Never heard of Jimmy John's until last Saturday nor Sandwich is my normal go to selections of food. One of my staff suggested to try this place. I ordered "beach club", it was visually awesome and tasted even better than expected. Bread burn and ingredients were so well fresh and I immediately said to myself OMG, I could eat this daily!!!!!! I am a loyal JJ customer until today. I have a Jersey Mikes I can walk to, but I go out of my way to JJ because I used to like it better. Ordered a "Big" John and its a ripoff the amount of Roast beef in it. You can sat its measured portions but its never been this cheency. I might as well just eat a piece of bread. So I called the store but the manager who sounded like a young tweaker just said its pre measured portions what do you want me to do about it? Then "do you want the Gen Mgr ph#?" I ordered a turkey, avocado and cheese sandwich on wheat. The first thing wrong with it is they use slices bread; second is that it was very bitter and I couldn't even eat a complete half. I have gone to this shop several times and ordered different sandwiches but never on wheat but decided to get wheat this time due to being a diabetic. I was really frustrated with the cashier here. We told him 2 combos and that the order was To Go. After he's done charging us, he tells us that he didn't charge combos. Why would we want sandwiches and chips but with no drinks? I mean it would've been smart to get a combo right?!?! Like common sense dude!! So we're already annoyed at this point and tell him to forget it. We don't want to place an order for 2 drinks and he gets that wrong too. Been loving this place since they opened a few months ago but recently went in to pick up my order and got to see what goes on behind the counter since it wasn't quite ready yet. A female employee with waist-length hair was out in the parking lot talking to someone in a car when I arrived. After I'd been in there for a few minutes she came into the store, greeted her co-workers, played with her hair a little and then checked on the bread rising in the warmer. She then played with her hair some more and put on an apron and swung her long hair around to her front (on the apron) to make sure it was up to her liking, then flipped it back over her shoulder, put on a pair of gloves and started making sandwiches for another customer. At no time did she wash her hands or do anything to restrain her impressively long pony-tail. I reached out to Jimmy John's via their corporate site providing some feedback about how this did not seem to be in line with safe food handling practices and after over a week I've received no response despite providing them with my contact info and asking to be contacted. I hate for this to become a problem because I do love their sandwiches but I will not be back to this location, or probably any location until this issue is addressed. I don't care how clean you are, your hair or anything on it, is not something I want anywhere near my sandwich. The California Retail Food Code is very clear on this. "113969. Hair restraints (a) Except as specified in subdivision (b), all FOOD EMPLOYEEs preparing, serving, or handling FOOD or UTENSILs shall wear hair restraints such as hats, hair coverings, or nets which are designed and worn to effectively keep their hair from contacting nonPREPACKAGED FOOD, clean EQUIPMENT, UTENSILs, LINENS, and unwrapped SINGLE-USE ARTICLES. " A visor with a waist length pony tail is not an adequate restraint or covering. read more

Meh... It's good for a quick sandwich but nothing to write home about. Sort of just a plain Jane sandwich one set up from Subway. PRO TIP: make sure to grab or ask for napkins. They don't hand you any when you receive your sandwich. They are hidden behind the counter and don't have dispensers. You know those quirky advertisements for Jimmy John's on the radio about how quick they are? Yea...those are SPOT on. The food IS fast. But it's also good. Especially the bread. I LOVE BREAD. Super easy to order from their menu. I like easy. I like fast. Insert goof-ball and inappropriate joke here... This location was decently clean, even the bathroom, which was refreshing. I first tried Jimmy Johns at a hockey game. The sandwiches tasted surprisingly fresh! They're sandwiches are simple but the ingredients are top notch and I think that is the JJ difference. PS: I can't stand Subway, it just smells weird and sour to me. JJ is 100x better. That being said, I was really pleased to see one open up nearby. I just recently tested out their delivery service. Minimum is $5, delivery fee was a $1 and some change. My order arrived on time and made as specified! Ordering online was really easy. My favorite so far is the #11 Country Club. read more

