I was so upset so I said, "why is it so hard to understand my order?" Pulled pork is pulled pork, not grilled pork. I never even mentioned the word "grilled". A guy came out from the kitchen so I explained myself and he said what I want is the pulled roasted pork and I said, "that's what I ordered". She tried to explain something to him in Spanish, but he told her to just give me the pulled pork and I was on my way. She just ruined my day, and I could feel my blood pressure rising. I came in simply trying to figure out whether my order had gone through. Instead of someone calmly helping me understand what happened, I felt like the employees immediately became defensive and argumentative. I was told that my order hadn't gone through when it actually had, and when I tried to explain what happened and that I had been waiting, I felt like I was basically being told that I was lying. I know how long I waited, and I know what happened. What bothered me most wasn't even the mistake with the order. Mistakes happen. It was how quickly the interaction became confrontational instead of someone just listening and trying to solve the problem. I was more than willing to have a normal conversation and figure things out, but I did not feel like I was given that same respect in return. I have supported Dave's for years, going all the way back to growing up in Los Angeles. That is exactly why this experience was so upsetting. A brand should value the people who have supported it, not make them feel like they have to fight just to be heard. I really hope the Capitol Hill location takes customer service, de-escalation, and how employees communicate with customers more seriously. As a girlie from Los Angeles, the Seattle location isn't it. They're franchising for the money and don't care about anything but money in a new market. But I will say, Seattle girlies watch out, they want your money with the low quality they offer. But I will say the food is good, it is chaotic at night and sometimes it's a struggle to get all of your order.
