I'm not really sure how I've never written a review for Jimmy's since I've been in a good 5 times now. This is one of those spots you love to patronize because the people are very friendly, the food is good, and it's not going to break your wallet. My kids love this place and anytime we are on that side of the free bridge it's nearly an automatic that we are stopping in. My one son and I even walked across once during bacon fest because we knew how close we were and wanted to grab one. I love getting dogs with red onions and the ones here are different, but good. Everyone makes them different but these are less sauced and a little less seasoned than I'm used to. Still enjoyable. The one thing I will say that I don't love here is they just toss a slice of American under the dog if you get a chili cheese dog. Would definitely prefer a cheese sauce or finely shredded cheddar on there. Just a preference thing. We will be coming here as long as they're slinging dogs. Good dogs, decent food and prices. Service is modest but standard for this type of food delivery. Location offers ample parking behind the restaurant. Its a take and go type of location so ambience would be the surroundings. Close to the free bridge and just a short walk across to Easton and many areas to shop down town. read more

Very cool hotdog joint on the Delaware river near the Phillipsburg/Easton free bridge. We ve been here a lot and never disappointed. Always enough parking. It could use a little more shade during the summer. One con is it's not as clean As I'd like to see. The tables and floors around the tables in the eating area needs to attention, not gross mind you, just needs attention. You can see into the cooking area which is a huge plus, it's very clean from what I could see and the staff is great! We will be back. What can I say! This place has history, this place has location, this place has hot dogs! No worries hot dogs are easy you can't miss. Have a gyro!!! The gyro was jam packed with gyro meat veggies and taziki sauce! I wasn't going to stuff myself and decided to only eat half... Yeah right!!! I had a gyro and cheese fries from Jimmy's a few weeks ago, and I am still impressed. The pita itself is homemade and has a crispness you don't often get from a gyro. The meat itself was slightly salty but still very good. I would love to bottle the cucumber-garlic sauce (taziki?) and put it on EVERYTHING. The cheese fries were crisp, and the cheese had a soft velvety texture. Reminded me of cheez wiz and velveeta mixed together. Mmm. I will return to Jimmy's the next time the need for a wonderful gyro arises : ) read more

The gyro is really tasty, since they let the slices get a nice, crispy side to them, by searing on the griddle for a bit. They griddle the pita, too, which, "yay!". The dogs are pretty good, largely because of that red onion sauce they make. That's some delicious sauce! Their burger was 100% revolting. Never gonna do THAT again. They must've squashed it with the spatula to make it cook faster. Bad move, Jimmy's. It was dry like the friggin' Sahara, waaaaaaaaaay too many diced raw onion, and not one gram of love. This past September I walked across the free bridge from Easton and had a couple of dogs. Absolutely delicious!! Whereas the hotdogs were great the friendliness of the staff was even better. Kind, smiling and genuine friendliness coming from those behind the counter. They melt their cheese between the hot dog and bun, which makes for a more tasty and less messy eating experience than the usual chili + cheez whiz that most hot dog joints use. Immaculately clean shop at the end of the free bridge. There is indoor seating along with outdoor picnic tables. Restaurant serves all types of burgers, dogs and cheesesteaks. I love gyros. Good gyros, bad gyros, all the gyros. If you put enough tzaziki sauce on my arm, I would gnaw it off. The gyro I had tonight blows all the other ones in this town away. The seasoning was amazing. The sauce was a thing of beauty. And the pita? I hear they're homemade. And they're HUGE. I'd love to tell you more about how amazing my dinner was but I need a nap now. The food was pretty good but wow was the woman taking the orders and calling our numbers rude and short with everyone. I understand that it was a Sunday during the lunch rush, but she took being overwhelmed as an excuse to be very rude to the customers. When our food came out they forgot our drinks and I was honestly afraid to go up and ask for them. We did, but the attitude we, and everyone else received was totally uncalled for. I like to try hot dog joints, and Jimmy's is located along a route I occasionally take. The Jersey style Chili dog is very good the rolls are fresh, and the staff is always friendly. However, what separates this from other hot dog stand is its cleanliness. As you look into the kitchen when you place your order, the kitchen and floors are spotless. I am a curious person, and one thing I enjoy is watching what I presume is the owner preparing fast food. I'm sooooo disappointed. Jimmy's used to be soooo much better. Recently got takeout. The fries were good but my gyro was borderline. Specifically the tzatziki sauce. First of off there wasn't enough and what was there appeared to be watered down. Just awful. I feel as if I'm being robbed. Well let me back up.. Just getting into the place was difficult to say the least. Trying to park while the body's shop was moving cars was unnerving. Once we got our food. And sat to eat them. I would imagine in the day light it would be nice. We were there right after sunset. And it gets very interesting.. People yelling at each other. And people walking through were we were sitting kind of staring. Yeah maybe I'm paranoid. But I have lived in a big city. And I developed a sense of self security.
