3 cheese grilled cheese and tomato bisque
    Jennifer L.

This was a last ditch effort to find family friendly food in a pinch. They're located inside of the Silver Cloud Hotel. Their lunch menu is very limited and the food was just ok. The mimosas were strong and were only $5. We had the smash burger and it was a pretty good size but the amount of lettuce on it was ridiculous. The grilled cheese was pretty good and so was the tomato bisque.

We came in for their $5 Bloody Mary (Saturday & Sunday until 11am) and discovered why they're so cheap. The limes were moldy/rotting. The food was good, but the service was impersonal. We weren't offered water and didn't get any when we asked for it.

Sooooo. DELICUOUS. I had been craving Jimmy's food for so long we had to make a post doc visit stop. We got the gem Caesar salads. Mine on the right is the STARTER size; great portion, sundered tomato, pulsed toasty breadcrumb topping, bold caeser dressing, u swapped out my shaved parm for blue cheese crumbles (nice creamy spin) and the entre er split the blackberry grilled cheese. Gorgeous blend of sweet and savory and the tarter sauce is what a true seattle tartar is all about. Dill forward and FULL of zesty diced pickle.

Jimmy's is a hiding gem on the border of downtown. Their signature cocktail are always yummy and their menu is fantastic. They recently got a new head chef and changed their menu and have added some nice items. My ribeye steak last night was amazing with the homemade chimichurri sauce set the steak off. No need for A1 at all. We had our crispy coconut shrimp for an appetizer and the 5 jumbo shrimp were huge. Lastly for dessert with had NY Cheesecake with berries! What more can I say. Get you at seat right next to the kitchen at their high table and get great service! You'll love this spot!

The house red wine and Painkiller cocktail!

I love this place. This is the bar/restaurant in our fave hotel. The staff is amazing and hilarious. I could have died laughing tonight. I wish I got their names but anyway...they are the real deal and why we keep coming back. We had the house red wine and also the painkiller. The painkiller was awesome! We also had their wings with the Korean spicy sauce. Freakin delicious. I recommend them all the way.

Crispy Bao is all you need. Ours was cut to share for 4.

This is what you're going to do. You will go for drinks and Crispy Bao, 1.5 orders per person plus one for the table. You will order the Seaplane and then think WTF, Joy, this smells like feet, but after 3 sips you will embrace the bitterness against the delicious tangy, salty Bao and then you will thank me for leaving this review. (The rest of the menu was pretty standard fare, nothing special, but I'd go back and give my left arm for those Bao.)

Jimmy's has easily become one of my go to breakfast take outs during COVID, with their corned beef hash and a sunny side up egg as my favorite. I'm not usually a fan of thyme, and never thought to throw it into a corned beef hash, but somehow Jimmy's found a way to make it delicious and make me think "okay, that makes sense!". When you first open the to go container, it may appear the portion is tiny, but the portions are great and enough to save for a 2nd meal. I've found some restaurants will try to cut corners, and utilize more potatoes than corned beef, thankfully Jimmy's gives a fair split between the two. I've also had their brioche French toast, and it is thick (but in the best way). It comes with 3 pieces, but given the thickness it's almost like they gave you 4. So far given what I've tried, I'm looking forward to trying their other options. On the off chance they're taking suggestions, I'd be a fan of being able to order a single and/or double piece of their French toast as an add-on.

Everything is immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. If you're a bourbon lover, this place is paradise. Their collection is incredible, but what truly sets them apart is the service. The Bourbon Curators, Ms. Hannah and Mr. Tommy, along with our amazing waitress Ms. Sassy, make you feel like a VIP from start to finish. They welcome you with open arms and create a personalized bourbon journey -- teaching you about flavor profiles, history, and how to discover different palettes you never knew you had. It's not just a drink menu... it's an experience. And the food? Michelin-worthy. We shared the Autumn Chicory Salad and the homemade Autumn Mushroom Pasta -- both beautifully crafted, rich in flavor, and perfectly paired with the bourbon experience. Every bite showed off the kitchen's talent and passion. We were actually recommended this restaurant by strangers we met at the Seattle Space Needle -- and wow, did they steer us right. The Ballard's Cut surpassed every expectation. If you love bourbon, phenomenal food, and top-tier service from people who treat you like family, then this is the place. Do not miss it.

I genuinely don't know what to do with that explanation. The food took so long. I ordered my steak medium rare and it arrived overcooked. I thought this was a steakhouse and yall can't even cook a steak medium rare? One person in our party never received their salad despite asking multiple times. Their stupid steak dish is $50 entree with zero sides. I added cauliflower for an extra $17 charge and received something I could have made in five minutes. Finally, we tried to order dessert and were told they were out of the item we all wanted. This place is a ripoff with terrible service.

I have been to this place many times and I think this time is going down hill...with rude services. Last night's dinner was a complete flop. First, you quietly added a 4% "operational fee" without informing us, then another 10% tax, while still expecting an additional 20% tip? Dinner for two ended up costing nearly $350 -- meanwhile, last week in Toulouse I had a far better dinner for less than 100 euros. To make matters worse, you poured butter mixed with anchovies over our steak, completely destroying the natural flavor of the beef. The "au poivre" sauce on the side ($5 extra) was honestly terrible. And the steaks are charred and bitter. The final insult came when the manager walked over and very rudely told me I needed to put my feet properly inside my new $1000 Louis Vuitton sandals. When I said there was a nicer way to speak to customers, he replied, "I'm just being honest." Well, honesty without manners is simply rudeness. What I ordered: Wishing to sample a little of everything, we were served, family style, two orders of Bread ($9 each) - buttered with salt and pepper; Fritto Misto ($12) - assorted, lightly fried and pickled vegetables with tarragon aioli; Smashed Burrata ($19) - snap peas, preserved lemon, mint, basil, sherry reduction; Carrot & Tahini Dip ($16) - caramelized garlic, feta, pistachio, crudite; two orders of Heirloom Tomatoes ($21 each) - melon, chevre, crispy quino, soft herbs; Crispy Potatoes ($16) - whipped feta, hot honey, mint; Mushroom Agnolotti ($34) - roasted maitakes, chanterelles, whipped ricotta, miso butter, thyme; Roast Chicken ($42) - chickpea, berbere yogurt, marinated cucumber, mint gremolata. To finish off our meals, we shared the Olive Oil Cake ($14) - basil yogurt cremeux, strawberry gel, and the Chocolate Tiramisu ($16) - mascarpone, rum, amaretto, candied hazelnuts. What I loved: Oh man, every dish was delightful. I found something to savor and repeat in each of the dishes we were served. From the sweetness of the heirloom tomatoes, to the creamy burrata, from the crispy potatoes, to the fresh peas and everything in between. Our least favorite, at the table was the mushroom Angnolotti, inconsistent from bite to bite. The presentation of the Carrot & Tahini dip was a bit haphazard compared to the rest of the dishes served, but the flavor was still lovely. Why I loved it: The service was unparalleled, comfortable yet professional and quick to offer recommendations for our larger party. The decorations and quaint spaces truly welcoming, and the food, excellent. Cost: High ($40+ per person)
