The only things to nitpick- coffee was just okay (standard for Seattle is high) and service could at times be slow but that's understandable given it's a pretty lean crew. The mimosas were strong and were only $5. We had the smash burger and it was a pretty good size but the amount of lettuce on it was ridiculous. Sooooo. DELICUOUS. I had been craving Jimmy's food for so long we had to make a post doc visit stop. We got the gem Caesar salads. Mine on the right is the STARTER size; great portion, sundered tomato, pulsed toasty breadcrumb topping, bold caeser dressing, u swapped out my shaved parm for blue cheese crumbles (nice creamy spin) and the entre er split the blackberry grilled cheese. Jimmy's is a hiding gem on the border of downtown. Their signature cocktail are always yummy and their menu is fantastic. They recently got a new head chef and changed their menu and have added some nice items. My ribeye steak last night was amazing with the homemade chimichurri sauce set the steak off. No need for A1 at all. We had our crispy coconut shrimp for an appetizer and the 5 jumbo shrimp were huge. Lastly for dessert with had NY Cheesecake with berries! What more can I say. Get you at seat right next to the kitchen at their high table and get great service! You'll love this spot! read more

I love this place. This is the bar/restaurant in our fave hotel. The staff is amazing and hilarious. I could have died laughing tonight. I wish I got their names but anyway...they are the real deal and why we keep coming back. We had the house red wine and also the painkiller. The painkiller was awesome! I took my out-of-town team of 10 to the Capital Hill Jimmy's tonight (a Thursday) and it was fantastic. Our waiter tonight was Sunny, who was attentive and funny, but still gave us space. The cocktails were as fantastic as usual. I've been to Jimmy's a bunch for HH over the past few years, and it's reliably solid for drinks and shared plates (the Jimmy's fries have rosemary and parm and are ridiculous). What actually prompted me to write this review was the food, and dinner service from Sunny. The food was really good (asparagus not overcooked, and good quality, generous portions for the blue-collar offerings like burgers and chicken parm) and again, Sunny was an excellent host. read more

My mother and I ordered the cob salad... two days in a row. It was good, however each time they forgot the bacon. We had to request it after they served. Should have been n includes. Tonight I order a GF pasta (pesto chix) and the pasta was undercooked... as in crunchy. Other than the convenience of being next door to our hotel, and the hospital (mother had a procedure). Jimmy's has easily become one of my go to breakfast take outs during COVID, with their corned beef hash and a sunny side up egg as my favorite. I'm not usually a fan of thyme, and never thought to throw it into a corned beef hash, but somehow Jimmy's found a way to make it delicious and make me think "okay, that makes sense!". When you first open the to go container, it may appear the portion is tiny, but the portions are great and enough to save for a 2nd meal. I've found some restaurants will try to cut corners, and utilize more potatoes than corned beef, thankfully Jimmy's gives a fair split between the two. I've also had their brioche French toast, and it is thick (but in the best way). It comes with 3 pieces, but given the thickness it's almost like they gave you 4. So far given what I've tried, I'm looking forward to trying their other options. On the off chance they're taking suggestions, I'd be a fan of being able to order a single and/or double piece of their French toast as an add-on. read more

Every bite was delicious and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was classy and the staff made us feel like we'd just been welcomed home. Love the breakfast at Jimmy's on Broadway in Seattle, WA. They opened at 7 am, provided fast, welcoming and friendly service, without us asking, but were not pushy. We stayed at the Silver Cloud Hotel and had a morning flight back home. Restaurant was immaculate and was rated excellent for cleanliness. It was modern and comfortable. Had their Biscuits and Gravy breakfast that had chorizo gravy, perfect biscuits, warm and very tasty with a over medium egg cooked perfectly. My wife had the eggs, bacon and toast breakfast, with excellent, crispy and creamy breakfast potatoes. Would highly recommend for breakfast. Haven't tried lunch or dinner, but look forward to trying it in the future. read more

Came in for Christmas and there was a decent crowd. The food came out quickly and we devoured every last bit of both dishes. I had the lemon chicken and my friend had a pasta Bolognese special. We also ordered some festive winter drinks like my jalapeño spiked hot cocoa. Only disappointment was dessert. We got the cobbler and it was more like jam with granola and ice cream on top. My family and I were trying to find a spot in Capitol Hill to get some lunch. This is a pretty average place which had a pretty expansive brunch menu - salads, soups, and burgers were also available for lunch options. I ordered the quinoa and chickpea patties with vegetables (broccolini and cauliflower-lini - is that a thing?) which was pretty good. I rate this a 3/5 because the food wasn't anything that special and the service seemed a bit slow, so it was pretty average. While in Capitol Hill I think there are many better options, but this isn't bad either and it seemed pretty empty for Sunday brunch if you weren't able to snag a reservation for other choices in the area. read more

We stopped in for breakfast at Jimmy's during a visit to the Seattle University neighborhood. It was a terrific choice...the food was fantastic, served quickly but a very friendly and accomadating staff, and the ambiance is lovely (we sat next to the fireplace). It is also very convenient that they offer free parking at the hotel. The only downside is that there was garbage outside the hotel and restaurant. It would be helpful if the hotel and restaurant "adopted" the sidewalks out front of their establishments. That said, it is worth a return visit for sure. read more

I haven't eaten in the restaurant, but I ordered room service while staying at the Silver Cloud. My breakfast was delivered in fifteen minutes and it was very good, fresh and well-prepared. The scrambled eggs, toast, bacon and hash browns were enough to serve two people. The tasty hash browns were made from small gold potatoes, smashed and fried. The toast was accompanied by a local raspberry jam, the best I never made myself. The meal was pricey but worth it for those on a tight schedule, and it really would have fed two people--unless one has a huge appetite! My daughter and I enjoyed our room at the Silver Cloud. The hotel is clean and casually elegant, the staff is friendly, and the beds were comfortable. It is within walking distance of Swedish Hospital, and we heard ambulance sirens two or three times in the night. But the convenient location was perfect for us. read more

We were there on a Sunday morning when the place first opened. The restaurant is huge and quite impressive. We got to sit in a comfy booth near the area where they put in the orders. As the place filled, It was amazing to see how the staff works through the orders like a well run machine. The food is delicious. We had omelette, pancakes (the Best!) sausage, toast and delish coffee. Our waitress was very sweet and had not problem substituting a few items for us. We will definitely be back!! read more
