Food is fine, but the store needs a new manager. I used the app to order a sandwich while I was at work. I chose the time slot "12:15-12:30 p.m." for pick up. I received the confirmation at 11:39 a.m. via email. Around 11:50 a.m., I received notice that my order was ready. Already? They were 25 minutes early!!! I had to drop everything at work to go pick it up -- I hate soggy sandwiches! If I wanted a soggy sandwich for lunch, I would've made myself one at home and brought it to work! Good thing my work is pretty flexible about lunches! So when I see the store manager, I ask him about the time slots provided on the app. I needed to know whether it's something I shouldn't even bother with in the future. He kept saying, "sometimes we make them a few minutes early." A few minutes early?!?!? A few minutes early?!?! I don't know what his definition of a "few minutes" is, but 25 minutes isn't just a FEW minutes! I'm a legal professional and am accustomed to people exaggerating and stretching the truth, but even by those standards, he's abusing the term. All he had to do was apologize (I gave him plenty of opportunities to do so) and tell me that (1) this was a one-time isolated incident and that next time, they'll have it ready at the time of my choosing or (2) don't bother picking a time range because his store doesn't go by it. Instead, he kept repeating that sometimes they make them "a few minutes early." He refused to take responsibility even after I pointed out that 25 minutes is more than merely a "few minutes." He's obviously in need of additional training. Better yet, just save the training costs and replace him. His response was absolutely ridiculous. They also added onions to my sandwich, which I never added because tuna sandwich already has diced onions in it. SMH. read more

If you've had 1 sub, you've had them all. **Meh** (shrugs shoulders) You have your usual suspects - deli meat of your choice (turkey, roast beef, ham, salami, capicola, bacon or tuna), standard condiments and veggies including cucumber, hot peppers, onion and for a twist, sprouts. Hmmmmmm. +5 points for their quality meat. After all, everyone doesn't offer capicola. Sounds good, huh? The only drawback to that is they only have 1 choice for cheese, my friends: Provolone. While it's a nice cheese, sometimes you want a little Swiss or American, maybe cheddar, etc. It's also important to note that they charge $1.00 per slice if it isn't already included on your sandwich. Ouch! Mighty fine cheese, indeed. They bake their bread, but so does Subway. Jimmy John's also has "giant club sandwiches" served on thick, sliced bread with double meat or cheese for $7.50 a pop. That's a lot of chewing for anyone who likes that much bread. Bottom line: The sandwiches are okay and on the pricey side. But....given their quality meat and cheese, you get what you pay for. My office had high hopes for this place. We never had Jimmy John's at our office before and we decided to give it a try. I called in and ordered sandwiches with chips and drinks and overall the ordering process was easy, especially being able to have them put a name with each person's order. I placed the order well ahead of time and it was ready to be picked up as planned. Parking here isn't bad, just park in the parking structure next door and bring your ticket in to be validated for up to 1 hour. The order was packed into a box with the drinks, sandwiches and chips neatly arranged, but now is where things took a turn. My office has never been more disappointed in the quality of these sandwiches. One of our managers made the statement " I've never been more disrespected in my life." it seemed like the ingredients were just thrown in without a care and smashed together. The meat portions are skimpy at best and after seeing his sandwich I'd agree with him. I don't understand why they get such good reviews. I've been here once before and didn't bother with a review, but the whole process was rushed and I didn't get exactly what I wanted, but i didn't want to bother making something of nothing. My sandwich from jimmy johns is always very tasty and the service is always friendly. I would have given 4-5 stars however twice now they've forgotten my avocado spread. It's an extra $1 for this (which already insane considering the amount of avocado they put on) but all I ask is that it actually gets ON the sandwich. I am somewhat of a regular at Jimmie John's. Easy to order online. Fast pick up. My problem I have them is the Employees aren't reading the prompters on screen. I usually order the #6 veggie. Mass amounts of provolone cheese on it without that strange avacado spread. Just onions n peppers. Vinigaritte on it. Very simple you'd think. About 4xs now they messed my sandwich up. The put tomatoes n nasty bland avacodo spread. Sandwich not cut in half. Greasy mayonnaise on it. I've had to tell management. He was very polite and credited me for another sandwich. Jimmy John's is more or less the same no matter where you go in the country, but this