $19.44 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food I had was pretty good and the service here was adequate and I was able to take my time here and watch my game. However, since people were coming and going from the outside, there were flies hanging around in the room and I had to shoo several away. Other than that, The Pines Restaurant is a good place for food and drinks, especially after golfing.

The large subb is a bit more than what other chains charge, but I think what you get is slightly larger to compensate, and the bread quite fresh. The staff turns over fairly frequently - which is not atypical for restaurants such as this. The food here is consistent in its "average-ness" It is good but nothing overly remarkable. We generally feel their sandwiches are a bit on the skimpy side in terms of the amount of meat they put on it. Yes, you can order "double meat" for an extra charge. However, in our opinion the double meat should be the standard meat. Loading a sub with shredded lettuce does not equate it to being a satisfying meal. In fairness their competitor up the street is pretty much the same. So if you just want a quick grab and go you can order in advance but don't necessarily think you won't still be hungry after you have finished. Just a bit more of a meat portion on the subs could definitely earn an extra star.

I uploaded the stock building exterior shot so you can try to identify it. You go in the lobby entrance and to the back of the building, it's just in a small office space.
