Chicken fried steak, eggs and hash browns.

Stopped by with friends. We were looking for a place to grab a solid breakfast; Yelp didn't disappoint. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It is in a strip mall and has two entrances. It isn't very big inside and is reminiscent of an old diner. How much do these things matter to you if the food is good and reasonably priced? The menu doesn't go on for multiple pages. It is your basic breakfast and lunch joint. You know it is solid because it was packed and you had people of all ages. Our group started out with coffee. While I can guarantee it wasn't a high end blend, it was hot and flavorful. Our cups were never empty as someone was always bringing around a refill. I ordered the country fried steak. It was prepared well and was tasty. My sunny side up eggs were perfect and the hashbrowns were crispy (as ordered). My toast was good, even though it wasn't rye bread, as I had ordered. My tablemates had omelettes and sides of pancakes. Both enjoyed their meals, but didn't like the processed cheese slices on top of their omelettes. Overall, the inside needs some TLC, but the meals were good, ample and reasonably priced. I'd give it another go in the future.

This has become my new favorite cozy spot to grab a casual bite for breakfast. It is so unassuming but it's really the best place to get all the classics at a very reasonable price. AND they serve breakfast all day. I have been ordering the Two x Two x Two with sausage, scrambled eggs and chocolate chip pancakes or french toast. Finally the servers are always friendly and kind--I love the family-owned vibe. I'm so glad my boyfriend introduced me to this cute cafe!

This place was great. I don't live in Wisconsin anymore, but I went home to visit family and stopped at Lina's to grab a quick bite for breakfast. All of the staff were super friendly and the breakfast burrito I had was delicious. I didn't dine in, but the inside was a nice little diner with plenty of room. Definitely recommend!

While driving to West Bend I posted in a foodie group on social media asking for suggestions for places that serve a breakfast burrito. One of the first replies mentioned Lina's Cafe, which reminded me that I had previously bookmarked them but hadn't yet tried them. I made a slight detour to Slinger and placed a to go order for a bacon, egg, and cheese burrito with crispy hash browns. The hash browns were sort of crispy, the top moreso than the bottom. Unfortunately, they were bland. No salt or pepper and no buttery flavor from being grilled with butter. Just plain potato. It didn't dawn on me until I was in my car that I didn't receive a utensil packet, so I didn't have any salt or pepper that I could add on my own. The breakfast burrito was good, but not made like I ordered. I asked for bacon and it came with sausage. It took a half an hour for the food to be made because they were so busy and I didn't feel like going back in and waiting to have it remade, so I just ate it. I'd like to try it again with the bacon I expected. The dining area has around 12 to 14 booths and tables combined, most of which were added during a recent expansion, with maybe 10 seats at the counter and every seat was taken with a couple people waiting for something to open up. While sitting at the counter I was overhearing several conversations where employees were referring to customers that were waiting for a table by name and customers were making small talk with employee about how school is going, so this is clearly a place that has a strong, loyal following that allows for relationship building over time. Good for them.

This is an awesome dinner for a hardy breakfast. The biscuits and gravy are very nice. But the country fried steak and eggs are a home run!

This cafe is a hidden gem. I love super close and seldom visit, which is a shame because it is such a cost neighborhood cafe.

Okay, I will say right from the start that I am a fanboy of Tofte's Table. Have been coming here…read morefor many years and have always been impressed. Even had our 40th anniversary party here (on a Monday night). It's an excellent restaurant AND with reasonable pricing. The restaurant is small and intimate. There is a bar area, that has seating, or you several different areas of different size groups. A large table in the middle can accomodate a large group. The staff are always over-the-top amazing. The menu is tapas style has a large variety of dishes, and they change it occasionally to keep it fresh. There are several items that are always on our go-to list including the truffle brussel sprouts, chicken legs, pork belly, grilled veggies and the flourless chocolate cake. The owners Christina and Jason are terrific people. Super easy to work with when we planned our anniversary party.

We started with the Brussels sprouts. They seemed deep fried, which isn't my preference, but we loved them. Garlic aoeli and Parmesan was an unexpectedly good flavor. They then served the roasted beet arugula salad. Although we don't like beets we loved this salad. One serving gave each of three of us a decent amount of salad. It had a great dressing applied in just the right amount and delicious pickled onions. The roasted beets seemed a touch mushy but were palatable to beet dislikes. Next we moved onto the scallops. We highly recommend them they arrived on a bed of pasta with some vegetables and a wonderful cream sauce. We loved them. Just be aware you need to say how many scallops you want. It's $8 per scallop. We finished with the beef tenderloin. Be careful with your requested doneness. We asked for medium rare and received rare. Otherwise they had a nice crunchy sear and a delicious flavor and accoutrements like mushrooms and the most smooth, creamy, and flavorful garlic mash I've ever had. It had five good sized slices. These three dishes filled up three of us. They serve one plate at a time which gives your meal a relaxed, social feel and also gives you time to digest. It takes about 20 minutes for the brain to receive the message you are full so I think dining at this relaxed pace allows you both to get the full flavors of each dish and also to eat just the right amount and not overeat. The only bad part of the meal was the espresso martini. Don't get it. I've tasted way better. Didn't even finish it because of not great taste.

There was one waitress working and she did not stop moving. She also did not miss a beat. No one had to remind her to fill drinks, clear their place when finished, bring them the check etc. I mean she was definitely on top of things. The food was served in generous portions, and made to order. It was cooked well and served hot. The drink selection is Pepsi products with a variety of soft drinks, coffee, water, milk, juice, milkshakes, and a variety of beers. The diner feeling is ever present and this restaurant offers a relaxing experience. The food is good, the price is fair, the service is top notch. The croissant breakfast sandwich was good but the bacon was cooked to nearly dust on one end for some reason. I snapped it off and ate the rest. I asked for crispy but not great hash browns. They were crispy. Check. But also greasy and worse, cold. Not even hardly warm. When she came to check, she asked how things were and I said "Eh" and was about to let her know but she left. So I had to take them home which I explained when I asked someone else for a box (told her they had been served cold but she said nothing). As a note, reheated they were very greasy and not good. The Leanne's special with waffle and eggs and bacon was good. That bacon was cooked right. We also ordered the kids' chicken tenders with fries which were good (but we were overcharged for them which required us to point that out after the check came to get it fixed). Overall, would try here again for breakfast but disappointing as I've been coming here since 2012 when they first opened and had very limited hours and prior to the multiple remodels and expansion next door.
