Wow, the foot-long must be 18 inches. Or at least I only expected 8 foot long and ended up with 18 inches of pure pleasure. The amount of meat on the sub was perfect. Certainly no slouch in the meat department. The fresh veggies, fresh roll, and the secret sauce they put on it to give it the twang in your mouth made for an amazing lunch after a hard day of work. Will definitely be back. Friendly, service, good food and quick.

I've heard of Jimmy John's but had never tried them. So, when I walked in, I had that sub-shop trepidation....what is the ordering process? What do they have? What are my choices? The one not thing I did know is that I wanted to try their "Unwich." The Unwich is, essentially, a wrap sandwich wrapped in lettuce. So, it's keto and low-carb option. You can get any of their subs as an Unwich. I had the Bootlegger Club (roast beef, turkey, lettuce, tomato, Mayo). It was absolutely delicious! As I say, I knew nothing going in. The staff were super friendly, helpful, cheery, and made it easy forme to figure things out. The food looked real and fresh. They have quite a bit to choose from. I will definitely try something different when I go back.

I was interested to try JJ's a few years ago when it opened up in Guilderland. After trying it out, I have been hooked - my favorite sub place. First things first: the only kind of cheese they have is provolone, so if that isn't your thing, JJ's might not be for you. However, I know a few folks who swore they couldn't get past that, but managed to. I am a vegetarian, so I get the #6, which is a veggie sandwich. There is a larger version of this as well. Lettuce, tomato, cukes, guac, mayo on bread. You can make substitutions - for example, my daughter doesn't like tomato, so they are happy to leave that off. The bread is nice, not too crumbly or doughy, and not leathery either. The ingredients have always seemed fresh too, especially compared to some other chains. Their pickles are great too! Service is always great here, friendly and fast. The shop is clean, bathrooms have always been clean too. This has been a really great go-to as a busy parent when I want something fresh on the go.

Great food, quick service and a very clean venue. I typically get the unwich (lettuce leaf instead of bread) which is perfect for gluten allergies or if you are on a diet. My only beef with the unwich is that they charge you the same as if you were getting a sandwich with bread. Also the pickles rock!

    Barbecue chips (really good!)

Jimmy John's is a good standby for subs. There's little to complain about-- only issue is the messed up my order slightly. They were quick in fixing the issue. Surprisingly the pickles were really good and chips were great with the sub. It's a nice Saturday lunch place if that's what you're looking for.

I love the lettuce wraps, so good. Friendly staff always get it right. They have 3 new parking spots in front of the building.

Stick with your local sub shops! This place is a waste of money! I said where's the beef?

I always loved Jimmy Johns. First experienced it in Ithaca during college and have been a fan ever since. This place was super clean. Service was quick and more importantly the sandwich was delicious. I ordered the JJ Gargantuan because it comes with the most meat and it did not fail to deliver on deliciousness. I recommend this place especially since most delis are closed on weekends; it will not disappoint!

This was my first time at Jimmy John's and I must say, I'm impressed. The service was really quick, and my sub was really fresh. It seemed like everything was prepared this morning. The tables, booths, and facilities were really clean too. I like the quotes on the wall and the lighting too. They definitely add to the appeal of the place. My first impression of Jimmy John's is certainly good.

Not much food for a big price. Small subs and not much on them. Better to go to a locally owned deli!!!!

But among the chains in the Capital District area, Mr. Subb is usually my first choice, and I especially like this one. The inside is clean and quiet with quite a few tables if you want to eat in. During slower times, there may only be 1 person behind the counter though. The large subb is a bit more than what other chains charge, but I think what you get is slightly larger to compensate, and the bread quite fresh. You have lots of options, and a large choice of additions. You can also get the classic Neba roast beef sandwich I remember from years ago.

The staff turns over fairly frequently - which is not atypical for restaurants such as this. The food here is consistent in its "average-ness" It is good but nothing overly remarkable. We generally feel their sandwiches are a bit on the skimpy side in terms of the amount of meat they put on it. Yes, you can order "double meat" for an extra charge. However, in our opinion the double meat should be the standard meat. Loading a sub with shredded lettuce does not equate it to being a satisfying meal. In fairness their competitor up the street is pretty much the same. So if you just want a quick grab and go you can order in advance but don't necessarily think you won't still be hungry after you have finished. Just a bit more of a meat portion on the subs could definitely earn an extra star.

I approached the counter and my order was taken promptly by the manager. There was a lot of fooling around and laughing with the employees and the manager. I placed my order and paid. Within a very short time my order was handed to me So far so good. However, my order was prepared completely incorrectly! I didn't realize it until I sat down and unwrapped it. I was in a hurry and didn't have time to bring the food back to the counter so I ended up throwing most of it away. There should have been a lot less fooling around and far more attention paid to accurately processing the order. I checked the receipt and the manager who had taken my order actually was the one who made the mistake. Not a good look for a manager! This is not the first time this particular location has disappointed me. I had actually stayed away for quite a long time but figured I'd give them one more try. Once again they blew it and have lost me as a customer forever. There's a competitor right up the street and that's where I will be heading in the future.

Wireless internet? In a tavern? You mean enjoy wings and a beer in a casual environment and catch up on my Yelping at the same time? Sign me up. I don't know why I didn't listen to my instincts and run away when I first stepped foot in this place. It had the distinctive smell of toilet soap-cakes. Plus the restaurant was almost deserted. Two women in their 80s were eating a sandwich, drinking a bottle of bud (from a glass, mind you, they were ladies) and playing keno. You get the picture. I could go into more detail, but it's just not worth it. The wings that I ordered crispy, were some of the slimiest I have had in the area. The blue cheese dressing had turned and was curdled. A few of the wings were mangled, with bones sticking out in all directions. I'm a pretty tough customer. It takes a lot to turn my stomach. But I actively tried (and ultimately succeeded) in keeping those wings down. It wasn't easy, but mint gum and herbal tea are very soothing. And the punchline: Yes they have wireless internet access... but it's password protected.

First off I'm not sure what food people in these reviews are eating, because in my experience the Italian mix sub was very bland, the bread was dry, and the meat looked pale and weird. That ambience of the place was nostalgic which is the reason why I gave it 3 stars and not 2. The woman helping me was friendly enough but made it a point to tell me how gas prices were fine at $4.10 per gallon as long as Trump was the president, which annoyed me because it gives an indication that details don't matter here. Given the taste of the $15 small sub I paid for it definitely tracks. Be your own critic, but for me it's the history of this place and not the food has people coming back. I won't be one of them.

Some notable changes I noticed during the most recent visit include a big flat screen TV and tables and chairs indoors. The freezer apparently was out of order, but I would have loved to get their tiramisu which is also one of the best I've ever had. Their sub always strikes the right balance in the dressing, bread, meats, and toppings. Toppings are consistently good quality, and you can customise your sub by asking staff what you do and don't want on it. I hope they stay healthy and busy for decades to come.