We placed an order twice at this location (Centerpoint in La Palma, CA), and both times, there were issues! So, beware! First time, we placed an order online. We were glad to see there was a status page where you could see the progress of your order which showed when your order was ready. We waited for a while, but no movement on the status. After about 15 min., my wife had enough and called to ask about our order. What do you know?! They said it *had been* ready! My wife went to pick it up and asked, "How long does it usually take to make a sandwich?" Reply was, "almost right after the order is placed." She then asked, "How come the status on the app never said it was ready?" Reply, "Oh! We forgot ..." Strike #1!! Second time, we placed an order online last Fri, 09/13/19. This was right before we left on a camping trip to take the sandwiches with us. Since we were driving about 155 miles on a Friday afternoon, we figured we'd just have J. J. for dinner after we got there. This time, we knew better than to wait for the status on the app to change to "Ready." We just went to pick it up and we were on our way. After 4 1/2 hrs of stop-and-go, we arrived at our destination - hungry. I was looking forward to eating my giant-size roast beef sandwich. My wife got #9 (Italian night club) and myself, #10 (Hunter's club). I open the first sandwich and see salami and ham. Ahhh, that's #9; not mine. Ok, the next one is mine! I open it to see double roast beef? NO!! Another one with salami and ham!! WTH!!?? Where is my double-roast beef #10!!?? Nowhere, that's where!! They gave us two #9 instead! I was FURIOUS!!! After driving 4 1/2 hrs, I was "hangry," ready to march in to complain! This is a HUGE strike #2!! I did not complain with the first issue, but this 2nd issue really ticked me off! After we returned, I wrote a complaint in J.J's feedback section. Received a response on Monday morning, not from the location where I ordered from, but from a corporate headquarters in IL. In a nutshell, they were apologetic, but that it would be up to the owner of this location to make this right. Here's an excerpt from that e-mail response: "This store is independently owned and operated by one of our franchisees. Not only will your feedback be shared among our team, it will be escalated directly to the franchise owner to immediately address and correct the issues. We ask someone from the ownership to contact you and make it right." Will see if anyone from that location will contact me and "make it right!" Jimmy Johns! Welcome to La Palma! A lot of you will probably be unfamiliar with Jimmy Johns, but trust me when I say it only takes one sandwich to get addicted. The food is really great. My go-to is the Italian Club (no onions, no mayo, add dijon & bacon). Try their wheat bread as well, its delicious! The atmosphere was great. It's difficult to see when you're driving down Orangethorpe. It's tucked away in the plaza, but it's a treasure to find. They will definitely be busy on the weekdays since it's next to a lot of businesses, but this isn't SUBWAY; sandwiches are made "freaky" fast. If you live nearby, they can deliver to you as well. P.S. make sure to grab a cookie on the way out. It's a sandwich shop, but don't get it twisted; their cookies are the bomb. read more

Ordered 2 sandwiches online for delivery. Both sandwiches were delivered exactly as ordered. Quality ingredients/fresh. The even bigger plus here is DELIVERY!!! From the time I ordered online to delivery it was a little bit over 30 mins and that is outstanding! There was a $2.50 delivery fee and I always tip the driver. I've had food from this location, maybe once or twice, but it was always brought to me. Tonight, however, I stopped in to get food for my wife and myself. I knew the food would be good, i'm easy to please, but I decided to write this review because the two ladies working this evening were an exceptional example of stellar customer service. They were not only friendly and knowledgeable, but extremely accommodating as I was there for my wife, who has some dietary restrictions. I didn't catch the ladies' names, but they were a shining example of the best parts of the customer service industry. I will be coming back here for the impression they left with me alone. Went in trying to order a simple sandwich. "Cheese sandwich with cucumber, please!" I was told they didn't have such a sandwich... they would only do cheese. I the asked if I could add a side of cucumbers and I would happily pay for it. Both the girl at the counter and the sandwich chef said "Can't do that". I mentioned that I had ordered the same sandwich for my 9 year old before... to which they answered "sorry, we don't have that". On Monday around 11:30am after ordering my sandwich I noticed that there was The New Frenchie. I said I would like to get one along with my other sandwich to try it out. The person at the counter said that the bread just got put in the oven so it will be a while until ready. I said no problem, I will come back in a few days to try it out. I went back today around 11:45am to order the Frenchie and was told by the same young man that they were not available yet as the bread has not been cooked yet. I asked him why and he said "I don't know?" I asked him when would they be ready and he said sometime after 1:00pm. Why advertise a new product when I can't order it? Very frustrating. You would thing that noon would be a busy time, not after 1:00pm. Maybe an explanation by management would help me understand why? read more

I came in at 11:25 for a quick sandwich before an appointment. "Freaky fast," right? There were two other people in there and two employees. Not busy at all. At 11:37, I had to go bother the guy behind the counter and ask where my sandwich was. I could see my sandwich half finished just sitting there. But this guy had started to make two other sandwiches instead of just finishing mine? "I'm the only one here today," the guy snapped. Except he wasn't. He had some other guy dinking around, not really doing much. The thing is, every time I come to this location, wait times are terrible and the employees seem... confused. My wife and I love coming here! The sandwiches are great. Yum Yum. I normally get the tuna sandwich. That's a good option if you enjoy tuna sandwiches. The employees are great. Theres this cute guy at the front with glasses and hair that flops over his hat. We only come when hes working because he gives great service and is really a nice fella. Picked up a couple of sandwiches last night and brought them back home only to discover that they had limp brown lettuce on them so I drove back and brought it to their attention. The two girls proceeded to simply take the meat out of the sandwiches and throw them onto fresh bread and fresh lettuce.
