Been to this neighborhood location numerous times over the years; however, it appears that there has been a general decline in their freaky fast promise, customer service, and accuracy of order. The past couple of times I've gone I ordered ahead per usual through the app, but still had to wait 5 to even over 10 minutes to receive my orders. This latest episode had them calling my phone to tell me they were out of roast beef. Mind you this was 6:30 in the evening. The previous time they gave me a wrap instead of a sandwich. Sandwiches were not cut in half as requested either. At least they called to tell me, which I can appreciate. Went thru drive thru and requested 3 sandwiches. 1 bootlegger club and 2 Country Club on wheat. They ran out of wheat , only had 2 slices for 1 sandwich. I took what they had. Came home, got 2 Hunter's Club sandwiches instead of Country Club and none of my sandwiches were cut in half as I had specifically requested. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager and was told there was no manager on duty so I talked to someone by the name of Anna. Anna had a heavy Spanish accent and I couldn't understand what she was saying and she had to keep repeating asking me what the problem was. I went back to the restaurant to return wrong items and try to resolve this, once again, no wheat bread but I was told that they have white bread instead but I got French bread which is not what I wanted. No apologies, no customer service at all. The other staff, Naliyah was condescending and said if I wanted the wheat, come back tomorrow. Incidentally, Naliyah was the one who input the wrong order. I should have looked up these reviews before even giving this Jimmy John's location a chance. Pulled up to the drive thru and sat there unassisted for 5 minutes, before deciding to pull up to the window. After 2 minutes a guy opens the window and tells us that he's the only person working and we should've kept waiting at the speaker until he got to us because he was busy. He clearly had a bad attitude and did not care for his job. I explained that there was no way of knowing he was the only person or that he would eventually get to helping us. He said "you should've kept waiting" then continued with the attitude and said "you don't have to eat here". I replied with "you don't have to work here" and he quickly closed the window and walked away. Needless to say, we went elsewhere and will not return. We have always enjoyed patronizing this location of JJ, however, this was the first time that the sandwich that I shared with my husband was not prepared well at all. I could tell that the young man was new and was trying to do multitask, however, he fell short on making our sandwich up to normal, good standard. The sandwich was very sloppy and the meat didn't appear to be all of the items. The turkey which is my favorite was all broken up and obviously missing pieces. As I leaned over and watched him fix my sandwich, he seemed confused and not sure if he actually got all the packs of meat needed for the sandwich. He also had a hard time getting the mean off of the pack which may have resulted in the meat sticking to the pack and some of the turkey being left on the pack or dropped on the table. The sandwiches in the past have always been consistantly made with all the meats included and looking neat but this time was not the case! The young woman started the sandwich and was very good and obviously experienced but things went downhill when she moved the sandwich along the table for the new young man to finish it as she started another order. The bread was not as fresh as usual this time, either. Overall, I did not enjoy my sandwich and my husband also commented that the sandwich was not as appealing as in the past. Separately, it appears that the meat has been shortened in amount for each sandwich, which makes it not a good value for the sandwich. I'm not sure that I will go back to this location and especially not during the holidays when there are likely more new staff that need better training. What I liked best about JJ in the past was that the bread was always very fresh and the meat was a good quality but now I am not sure if this is the case. The food is a 5 but this place has really gone downhill. The poor employees continue to put out great sandwiches amid the chaos of broken intercom systems, credit card machines not working, it's always something. This was my 4th bad experience in a row as they asked me to pull to the adjacent parking lot to wait for my "call ahead" order. #1 the microphone didn't work at the drive up, I pulled up to the pickup window - my call in order wasn't ready. I give them my credit card and they can't process it, because the machine/computer not working. My food is eventually delivered to my car and I'm told my credit card would be back shortly.......My credit card was delivered by Chad the on-staff manager. He was very polite and apologetic. Awful experience in every aspect. Walk in and 6 employees look at us with zero acknowledgment or a hi. Stood there about 5 minutes, then a guy comes up annoyed and says "you ready?". The staff at this Jimmy John's is always so nice! I come here multiple times a week for a healthy & affordable lunch and am always greeted with a friendly face and conversation. Rude drive through person. I was just wearing a black mask and had a black sweater on. The drive through person he had the nerve to ask me if I just came from a funeral. No,... but I shared my mother had just passed away from cancer. He kept going on and on about it. I will start this review by saying that my wife did not look at the receipt or check the order when she received it at the drive-through window. Had she done that, she could have fixed the problem before she left. That said, this is the third order over the last few months that has been messed up. You have to go back with the order to exchange it and today we were busy working in the yard and it was not practical to do so. I decided to call and speak to a manager. I spoke with Nate, who said he was the manager. I explained to him that our order was wrong. My wife ordered a wheat hoagie roll and the sliced wheat bread on our sandwiches but both were white bread. The condiments were also wrong. Our order taker was Thomas. Nate did not apologize or seem to have any remorse over the bad order. He said Thomas merely entered the order he was given, and that perhaps the wrong order was conveyed to him. All I can say is I prefer Subway over Jimmy John's and my wife preferred Jimmy John's until today. She has learned and we will now patronize Subway when we want sandwiches. Make sure you check your order when you get it at this location as they seem to have a problem entering things correctly. This is not the way to run a successful business. One where the general manager doesn't know how to keep up with their produce orders (destined for failure). The other, where the employees hate their job so much that they're willing to lie to customers and say, "oh sorry we rAn oUt oF UnwiCh" even though everyone knows there's more lettuce in the back. And even if they just didn't know how to make more unwich, that would be just as bad. Cuz in order to be a real manager you should be fully capable of prepping unwich.
