Dill pickle sandwich
Vince U.

We didn't have time to eat in and took our order to go, but the service was quick and easy. And if you have not yet tried their dill pickle sandwich, you are missing out! They don't seem to have them all the time so you will have to be on the lookout for when they offer it. Highly recommend!

Has our society actually devolved to a point where the bar for customer service is so low that you can't get a human being to take your order for a sandwich. In my first ever visit to a Jimmy John's, the employees weren't even speaking to the customers, other than to yell out their names when their order was ready. We even had to get our own bags, sides and drinks. There are only 3 employees working during the lunch rush, which makes everything much slower than it should be. I'm writing this before I've even received my order, but the service is so bad that I'll never try another JJ's, no matter what the food ultimately tastes like.

I'm upset I didn't check the dates on all the reviews earlier and just stopped by instead. Clean efficient and friendly service. I walked in after the lunch rush so was pleasantly surprised no one was inside. One thing I will tell you the sandwiches are good but they do run small compared to other shops so be prepared to get a large if hungry. If this place a chance and doubt you will be disappointed.

Mask isn't covering full face and nose. Said that people can't hear him. He's the manager.

Normally really good service, but today after ordering online I went into get my sandwich and it wasn't ready. Matter of fact, he just got done ringing up two customers and did their sandwiches first?? After I had ordered on line. The manager was wearing a mask but it wasn't covering his nose and partially his mouth. Making a joke to another customer that he's to young to worry about COVID-19. WHAT!? It's not just about him, mostly in a customer based company/deli shop. I'll be more cautious about ordering from here and may have to go back and to Subway.

Did I order a tuna sandwich or a lettuce sandwich. I can't remember. Where's the tuna!?!

The country club was good. Then I ordered the Tuna sam another day and it was horrible. It is so odd to me that cheese isn't automatically in these sandwiches and you have to ask for it. Who eats sandwiches without cheese?! Anyway.. used to LOVE JJ's. It has become quickly overrated. Got very ill from their hot peppers at their Woodinville location. I think it's about time I stop giving them my money. There are better options out there.

#12 Beach Club on wheat

MMmMMMM Beach Club (#12) on the wheat bread is sooooooo yummy! I swear I walk into this place and I feel like Norm from Cheers! The workers are always extremely friendly and they are so fast! At only a mile or so away from me it's an easy walk to get a sandwich I know I will love every time! When you go just be prepared to open wide & shovel in the goodness!

Lorenzo opened Paseo in 1994, where his popular Cuban roast pork sandwiches were regarded as among the best in the country. After years of local expansion, Paseo abruptly filed for bankruptcy in 2014. The brand was subsequently bought out by a local entrepreneur, but the sale did not include Paseo's secret recipes (the reboot attempted to reverse engineer the sandwiches with varying success). So, in 2015, Lorenzo's sons revived Paseo under a new name, Un Bien, armed with their father's original recipes. Nowadays, Un Bien is generally regarded as superior to Paseo, and you can grab their Caribbean sandos at one of the three locations across Seattle. You can't miss the pastel pink-and-teal palette of the original shack on an otherwise drab block of Ballard. As you approach the wooden window, you are greeted by the aroma of sauteed meats and veggies. Communal laquered wood benches are lined up underneath a covered pergola. Fifties hits ring respectfully around the kitchen. My partner and I visited for late weekday lunch, and we ordered immediately. We opted to focus on the signature pork shoulder, so we split the #1 Caribbean Roast and #2 The Press. Across both sandwiches, we were impressed by the tender pork, rich onions, lemon-forward aioli, and marinade-soaked baguette. The standard roast pork sandwich added on pickled jalapenos and crisp romaine, culminating in a dynamic flavor that accentuated the meat. Meanwhile, The Press featured tart banana peppers, smoked ham, and melty Swiss, amping up the sweet and savory flavors alike; we agreed that this extra-messy sandwich just edged out the standard version. Our order took just minutes to be prepared, and the bill just topped $30. Despite the fanfare, I still found myself surprised by just how satisfying Un Bien's sandwiches turned out to be. Across all the food I ate in Seattle, only these pork sandwiches would be worth a return visit, even if I had to venture out of my way.

Messy, pricey, totally overrated…read more My family and I visited Un Bien and arrived approximately 45 minutes before closing. We ordered promptly, but were told we would only have about 10 minutes to use the seating area before it closed. When we asked for clarification because the restaurant was advertised as being open until 9:00 PM, staff confirmed they were open until then but said the seating area would close earlier anyway. After receiving our food, we were told not to sit down and were asked to leave the seating area altogether. The interaction felt abrupt and discourteous, especially given that we had arrived well before closing and had purchased food with the expectation that we could eat on-site. The food itself was average, but the poor customer service and inconsistent messaging about seating left a much stronger impression than the meal. There are other better places. Skip.

I've had my eyes on the Fast Eddie ever since I heard about this place because it was one of the most recommended sandwiches. The ambiance was alright. Pretty dark imo but maybe because it was just after Christmas and they had their holiday decor up. Also the bar area was closed. I was a bit confused on where to order until I realized there were kiosks by the front counter. It would've been nice if one of the workers actually had said something to me. Anyway, onto the food. I got the Fast Eddie with fries and it was alright. The meat was bit dry. Yes there was the au jus to dip in and it helped quite a bit, but all the flavors just didn't mesh. It was basically an ordinary french dip. The fries were okay, but the jalapeno aioli was great! That made everything better, but not enough to save the sandwich. Not sure if I would come back, but I would definitely try a different sandwich. One that caters more to my taste buds

Really good sandwiches!…read more I was visiting Seattle for work and during my break, I decided to go to the Armory for lunch. This was certainly a great choice, the food is excellent! I had their Philly Cheesesteak, which was awesome. Everything is cooked to order, so there is a slight wait after ordering, but it is certainly worth it. Located in the Seattle Center Armory, along with many other food vendors, Big Mike's Sandwich Company is serving up huge cheesesteaks, chopped cheese, and other East Coast-style subs. For $25, I picked up the cheesesteak and fries combo. Not a terrible price for the portion. Waited about 10-15 minutes for the sandwich to come out. You order on a tablet here, and then they call your name. It's a small storefront, so you really have to stay nearby to hear your name being called in the large space that is the Armory. Not much interaction with staff. Plenty of seating throughout the Armory, though shared with other restaurants. The food came out piping hot. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.

We ordered the Meatball Sub and Eggplant Sub with marinara sauce. Both sandwiches were flavorful and satisfying. The meatball sub was hearty and comforting, while the eggplant sub had a rich marinara sauce that worked well with the sandwich. We were especially disappointed that the Cubano was sold out, as it was one of the main reasons we stopped by. The only drawback was the price--at around $20 per sandwich, it felt a bit expensive for what you get, especially considering it was just a 6-inch sub, even though the quality was good. We visited during a FIFA World Cup match, so the line was quite long, but it moved steadily and efficiently. No complaints there. The atmosphere is casual and straightforward, with indoor seating only. Its downtown location near the stadiums makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal before or after an event. Overall, a good sandwich shop with quality food, though the pricing keeps it from being a must-visit. I'd still come back to finally try that Cubano.

Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. This place doesn't screw around. If you want a great, hearty, flavor-packed sandwich, this is one of the best places to throw your money. But, as others have pointed out, it's no cheap date: expect to pay over $20 for one of those mighty pastrami sandwiches.