one really stood out to me and deserved a special shoutout. I was recently in Long Beach and my office was a few blocks away so I ordered lunch delivered to me one afternoon when I was preparing for a big meeting and didn't have time to leave. The delivery guy was prompt and even remember a straw for my diet coke (awwww). The sandwich (I got the Pepe) was the same as I remembered it and delicious as always. What really sets this location apart from the hundreds of others is that later that afternoon I got a call from the store manager thanking me for my order and asking if I had any feedback on my experience. It's funny how the quality between franchises can vary so much. I went to one in Detroit and loved it, I went to one in Hollywood and hated it. I actually really liked the food that they served me here. I got an Italian Night Club. This stuff is definitely better than the subway in the area which tastes weird.. The only thing I didn't like was when I got my food and asked for a bag the guy was like "down below" because it was on the counter. It seemed a little rude, he couldn't say that the bags were on the counter? Then he was like "everyone makes the mistake". I'm from Ohio where Jimmy Johns was my all time favorite sandwich/sub place to eat! There was a few about 30-40 minutes away but this one is much closer and I am thrilled it opened! This location was clean, quick, and delicious! The Vito is my favorite, but on their sliced 7 grain wheat bread! It is the BEST wheat bread ever. So soft and thick! You can also ask for them to add some sprouts and peppers! Mmm! The staff is very friendly and quick. And so far I have never gotten home with the wrong order or a mistake! So that's a plus. Service: Since the long line was out the store and halfway down the street, they had two employees handing out menus and taking orders. Although the line was line, it was no more than 10-15 minutes from the back of the line, paying at the cashier, and then picking up your sandwich. The area in front of the cashier is sort of tiny hence we were standing outside. Food: Since their 8inch sandwiches were on sale, I ordered several. #1 PEPE® Real applewood smoked ham and provolone cheese garnished with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. #4 TURKEY TOM® Fresh sliced turkey breast, topped with lettuce, tomato and mayo. (The original) #5 VITO® The original Italian sub with genoa salami, provolone, capicola, onion, lettuce, tomato & a real tasty Italian vinaigrette. (Hot peppers by request) Free extras: Cucumber, Grey Poupon Dijon Mustard, Hot Cherry Peppers, Italian Vinaigrette, Jimmy Mustard, Onions, Oregano, and sprouts. Extras: Avocado Spread, and bacon. They don't have any small togo containers so I could get oil/vinegar on the side. I tried all of the sandwiches without mayo. Added hot peppers on the side. I prefer to see them making the sandwich and being able to request ingredients during the process. I guess I am used to subway and jersey mikes. I did enjoy them but felt that I would get more at subways. Subway's sandwiches are a footlong versus their 8 inches. While visiting the mid West, I was introduced to Jimmy Johns after my roommate suggested we order subs for dinner. I ordered the Turkey Tom, and was treated to a fast, tasty, standard turkey sub, for a reasonable cost. What I was most impressed about, was the fact that Jimmy Johns offered delivery! When I was driving down Broadway in Long Beach, I noticed that a Jimmy Johns had opened in Long Beach. My husband and I were hungry after a long day of volunteering, and a sandwich sounded great. We went into the Broadway location and were greeted with friendly service (and hilarious artwork- which included facts, quotes, and humorous sayings) to keep us entertained in line. We ordered a Turkey Tom and Big John, and were not disappointed. The bread, meats, veggies, and condiment options are high quality and delicious. Unfortunately for me, there was only 1 cheese option- but that didn't detract from our experience. What I AM bummed about is that this chain is not open late, and has a small delivery radius. In college (Purdue University) an ice cold corona and a #11 Country club (stuffed with turkey and applewood-smoked ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato and mayo) were staples in my everyday diet. I can't say much has changed other than the beer now being wine. I LOVE Jimmy Johns- yummy sandwiches prepared with freshly baked bread, crisp refreshing veggies and thin slices of premium meats and cheeses. All Jimmy Johns franchises are not created equal, but this location is on top of their game! Love the validated parking, friendly staff and smaller intimate shop. Also, after asking for months when they would deliver to 1st and elm the Jimmy John gods finally made it happen. I order at least once a week and receive my order in ~10 min. You can order online and pick it up quick. They pull out the unneeded bread, which is awesome. Their prices are quite reasonable, with variable sizes.
