I will be honest, I haven't visited this place s a whole, since that time they had a deal with either free subs, or very cheap subs, and they ran out of bread. This is my first time to this location after 5+ years of not visiting. I can say that this location had great service, but the order was made fast! I ordered the #7 regular with a pickle. It was a fresh bite with some good flavors. I was ahead of any lunch rush, getting there before 11:30 am. But it still has a great taste, compared to those that are in the same type of business. The ingredients were fresh and kept their original profile It honestly felt like a rare experience or one you do not indulge in often. They got 4 stars from me because of that. If it is consistent to all visitors from open to close, then that more than deserves the 5th star. I will test this out soon enough. But for now great job! read more

I placed an order today, and after 20 minutes, called to see why I had not received my delivery, and I was told it's on the shelf, ready to go. Seven more minutes, STILL not here! Finally tried a Jimmy John's and we were so overwhelmed we asked the employee which is the most popular. He suggested the Italian sandwich but then my mom says she wants a wrap so I remember the commercials advertising the chicken ceasers wrap so we get that. It was good besides the croutons were weird but I wished it had more sauce maybe oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. That's when I announced I prefer subway for my sandwiches. The protein is fresh and my son's sandwich was good. The wrap is definitely not filling. I had a shrimp salad after. Maybe next time I will try a real sandwich. read more

Had to have been the worst service I have ever received. The person ringing up the order was extremely rude. I walked up and asked for a Beach sandwich, regular and then a Beach sandwich, unwich. Then I proceeded to ask for tomatoes and onions and the unwich. The second employee stated that the sandwich already has tomato's on it and asked which sandwich has the onions. When I repeated myself, the cashier very rudely stated, "that's not what you just said". He continued to rolled his eyes and huff and puff. It was honestly the worst experience I have ever had. There's never a line (in my experience, and i usually go about once a week) and my sandwhich is ready in 45 seconds. kind of scary how fast it's ready, but also really convenient when i'm slammed at work and just need something to satiate my hunger. Price's arent bad (i think i pay about $6 for a sandwich) and the little road bike uniforms that the delivery boys wear are worth every penny. read more

When I looked over at the person making my sandwich I was apalled. The young lady had stringy hair and she kept swiping her hands through her hair with the gloves and touching my food. These guys are FAST. I ordered Jimmy John's for lunch the other day. My co-worker and I decided to time them to see if they really are "freaky fast". From the time we submitted the order online to the time they walked through the door with our sandwiches was 8 MINUTES. I'm pretty sure all of their delivery people are training for a triathlon. Impressive. I've also ordered from this location for work lunch meetings, which can sometimes involve 10-15 people, and even with the higher sandwich count, Jimmy John's is still just as fast. I ordered the Ultimate Porker (its my all time fav) I ordered it to be delivered at 1pm. At 1:11pm i called the store:14 E BROADWAY SALT LAKE CITY, UT 84111 801.542.7827. I was told that the order left at 1pm and should be here shortly. Well never mind that they were late, I let that go. But the kicker was: The biker dropped my order off at the security desk and said they didn't have my phone number. I am up two floors and the security office had to bring my lunch to me. Security said "you need to put your phone number on the order or they cant get it to you. Well for one, if my number was not on the receipt they could've brought it up to me regardless bu they did not. After getting my lunch from the officer and taking it to my desk, i reviewed the receipt. Not only is my phone number on it, but so is my 2nd floor location. (I would post a pic but i do not want my phone number and location posted publicly) I tipped this person in advance 20%. With that it would have been nice to have a peaceful lunch. I'm from Illinois and grew up eating Jimmy John's! I love it. The bread is perfect, as is the amount of filling in the sandwich. I'm not fancy and order their roast beef with cheese every time. Also worth trying are their barbeque chips. Dollar sub day was the best day of my life. I've been to this location many times and have always left satisfied. The service is good and very fast. We had a meeting that went trough lunch so our the meeting organizer passed around the Jimmy John's menu. I have been to JJs in Layton and walked away a bit underwhelmed. The sandwich I ordered was well constructed and tasted very good. The hoagie roll had a nice texture. The first time I had a JJs I thought they were a bit light on the meat. This time they seemed to do a bit better. I also had a moist and delicious oatmeal raisin cooked. Before this delivery I had about decided to give up on JJs. After lunch I decided to give them another chance. Oh, yes, the delivery was very quick and there were no mistakes even though we had about 20 people in the meeting. I've been going to this sandwich shop since it opened. They have gotten my order wrong because of the same lady at the register the last 5 times I went in. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but I would wager $1k that the lady hates me and does it on purpose. I always get my order to go so it is always too late to ask them to fix it. This time after I ordered, I watched carefully and noticed that they were about to use the wrong bread and put on tomatoes, so I said hey I wanted wheat and no tomatoes thanks and the lady went ballistic and got really loud and said I'm always difficult when I come in and I just said sorry, I would like my money back and she said no I'm refusing to serve you and then the manager or someone came and gave me a refund. I'm a fan of the JJ's. I always get the #4 with hot peppers and am happy and satisfied. I need to find a way to hijack the 'free smells' sign. I do think it is hilarious that the Squirrel Brothers twisty-ice-cream-cone remains on top of the establishment, but is now painted black... so now it just looks like evil ice cream, or something way worse... :) And the JJ's crew does not mess around with their freaky-fast sandwich reputation. There customer service is wonderful I could not be happier to go in to this restaurant. They always greet you with a smile when you walk in and are quick at making your food. Freaky Fast. Most of the time. There is one cashier, the one on the left, that sometimes struggles. But the staff in the back has his back because they ask for your order to get it going so you'll have it by the time your credit card is approved. Bottom line is this is my go to place.
