My mom and I were in town recently for a garden event and wanted to grab brunch afterward. It was a nice Saturday so most places seemed to be packed. We decided to try Jim's since we were near it. We entered and it took a bit to be acknowledged. We took a seat and were told a younger server, Isabella, would be taking care of us. Although there were few customers inside and two servers working, it took a long time for her to come to our table, so long we were seriously tempted to leave. She also would make eye contact and turn away without speaking to us. The service was really bad. This was young server, so she will almost certainly improve, but she really needs to learn some small social graces, like saying, "I'll be with you in a minute." or "I'm sorry there was a wait." A little awareness goes a a long way. The interior matches the strip mall exterior - it's a diner dive. The food was fine, but not anything special. They served bottled beer and mimosas. There's plenty of parking in the lot. But I won't go back. There was actually a time when we were waiting for a check and she was sitting at the counter chatting away to someone. Um? What? And in a pinch, perhaps the older server could have helped us out ...

I've been here many times. The food is delicious. Burgers are one of the best in town. Fries are the best in town. Peanut chicken salad is amazing!

Heard this place had good breasted chicken so we decided to check it out. It was pretty good. I got the 4pc as it was only $2 more than the 2pc. You also get your choice of soup or salad and potato. I went with the chicken and dumpling soup, which was good. I had the mashed potatoes with gravy, which had a touch too much garlic for my taste. The broasted chicken was crispy and juicy.

This small old timers restaurant used to be an okay place to grab a quick meal, but not anymore and is horrible now. We had specific instructions for our order and it was completely disregarded. After taking our order home we called to complain and speak with a manager. There was no one in charge they said. A detailed message was left with a girl who said she'd have the owner call. Guess what? He never did. Even after another phone call the next day, we spoke with Jim on the phone, he sounded annoyed, and that he'd return our call. He never called, what a suprise. The food is mediocre at best, the help is clueless, the owner Jim doesn't give a darn, and it's a waste of your hard earned money to go here. The produce and other ingredients are pathetic. Spend your money at another quality restaurant in Cedarburg. We'll NEVER return. Edit: The broccoli soup was the consistency of wallpaper paste.

They were very faint in color and taste. When we mentioned to the owner, she got defensive and claimed "I've never been accused of pouring a short drink!" We didn't say she did. The only thing that could have made them better was if they used Honeybaked Ham. - Burger sliders. My friend said they were excellent and the size was good for being a slider. - Bread service. It was both savory and citrusy, a really nice compliment. We did have to order a side of bread with it, so that's one improvement the restaurant could make - bread is a necessity with a cheese dish! Next up we ordered their Mixed Greens Salad which was a perfect light & tangy salad with a little bit of sweetness. Highly recommend. Finally, we shared the seared walleye entree. I pretty much order fish everytime I come here because they cook it to perfection and it's something I can't make at home as easily. A reply would have been respectful and could have helped me understand why food was horrible. First I'd like to say setting up reservation for Easter, service and the restaurant-bar was great. We had expectations of a menu because there was no advertising about a buffet. When we called and made reservations nothing was said about a buffet at all. So the 4 of us were disappointed. I would normally go straight to yelp and put a review in, but I thought I'd contact you with my concerns first and see your reply because mistakes do happen. The buffet itself was very disappointing. Salty over crisp bacon, tough overcooked prime rib, desserts tasted like they had freezer burn, chicken was dry, shrimp were warm and selection for 30 dollars was ridiculous. I do have to say the Bloody Marys, coffee, potatoes were good. Our waitress was fantastic and I was impressed with how clean everything was. The fact that we made special plans for Easter and had a friend in town from California we wanted to take her somewhere special really upset me. She actually told the waitress not to waste the overcooked beef she couldn't eat, but to give to someone's dog so it didn't go to waste. I've done bigger buffets myself and prime rib could have been sliced at omelet station. I will leave it at that.
